So, the night was not so great. I pretty much had to knock myself out to get some sleep. And if Chen's theatrics aren't ludicrous enough, I was wrong. The guys, Garmadon and I are in a blimp with the other remaining Elemental Masters. The guys and I even got new Gis, full body uniforms with some leather gear to act as armor along with hoods too.

After the whole finding-out-who-the-spy-is fiasco yesterday, tension has become thick. I can feel it suffocating me. "What are you looking at, Zippy?" I blink out of my thoughts. "The next one out of the tournament." "Uh, heh." I sigh at Jay and Griffin's talk. If you can call it that. Also, Jay had his leg bandaged because I could only heal it partially. "Why so scared, Shadow? Worried we'd find something other than a tattoo?" Kai bites at Shade. "I hope this next fight is between you and me because I'm gonna put you on your back." Shade bites back. I sigh heavily and massage my head to keep myself calm. I pray Cole is doing better than us right now. I hear a wolf whistle. "Do you mind?" And hear Skylor snip. "Tensions are high." Garmadon says. That they are, master. (To put it lightly. 😒) "Yeah, not as high as we are now." Lloyd says. I look back and out the window behind me as I see how the island could fit in my palm from this distance. "Can hardly see the island from up here." Lloyd says. "And I bet you Chen has got something exciting in mind." I comment. I feel fear and look at Neuro as he walks by me. "I've had enough of this. I can't stand heights. Where's Chen?" He says, walking to the front room. I stand up and follow him. He opens the door, but there is no one at the controls. (I don't really have a fear of heights, but I can understand that it is scary to be real high up. So I send all my support and comfort to those afraid of heights.)

The screen flickers on to reveal Chen. "How do I know if this thing's on? Oh, oh, oh, I see, the light. Oh, oh! I'm on." I roll my eyes and walk closer to the screen with Neuro. I feel everyone else behind us to watch. "Right now? Ahem, ahem. Hello, final nine. I see you are all eager for the tournament to commence so one of you can win my Staff of Elements. Instead of fighting for a Jade Blade, today you will be fighting for something different." He says, pressing a button and showing footage of the island, the camera zooming in on, "Nya." She was in her Samurai X uniform and then ran off after seeing the camera. "You know her?" "It's my sister." Kai tells Skylor. "We have an uninvited guest on the island." Chen says. "And she must be holding the proof that will stop Chen." I hear Kai say.

"Find her and you will automatically move on-" "The spell he plans to use when he takes our powers. "-to the final round!" "He wants us all to hunt her down? She won't stand a chance." "Then we have to find her before anyone else does." Agree, Lloyd. I put on my hood. "In 10 seconds the bottom will drop." Wait... WHAT?!? (Yeah, WHAT?!?) But to show you I'm not a bad man, I've given nine parachutes." I hear something and turn around to find parachutes deployed. Wait... Nine parachutes... but ten people on this blimp... The floor is opening... THE FLOOR IS OPENING!!! Everyone screams as we all hurry to grab a chute. "Sensei Garmadon is there? Shoot, that makes ten. Oh, well, I was never good at math. Toodle-loo." I growl loudly. "They guy's love for trap doors is seriously getting on my nerves!" I hear Lloyd exclaims.

The floor opens more and I see the crazy height we would all soon drop from. "CHEN! YOU ARE THE WORST. HOST. EVER!!!!" I shout, right as we all fall. (She mad.) I look around to see everyone move to grab the parachutes. I see the guys and make my way to them. "Lloyd, use your energy dragon!" Jay shouts to Lloyd as fall with them. "I can't! I can't get it to work!" "Yes, you can! You need to focus!" I shout at him. "I'm trying! But it's hard to when I'm currently falling to my death!" "Then grab a chute!" I look around to find a chute then see one and reach out to grab it. I grab it and quickly put it on, pull the string and the chute opens. I pant from the whole thing and look down to see Lloyd falling but also Garmadon. "Crap." I curse, remembering there are only nine chutes.

Third Person P.O.V.

Lloyd grabs the chute, but Paleman appears and takes it from him. He puts it on and pulls the string while Lloyd continues to fall. "Control your fear. Don't let it control you. Center yourself." Garmadon tells Lloyd.

