Darkness Shall Rise
(Boom! Did not expect an update this soon, did ya? Well, I had time and I wanted to get a start on Season Two. I hope you enjoy this chapter and I will try to get the next one up as soon as I can. Enjoy!)
Well, here I am. Walking around Ninjago City. Just taking a break from all the stuff that has happened. Especially the whole thing with the Great Devourer. It has been a short while since our battle with the beast and I look to see people cleaning up and repairing the damages from the aftermath. But even though the Devourer is no more, doesn't mean we are done by a long shot. The Serpentine Tribes are still out there and so is Garmadon. With the Golden Weapons in his hands. I slap my forehead as I stop walking. "Aw man." I mutter. I remove my hand and open my eyes as I see a bench right next to me. Huh. Convenient.
I sit down and lean back as I rest my hands on my lap. I sigh deeply. Also, with the Bounty gone we are without a home. Again. I lean my head back as close my eyes to relax. But then I open them as I hear a bell. I hold my head up as look to see the same mailman that I saw at Ed And Edna's Junk Yard stopping in front of me. "Hey there." He greets. I raise a brow but wave back. "So, uh, I have something for you." He says, getting off his bike and going through his bag. He then turns to look at me and gives an envelope. I look at it with surprise. I have never had mail before. "Ahem. Uh, not to be rude, but are you going to take it?" I blink out of my stare and take the envelope, noting that it was a little heavy and I shake to to feel something in it. "Well, see ya around." I look up as the mailman leaves on his bike.
I look at the envelope and look to see that it has my name on it. I look at it for a while but then my powers flare up and I close my eyes as I see the guys. I open my eyes as I tuck the letter safely in my Gi and I hop off the bench as I make my way to the guys. I walk for a bit then I hear a screech and look back to see the Falcon fly overhead. I smile then look to where he goes and sees the guys straighten a pole with an m on the top. The Falcon rests on top of it as I finally meet up with the guys. "Ah, finally. All fixed up and Serpentine free." Cole says, he and Jay holding the sign up. I then see Kai try but fail to summon enough fire to weld the pole to its post. It wasn't even hot.
Another thing is after Garmadon ran off with the Golden Weapons, the guys have been having difficulty with their powers. I think it is mostly because they were connected to them and made it easier to summon their powers, but without them they have been struggling to use them in their own. Kai groans at the lack of flames. "This is frustrating. Our weapons are gone, and most of our elemental powers are gone. I mean, we can still do Spinjitzu, but..." He complains then tries to summon fire again. I roll my eyes as I then help straighten the pole and hold onto it. "Not gone. Weakened." I correct as I move and let go of the pole as Zane uses a welding torch to attach the pole to the post.
"I just feel so, I don't know, limited. And thanks to the Devourer, our tank's out of commission, our Dragon's hurt, and now that the Bounty is destroyed, we don't even have a place to sleep." Okay, way to summarize our situation, Kai. I roll my eyes, "Look, I get that it's frustrating to not summon your powers like that," I literally snap to emphasize, "But we'll figure it out. If there is one thing I learn while I was on my own: it's to make the most of your situation and always find a way." I tell him. "(Y/N) is correct. No one ever said being a hero is easy. Though our good deeds may never make us rich, they make us rich in other ways. And we will figure something out." Zane says the last thing looking at me. I smile at him in thanks.
"Yeah, well, I don't feel rich." Kai groans. Sheesh, sour much? "Unh. I for one enjoy pitching in. I've always wanted to feel a part of a community." Jay says, throwing away a broken TV in a nearby trashcan. "Ah, speaking of which, anyone seen Nya? She said she was gonna help." He says. And right after he said that, I feel Nya's presence approach us along with Wu's. "And I have." I look to see her on a motorcycle with Master Wu in the sidecar. "I may have found us a place to live." She stops in front of us. "Really? But there's a waiting list a mile long to live in Ninjago City. How did you do that?" Jay asks. "I know a guy, who knows a girl, and she knows this girl who knows a guy. Well, this guy knows a girl who's a real estate agent, and she can help you find a place, if you catch my drift." Okay you could have just said you know a real estate agent.
She hands Jay the flyer and he grabs it. "And where are you off to?" He asks them. "We have to find a couple of components to fix the Ninja Tank, and my Dragon Ointment has finally arrived. It's a day's trip, but once we get back, he'll be flying once again." Master answers. "Also, I love scenic drives. Ha, ha. Punch it, Nya." "Ay, ay, Sensei." "Yee-Haw!" I smile as I shake my head at Nya and Wu driving off. Those two, I swear. "'Patty Keys, Real Estate Queen.' Ha, this is exactly what we need. Once we get a roof over our head, we can start training Lloyd." I take the flyer from Jay to see to look at the flyer and see said woman. "Good, 'cause if we know Lord Garmadon, he's not going to be taking any breaks. And let's not forget, the Serpentine are still at large." Cole states. I nod my head in agreement.
