Snakebit
(Sorry for the long wait, was busy having fun on Christmas and other stuff. Anyway, another long chapter, enjoy.)
I finish braiding my hair and take a deep breathe. I stretch as I look around in our new home, not too bad. I got my own room so I can have my space. It was originally going to be me and Nya sharing a room but I was uncomfortable with sharing my space and Wu understood and gave me my own. I was ready for the day, then I hear a knock, "Come in!" I reply. The door opens to reveal Wu, "Ah, I see you are up. Did you have a good rest, (Y/N)?" He asks. I nod my head, "Decent." I answer, stretching my arms. He gives me a nod back. "Good, good. The boys have yet to wake, want to help me wake them?" He says. Help wake up the boys, huh? "Okay." I accept.
Wu went to his room, got his gong, and we made our way to the boys' room. I open the door quietly but it still made some noise. Thankfully, the boys didn't wake. Good. I look at Wu and he gives me the gong. I smirk and breathe deeply..... Before banging the gong like a madman. "WAKE UP, SLEEPYHEADS!" I shout. The guys groan tiredly but I kept banging. "Evil doesn't sleep and neither should you! In order to reach your full potential, we must greet each day as an opportunity!" Wu says over the noise. "Okay. Okay! We're up." Kai says, hopping down from his bunk. I stop banging the gong and let out a satisfying sigh. I have always wanted to do that.
"But if you want us to reach our full potential shouldn't we get a full night of rest?" Kai says, yawning as he passes me and Wu to open the blinds, but they fall off the windowsill. "You call that rest? I think my back has more lumps than the mattress." Cole says. I look over at him to find him stretching and heard some cracks from his back. I wince in sympathy. Sheesh, that sounds painful. I give the gong back to Wu and give him a thankful smile. "We were up so late talking about how cool it is to have a new headquarters, I guess we lost track of time since the Serpentine burned down the Monastery. I'm just glad we have a roof over our heads-" Jay stopped talking as spits out sand. He really doesn't pay attention when he rambles.
"What is our lesson today, Sensei?" Zane asks as he starts doing some stances. "Mastering the Strike of the Scorpion or perhaps the Grace of-Whoa-agh!" He stops abruptly as the floor gave out from under him, coughing from the dust. Wow, this place needs a lot of renovating. "I think today's lesson will be chores." Wu states. "Chores?!" The guys say in disbelief. "Ninja fight, Sensei. They do not clean." Cole says. I roll my eyes. Really? Trying to get out of doing work? I don't think so. "Well, if you want to still have restless sleep every night, brushing your teeth with sand, and fall through the floor every five minutes, then don't clean." I tell them, sarcastically.
"(Y/N) is correct. In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from. And this place is a long way from becoming a ninja headquarters. I expect things to be spotless when I return. And put your backs into it." And with that, Wu bangs the gong and leaves the room. Cole helps Zane up and I walk to stand with them. "Aww, this place is gonna take forever to clean and fix up." Kai complains. "With that attitude, Yes." I sass. "Unless we put more than our backs into it." Jay hints, a smirk on his face. I grab my hands and stretch out my arms. "Welp, let's get to it then." I declare.
The guys equipped their Gis and we all got to work. Cole and I enter a room filled with old items that we didn't really need. "Ninja-Go!" We exclaim and perform Spinjitzu, collecting them up and going outside. We stopped, the objects now piled up and with a sign that read 'Garage Sale'. Cole raises his hand for a high-five and I give him one. Zane and Kai cleaned the rooms, using their weapons' powers to do so. We were trying to get a system up and thanks to Jay providing some electricity, it hums to life. Cole, Kai, and Zane pull on the rope to open the sails, "Ninja-Go!" Jay exclaims as he and I perform Spinjitzu to blow away the dust on the sails.
