Chapter 1: From Halloween to Christmas.
This story is a Christmas story, but the trouble starts on Halloween.
...
It was Halloween and the Loud's had put on a party.
Leni was dressed as an angel.
Leni's friends Jackie and Mandee yelled at each other in the middle of the living room, while everyone stared. The two girls had a disagreement on what costume to wear. They both wanted to do a theme together. Jackie wanted to do something cute, but Mandee wanted to do something creepy.
And now they were both at the party with no costume.
"It's Halloween Jackie!" Mandee shouted. "We're supposed to look creepy!"
"No way am I smearing fake blood all over myself!" Jackie exclaimed.
"Guys stop fighting!" Leni insisted. "If you're upset about the costumes, I'm sure my family has some extras you can borrow."
"STAY OUT OF THIS LENI!!!!" Jackie and Mandee yelled.
Leni's lower lip quivered.
"Oh, look you upset Leni." Jackie said.
"Me? You're the one who yelled at her." Mandee retorted.
"I did not!" Jackie shot back.
Leni turned around and headed for the stairs.
"Great party Leni." Maggie, a girl from Leni's school, said sarcastically. Maggie was the kind of girl who would wear dark colors and make-up even if it wasn't Halloween. Much like Leni's little sister Lucy.
Leni headed up the stairs as Maggie laughed.
Leni heard a squeaking sound from her and Lori's room. Lori and her boyfriend Bobby had gone up the room at the start of the evening and have not come down since.
Leni knocked on the door.
"Lori, I need someone to talk too..." Leni said.
Lori opened the door. Much to Leni's surprise Lori was completely naked.
"This isn't a good time right now." Lori said, trying to hide her naked body behind the door.
"Lori. Jackie and Mandee are fighting, and I'm worried our friend group is totally going to be torn apart." Leni said. "And why are you naked?"
"Really Leni?" Lori said. "You literally took the same health class as I did. I think you know why Bobby and I are naked. And as far as your friends go, just stay out of it and I'm sure things will work themselves out."
"You really think so?" Leni said.
"Trust me Leni." Lori assured her. "This will all blow over in a couple days, I promise."
Lori closed the door. Leni could hear Lori's voice say, "So where were we?" Then she heard Bobby reply with. "You were doing that thing with Leni's toothbrush."
"Bobby! She's right outside the door."
A disgusted look grew on Leni's face and she backed away.
...
"Just hear those sleigh bells ringling, tin tin a tingling too. Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you."
Christmas carols played in the mall. It was now after Thanksgiving and Jackie and Mandee were still ready to bite each other's heads off.
"You're always borrowing money from me and never returning it!" Mandee yelled.
"Yeah right! I always pay you back." Jackie replied. "Leni' don't I always pay Mandee back?"
"I don't know." Leni whimpered. "I never pay attention to that."
"Are those two still fighting?" Fiona asked.
"It's been this way for almost a month." Leni said.
"Too bad." Miguel added. "I was just starting to like them."
"You're not talking about kicking them out of our friend group, are you?" Leni said with a worried voice.
"Well it's not really fun hanging out with two people who are always yelling at each other." Fiona said.
"But they're my best friends." Leni said.
"Ahem." Both Miguel and Fiona said.
"Besides you two, of course." Leni corrected herself.
"Well I just hope they don't ruin the Christmas party." Miguel said. "I'd hate to see them argue over Christmas sweaters the same way they argued over Halloween costumes."
"Hey. Maybe I can get them to make up at the Christmas party." Leni said.
Leni walked up to the fighting girls. "Hey, are you two coming to my Christmas party?" She asked.
"So long as Mandee here doesn't decide to show up covered in blood." Jackie said.
"EW! I wouldn't do that on Christmas!" Mandee said. "That was just for Halloween! Besides it was fake blood."
Meanwhile...
"Die Hard is totally a Christmas movie." Lincoln said as he and Clyde strolled through the mall.
"I don't know, seems a bit violent to be a Christmas movie." Clyde said.
"Well so is Gremlins." Lincoln responded.
"Hey, isn't that your sister?" Clyde said.
They turned their attention toward a bench ahead of them. On the bench Lynn Jr laid face down. The two walked over to her.
"Hey, Lynn what's up?" Lincoln asked.
Lynn looked up at him, she had a said look in her eyes. "N-Nothing." She said. "I was just talking to... to Francisco."
"Isn't that the guy you like?" Clyde said.