Kai catches a chute. "Huh?" He looks and sees Neuro swoop in and grab it too. "Whoa!" The two circle in the air, passing a flock of birds and Kai lets go allowing Neuro to put it one and slow his fall as he pulls the string. Kai falls and he looks around until his sights find another chute. He summons his powers and shoots fire from his hands to propel him towards it. He grabs it, quickly puts it on and pulls the string. He looks to find Lloyd and Garmadon fall, "There's only one parachute left." He says, worrier for the two.

The father and son grab the chute as the ground gets closer. "We'll share." Lloyd says. "They're only built for one. This is an easy decision." Garmadon says back. "You're right." Lloyd agrees, then pulls the string as he pushes it to his father. Garmadon gasps as he watches his son fall. "What have you done?!" He shouts. Lloyd closes his eyes, "Control my fear." He says to himself. Right as he disappears within the trees, an orb of green light shines and a growl is heard. It is a green energy elemental dragon flying with Lloyd riding it. (Hidden Dragon! 🐉 💚) (Y/N) let out the breath she held, relieved that he is okay. Kai sighs in relief as well, "He made it." "Ha, ha! Of course he did!" Jay cheers. "Atta boy!" Garmadon shouts in pride at his son. "Way to go, Green Ninja." (Y/N) says with a smile. On the ground, Nya stops as she looks up at parachutes. "This doesn't look good." She says out loud. She turns around and runs off.

The masters and Garmadon all land safely on the ground. Skylor lands and takes off the parachute, running off after. Not to far from her landing, Griffin lands as well. As for Kai, he is about to land in the mouth of a volcano, but manages to land on the earth and quickly gains his balance to not fall into the lava. He takes off his hood as he lets out a relieved breath. He starts walking but his chute catches fire. "Ow! Oh, ow, ow, ow, ow!" His cries of pain are heard as Jay ends up getting stuck in a tree. He looks back and takes off his hood but focuses on his own predicament. He moves around but then yelps as falls, "Da-Uh!" He grunts as his back hits the ground, though the pack broke it for him. He groans in pain as his chute covers him. "Argh. That did not feel good." He groans. (There, there. *Pat Pat*)

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Once my feet land on the ground, I ditch the chute and immediately run off. "Hail, combatants," I stop as Chen's voice is heard. "I have left a few treats to help you in the hunt. I hope you use them wisely." I huff. "Clouse, why have I never had a mobile base? It's my new favorite toy." I shake my head as he continues talk and not notice that he can still be heard. "No thank you." I run off again. My eye catches a pair of bolas. "Nope." (🏃‍♀️) I keep running. I swear, when I get my hands on Chen... I stop. "No. No. Just find the others, find Nya, and stop Chen. Yeah. Yeah, let's do that." I tell myself. I inhale deeply, close my eyes and hold my hands together. I slowly exhale, calming down.

I see Jay first and assume he's in a mech. I guess it's better than saying 'ow' every time he takes a step. I then see Lloyd and Garmadon, and feel that they are close. I open my eyes and run in the direction they are in. "If we're going to find Nya before the others do, we've got a lot of ground to cover." I hear Garmadon and move away some plants. "(Y/N)." I smile as I see Lloyd and Garmadon. I walk over to them, "Strength in numbers. Also, you guys were the closest." I say. "Let's hope Jay and Kai are doing well too." Lloyd says. He then points at something, "Look." I see to find, "Nya's footprints." Lloyd says. "Huh? Nya is more clever than that." Garmadon says as he walks over to inspect them. She is.

Lloyd and I walk over Garmadon. "No, she wants everyone to follow these tracks. But only us to see this." He says and I look up to see, "Her Samurai X insignia. Clever girl." I voice. "Can I give you guys a lift?" Lloyd asks, summoning his powers but Garamadon stops him. "Save your energy. It's best to not draw attention. Come on." Garmadon states. He walks and Lloyd and I follow him. I gasp as I felt something- No. I felt someone. No! Some people. One strong and caring, the other logical and... selfless. I stop.

"(Y/N)?" I blink and look at Lloyd. "Are you okay?" He asks. I feel a hand on my shoulder and inhale deeply. "Yes. Let's go." I walk but can't help myself from smiling. Cole and Zane are together... And they got a plan.

Third Person P.O.V.