We finish up pretty quickly and take a break. We gather in a room that had the video games set up in and I lean back on the couch and close my eyes. I hear the door creak open and I open my eyes to find Wu and Nya enter the room. "What took you so long?" I hear Kai jokingly ask. "Wow! This place looks amazing. You guys did all this?" Nya says. "Ninja just don't fight, Nya, we clean." I roll my eyes half-heartedly. Well, Cole isn't wrong. "Oh~ You have exceeded my expectations. But can you keep it up?" Wu says.
My powers flare up as I feel two presences approaching fast. They didn't feel hostile, in fact, they fell very friendly. "It looks like we're about to have some visitors." Nya says, as I look to see her looking out the window. I get off the couch and stand next to her to find a large car making its way to us. A car horn was heard, "And based off hearing, I'd say loud ones at that." I add. "Aw, that's my parents. Please, if they start yapping just don't get them going, okay? They don't know when to quit. And if you start talking then they'll start talking and suddenly half the day is gone before you-" "We get it! They talk a lot! The cherry doesn't fall far from its blossom." Kai interrupts Jay. So that's where he gets it from.
We all head out to greet Jay's parents. This is nerve wracking. I'm about to meet the parents of one my friends. Is it normal to be sweaty? I feel like I'm sweating. "Mom, Dad, what are you doing here?" Jay greets his parents as he walks to them. "Oh, look it's my baby boy! It's been so long since we heard from you." The woman says happily. She wore glasses and had her hair up in a bun and the man had white hair with a small beard on his chin. I walk with the others as we go to meet them, but I try to stay hidden to not draw attention to myself. Old habit.
"Ma, I called you two days ago." Jay says. "Well, it's not soon enough, son. When are you coming out to the old Junk Yard?" The man asks. "You say you're coming and ya don't." He adds. "Dad, do we have to talk about the Junk Yard in front of my friends?" Jay says, embarrassed. "He hates it when we tell people he was born in a junkyard." The woman says.
A junkyard, huh? That would explain Jay's interest in inventing. But why would he be embarrassed? A junkyard has a lot of stuff that can be repurposed and he has two parents who love him a lot. "We'd love a tour!" I snap out of my thoughts as the couple shout in excitement. I hear Jay groan and I turn my head to look at him. He doesn't seem all too pleased. "And who are you?" I jump a little and look to find the woman in front of me. "Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to frighten you." She apologizes. "It-it's fine." I say to her.
"So, what's your name? You are so beautiful." She says. I couldn't speak for a moment. Me? Beautiful? I shake my head to retain focus. "(Y/N), ma'am." I answer. "Oh, no need for formalities, call me Edna." She says. "And I'm Ed. Nice to meet you." Ed greets. These people are so nice. Are all parents like this? No, no, all parents are different like how all people are different. "A-hem! Mom, Dad, how about that tour?" Jay says loudly. "Of course, Sweetie." Edna says to Jay. "He can be very impatient sometimes." She whispers to me. Jay lead his parents onto the Bounty and I stand in place for a couples of moments. "You okay, (Y/N)?" I feel a hand on my shoulder and look to see Cole giving me a soft look. "Yeah, I'm good." I tell him and walk back onto the Bounty.
The tour was going well. We showed Ed and Edna the rooms and pretty much everything else and made our way to the bridge. It's the main room for steering the ship and keeping watch of Ninjago. It's been coming along good. "And this is the bridge. This extends into a periscope, this tells us what's going on in Ninjago." Jay tells his parents, playing around with said object. He then jumps over to a small machine. "And this, if a Serpentine's not giving us the answers we want and we're up late at night-" "A neuro-apparatus to read their minds?" "An audio appliance to make them talk?" Wow, Jay's parents are smart. "No. A cappuccino machine." Jay clarifies, demonstrating it by filling a cup with coffee. Ehhh, I never really liked that stuff. Tried it once, did not enjoy the flavor.
