I stand outside the barricade waiting for any sign of the boys to let me in the barricade, but it seems like they have all fallen off the face of the earth. I sit on the ground playing tic tac toe with myself in the dirt when I hear footsteps approaching the barricade. I look up to see Marius and Cosette walking and giggling. I roll my eyes. I would rather deal with Enjie now than to deal with their icky mushiness.

I see Marius look my way and wave. I decide to pretend that I didn't see him wave to prevent a conversation with him, but then I realize that he was not waving to me.

I look up and see all the barricade boys standing atop the barricade as if they magically appeared.

"Hello guys and Me! I want you all to meet Cosette!"

"HHHIIIII!!! I'm surprised you haven't ran screaming from Marius yet!!!" I yell to Cosette.

"I already know you Me"

"I know, but do you really want to know Me already"

" True"

"That's what I thought."

I look over at the barricade and see that half the members are just staring at Cosette with their mouths open and drooling. Grantaire is drooling, but is passed out drunk, Enjolras is almost asleep and probably not very interested in Cosette and the rest are either looking bored or gawking at Cosette.

"Wow she's pretty" I hear Coufeyrac say, but then I see Enjolras elbow him in the stomache. "I mean she is pretty...cool yeah, pretty cool."

Immediatly half the barricade boys rush down to offer to walk Cosette to the barricade or to make dinner plans as "friends".

Marius strolls up to me with a surprisingly huge smile on his face. With all of his friends hitting on his girl, I would expect him to be mad.

"Everybody seems to be getting along great here! We are all going to be great friends!" Marius says.

"I think some of your friends want to be a little more than friends with Cosette." I mumble.

"what?"

"oh nothing"