"Nya, come in? Darreth? Can anyone read me?" Misako asks as she tries to get in contact. She sighs in defeat as she hears nothing. "Still no word?" She looks back to see Wu holding a tray holding two cups of tea walking to her. The two are in the Samurai X cave and are becoming very worried about the others. "Nothing. We've lost all communication." Misako confirms. "How can you be so calm? My husband and son are out there all alone." She snaps at him. "As are my brother and pupils, but we must not let fear cloud our thinning." Wu tells her calmly. He places the tray down, "Sensei Garmadon is there to guide them through this. I have to believe so." He says.

Cole's P.O.V.

Okay, note to self: Don't hide in a barrel filled with flour. Zane and I made it back to the factor, but we couldn't let the guards or any of Chen's goons know we were here. So we hid ourselves. And the workers and elemental masters that lost covered for us. "All clear." I hear Karloff. I gasp as I pull myself out. "Okay, back to our plan to all of us getting out of here." I state. We get out of the barrels and Zane projects a hologram from his eyes. Okay, that's cool. Focus! "Now, if we all tried to tackle the labyrinth, some of us would be sure to get lost. So that is not an option. But Zane here, he analyzed the sewer network." "Sewer network? Isn't that stinky?" Yes, Karloff, it's a sewer. I face him, "Hey, I'd blast my way out of here if I could, but all of our powers are gone." I tell him. "The sewer network is old and can only sustain so much weight. But after adding up all of our combined masses, the pipes will hold by the slimmest of margins." Zane informs. "Did anyone else understand that?" Karloff asks. "He means it'll work." I state. "It'll work!" We all cheer.

But then the doors opens and... Darreth? We all walk over to meet with him. "Don't worry, boys, the Brown Ninja's here. But before I rescue you, can anyone show me how to make a Puffy Potsticker?" Okay, I'm not surprised by him being here anymore. (Yeah. 😒) "Cole, you're here. And Zane. Is that you? Boy, have you changed." He says. "When metal friend say slimmest of margins, how slim?" Karloff asks me. I look down and sigh at Darreth's... (I ain't saying it.) I sigh, "It won't work. Back to the drawing board." I state. Zane sighing, and I am right there with him. I want to get out of here too. But no leaving anyone behind.

Third Person P.O.V.

"Found another one." (Y/N) says. Her, Lloyd and Garmadon looking at another tree with Nya's Samurai X symbol. But before they started walking again, "You said before that Master Chen was your Sensei, but nothing else." Lloyd says to his father. Garmadon walks on, Lloyd and (Y/N) sharing a look before walking over to walk next to him. "And you said he betrayed you and the Elemental Alliance during the Serpentine Wars, but nothing else after." (Y/N) states. "Son, (Y/N), there are things from my past I am not proud of. Perhaps it's time for you to know the truth." Garmadon says. "After the Devourer bit me when I was a child, it took years for all of the evil to fully consume me." Garmadon starts. (Story time~)

Garmadon and Clouse stand in Chen's old monastery, circling each other as they wield wooden swords. They clash weapons and Garmadon jumps back onto a spinning obstacle, Clouse charging at him and swings at him but Garmadon blocks it and pushes him back. He then runs on the obstacles dodging the axes and bars as Clouse jumps on and chases him. Garmadon looks back but gets hit with an axe and gets sent back along with Clouse. The two lay on the ground as Chen watches them with a smile, he wore a black robe with red and purple highlights and his hair a bright red. Garmadon gets on Clouse to overpower him while Clouse fights back. "Good Garmadon. Good Clouse. But you're both holding back. Might I add he who wins this fight shall become my right hand and be granted lordship?" Chen says, making the two stop as they heard what he said.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Wait, wait, wait." I speak up. "You got your title as 'Lord' from Chen after beating Clouse? I just thought you gave yourself that when you were banished to the Underworld." I say. Garmadon sighs, "A title is one given, but not by the one who wields it." He says. "I won by using Spinjitzu. Though, Chen said it was forbidden to use under his teachings but it was fair game according to him for 'doing what had to be done to win.'" He says. I feel with my powers his guilt but also his acceptance of what he has done. "It was a time in our history when Man and Serpentine were not getting along. As our sides clashed, we hoped for a truce. But not Chen." He continues

"He thinks of peace being boring and chaos being excitement. I was against his idea but 'never trust a snake' he said. And... that is when he gave me something. A letter from Wu to Misako. I read what was written on it and due to my fear of losing the woman I love, I wrote my name on the letter to make it seem it was from me." He confesses then walks faster. "Mom thought that letter was from you." Lloyd says as he stops. I stop too. "Letter? Wait, so Misako choose Garamadon because of a letter Wu wrote but wrote his name on it to make it seem it was from him?" I ask, looking down as I think. "As I've told you both, there are things in my past I'm not proud of, but I have no regrets. You, my son, wouldn't be here otherwise." I blink when Garmadon said that.

