The Lewis Pamphlet

Disclaimer: AJ and I do not own the song lyrics or Les Mis. The only part we own are ourselves. And that's it! On with the chapter!!

Third Person POV:

AJ Swiffen and Richard Grantaire, although he prefers to go by either R or Grantaire because reasons, are waiting outside of Terrie-Marie, more commonly known as Tari-Mari,'s final class of the day along with Kaylin Lambert. AJ's arms are crossed nonchalantly and R is standing tall at his height of five feet ten inches (1.778 meters). Kaylin looks very confused as to why she's here, as AJ dragged her out of her French class the second the bell rang a few minutes before and has not spoken a word about why they're here yet.

Tari-Mari walks out of her last period classroom and is instantly bombarded by the trio radiating "that bitch" energy. "What do you want?" she says snootily. AJ rolls her eyes at Tari-Mari trying to be sassy but failing.

"We need to talk," she says casually, turning on her heel and flouncing down the hall. Kaylin, still very confused, follows after her best friend and pulls up even with her.

"What are we talking to her about?" Kaylin whispers quietly to AJ.

"She's paying you money and I wanna find out where it's coming from and why." Kaylin 'ohhhs' and starts to smirk. "What?"

"Let's just say we could do a reenactment of The Reynolds Pamphlet." AJ looks confusedly at Kaylin, but then they arrive at their destination. The theatre, where nobody else is. AJ spins around and cocks her eyebrow at Tari-Mari, tapping her fingers on the red velvet seat next to her.

"So what's the money for Kaylin about?" AJ says casually as R tilts his head, looking exactly like Heather Chandler. It's hilarious.

Tari-Mari's eyes widen in fear but then revert back to their bitchy glare. "I don't know what you're talking about. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go." AJ rolls her eyes once more as if they're going to roll right off her face.

"Is the money coming from the school? Because I think that's a crime." Tari-Mari vainly tries to refute the claim of stealing money from the school treasury but fails terribly.

"FINE I'LL TELL YOU!!" Tari-Mari shouts. AJ and R look at each other and then back at Tari-Mari, twirling their hands in a "tell me more" motion. Kaylin grins and quickly buts in, saying a line from the Mean Girls movie and musical.

"Also she totally cheats on Enjolras. Every Thursday she says she has SAT prep but really, she's hooking up with Montparnasse." AJ and R gasp dramatically.

"No-" AJ and R deny in unison.

"But yes!!" Kaylin interrupts happily. Then she glares at Tari-Mari, who gulps. Nobody has ever seen Kaylin like this before, ever. "Seriously, what do you see in Montparnasse? He's stoned like all the time, involved in a gang, and not even trying to do anything in school to benefit society. Enj is wayyy better."

AJ laughs. "Preach girl!" she exclaims, high-fiving Kaylin. "Byeeee," she says, walking briskly away with R and Kaylin at her sides, blowing Tari-Mari a kiss over her shoulder and leaving her standing there with an agape mouth.

The Next Day...

The school is abuzz with whispers throughout every hall, many holding the newest edition of the school newspaper. An editorial with the name The Lewis Pamphlet is inscribed on the front page, written by the school's one Tari-Mari Lewis. Even though it's written "Terrie-Marie."

The students, unknowingly singing along to one of the best Hamilton songs in the playlist, start to gossip about this paper, saying, "The Lewis Pamphlet!"

Kaylin, R, and AJ strut to the front of the school, saying in a faux-shocked voice, "Have you read this?"

Mr. Valjean, in trying to fit in with his students and the new music references, says, "As a matter of fact, I have," which causes Kaylin to have to hide her face from the 'audience' in order to control her laughter.

Ferre walks up to join AJ and R as Kaylin walks back over to Enj, who is looking very, very confused at why this is such a big deal.

"Tari-Mari Lewis had a torrid affair and she wrote it down right there!" Ferre, AJ, and R say as one voice.

Kaylin whispers under her breath, "Biggest mistake ever Tari-Mari, you should take notes next time."

R shouts, "HIGHLIGHTS!!"

Tari-Mari joins in this time, reading the editorial out loud to the entire student body along with AJ. Not a very smart decision.

"The charge against me is a connection with one Kaylin Lambert."

