This is another chapter that is through the third person point of view.

It had been two weeks since Shredder's death. At Canterlot City, Shining Armor was in his car with his wife Cadence and their 6 year old daughter Flurry Heart. The family had tried their best to move on from Twilight's death. It was hard to say the least. But Shining Armor took Leo's advice to heart, taking care of his wife and daughter. He parked his car at the house he and his family lived in. "I love you Cadence," he said. Cadence smiled and said, "I love you too Shining Armor."  They then kissed, and afterwards, went inside the house. A few minutes later, Shining Armor heard a knock on the door. "I'll get that dear," said Shining Armor as he got to the door, and opened it. It was Sunset outside. "Hey Mr. Armor," said Sunset as she smiled. "Oh hey Sunset," said Shining Armor, "how was your trip to Japan?"

"It was good," replied Sunset. Shining Armor smiled a little. "How's Garrett doing?" asked Shining Armor, who had last seen Garrett after Twilight's funeral, suggesting to the young doctor that he forgive himself for Twilight's death. "He's doing a lot better," Sunset said more happily, "When Leo and I were in Japan, I Skyped with Garrett, and he told me his faith in humanity was restored after he helped deliver a healthy baby girl. He's learning to live each day like it was his last, and that's a good moral. He's currently dating Applejack, so life's good for him." Shining Armor smiled even more. "Well that's good," he said, "if there's anyone who deserves a happy ending in all this, it's your brother. What about you? You seeing anyone?"

"Well, I'm seeing an old friend," said Sunset, "her name's Starlight Glimmer. Oh, before I forget, Leo wanted me to give you this." She gave him a small postcard. "Thanks Sunset," said Shining Armor. "I'm gonna go see Starlight," stated Sunset, "you and your family take care now." She then walked off. Shining Armor went inside the house, holding the postcard. "Who was that honey?" asked Cadence. "It was Sunset," said Shining Armor, "she just wanted to say hi and let me know that her brother's doing well." Cadence smiled and said, "Good to know. Garrett's such a nice boy." Shining Armor then looked at the postcard. It had a cherry blossom tree for a background, and said, "Greetings from Japan"

Shining Armor looked at the card, then he decided to take a look at the back. It had a short letter. The letter said...

Dear Shining Armor,
You'll be pleased to know that I have good news. It's taken me a year to accomplish this, but I have finally killed The Shredder. Twilight has now been avenged. Although The Foot Clan is now dead, crime is still rampant. And I will not stand idly by as an innocent person like you or Twilight is harmed by villains. I will now be a protector to New York as The Nightwatcher. While the path I've taken is a dark path different from the one I took with my brothers, I will stop evil wherever it lurks. Just remember Shining Armor, if you or your family ever need my help, I'm always here for you all. Thank you for everything.

Shining Armor smiled after reading Leo's heartfelt letter, and said, "Thank you, brother..." He then went back to his wife and daughter. As he once said, life will go on.
