(SURPRISE! Did not expect a new chapter this soon, did ya? Well, I am determined to finish this season. So, enjoy!)

I smile as I see Ninjago City. Finally home, after flying for most of the day while also not letting out fears get the best of us. I activate my powers to check on how everyone is doing and spirits are still high. "Chen and his Anacondrai army have a day's start on us. Be prepared for anything and everything." Lloyd says. "How did we lose so much time?" Kai asks. "You know, you took an oath to never leave a man behind." Darreth says as he rides with Zane. We picked him up quickly after summoning our dragons. (No man left behind.) "And we're not all quick learners. Mastering your fear to create Power Dragons takes time." Jay says. I move to fly beside him, "I still believe Elemental Dragon is better." I state. "We've already lost enough time, let's not lose anymore. There's Ninjago City. Hurry." Nya states. "Right." I agree. "Hurry's my middle name. Hee-Yah!" Griffin exclaims as his dragon flies at a quick speed.

We all fly above the city. "Remember, whatever happens down there, we're stronger united. We fight as one." Lloyd states. "Let's do this!" Jay shouts then has his dragon dive down. But before I followed the others, I gasp as my powers flare up and I don't feel... Chen or his goons. They're not here. The citizens are amazed and in awe of the dragons, but things are calm. "Serpentine!" I flinch when upon hearing a woman shout and quickly navigate my dragon to where it came from. I land next to Kai after the people cleared the area, looking over to see Skylor cover her face. Oh, it was her they were frighten of. Kai comforts her and I smile at the two then a car horn is heard, Kai having his dragon raise their leg to let her pass.

I make my dragon vanish and walk over to stand with Lloyd and Garmadon. At least he and Skylor still have their faces as they are and not like the goons' heads. "If we're the first ones they've seen, where's Chen and why hasn't he attacked?" Garmadon asks. "Your guess is as good as mine." We all then look to see a man approach us, he wears black and blue uniform with a protective vest and a hat with a gold badge on it and with NPF. "Who are you?" Lloyd asks. "Captain Sam of the Ninjago Protection Force. (Remember him~?) We had an alert go off at our main base of some incoming air crafts. We had others deployed throughout Ninjago to different locations to help keep tabs and ensure the people get to safety for in case things get ugly." He informs.

"Huh. And here I thought we had to be Ninjago's only saviors." I comment, resting a hand on my hip. "We have to Skylor and my father off the streets before we alarm everyone. Everyone else, stick together and watch over the people!" Lloyd orders. Some of the masters fly off on their dragons. "I'll inform the rest of the force to keep an eye out for purple serpentine on the loose." Officer Sam says. "Thanks, cap." I thank him. He tilts his hat then walks off. I then feel Skylor's surprise and turn my around to see her left arm return to normal. I gasp and walk over to her, gently grasping her arm. "The spell is wearing off." I mutter. "What? Really?" Kai walks over and I let go of Skylor's arm. "Did I hear the spell is wearing off?" Jay asks as he, Nya, Cole and Zane appear.

I close my eyes as I feel my powers flare up and I see... Chen. "In order to the transformation to become permanent, one must obtain the essence of a true Anacondrai." He says. I open my eyes, gasping at the information. "(Y/N)." I flinch and look to see Cole laying a hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" He asks. I inhale softly and nod my head, "Yes. I know why the spell is wearing off along with Chen having not attacked yet." I answer. "Really? How?" He asks. "I'll explain on the way. We need to meet with Wu and Misako." I state. It's time to reunite with everyone.

Third Person P.O.V.