But then I gasp as I sense something. I drop the flyer as I hold my head and try to soothe the pain. "(Y/N)?" "Woah! Easy there." I feel myself get caught as I almost fell backwards. I calm myself as the feeling fades and I stand on my own. "(Y/N), you okay?" I look to see Cole and Kai look at me with concerns then I look to see Jay and Zane at my sides. "Yeah.... Yeah." I reply. "Are you sure? You seemed to have been in distress." I hear Zane say. "I'm good. Let's just... Go meet with this Keys woman." I say, bending down and grabbing the flyer and stand up. "Are you sure?" "Yes." I say to Kai.
Honestly, what I felt was far away and very familiar. But I could not focus on that right now. We then picked up Lloyd and go to meet with Patty Keys. She lead us to a building and into a room that was, uh, not ideal. "This one bedroom, one half bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach. Now wait until you see the lighting." She says, the I hear a flicker of a switch and see the only lightbulb burn out. Then fall onto the ground and shatter. "Uh, who needs lights when you have this view?" Patty Keys says as she pulls up the blinds to a window, which only had a view of bricks.
"Uh, why do I smell old people?" Lloyd asks as he and the rest of us walk into the apartment. "Look, doll. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford." I give her a glare as I walk over and push Lloyd behind me. "Watch you tone, doll, or you're gonna be expecting a visit to a place that will be more costing than this place." I whisper to her. She blinks at me and takes a few steps away. That's right. Be afraid. "Uh, this looks... promising." I hear Cole and look away from Patty Keys as I go over to the guys. "Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to train Lloyd, not kick our feet up in some swanky sweet. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford." Cole states. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, let's not rush into any decision. I mean, if it's really all about Lloyd, don't we need to live some place that'll make training easier?" Jay counters.
Well, we could find someplace else to train him. "Yeah, Jay's right. If we have to get Lloyd ready to save Ninjago from his father, shouldn't he have his own room?" Kai adds. "Technically, that does not matter, he only-" Kai lightly punches Zane, halting him from finishing. "We're only thinking about the children. Ha, ha." Jay says to Patty Keys. Are you, Jay? Are you? I give him a skeptical look. "I do have another property that you'll just love." The woman says.
We ended up checking out another apartment that had the doors slide open at the push of a button. The guys awe at the place and I have to admit that it is impressive. Much more spacious than the previous one. "Now, this is the nine-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor to ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..." Okay, wow. "Uh, it seems a little out of our price range." You are right on that, Cole. "Oh, sure it costs a little more but you deserve it. I forgot to mention, there's also a dragon keep on the roof." I hear the Dragons roar. Okay, now she is rubbing it in. We walk in as I continue to look around. "Maybe we can get a hero discount. After all, we are the Ninja who saved the city." I stop looking as I stop walking as I heard Jay try to get a discount. "I thought Lord Garmadon saved the city." Patty Keys says, making Jay huff and cross in his arms.
"Well, technically, he delivered the blow that destroyed the Devourer that was only possible because the guys got it in position in one giant loop." I state. I mean, it is true. "We could get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses." Kai suggests. "We always said we could use a little more responsibility." Zane agrees. "But we have to train Lloyd." Yes. Our main objective, Kai. "Did I mention the in-house training facility?" Patty Keys adds with a remote in her hand. She points it at a wall and it open to reveal training equipment. We walk over and it looks so much like the Monastery's training course. "We'll take it!" Oh, no.
After Patty Keys left to get the paperwork. I close the doors and turn back to look at the guys. I give them a hard stare as I place my hands on my hips. "What?" Jay questions me. "What? What?!? What are you guys thinking!?!?" I yell at them. They jump back and I quickly calm myself. Closing my eyes and inhaling deeply then exhaling slowly. "Look, I know this place is nice, but it costs too much and we have to put our time into making sure Lloyd is ready for when he has to face his father." I inform them, opening my eyes as I look at them. They look down then Cole looks at me. "We know, but this place, especially the training room, will help a lot." He says. "And we have a roof over our heads." Kai adds. "Along with having our space." Zane adds too. "And video games, (Y/N). Video games!" Really, Jay.