That's right. If Garmadon never did that, Lloyd would have never been born. And that terrifies me. I reach my hand over to hold his hand and I feel him squeeze mine gently. "My fear of losing Misako controlled me and led me down a dangerous path. A path I hope to one day make peace with." I lift my head to look at Garmadon, feeling his guilt and shame once more. But also the love he holds for Lloyd. I then think about everything I have done. I have been telling myself it was for their safety, to keep ourselves from being torn apart and losing...

I remove my hand from Lloyd. "I... I have a confession to make." I speak up. "What is it?" I hear Lloyd ask. I open my mouth, but then music blares. I assume a fighting stance and look around for anything. "Another announcement?" I hear Lloyd ask. But my powers flare and I close my eyes as I see Shadow get captured, along with feeling his shock and fear. (Uh-oh.) I gasp as I open my eyes. "(Y/N), what's wrong?" I look back at Lloyd, feeling his hand on my shoulders. I take a couple of breaths to calm myself. "Chen's patience is running out. He wants our powers now." I inform. "Then we must keep moving." Garmadon says. I nod my head and walk on. Later. I will tell them later.

Kai's P.O.V.

"Nya! Where are you?" I call out. I hope she hasn't been captured. I stop as I hear something and turn around to see someone hide behind a tree. "Nya? Is that you?" I ask. When I get no answer, I light my hand on fire. Ready to fight. "Whoever's there, I'm fired up." I tell them. "It's just me." Oh! Skylor. I let out a sigh of relief and put out my hand. "I see you didn't pick up any of Chen's special treats either." I say. "Of course not, like I'd ever trust him. And I wanna find her to help get the spell and stop Chen once and for all." She says as she walks towards me. I smile at her help. "Maybe we should be together." I propose, walking over and taking her hand. Wait... Crap! "Aah, that didn't come out right. Eh-huh! I mean, it's a big island, so maybe if we were a couple..." NO! I let go of her hand. "Argh! No. Uh, heh." Get it together, Kai! "What I'm trying to say is, um..." "You want me to help you find your sister. Of course, I'll follow you." Oh, thank goodness she understands. "Heh. It's good to work with people you trust." I state. "Yes, I couldn't agree more." She agrees and takes my hand. I smile at her and she does too. (Smooth. 😏)

Third Person P.O.V.

In the D.B. Express, Chen sits in the chair as he monitors the screen. Clouse and the glass-eyed man arrive, appearing to be holding onto something. "Two fighters down, six remaining. And this one was a bit hard to find." Clouse informs Chen. His master swiveling the chair to face him as Paleman appears, trying to break free. "Urgh! You'll never get away with this, Chen." Paleman spats at the man. "Are you serious? Where have you been? I've been getting away with it time and time again. Oh, take him away, he's boring." Chen says as he swirls around to look at the screens. Paleman grunts as the glass-eyed man takes him away.

"Ugh. You'd think they'd create a trap door in this thing." Chen complains. "Master, Skylor is with Kai." Clouse informs. "Good." Chen says. "But we still don't know where Lloyd, Garmadon and (Y/N) are." Clouse also informs. "Bad! Find them, Clouse. While you're at it, round up the rest of them." Chen orders. "Yes, Master. But something has been on my mind... Why is it that you haven't had the Master or Life participate in any battles prior?" Clouse asks. Chen merely laughs, "Oooh, Clouse, what better way to make the Master of Life struggle more than make her feel helpless to protect the ones she loves most?" Chen asks rhetorically. "You truly are a mad genius, Master." Clouse commends.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

We continue trekking the jungle and find another Samurai X symbol. "Father, I don't understand. You trained under Chen, yet you fought beside Wu in the wars. What happened to the truce?" Lloyd asks Garmadon as he climbs over the fallen tree. "Something tells me... war happened." I voice. "When Chen said, 'Never trust a snake,' he was right. The Serpentine struck first. The Alliance of the Elemental Masters fought back. But they had never seen the likes of an Anacondrai warrior." Garmadon explains. I scoff at the mention of Anacondrai. "Which is why I am glad only one remains. And even he is ENOUGH." I scowl at the mere thought of Pythor. (She does NOT like him. 😤) I lay a hand on the tree then jump over it. "And you have right to think that way, (Y/N). They are bigger, smarter, natural leaders on the battlefield. The Anacondrai were a proud tribe who fought with every ounce of venom. There was no greater warrior in the land. And with them in command, they prove to be too much for the Alliance to handle."