The Ninja, Nya, Garmadon and Skylor all arrive at the Samurai X cave. They walk across the platform and the Flacon screeches as he flies over and lands on Zane's arm. "And hello to you, my old friend." Zane greets, happy to see him. "You're all back." Wu says in relief as he and Misako walk over to to meet with them. "Zane. Look at you. Y-You're all... shiny." He notes, laughing in slight disbelief at seeing Zane. "But where's your father?" Misako asks Lloyd. "It's me, Misako." The group step aside to allow Misako to see Garmadon. She gasps in surprise at his appearance. "Don't worry, the ssspell is wearing off." Skylor informs her. "Which only makes Chen more desperate to act now." Kai states. "Everyone, this is Skylor, Chen's daughter." He introduces her. Misako walks up to her, "You're amongst friends, Skylor." She says softly to her. Skylor gives her a thankful smile. (☺️)

Garmadon slithers over to Wu and the two rest a hand on each other's shoulders. "Thank you for looking after my Misako." Garmadon says. "As any food brother should." Wu responds. Though, (Y/N) looked at Wu with a frown, having felt his affection towards Misako before. "Yesss. A good brother." She frowns as she hears Garmadon say that and the guilt he feels. "There isn't much time." Lloyd states, focusing everyone and walks over to the largest screen. "Our friends are on standby, but we don't know where Chen will strike first." He states. "And if we're not all there to stop him when he first attacks..." "Ninjago will succumb to war. Our greatest fear will come true." Garmadon finishes Cole's sentence. "Then the greatest victory will be that which has no battle." Wu says

"But how do we prevent a war? How do we stop an enemy we know so little about? Not to mention the spell is slowly wearing off so Chen still has time." Jay argues. (Y/N) steps forward, "By ensuring that the transformation does not become permanent." She states. Everyone gives their attention to her. "Becoming an Anacondrai is the easy part, believe it or not, but staying as one is where things get complicated. It requires the essence of a true Anacondrai to complete the spell." She states. "Yeah, that's all true. But Chen and his army are still too powerful to fight right now." Jay counters.

The Flacon caws and flies over to a table with a screen and it shows Krptarium Prison. "We find someone who knows the weakness." Wu states. "No." Everyone looks to see (Y/N) with a scary frown. "(Y/N)-" "No! No, no, no, no, no, no. NO!" She interrupts Wu. (Girl, still got a grudge on a certain someone. 😤) She turns away and crosses her arms. "(Y/N), we need every advantage we can get to stop Chen and his army and who better to know the weakness of the Anacondrai than an Anacondrai themself." Zane reasons. (Y/N) says nothing as she remains silent. "We cannot let the past cloud our judgement in the present." Wu tells her. (Y/N) whips around to face him, "May I remind you that he kidnap and held Lloyd captive, released the Great Devourer and helped the Overlord in ruling Ninjago? He nearly caused the destruction of our home twice!" She states. She pants from her ranting and no one said anything because she was not wrong. (She ain't wrong. 🤷‍♀️)

Cole then walks over and lays a hand on her shoulder. She looks at him, "Look, we haven't forgotten everything that's he's, but he's got nothing on us. And what choice does he have? He's the size of a pear." He says, joking at the end. (Y/N) looks at the ground then closes her eyes as she inhales deeply. "Fine." She sighs out. She then opens her eyes and gives everyone a pointed look, "But I make no promises I will be nice to him." She states. Cole smiles, "That's all we ask." He says. Jay then leans toward Kai, "I'm amazed by how quick she can switch between sweet and scary." He whispers. Kai only nods his head in agreement. (She is a girl with many sides. But don't get on her bad side. 😰)

The Ninja, Wu and Garmadon then make their way to Kryptarium Prison by Elemental dragons. The prison soon is in sight. "Kryptarium Prison." Garmadon announces. The dragons dive down and once they are close enough to the ground, they vanish and the team and senseis land safely in front of the gates. "Home to Ninjago's worst of the worst." Garmadon states. "I'm starting to question if who we are looking for will give us the answers we want." Kai voices. "We must take the risk. After all, a snake knows how to fight a snake." Wu states. A guard in a tower holds up a pair of binoculars and looks through them to see the group. He then presses the button that opens the gates and the group makes their way in.