"Ha Ha, Amazing, son! We're so proud of you." Ed says proudly. Parental love. I never got to experience that myself. "Why don't you tell them about the button." Cole says, moving and standing next to a panel with a big red button it. "Ha, ha. It's not ready yet." Jay answers, sounding a little grouchy. "Ooohh, what's the button?" Edna asks. "He's working on a special defense system." Zane answers. "Something every Ninja headquarters needs." Kai adds. "Oh, really? What does it do? Can I help?" Ed asks excitedly, walking towards the button. "No. It's okay, I don't need your help, Dad. Let's just leave it alone." Jay denies. "But it wouldn't hurt. He has done some tinkering, right?" I speak up.
"Oh, yes he does. You know Jay picked up inventing when he was little and one time he invented some wings so he could fly." Edna says. "He ended up crashing multiple times, but it's better to test and fail than not test at all." Ed adds. "And how about you? Other than being a ninja, what else do you do?" He asks. I grew a little shy at that. Do they want to know? I guess since they ask it wouldn't hurt to answer. "I like to draw in my spare time. And paint too. It gives me something to do and eases my mind." I answer. "Oh, you'll have to show us some. I bet you're a wonderful artist." Ed says, giving me a small smile. "I bet their as beautiful as you." Edna compliments, giving me a smile too.
I feel my cheeks heat up a little. Man, all this kindness is so new to me. Is this what it feels like to be praised by parental figures or is it just the feeling of being accepted by parental figures? "Hey! Look at the time! Mom, Dad, don't you need to get back before it gets dark?" Jay announces loudly. "I told you there's dangerous Serpentine out there." He says, gently pushing his parents to leave. "I suppose we could get back." Ed says, sadly. "Edna, it was a pleasure hearing about Jay's first potty time." Cole thanks Edna, as he stands next to Jay and wraps an arm around him. I snicker a little. That was funny. "Oh~ If you thought that was good, wait until I tell you the story about the time I caught him kissing his pillow." Edna says. Jay groans in embarrassment and I was so close to bursting out loud. "Snakes, Ma. Snakes!" Jay urges. "Okay, we're going, we're going." Edna says and she and Ed start walking.
We all stand by as the couple get their car going. "So you promise to come to the Junk Yard and visit your mother and father?" Edna asks Jay. "Yes, I promise, but only if you leave. I don't want you to get hurt. It's getting dark. Eh, You're headlights are working, right?" After Jay says that, the headlights turn on and we all cover our eyes because of the brightness they gave off. "Eh-he, like 'em? I used a little extra juice. Yep. Bye, son! Couldn't be more proud!" Ed says, as I remove my arms and see him and Edna drive off. "A-And bring Nya with you, will ya. I can see why you like her! And bring (Y/N) too, she's a sweet girl!" I flush a little as Edna says that last bit. I wave bye to them as they drive farther away.
"Mom!" Jay groans out. "Now that they have left, perhaps Jay can teach us the art of... kissing pillows." Wu says and starts snickering. I lost it and start laughing loudly as the rest of the gang start laughing too. I hear Jay let out a tired yell but I was having too much fun. After a while we all had dinner and got ready for bed. I was in the middle of painting a portrait of Jay with his parents when I heard a knock at the door. "Come in!" I reply. I put down my brush and see the door open to find Nya enter my room. "Hey, you good?" She asks. I raise a brow in confusion. "Yeah, why?" I ask. "It's just that you were really shy around Jay's parents. I know you're an orphan but when did you leave and set off on your own?" She asks.
Wait a minute. Nya wasn't there when I told the guys I never had a family growing up. Kai must have informed her that I was an orphan and nothing more. I get up and rub my arms, "Uh, nine." I admit. "Nine? Wow." She says. It was a little awkward but then I hear footsteps and look to see Nya stand next to me and place her hand on my shoulder to comfort me. "You aren't use to that kind of affection and that's okay. You deserve some praise." She says, smiling at me. I smile back and see her gaze drift to me desk. "Oh, wow! You're paintings are good. Is that Jay and his parents?" She says and I look back down at my desk. It was Jay in-between his parents and they all have smiles on their faces. "Yep. I'm thinking of giving it to Ed and Edna. Since they were so nice." I shyly admit.