Kaylin sneaks up behind Tari-Mari and shouts in her ear, "KAYLIN LAMBERT!" Tari-Mari jumps almost three feet in the air, scared out of her wits.

"For purposes of improper speculation. My real crime is an amorous connection with Marion Montparnasse for a considerable time while still dating Gabriel Enjolras." All of Les Amis look at Enjolras in shock at his first name, Enjolras blushing a deep red.

"My parents are Catholic okay!!" Enjolras defends. Kaylin walks back over to Enjolras and pokes him in the chest.

"Hi Gabriel," she says with a smirk as Enjolras shakes his head.

"Please stop," Enjolras pleads with Kaylin, who just smiles innocently.

R, Ferre, and AJ shout, "DAMN" and Mr. Javert comes up behind them.

"Detention all three of you for vulgar language." The three students glance at each other and burst into laughter, almost missing their next cue.

"I had frequent meetings with him most of them at my own house," Tari-Mari, AJ, and R all comment, AJ dancing around and making all of the students in the halls laugh (A/N: she's dancing like Jefferson... but with a crutch).

Combeferre looks shocked. "At her own house?"

R walks up to Ferre and nods his head. "At her own house!"

Then, a deep voice filters in through the school's speakers. "DAMN!" All of the students, except for Tari-Mari, burst into laughter.

"Enjolras being absent planning a revolution or whatever the fuck it is they're doing," Tari-Mari and AJ read as one, AJ's face growing angry.

"WE'RE TRYING TO BETTER THE COMMUNITY!!" Enjolras shouts in indignation at the jab at the Les Amis de l'ABC's club but not at his first girlfriend cheating on him?

Ferre and R gasp, appalled. "No..."

All of the Les Amis "boooo" Tari-Mari.

R and Ferre walk up to other students and hand them copies of the paper, saying, "Have you read this?"

AJ smirks and jumps on top of the stairwell, somehow landing perfectly fine and not on her sprained leg. "Well she's never gon' be popular now!"

R and Ferre copy her line, "Never gon' be popular now!"

"Well, she's never gon' be popular now!" AJ sings beautifully.

"Never gon' be popular now!" R and Ferre sing on.

"She's never gon' be popular now!"

"Never gon' be popular now!"

"That's one less thing to worry about!" AJ says, tapping Tari-Mari on the head.

"That's one less thing to worry about," R and Ferre finish the first part of the song. Kaylin, pretending to be Angelica, runs onto the 'stage' and struts over to Tari-Mari.

"I came as soon as I heard!" she cries.

AJ, pretending to be shocked, shouts, "What??"

Tari-Mari looks at Kaylin in confusion. "Kaylin?" she asks, perplexed.

"Kaylin interacting peacefully with Terrie-Marie? DAMN!!" all of the students shout. Javert sighs, as he can't give every single student a detention.

"Kaylin, thank God someone who understands what I'm struggling here to do."

"I'm not here for you," Kaylin dismisses Tari-Mari with a glare.

All of the students "ooooh" in unison.

"I know Enjolras like I know my own mind. You will never find anyone as trusting or as kind; I love Enjolras more than anything in this life. I will choose his happiness over mine every time. First you hurt my best friend and now this? I'm standing at his side. You could never be satisfied! God, I hope you're satisfied!!"

AJ cheers Kaylin on as she sings. Kaylin turns on her heel, hair flying behind her and whacking Tari-Mari across the face, and walks over to Enjolras, who is very confused as to why AJ is flinging the school newspaper in the air.

"Well, she's never gon' be popular now (never gon' be popular now)
Well, she's never gon' be popular now (never gon' be popular now)
Well, she's never gon' be popular now (never gon' be popular now)
That's one less thing to worry about (that's one less thing to worry about)
Hey (she's never gonna be popular now)
At least she was honest with our money
Hey (she's never gonna be popular now)
She's never gon' be popular now
She's never gon' be popular now"

"That's one less thing to worry about. That's one less thing to worry about!!" everyone in the school sings. "The Lewis Pamphlet."

"Have you read this? You ever see somebody ruin their own life?" AJ, R, and Ferre ask the students.

"Her poor ex-boyfriend," everyone sings, looking sadly at Enjolras, who looks back at everyone with the most confused expression you could ever have.