They follow two men, one gray haired man wearing glasses with neatly combed hair wearing glasses with a small beard on his chin and holds a set of keys as they jingle, and the other is a more tough, stern expression-looking man with stubble on his face and scar on his upper lip to the his left while wearing a protective vest and gloves. "Sorry we had to confiscate your weapons. Here we try to foster what I call 'an environment of encouragement.' The glasses wearing man says. "And I keep telling Noble here that this isn't a juvenile detention center for wayward teenagers." The tough-looking make comments. "Oh-ho, Barnes, you are quite the humorous one." Noble chuckles. Barnes does not respond. (Can you guess where I got that name from?)

Noble then walks over to the wall and uses the keys to turn off the security system. The two lead the group into the main area where many criminals are kept behind bars. "I'll rattle your bones, Warden!" A skeleton shouts at Noble. "Very creative, FrakJaw. Love the puns." Noble responds cheerfully. Barnes rolls his eyes at Noble's response but continues walking forward. "Pajama-Men!" Soto exclaims as he sees the Ninja. "And woman." (Y/N) adds. The group stop. "Easy, Soto, I'm the captain of this ship. Ha, ha." Noble puns. Barnes rolls his eyes, "And yet I do all of the heavy lifting." He mutters. The group continues walking as the pass by cells. "Ninja ain't popular around these parts, considering you put most of them behind bars, hm-hm. But who you're looking for, he hates ninja the most." Noble says. He and Barnes then move to the side to let them pass, "Last cell on the left." Barnes tells them as they come upon a reinforced glass door.

Tea is sipped by none other than Pythor as he lounges on a chair. (Tis him~~~) He hums from the taste. "'Why yes, Pythor, this may very well be the greatest cup of tea you've steeped.'" He speaks in a higher-pitched tone as he plays with a tiny basketball with a painted face. "Oh, you flatter me, Rodrigo, but do go on." Pythor says. "We need your help." Lloyd appears from outside the window behind Pythor. The bleached-white and purple accented Serpentine gasps in surprise as he jumps off his chair and closes the blinds. "Help you? The Ninja? You fed me to the Devourer, defeated every army I've aligned with, even forced me to swallow your shrinking pill! Haven't you done enough damage to my diminishing ego?" Pythor rants.

"No. Spin it." (Y/N) states. Cole spins the dollhouse to have Pythor revealed to them. "Well-played." The tiny Serpentine says in tired tone. (Heh, heh. 😏) "I suppose this is about that culturally insensitive noodle baron and his ilk that are now Anacondrai. Imposters, if you ask me." He says. "Look, Pythor, you don't like us and we don't like you. However, we only came to you because we need to know of any weaknesses of your kind." (Y/N) states, crossing her arms as she give Pythor a narrow look. "Hmph. I'm not going to say another word until you can figure out how to make me big. And don't ask me to trust a ninja." Pythor declines, crossing his arms and turning away from them. (Y/N) clicks her tongue in irritation at his behavior. "Would you trust a sssnake?" Garmadon asks. "Garma-Condria? Oh, now my interest is piqued." Pythor says surprised then intrigued. "Let's make a deal, shall we?" He says.

Zane then gets a beep, "I thought you should be aware that someone has been poking around the Kryptarium database, with an interest in your, shall I say, little friend." Pixal informs as Zane walks out of the cell. "Chen?" He says. "I don't know, but he on your guard. You may be expecting unannounced visitors." She advises.

Lloyd's P.O.V.

"Then you get the spell book, and I'll tell you their weakness and then-" "There's been a breach in Sector 2! They appear to be A-A-Anacondrai- Uh-oh, and they're coming my way. They see me talking on the intercom. Oh, boy, here they come. Why am I still talking on this thing?" Oh, shoot. They're here. "You led them to me? What have you done? There's no escaping an Anacondrai!" Pythor exclaims then tries to open a toy cabinet. "Curse this fraudulent furniture!" He then puts a lampshade on his head. To think I was scared of this guy. "You're gonna have to think of a better hiding place than that because they are here for you." (Y/N) tells him. "AH! Help me!" He screams as he throws the lampshade away.