Nya smiles and pats my shoulder, "Well, I think they will love it." She tells me then makes her way to the door, "Night." She says then heads off down the hall." "Night." I call back. I let out a breath and get ready for bed. Once I was ready, I get under the covers and lay down on my back. I close my eyes and control my breathing to relax. I then see the energies of my friends and Wu, but then I saw further away. I see..... Lloyd? He's in some kind of graveyard. What's he doing there? But then I see him stop and look around, like he's searching for someone. He then looks directly at me. I jolt awake.
Did he sense me? How? Should I tell the others? But then I feel sleep creep into me and next thing I know.... No! Need to.... Zzzzzz.
Lloyd's P.O.V.
What was that? I look around, using my flashlight to see anything but I didn't. It's weird. Why have I been feeling like someone's watching me? Probably some creep. But then, why did I feel so.... safe? "Ugh!" I shake my head. "Focus, Lloyd. Remember: Find the Fangpyre and make the Hypnobrai pay. Then take over Ninjago." I walk deeper into the graveyard.
I look around the place, feeling a little scared. I scoff, "It's not scary." I look around again, "Well, maybe just a little scary." I walk on, trying to find the tomb. "I like scary. Yeah, that's it. I'm the son the Dark Lord. I love the dark." I say out loud. This is what my destiny is. "I-I eat this stuff for breakfast." I turn and, "AAAAHHHHHHH!" Oh, it's just a weird tree that looks like it has two heads. I regain my senses and look back at the map, "I'm gonna make those Hypnobrai pay for betraying me. I have to find the Fangpyres. If there's anything a snake doesn't like, it's another snake."
I stop in front of the tree and find it matches the map. "Here, by the mutated tree. I've found it!" I put down the map and my flashlight and bend down to wave away the fog to see a carved stone of a two-headed serpentine. I smile, "Soon the Serpentine will know who their master is and it will be I, Lloyd Garmadon!" I announce. But then lightning struck and loud thunder followed. "AAAAHHH!" I cover my head. Well, uh, that was... convenient.
Focus. I bend down and push the button on the carving. It drops downwards and snakes start jumping out. I scream then I hear hissing and look behind me to see a snake with two heads wielding a staff. "And who-" "May I say releasssed uss-" "From our captivity?" They ask. I feel a little scared and back up a bit from them. "Uh-Uh, Lloyd? I released you to make the Hypnobrai pay for betraying me." I answer, grabbing the map and holding it in front of me. "The Hypnobrai?" "Thossse hypnotizing deceivers?!" "It will be-" "Our pleasure!" They agree.
Now that is what I want to hear. "O-oh, good. I'll lead the way. Then after that there's some ninja I want dealt with." I tell them. ""Ssoundss like-" "-you know-" "what you want." "But the Hypnobrai are strong-" "And we are few in numberss." "We need-" "Reinforcementss." The say. "What did you have in mind?" I ask them. They hiss as they show their fangs.
I feel someone watching me again but I shake it off. Why do I keep having that feeling? Doesn't matter. I smile evilly. Now to find some reinforcements.
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I jolt and gasp as I wake up from my dream. But was it a dream? I'm too tired to ponder and fall back asleep. Where are you Lloyd?
I grumble and rub my eyes awake. I open my eyes and look to find that the sun is up. It's morning. I let out a long yawn. "Okay. Time to start the day." I get out of bed and get ready. I brushed my teeth, braid my hair, and put on my Gi. I exit my room and see Nya walk down the hall. "Good morning, (Y/N). Want to walk together to see what the boys are doing?" She greets. I give her a friendly smile, "Sure." We start heading to the bridge, engaging in a little small talk. "So, what did you think of Jay's parents yesterday?" I was caught off guard by that. I think about it and remember how kind and thoughtful they were. "They were nice. I don't understand why Jay doesn't want to visit them." I answer honestly.
"Well, sometimes parents reveal stuff about their kids that would embarrass them. But they never mean any harm. Families can be a little hectic." Nay says. "Like you and Kai?" I ask. She gives me a smirk, "Yep. He's quite the handful and I'm the younger sibling." She answers. I giggle a little at her answer and we continue on, making it outside and feel the sun.