"Apparently he doesn't feel the same." Lynn sat up. "I finally got up the nerve to tell him how I feel. Turns out I'm "not his type" Whatever that means."
"Well some guys only like certain types of girls." Lincoln replied.
"Yeah, cheerleaders with big boobs." Lynn replied. "Lincoln do you think I'm pretty?"
"What?" Lincoln said.
"I never thought about how I looked before," Lynn explained. "But I'm not very attractive, am I?"
"Why would you say that?" Lincoln asked.
"Well look at me," Lynn said. "plus, I'm pretty hard to be around."
"For the record Lynn." Clyde said. "I think your beautiful."
"Me too." Lincoln said.
"Really?" Lynn said. "How am I in any way pretty?"
"Well you have beautiful eyes for one." Lincoln said.
"And you have great hair." Clyde added.
"And your freckles are really cute." Lincoln said. "I'm actually surprised your still single."
"You guys really think I'm pretty?" Lynn said.
"Well yeah." Clyde added. "But more importantly, you're a kind and caring girl. Even if you hide it under this tough girl façade. Why do you do that anyway?"
"It's complicated." Lynn said.
"Well I have another question for you." Lincoln smiled.
"What?" Lynn replied.
"Would you consider Die Hard to be a Christmas movie?" Lincoln asked.
"Psh, only the best Christmas movie ever made." Lynn replied.
...
Mandee had broken off from the others. She wanted to be alone for a while, just to wander through the shops in the mall for a bit and think to herself.
"They'll never understand you." A voice came from behind her. She turned around.
"Maggie?" Mandee said.
"Yeah hey." Maggie said.
"Geez Maggie, you nearly gave me a heart attack." Mandee said.
"Nearly?" Maggie raised an eyebrow. "Can't say I didn't try."
"So, uh... Can I help you?" Mandee said.
"I couldn't help but hear your conversation with your so-called friends." Maggie said.
"Uh they are my friends." Mandee said. "We're just hitting a bit of a rough patch. That's all."
"Sure." Maggie crossed her arms. "Or maybe you just saw the truth about the popular kids. All they care about is being popular and staying popular. You wanted to be something cool and creepy for Halloween, but that didn't fit the popular girls' image. That is why Jackie yelled at you, you upset the status quo."
"Uh, yeah I don't think so." Mandee said. "Miguel is in that group too, and he went as Jason Voorhees."
"The popular girls don't want friends, not real friends." Maggie said. "They just want to look pretty, and for everyone to like them. But they would turn on you in a second if it meant keeping their popularity. They're just like politicians."
"They're not all like that." Mandee said. "What about Leni Loud?"
"Leni Loud? She's a senator, right?" Maggie said.
"What? NO! She's a girl at our school. One of the popular girls." Mandee replied. "And one of my best friends."
"Oh, I thought we shifted to talking about politicians." Maggie replied.
"Ew, no! Why would we do that?" Maggie said.
"Well I said popular girls were like politicians and..." Maggie said.
"I hate politics!" Mandee said.
"Oh, wait Leni Loud? She's related to that buck toothed girl who carries around a dummy isn't she." Maggie said.
"Yes." Mandee said.
"Leni's just like the rest." Maggie said. "She may seem nice. But under that warm exterior is the cold inner workings of a popular unfeeling robot. I bet Leni would kick you to the curb in an instant if it meant she could remain popular."
"Um actually, robots would be pretty warm." Mandee corrected her. "You know with all the working parts and electricity and stuff."
"Do you even know what a metaphor is?" Maggie asked.
"What's your problem anyway?" Mandee said. "What made you decide to just come over here and start talking shit about my friends."
"Don't say I didn't warn you." Maggie said before leaving the store
...
Just as Leni was about to leave the Mall, Lori cut her off.
"Leni, I need to talk to you... In private." Lori said. The two girls made their way into the nearest girls bathroom.
"Lori what's wrong?" Leni asked.
"I need to tell you this Leni." Lori said. "I... You're the only one I can trust right now..."
"Lori, what's going on?" Leni asked. "Are you in trouble?"
"Maybe." Lori said. "Remember when You caught Bobby and me last Halloween?"
"Yeah." Leni said. "Wait a minute, are you..."
Lori sighed. "I'm pregnant." Lori admitted.
This is just a fun little Christmas story I thought of about Leni and The Loud House. Just a cute little short story. It will likely be about 3 chapters.