"Then tell us how to stop them! What is their weakness?" My father asks him. "Don't you get it? There is no weakness. They're Anacondrai!" (Well, that's helpful. 🤦‍♀️) What? "Guys, we've got company!" Kai says. Crap. "I'll handle this." Cole says then goes to fight Chen's goons. "Kai, Jay, go help Cole to keep the goons back and try not to-" A loud crash is heard. "Cause a break out." (Y/N) orders. They go and we focus on Pythor again. Dad grabs him, but then Pythor's swear lands on his normal right arm and it becomes snake again. "Your hand. It's just as (Y/N) said: an essence of a true Anacondrai will make the spell become permanent." Zane says. "We must keep Pythor out of Chen's hands to prevent war from happening." Wu states.

"Then we have to get him out of here. If he's the key to preventing a war, we can't let him fall into the wrong hands. Literally." I state. "Oh, I get it, it's literal because of my size. Ha, ha. Very funny. But I'm a little sensitive to all the size references." I smirk when he said little. "A 'little' sensitive?" Dad teases him. "Okay, I stepped into that one." Pythor admits. "Either we do more size jokes or you shut up and come with us." (Y/N) snips. "Alright, alright. Let's just get out of here." He snips back. (These two, I tell ya.)

Uncle then tells Zane to go help. "Come on, men! Go, go, go!" I hear Barnes and look to find security help the guys to fight against the goons. (Attack!) But then alarms blare and red lights flash. "Kryptarium's on lockdown. If we don't find a way out, we may never escape." Dad says. He, (Y/N), Wu and I start running and manage to slide under the doors before they closed. "Let's move! The sooner we get Pythor out of here, the better a chance we have of stopping Chen." (Y/N) says.

We race down the hallway, but there are a lot of traps. "Oh, some heroes you are. And to think there's only two of them." Pythor talks, while Dad stops and uses his tail for us to jump on as we make it through the spikes without getting pierced. Uncle presses the button and they stop, Dad tossing Pythor to me and I catch him. I hold him in my left hand as I continue running. "Sensei Wu said, the greatest victories-" "Has no battle, blah, blah, blah." Pythor finishes my sentence. (Y/N) then summons a shield to protect us from the fire shoring from the ceiling and ground. "Well, if they're imposters, you're cowards." He says. "EXCUSE ME?" I flinch a little from (Y/N)'s tone. (She mad. 😨) "And what are you? There's a reason we never trust a snake." Wu says then takes off his hat and tosses it through the spiked-balls to press the button to get them to stop as we run past them. "First the Anacondrai betray the truce in the Serpentine War, then you tricke Lloyd-" "Are we still talking about the Serpentine War?" Pythor asks, interrupting Wu.

"Yes! We are, because it is what caused Chen's crazed propaganda in the first place!" (Y/N) shouts. "Well, listen closely, Miss Purple, the Anacondrai had every intention of honoring the truce." Pythor starts as we stop because of a laser wall. Which Dad was able to turn off thanks to his tail slipping through a gap and pressing the button. "It was Chen who told us your kind was going to betray us. We had no choice but to attack." Pythor explains as we run again. "Chen said you were going to betray us!" Dad argues as Wu jumps and uses his staff to keep the closing walls from crushing us as we run. I hear (Y/N) gasp and look to see her smack her forehead. "Of course, Chen hates peace but loves chaos and playing others. He took advantage of both sides to cause the Serpentine War so that he could hold power on all!" She concludes, lowering her hand from her face. (BINGO! 💡)

"Chen's been playing both sides this whole time." I voice then we all slide to make it pass the closing door. We then make it outside and onto the courtyard. "We're not alone." (Y/N) says. We all look to see Anacondrai goons standing on the walls and with some mini-mechs and others were flying in on jets. "Again I say... Cowards." Pythor says as he hides in my hand. "Says the one hiding." (Y/N) comments. "Protect Pythor." Wu states. I put on my hood, "Ninja-Go!" I exclaim and perform Spinjitzu to knock back some goons. I stop spinning and- "Ah!" I quickly look for Pythor. "Ha! I lost him!" I exclaim. "What do you mean you lost him? Find him!" Dad shouts. I look around but then get held by a goon with a spear and another appear in front with a sword ready to swing down at me.