I feel my powers flare up and see that all the boys are in the bridge already. Jay was working on the button while Kai and Zane passed by him carrying something and Cole was moving very animatedly. "Hey." I jump a little from the hand that touched my shoulder. "Oops. Sorry. Forgot your not use to touch yet, but are you good?" I look to Nya as she asks. I breathe in a little and nod. "Yeah, I'm good. The boys are in the bridge already." I answer with a small smile. "Oh, perfect." She replies and opens the door, stepping in first and I follow after her.
"Hehe-he, hi Nya~" Jay greets Nya. I raise a brow but say nothing and stand beside Nya. "You gonna visit your parents today?" She asks. "Hm-na. S-Sure am! Ha ha. Just about to leave." Jay stutters out. "Tell 'em I say 'Hi'." Nya says then leaves. I look to see the other boys give Jay a look. "What? So my plate's not that full." Jay defends. "Jay, they're your parents. Be glad to have them." I tell him, bitterly and walked out of the room. I breathe deeply to calm down. Jay should be glad to have his parents, even if they do embarrass him. I never got that.
I make my way to the dragons and greet them all. I see Wu, but find has a huge thermometer. I stop just a bit from him to avoid the giant thing. "Hey, Master. What's with the dragon-sized thermometer?" I ask him. "I was checking the dragons and I have found out that they are molting." He answers. "Molting?" I repeat. "Like shedding their scales?" I guess. "Yes, but it is a little more. The dragons, like many beings, reach a point in their life where their bodies undergo changes. The dragons will undergo a transformation so that they can become adults. They must migrate east to the Spirit Coves so that they can transform." He explains.
Oh. The dragons are leaving. But they have to so that they can grow and mature. Okay. "Do not be sad, (Y/N)." I perk up as Wu speaks. "The dragons will return. When, I do not know, but they will in time." He says, assuringly. I look to the ground and wipe my eyes to make sure no tears spill. "Yeah. I best say farewell. For now." I say. Wu nods his head and I go to say my farewells to the dragons. Shard gave me a gentle nuzzle, Flame gave me a little more aggressive one, and Rocky gave me a long, slobbery lick. I cringed a little in disgust but smiled and gave the big guy a pat.
I make my way to Whisp, only to hear some grunting and look to find Jay trying to get him to move. "Argh, come on, Whisp. It will be a quick visit. Just in and out, nothing more." Jay urges. I make my way to him and grab the reins from him. "Sorry, Jay, but the only place Whisp and the others are going is the Spirit Coves." I tell him and move closer to Whisp, who lowers his head down and allows me to pet his nose. "What does that mean?" I hear Jay ask. I let out a sigh, "The dragons are molting. They're going to transform into adults but in order to do so, they need to leave and head east." I explain. "Will we see them again?" Jay asks as he walks next to me and pets Whisp too. "Master Wu said he doesn't know. But assures that they will come back. In time." I tell him. "Rocky's going east?" Cole asks, in disbelief. "I'm afraid so. Best say your goodbyes for now." I tell him. I felt empathy for Cole, knowing how much he loves his dragon. He and the others go say farewell to their dragons.
Jay then walks off and I follow after him. "Well, I guess I have to go on this looong walk all by myself. Sure be nice to have company~" He says, scratching the back of his head as he asks Nya. I roll my eyes. Dude's not as smooth as he thinks. "Of course we'll go, buddy!" Cole says as he stands next to me. "I could use a break." Kai adds. "All you had to do was asked." Zane kindly tells him. I hear Jay let out a tired sigh. Oh well. Wait! "Hold on! I'll be right back!" I ran off and got back on the Bounty, entering my room and find the painting I did of Jay and his parents. I carefully folded it up and hid it in my Gi for safety. I grab my fans and hurry out to meet with the others. "Okay. Ready." I state, smiling. The others give me a strange look but don't say anything.