Third Person P.O.V.

In Jamanakai Village, the Anacondrai Warriors attack. The people screaming and running in fear as they try to get away. One is about to harm a young man, but their sword hits a purple shield and are sent back. The man quickly gets up then runs off and passes by the one that saved him. It is revealed to be a woman with long (H/C) hair tied back in braid resting on her back. She wears a fierce expression on her face as she summons a translucent wall to hold them back. (I think we all know who this is.) Once the people got to safety, the Master of Gravity appears. "Charge!" He flies down and punches some Anacondrai. But then he stops and hears hissing, looking back and gasps as a large serpent is about to bite him, but purple fire hit its head. "Come on! We got the people out!" The woman shouts. He nods then flies off as he and the rest of the Elemental Masters retreat.

Once the people were gone, the Serpentine conquers the village. "We've taken the village, General Arcturus." The leader of the Venomari bows before said Anacondrai, he wearing golden armor to show his ranking. "Good. Only one can remain." Arcturus states.

"Wait! My mother? But I thought you'd said she only joined when the balance was at risk of being destroyed?" (Y/N) asks Garmadon. The Sensei climbs over the tree. "She did. But she wasn't going stand aside and watch innocents be perished." He clears.

"Chen stood to gain more if he sided with the Snakes and wanted me to help him." Garmadon sits at a table with Chen as a map of all the areas taken conquered by the Serpentine is laid out on the table. But while Chen smiles sinisterly, Garmadon has a frown. "Though the evil in my veins tempted me, I wouldn't fight a war for him." Garmadon's eyes glow red but he closes his eyes, shaking his head to clear his mind. "I would only fight to see Misako again." Misako flashes in his mind, her hair brown and her skin clear as she smiles. "From then on, Chen and I went our separate ways. So that I could join my brother in battle." Garmadon leaves Chen's monastery, bag in hand as he looks back but continues forward. Chen watching him leave with a frown, but then Clouse walks over to stand beside him.

"We were the sons of the First Spinjitzu Master. And together with the Elemental Alliance, we stood a fighting chance." Garmadon and Wu stood together as they lead the Elemental Alliance and other soldiers as they walk to confront the Anacondrai warriors within the Birchwood Forest. Letting out battle cries, the masters and Anacondrai fight. Hits, punches, kicks and swings are thrown and the Anacondrai start to retreat. The Master of Fire steps forward and shoots a ball to fire at them, only to hit a man wearing a helmet and dark grey clothing. "But Chen's influence changed all that. He found a way to turn the Alliance against each other." The man summons a pillar of earth then sends more at the Alliance, forcing them on their backs as they are hit. The Anacondrai sees this and charge back, Clouse watching this all at a distance with a smile as he holds his book.

"The battle was all but lost. Until..." The same woman from before suddenly appears, running on a purple whispy platform then jumps and punches the ground, sending a massive wave, resembling one of water, at the Anacondrai and sending them back. She stands up and cracks her neck. "Now you got my attention." She states. Clouse scowls then yelps as he feels something hit his head. (M/N)'s eyes narrowing as she feel his presence. "Though, even with (M/N)'s power, things were looking bleak. But in our darkest hour, we found hope." The Elemental Alliance walk with heads lowered at their loss. (M/N) frowns as she feels all their shame but then hears a flute playing. She stops as did Garmadon, who too heard the flute playing, and see a man charming a snake. The two watch as the snake is under a trance as the man plays the instrument. (Y/N) slowly smiles then bounces on her heels as she taps Garmadon's arm, the man smiling too as they both get the same idea. (Look at that. Friends with a bond like siblings. Like another pair of friends we know. ☺️)