"Found him!" I hear (Y/N) shout and the two goons look. I take my chance and flip the one holding me over and onto the one in front. I then look to see (Y/N) holding Pythor along with kicking and punching some goons back. She then summons a light orb in her hand and throws it at goon which explodes in his face and he screams as he rubs his eyes. I quickly run over to help. "I really hate being small!" Pythor screams. "We know!" (Y/N) shouts. "Look out!" I shout as a goon appears behind her and she back hands them, her hand covered in purple ice. "Hasn't anyone ever told you not to sneak up on a ninja?" I stand next to her. (Nope. 🙂) "We need to get out of here." I state.

I hear a crash and we both look to see the guys run out of a hole in the wall. The dust making the goons couch. "Do you have him?" Kai asks. "He's right- What?!?" I look and my eyes widen to find Pythor gone from (Y/N)'s hand. Two goons appear and they have him then they disappear. "Grah! And I was trying to NOT crush him in a tight grip." She shouts. (There, there. *Pat Pat*) "We can't let them escape!" Cole exclaims as he appears next to us. But then shouting is heard and we all look to see the inmates. "No, we can't let them escape. No more smashing walls." Wu states. "Leave this to me. Ice!" Zane creates a bridge with his powers and we all quickly run up it. Kai destroyed it with his fire to ensure the inmates did not escape.

"We have to get back to the Samurai X cave and come up with new plan fast. Now that Chen has Pythor, we need to do everything we can to stop him before war breaks out." I state. "Ninja-Go!" We exclaim and summon our dragons. "Let's fly!" (Y/N) shouts, her dragon roaring loudly as they fly faster. "You heard her, boys!" Cole exclaims. We all fly as fast as we can. Time is not on our side.

Third Person P.O.V.

The group made it back as Nya, Skylor and Misako all stand at the largest monitor. "We got here as fast as we could." Kai tells them as he and the rest of the group walk over to stand with them. "Twenty noodle trucks have been spotted heading toward Ninjago City just 50 clicks away." Nya informs as she points at the screen, it showing of glowing dots that are the trucks. "Let me guess, they ain't hauling noodles?" Cole says with an angered tone. "Twenty trucks could hold 200 Anacondrai. If they get to the city before we do, the city will be theirs." Zane speaks in a calculated bur worried tone. "And they'll have achieved the pivotal first foothold in the war." Garmadon states. "We have to stop them." Lloyd says.

"I've already wanted the others to head them off at the pass. They should be able to hold the line until you offer support. I had them equip themselves so we could communicate." Nya says. The screen then changes to show Shade, "We're in position. If they show up, we'll be sure to put up a fight." He states with determination in his expression. "They're coming to your location soon." Nya tells him. "I see them." Shade informs.

The Elemental Masters all stand together as the trucks make their way to the city. "Let's show them what we're made of." Shade states, running forward then jumps to summon his Elemental Dragon. The others follow his lead and summon their dragons too. Karloff turns his body metal and everyone else ready their powers, but the trucks end up taking different roads away from the city. (Huh? 🤨)

"The trucks. They're going every which way." Shade informs the Ninja. "What do you mean? Aren't they going to Ninjago City?" Jay questions. "I don't know where they're going, but it ain't going together." Shade answers. "There are over 12 densely populated villages within a 10-click radius." Misako informs as she and the others look at the table which its screen shows a map with small black dots to symbolize the villages. "They aren't planning to launch one attack, they're planning multiple." Kai says. "What do we do? You told us to stay together." Shade says.