After getting the guys' weapons and other essentials, we make our way on foot to Ed and Edna's Junk Yard. Wu plays his flute as I look up at the sky to see the dragons flying away. I walk at the back of the group and look to see Cole looking at the dragons with a sad face. I think of something to try and cheer him up then I lift my hand and place it on his shoulder to comfort him. He looks at me, "They'll be back. I bet Rocky misses you right now." I tell him. I hope that was okay. Cole gives me small smile. "Thanks, (Y/N)." He lays his hand on mine and I smile, retracting my hand and look ahead. "Of all the days to lose our ride." Jay complains.
"That flute. You never told us why it is so special." Zane says to Master, as the long-bearded man stops playing. "Long ago there were many flutes, created to combat the powers of the Serpentine and drive them underground. But over time Ninjago has forgotten its ancestors' wisdom and now this is the only one." Wu explains then plays the flute to Jay, who walks on. "I get the lesson; respect your elders or else suffer the consequences. Boy, you guys are laying it on thick!" Jay complains. Wu chuckles softly, "Perhaps you are only hearing what you need to hear." He says.
I look to find we made it to Jay's parents' home, but something isn't right. I walk and stand next to Jay, "What is it?" I hear Nya speak. "It's quiet. My family's never quiet." Jay says seriously and puts on his hood, rushing into the Junk Yard. I put on my hood and follow him quickly. We enter the place and look around, until I hear some muffled noises. I look to see Jay already rushing towards a large refrigerator and opens it to reveal Ed and Edna, tied up with duct tape on their mouths. "What happened?! Who did this?" Jay asks, concerned, and takes off the tape on their mouths. "Oh, Sssweathart, you came." Edna says. "Oh, You got to get outta here! You shouldn't have come, it's the ssssssnakes!" Ed says. I look to find that they both have fangs. My eyes widen. "The bite of the Fangpyre!" Oh no. "Once they sink their teeth, their venom can turn anything into a serpent. It's only a matter of time until the full transformation is complete!" Master exclaims.
Loud hissing was heard and I pull out my fans, battle ready, and turn to see some Fangpyres along with a wrecking ball with a creepy face. "Uh, is that wrecking ball starring at me?" I hear Cole. It swings at us, "Duck!" Jay shouts and we all jump out of the way before we could have been hit. I get up and feel a familiar presence, "Lloyd!" I look up and see the hooded child on top a pile of tires with a two-headed snake wielding a staff. He's okay. Phew. But he released more snakes, so not so good. "Hello, Uncle. Looks like we're not the only family reunion. I'm glad you brought the Ninja, I could use some help taking out the trash!" He then laughs evilly.
"If we want to turn your parents back we need the anti-venom from the staff!" Nya states. I look to find the freaky-face ball swing at us again. "Second dose! To the dirt!" I hear Cole exclaim and we all jump, avoiding it. I cough a little from the dirt and look up to see some snakes coming towards us. "Easier said than done, sis. We're a bit out numbered." I hear Kai tell Nya. "Nobody messes with my family." I look to Jay run straight towards the snakes and jumps up, slamming his nunchucks on the ground and pushing the snakes back. "Ninja-Go!" He uses Spinjitzu and moves forward. Let's go.
Me and the other guys run and see the wrecking ball miss Jay, just barely too, and gets stuck. "Ninja-Go!" We all exclaim and perform Spinjitzu, knocking away a lot of snakes. I stop and look to see some snakes surrounding me, so I close my eyes and focus. I feel everything slow down as I concentrate on my powers. I open my eyes and toss my fans. I control them as they hit every snake that tried to take a bite out of me. I back flip, summon my fans to me, and land on my feet. I look at my work. All snakes down. "Hah! You guys only have a bite and still can't take a piece out of me." I quip.