"And hope found a way to end the war." In the Birchwood Forest, on top a golden dragon made of elemental power, the elemental master plays a sacred flute. The Anacondrai covering their ears to try and block it out but succumbs to its melody. In the Toxic Bogs, the Master of Water lifts herself up on a tree trunk. She sees the group of people held hostage by Venomari then starts playing a sacred flute. The snakes are put under a trance and the people cheer. "The Serpentine were divided and locked away in tombs." The door to the tomb within the Toxic Bogs opens as the Master of Water plays for them to go in it and once all had entered, the doors shut. With the Master of Fire in the Sea of Sand, he plays a sacred flute as he leads the Anacondrai into their tomb. Pythor being the last one to enter as the doors then shut.

Chen and Clouse are forced onto a boat. (M/N) walks up and gives them a glare, "For your treachery and betrayal to the people of Ninjago, and threatening the balance of all life, you two are henceforth banned. If you dare to ever return to Ninjago, the punishment will be far more SEVERE." She declares, her powers allowing Chen and Clouse to feel her emotions. They two step back from the feeling in fear of her threat. Knowing she is dead serious. (Fierceness runs in the family.) "Just don't let peace be. Do ya?" She says to Chen. The man glares at her but she is unaffected by his attempt to intimidate her.

In a court room, a gavel is hammered as the case begins. Wu, Garmadon, the judge and (M/N) look down at the Anacondrai generals. Arcturus slithers forward, "We ask for mercy." He says, him and the other five generals bowing their heads. "Mercy? Never heard of it." The judge snips in anger at them. (M/N) feels the generals regret and sadness but also acceptance and frowns in sympathy, but says nothing as they did start a war. The judge nods her head and Garmadon opens a spell book. "And the Anacondrai generals were given the strictest of sentence: Banishment to the Cursed Realm, so that they will never set foot in Ninjago again." Garmadon finds the spell then starts chanting it, a portal opens above the Anacondrai generals and they are sucked into it. (M/N) closes her eyes, feeling guilt that it had to end this way. However, she hardens her expression and opens her eyes, knowing what is done is done. (Whoa. What a story. 😯)

(Y/N) and Lloyd sat on the fallen tree as they listened to the story. (Y/N) quiet as she takes in the information of her mother... and how similar they both are. "Even after all this time, you never told Wu about your past with Chen" Lloyd asks his father. "What would I have said? I would have lost your mother, as well as my brother. Not to mention-" "Someone once told me you need to control your fear, and not let fear control you." Lloyd interrupts as he stands up tells his father what he told him. Garmadon hums with a smile. "Hm. You're right. Once we put all of this behind us, I'll make things right." He says, walking up and laying a hand on Lloyd's shoulder.

(Y/N) thinks for a moment then stands up. "But first, we need to find Nya. Come on." Garmadon says. But right before he and Lloyd run off. "Skylor." They stop and turn back to look at (Y/N). "What?" Lloyd asks. "Skylor is the spy." She says. "Then why didn't you say anything before?" Lloyd questions. "Because I was afraid. This whole tournament I have been afraid of losing anymore of my family. I thought I had to do it alone to ensure you all would be safe. But..." She closes her eyes and inhales deeply, "I'm done letting my fear of loss control me. And I'm tired of having to do it alone." Her voice breaking with emotion. (Oh. Poor thing. 🥺) Lloyd frowns as he understands and walks over to her. He pulls her into a hug and (Y/N) lays her head on his shoulder. "We all felt pain when we lost Zane. But we will be whole again." He tells her softly.

Garmadon walks over and lays a hand on (Y/N)'s back. "Your mother always did what she could to protect others, but it was love and care she held for her friends and loved ones that motivated her to keep fighting." He tells her. (Like mother, like daughter. 💜😌) (Y/N) sniffs then pulls away from Lloyd. She wipes away a tear that she shed and opens her eyes. "Let's find Nya." She states. Lloyd and Garmadon nod their heads then the three run off.

Cole's P.O.V.