(Y/N) steps away as she holds a hand to her chin. She thinks about this multiple attack plan, but she had a feeling that something is not right. "And that's why Chen is trying to separate us." She speaks. "She's right. Chen knows he can't take you all on at once. He's trying to split you up." Garmadon agrees. (Y/N) joins the group as she lays her hands on the table, "Chen is mad, but he's clever. This whole multi-attack maneuver could just be a ploy to launch his real attack." She states. "But even if just one of those trucks makes it to a village, the people won't be able to defend themselves." Misako argues. "We have to protect the people. Tell the Elemental Fighters we have to split up." Lloyd agrees with his mother then orders. "We'll each intercept a truck and stop it from reaching those villages." He says.

"Whatever happened to 'we fight as one'?" Jay argues. "This isn't a vote, Jay. This is stoping the end of our world as we know it." Garmadon states. Jay nods his head as he understands. He and the guys run off and Lloyd follows them, but (Y/N) remains where she is. "What'sss my father up to?" Skylor asks out loud as she leans towards the screens showing the trucks. "Nya, ready the Bounty. We must prepare for the worst." Wu orders. Nya nods her head then goes to get aboard the Bounty. Wu then looks to see (Y/N) still in at the table. "(Y/N), go and stop those trucks with the others." He orders. (Y/N) is about to decline, but feels everyone's fear with her powers. She exhales then runs off. (She got a bad feeling.)

Trucks drive throughout Ninjago. "You heard our orders, split up and intercept those trucks." Shade tells the Elemental Masters. They all then split up and follow after a truck.

Garmadon's P.O.V.

Nya says the Bounty is not yet ready for lift off. "Misako, notify every ally we have. We're going to need all the help we can get." We tells Misako. "And brother. If for whatever reason this doesn't work out, I'm glad you're home." He tells me. But I feel guilt as I remember about the letter. "There's something wrong. What aren't you telling me?" I hear Misako say, her taking my hand with hers. I was so scared and I was unwillingly turned into a snake. "We're on the threshold of war and I'm a man-snake. Take your pick." I say in frustration. "You're my husband, I know you better than that. There's something else." She still calls me her husband after everything and stayed by my side when I was free of evil.

She deserves the truth. But then I look pass her to see Wu- No, I must tell her. No matter the outcome. "Do you remember the letter I gave you long ago?" I ask her. "Of course. Those words you wrote. It was the reason I fell in love with you." She says. She deserves to know. I never truly deserved her. "That letter was not-" I stop as the lights suddenly turn off. "Nya? What just happened?" Wu asks. "I'll have her back online in no time." She says. Hopefully, soon. And hopefully soon I will tell Misako the truth.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I follow after a truck in the Toxic Bogs. I narrow my eyes at the truck. "Wreck it." I state. My Elemental Dragon roars and flies with great speed as we pass the truck then land in front of it, facing it as it continues driving. The dragon then inhales deeply and breathes purple whisps that forms a translucent purple rock wall. The truck hits it and the horn honks loudly. My powers flare up and I feel... I make my dragon disappear and land on the ground, making the wall disappear as I walk to the truck. I grab the door on the driver's side and pull it off. (Oh, crap. And that was with no powers. She strong. And scary. 😱) I grab the goon by his shoulder armor and pull him out, holding him up and glaring at him. "WHERE?" I ask. He coughs, "You're too late." Is all he says. "Everyone come back now!" I hear Wu through the com. I glare at the snake then toss him to the ground. "Get out of my sight. Before I change my mind." I tell him. He quickly slithers off.

I gasp, closing my eyes and holding my right hand up to my head. I see Chen and his forces attacking Jamanakai Village. I feel the people's fear... I inhale deeply and exhale slowly, "No." I state, lowering my hand and open my eyes. "Victory has yet to be decided. And I have yet to get back YOU, Chen." I state. The Second Serpentine War may have started, but it will not last long.