I hear some music and look to see Master playing the flute and the snakes closing in on him stop and cover their ears. Huh, guess their not music lovers. Nya jumps in and takes out all of them. I smile at the two working together. They're good. I kick a snake away with a little extra boost from my powers and all while not looking away from my friends. Then some loud rock music played and I look to see Lloyd. "Young nephew, must I teach you whose side you should be on!" Master scolds him. Lloyd only turns up the music. "Sorry, Uncle! Can't hear you!" He shouts. I hear some hissing and look back in time to see a Fangpyre get whacked on the head by a frying pan wielded by Edna. "Heh, way to go, Edna!" Ed cheers for his wife. I smile but get serious and look at Lloyd again.
I carefully sneak my way to him. Maybe I can help convince him. I was climbing up the pile of tires he and the Fangpyre leader are on, but then I hear a rumble and look to see a giant.... what is that? A giant metal ninja? "Gah! What is that thing?!" I hear Jay. "I-It was suppose to be in your honor, son, but do you like it?" Ed says. I look to see that thing was ready to attack. Glad I'm not with the boys right now. "Thanks, but no thanks!" Jay replies, he and the guys running away from the the hunk of metal.
I focus back on Lloyd and continue on. I make it right behind him and raise my hand and lightly tap his leg. He jumps and looks down at me. I shush him and look to see if the two-headed snake has seen me. Thankfully, no. I look back at Lloyd, "Listen, this is not the way. There are things that are even better. Believe me, I know what it's like to be alone and you don't have to be." I whisper to him and offer my hand to him. He looks at me with a surprise look and looks at my hand, but then there was a loud crash and we look to see the giant ninja mech down and the wrecking ball stuck. Lloyd took a few steps forward, "RETREEEEEAT!" He yells.
I hear something and some wind blow as I look to see a Serpentine helicopter fly in. Their was a pad and Lloyd and the Fangpyre leader got on. Lloyd looks at me and I saw his expression become sad but then looks away as he and the two-headed snake fly away. I let out a sad sigh. Maybe next time. I make my way to the others and watch as the rest of the snakes and their new vehicles, and other stuff, retreat. "He's getting away with the staff!" Nya exclaims. Oh yeah, the staff. Forgot about that. Whoops.
I hear Jay sigh tiredly. "Right now would be a good time to have those dragons." He comments. I see Ed and Edna walk to Jay, their transformation has gotten worse. "I-It'sssssss okay, sssssson." Ed assures Jay. "There is still a way." Master Wu speaks. "How?" Jay asks. "Part of reaching your own full potential is understanding your weapon's potential. Once it is in-tuned with a focus heart, its secret and powers can be unlocked." Master explains. "Doh! Tiz-Ah! This is not the time to be cryptic!" Jay says, exasperatedly. "He's saying our weapons are vehicles themselves." Zane clarifies. "Don't tell me I have to ride this like a broomstick." Kai states, annoyed. I raise my brow at that. "No, fire wit, you need to focus clearly on what you want your weapon to do." I tell him. "Jay, feel the power of your weapon, let your heart be your guide and let it help you take flight." I encourage Jay.
Jay focuses and does some tricks with his nunchucks, lightning surrounds him and a jet is formed. "Who-oa! Ha, ha! Did I just do that?" Jay exclaims, astounded. I smirk and look to the others. "Now it's your turn." I tell them. Kai then used his sword and summoned a cool motorcycle. Okay, little jealous. Zane uses his shurikens to create ice that then became a motorcycle also, but a little smaller than Kai's. And finally, Cole spins his scythe and summons a large car or dune-buggy, but it's big and cool-looking so does it matter what it's called? "Hah! I hate to hurt Rocky's feelings, but I think he's just been replaced." I hear Cole say. Jay took to the skies and the others drove off to catch up with the Fangpyre.
"Does your flute turn into anything?" I look over to see Nya asks Master. The old man raises it and looks at it, "I wish." He replies. I roll my eyes and they land on Ed and Edna's car. "Ed, how fast can that thing go?" I ask Ed. "Fast enough to catch up with the boysss." He cheerfully states. "Good. Nya, wanna take the wheel?" I ask the red-cladded woman. She gives me a smirk in response.
