Going to Japan
This chapter is written in the third person point of view.
After talking it over, Leonardo and Sunset decided to go to Japan to look for Shredder. And of course they would bring Spike with them. Sunset was on the plane to Japan, looking at the sky. To pass the time, she read a book on how to speak Japanese. After a few hours, Sunset made it to Japan. She held Spike with her, walking to a hotel. One of the employees wheeled a large box to her room. Her room had two separate beds. "We hope you enjoy your stay here in Japan, Miss Shimmer," said the employee, who spoke English. "I appreciate your generosity," said Sunset, "can you hand me the crowbar please?" The employee nodded, giving it to her. "I can handle this myself," stated Sunset, "Domo." She did a traditional Japanese bow. The Japanese employee bowed back, and smiled, leaving.
Sunset used the crowbar to pry the large box open. Once the lid opened, she said, "okay Leo, you can come on out, the coast is clear." Leonardo, in his Nightwatcher suit, got out of the box, and once he was out, he took off his helmet. "Was it stuffy in there?" Sunset asked, "I hope you didn't feel suffocated." Leo took off his gloves and said, "Don't worry, I'm a ninja. I know how to make my oxygen last in places limited with air." He gave Spike a belly rub. Sunset smirked and said, "Good to know. You hungry? I think you shouldn't get revenge on an empty stomach."
"Sure, why not?" Leo rhetorically asked. There was no way he could argue with her. "Is it true you used to work at a sushi restaurant?" Sunset nodded, confirming this. After they ate, Sunset changed into her pajamas. "You should get some rest," recommended Sunset. "Evil never takes a rest." Leo said in a vengeful voice. "Trust me Leo, if you get rest, it'll help your body," stated Sunset. "I can make one hour's meditation for my body feel like eight hours worth of sleep. I'm well trained for that," retorted Leo. Sunset rolled her eyes, smirked, and said, "You're more of a showoff than Garrett. Actually, Garrett wasn't much of showoff." Leo rolled his eyes and said, "Alright, if you insist..." Leo took off his suit, the pads on his knees and elbows, his belt, and his bandana, and went into his bed. Sunset went into her bed, tucking herself in. Leo tucked himself in, and Spike went to his bed, cuddling up on the pillow. Leo smiled, petting him.
The lights were off, but Leo couldn't sleep. He had been so used to sleeping with Twilight in a bed together. He missed her warmth and the way she rested on him. "Sunset, are you awake?" Leo asked. "Yeah, I'm awake... What's the matter Leo?" Sunset asked in reply. "I want you to know," began Leo, "I really do appreciate what your brother did for me. Going out of his way to bury Casey and April and Miwa and father and... My brothers..."
"Of course Leo," said Sunset, "it would've been cruel to not bury them. Garrett knew I loved Raphael..." Leo smiled, tears in his eyes. "Thank you for everything Sunset," said Leo. "No problem," replied Sunset, "goodnight Leo." Leonardo yawned and said, "Goodnight Sunset." They both then fell asleep. As they fell asleep, Spike would switch from Leo's bed to Sunset's to back again in a pattern, in a way, protecting them.
