My Master Splinter was once a human. He went by the name of Hamato Yoshi. Well, until he mutated into a rat. Splinter raised us and taught us the ways of the ninja. Whenever we needed advice, he was always there to guide us.

On one particular day, my brothers and I had finished training. I went to Sensei and said, "Master Splinter; Father... Can I talk to you?"

"Of course you can, my son," replied Splinter, "is something troubling you?"

"Well," I hesitated, "how did you feel when you first fell in love?" Splinter thought for a moment, and said, "When I first met Tang Shen, my heart felt different. There were nights where I could not sleep, for I thought of Shen during those nights..."

"I kinda feel the same way about this one girl Sensei," I admitted. "The one who performed the Heimlich Maneuver on you?" Splinter asked. I nodded as I replied, "I think I'm in love with her, but I'm not sure..."

Splinter put his hand on my shoulder and asked, "Does Twilight make you happy?" I nodded and said, "Yes, and I feel better when I'm with her."

"Then what you are feeling is more than just a simple crush," confirmed Splinter, "it is normal to have these types of feelings, my son."

"Should I tell her how I feel?" I asked. "Only when you feel you are ready," said Splinter, "do what your heart believes is right. Don't make the same mistakes I did."

"But some of those mistakes might have resulted in good things," I said, "like us." Splinter smiled and said, "You are a good son, Leonardo. I would be most interested in meeting Twilight."