Nya drove as we cross the desert to catch up with the guys. I look and see Jay's jet disappear. Uh oh, that's not good. He starts falling and I could hear him screaming. I hear Edna gasp, obviously worried for her son. I see the guys up ahead and see their vehicles disappear also. I worry for Jay's safety but then I look down and see purple energy emit from my body. An idea forms in my head, "Nya, get below me." I state. "What?" "Trust me!" I jump and with my powers I was able to make it to Jay, catching him and holding him in my arms. He also got the staff. "Huh, (Y/N)?!?" Jay looks at me incredulously. "Don't worry, I'll make our descent slower." I tell him and start lowering us down but not too slow as I see Nya stop below us. "Okay, get ready for the drop." I tell Jay. "The wha-AHHHH-Oof!" He stops mid-scream as I land us in the passenger seat next to Nya. "Now punch it!" I command and she floors it. "Oh, uh, hehe. Uh, nice catch." Jay says sheepishly to the both of us. "No worries." I assure him. "Oooh. I knew I liked thesse girlsss." I hear Edna.
My powers flare up and I feel a lot of hostile presences chase us. "Guys, company coming in on our six!" I exclaim. Nya drives to the others and stops behind them as they try to summon their vehicles but cannot. "Hah, why isn't this working?!?" Kai says worriedly. "Your weapon is merely an extension of your mind. If your mind is immobile, so is your weapon." Master tells them. "Oh boy. Oh gosh. Oh golly, oh darn. Get in, boys!" Ed exclaims and the boys hop on. "We have to get to headquarters." Jay states, still in my lap because there is no more room, and Nya hits the gas.
We make it to the Bounty and we hurry on board. Nya takes the staff and leads Ed and Edna to get cured. The guys, Master, and I burst into the bridge. "Man the stations, everyone!" Jay commands. "Jay, we better hurry!" Kai says from the window. "I've been waiting for this moment." Jay says then presses the button, but nothing happens. Great. "They're gaining on us!" Kai exclaims.
"Bottomssss up." I hear Ed and look to see him and Edna take the anti-venom and return to normal. I let out a relieved sigh. "Augh! I don't get what's wrong! I spent forever on this, it's suppose to work!" I look at Jay as he bangs on the panel. Ed walks next to him. "Uh, son, maybe I can help." He says. "Dad! Y-You're okay!" Jay says happily. "Ha, ya darn tootin'! Oh, let's have a look." Ed says and works on the panel. I smile at the scene. "Uh huh. That should do it! Now try it." He tells Jay, who presses the button again.
This time the whole ship moves and I try to maintain my balance as we take off. The ship pulls back then we take off. I use my powers and see that we are getting away from the snakes, but I frown as I see Lloyd getting farther away. Next time. Next time I will help you Lloyd.
Lloyd's P.O.V.
Stupid Ninja, they got away again. The helicopter lowers to the ground as the general obtains their staff since it fell off the ship. "Thessse Ninja," "They musst be sssstopped!" The general says. "Uhh, tell me about it." I say out loud. But that purple ninja, what was her name again? (Y/N). She wasn't so bad and she offered me her hand. She's not a jerk like the others, so maybe I'll spare her and we could be.... friends?
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I hold onto the railings as I look at the sunset and the clouds in the sky. This is so scenic. I look to see Jay and his parents share a hug and I smile at the sight. But then I feel sad. I never had that feeling before. I look to see Wu also smiling at them and I smile again, albeit a little somberly. I bet he wishes to help Lloyd and his brother. I then remember something and take out the painting I did of Jay and his parents from my Gi. I look at them and I got nervous. Should I? But then I get an idea.
I carefully folded the paper to take the shape of a swan and I use my powers and have it fly to the family. Jay notices and grabs it, which he then unfolds. He and his parents look at it and smile happily. They look to me and wave in thanks. I blush a bit but smile and wave back. They go back to admiring the painting and I look at Wu again. I may not have had a family growing up, but I think I have found one now.
