Day 15
Today a raging conversation from downstairs echoed up the steps.
I didn't try to sound out every shout that bounced off the walls and through my doors. I waited patiently for Phillip to open the door, his tie a neon orange (must be wacky Sunday) and his hair a mess. He had traces of sweat forming around his forehead and his hazel brown eyes had a wild anger about them.
~~~~~~~~~~
Phillip looked as if he was trying to say something (his mouth parted slightly), but his anger stopped him. Doors slammed down the steps and cars engines revved as I waited but still Phillip stood there.
"We have a guest for breakfast," he mummbled while making his departure quickly. I had a thought about how it would be inapropriate to eat breakfast in pajamas, but I brushed the thought away. I haven't gotten dressed before.
I walked down the steps in my violet pants and grey tank-top, jumping the last three. I followed the smell of syrup and eventually found the kitchen. The guest was in my favorite seat, forcing me to find a new one.
In my head I pointed out details. He was around nineteen with vibrant blue eyes, matching Edward's. his nose was bent downward and he had a strong jawline- also matching Edward's.
I am seeing a pattern.
The only difference was his hair. The young man's was straight, pale blond and had greyish reddish brown highlights. This must be Evan, Edward's younger cousin.
"Jacob! Say hi to Evan!" I chirped as Jacob's bed head was visible. You could probably tell he was a mess from outer space. Each of his chocolate brown strands stood askew, his shirt slept in and his face had imprints of crocheted blankets. He reluctantly yanked his right hand away from his eye to give a friendly wave before grabbing his fork.
"You must be Taylor! I thought I asked to be introduced by myself but I guess Phillip already did it," Evan chirped, slightly grumpy.
"Yes, and Phillip doesn't need to introduce someone who is psychic to anyone, and your zipper is down," I stated with a false smile.
"What sport do I play?" he asked, though it was more of you are not really psychic statement. It was also a stupid question since he had his mit sticking out of his backpack.
"Baseball," I mumbled as I dug into my pancakes.
Evan glanced over to Jacob but his eyes were focused on the globs of syrup pooling out. "I'll say you have great observation skills," he glanced down at his bag.
"When the aliens come and choose someone blessed with the third eye and make them chocolate queen on earth you will regret your disbeliefs," I commented.
"Sure," he chuckled, avoiding my eye contact. My butt then vibrated.
"I'll be back!" I squealed, leaping away from a social life.
"We're not waiting up!" Edward called to me.
Slamming the door I did a really cute dance of trying to get my phone out of my pajama pocket.
Fine it was ridiculous.
I scrolled through my texts until I found a video for me.
I popped it open and watched in horror.
Whatever monster would do such a thing will pay.