Okay... This is difficult. I crumble a paper and toss it away. "Okay, so maybe rolling ourselves up into giant egg rolls isn't the best plan. Anyone else gave another idea?" We all have been working on a plan for ours, but no luck. "Karloff used to be aeronautical engineer back in Metalonia. Work on roto-jets. Just one could take out entire army." Karloff says. Roto-jets... Really? "Oh. Great idea. But two things: we don't have a roto-jet, and what good is a jet if we're underground?" I ask sarcastically. But then the conveyor belt I'm on starts moving. "Oof!" And I fall off it and onto my back. "Okay, don't mind me, carry on whatever business you all are doing." Darreth says and lands on the ground. Seriously? "Sure, we were only using that to hatch our escape." I look to see him walk up to the door. "Darreth, what are you doing?" I ask him.

"Well, if there isn't a machine that makes Puffy Potstickers, by golly I'm gonna make one." Does he even know how to build one? "That's it! Darreth, you solved it." Wait, what? I look at Zane, "How are Puffy Potstickers gonna help us?" I ask him. "We'll use machine parts to build a roto-jet. Karloff, do you still remember the schematics of it?" He says. "Of course." Karloff answers. Wait? "Then it's set. Karloff and I will create a blueprint. Everyone else, find parts." Zane says and everyone else walks off. Aren't they forgetting something? I get up, "But we're underground." I repeat. No one listens. I sigh. Okay, we're building a roto-jet. (Yeah! Let's get crazy! 🤪)

Kai's P.O.V.

Skylor and I have been walking for a while, but haven't found Nya. I hope she's okay. I jump and look to see an explosion. I gasp, "That could be Nya, come on." I jump onto the stuff poking out of the water to get to the other side. "Let me, I have a faster way." I look back a Skylor as she said that. She raises her hand and... freezes the water. Ice? But Zane is a prisoner, he never competed in the tournament How did could she... Unless... (Unless...?) "What are you waiting for? Your friends could be in trouble." She skates across the ice. "How did you just do that?" I question her. "I can absorb elemental power." She replies. But that doesn't answer my question. "But the ice..." I step onto the ice and slide over to her. "Zane's never been in the tournament." But if she has his power... "You're the spy. You've seen Zane. You're working for Chen." I state, anger and... hurt coursing through me. (And so the truth is revealed.)

"I had to obey my father or else-" "Chen's your father?!?" WHAT?!? "Ah-Ugh!" And I had to slip onto my back. Wait, I didn't slip. "Yes!" Chen! I gasp and back away from them. "And now your time in the tournament is over, Master or Fire. Take him, Skylor." He says. "Okay, Dad." I jump and avoid her. She aims a kick at my face but I dodge and grab her leg. I let her go and she lands on her. I pin her down and hold my other hand up, "The reason you didn't have a tattoo was because you side the power of form." I spat at her. "And now I'll use the power of smoke." She disappears before I could land a punch. I grunt as I'm kicked from behind and try to keep my balance but fall on my back. I hear Chen laugh and I light my fist on fire. "Do it, and we'll both go in." Skylor grabs my wrist. I don't care. I light my other fist. "No!" "Ninja-Go!" I do Spinjitzu and send her back. The ice cracks. "What are you doing?!" I hear Chen cry out and Skylor goes help him. I stop then run off but my leg gets caught then vines wrap around me. I look back at them with a glare. Shoot.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Night has fallen and I gasp as I feel someone close. I turn around and hold my hands up to stop Nya. She screams and jumps back. "Nya, it's okay. It's us." I tell her. "Nya!" I hear Lloyd say. "They took Jay! They took everyone." She says. "Slow down, Nya." Garmadon says. "Breathe." I tell her. She pants a little bit then calms down. "You two are the only ones left, Lloyd and (Y/N). You two are the only ones who can stop it." She says. She holds out a rolled up paper and I take it from her. "Stop what?" Lloyd ask. I unroll the paper and read what it says. And it's not good. "A transformation spell. It can't be." I hear Garmadon say. "Transformation? Transform into what?" Lloyd asks.

And it hits me. Chen stealing all the elemental powers, his obsession with the Anacondrai and what Garmadon told us of the Serpentine Wars. "Into an army of Anacondrai." I answer. "The tournament may be over, but the next Serpentine War may have just begun." I feel my powers flare up and close my eyes. I see Kai, Jay, Neuro, Shade, Paleman, and Griffin captured. Chen slamming the door on them and Skylor standing beside him. Along with Kai's hurt, and I know who is responsible for it. I open my eyes. "We'll stop him." I roll up the paper. "And we'll save EVERYONE." I state. (And that's a promise. 😠)