I look at Lloyd and he frowns as he looks at the ground. I then look down to think then sigh, "Alright, but I will be staying to help Lloyd with his training." I admit defeat, crossing my arms. "Yes!" The guys cheer then hurry off to find jobs. I sigh again, but then I feel my shirt get tugged on and look down to see Lloyd. "Are you mad?" He asks. I give him a soft look then sigh again and uncross my arms as I kneel down to look at Lloyd. "No. Just... a little frustrated. I was fine with the first place. I learned to take everything for what it had. But if this is you want then that's okay." I tell him. Honestly, I was hoping I said the right thing. Lloyd smiles at me then I stand up. I breathe deeply, these are gonna be some long days.
Third Person P.O.V.
The guys had gotten different jobs. Jay as a pizza delivery guy, Cole as a bodyguard at a bank to stop criminals from getting away with money, Zane as a chef, and Kai has been attending parties for little kids. Once they get back to the apartment, they would put their earnings in a jar that had a red line marking how much they need to pay the rent. Meanwhile, Lloyd has been training with (Y/N) supervising and helping. Though, she has been taking some time to look after Ultra, the name of the four-headed dragon, to help him in any way she can.
As the days went on, things had been getting a little difficult. Jay had been delivering to places farther away and not getting a tip, Cole tried helping an elderly lady cross a busy street but got hit with her purse, Zane having speed up to make dishes for customers, and the kids at the parties Kai attends have been a little too rough. Currently, all the guys are at the suite. Cole dips his feet into a bin of water with ice in it. Lloyd punches a punching bag and looks at the guys, but he ended up getting knocked down by the bag. "My feet... I can't feel my feet." Cole says. Kai crashes on the couch, covered in stains, "There were so many of them. And they wouldn't stop." He says deliriously as he recalls the party. Zane sprits oil on himself to loosen his gears. He sighs from exhaustion, "My gears locked up several times. I didn't even know my gears could lock up." He says. "I don't even have enough energy to play video games." Jay groans as he reaches for a controller but then falls on his face.
""But I thought you were going to train me when you got home." Lloyd says as he walks over to them. "That was the plan." (Y/N) says as she walks over to him and gives him a bowl of soup. He takes it as he then eats it with a spoon. "This was a bad idea. You guys are too busy to train Lloyd, you're exhausted and you are not even close to paying the rent of this place." She continues as she sets down bowls of soup for the guys. She then walks over to grab the jar and shows how they are not even halfway to the red line which is how much they need to pay for the rent. "Is the jar getting bigger? We're not even close." Jay complains. "And our rent is due tomorrow." Zane reminds them.
"I can pull a double a shift." "And I can do overtime." "Maybe I can sling a few more pizza pies." "And I can make a little extra if I do the human piñata..." Everyone looks at Kai with surprised looks. "Ugh, don't ask." Kai groans as he avoids their looks. "Great, then our priorities are set." Cole states. "No!" The guys and Lloyd look at (Y/N) surprise. "They are not! This place is too much! We should be thankful to even have a roof over our head and you guys are more concerned with having video games?!?" She scolds them. She then closes her eyes as she takes a deep breath then opens her eyes. "If you guys want to overexert yourselves with pointless busy work, then be. My. GUEST!" She snaps then storms out of the suite.
Cole's P.O.V.
Whoa. I haven't seen (Y/N) that angry at us since we fought to see who would be the Green Ninja with a tournament. Maybe she's right, but we have worked too hard to quit now. I shake my head, "Anyway, tomorrow we make rent." I tell the others. "And, uh, what about me?" I look over at Lloyd. "How about you help out and fetch me more ice, huh?" I tell him. He does so and I then pick up the bowl (Y/N) left me. I taste the soup and it's good. (Y/N)'s a pretty good cook. But then a I frown and look back at the doors. She just needs some time to herself that's all.
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I need to calm down. I walk the streets until I end up finding myself at the same bench I sat in days ago. I sigh as sit in it. I know the guys want space, but I don't care where our living space is as long as it's stable. But then I feel something and I check my Gi until I take out the letter I got days ago. Oh, yeah. Welp, no better time then the present. I rip open the top the shake it a little and a key falls into my hand. I look at it with a raised brow then I check the envelope to find something else in it.
I pocket the key and pull out a letter. I unfold it and I start reading it. But then as I read it.... It.... Is.... From.... I gasp then hop off the bench and run off. This could fix things.
Third Person P.O.V.
The guys go back to their jobs and Jay hurries over to his boss. "Pizza delivery. 21st and Union. Get it there in time, or else it's on you." His boss warns, shoving the pizza boxes into Jay's arms. "Uh, how much time is left?" He asks. "Five minutes." "But I'll never get across town in five minutes." "Then I guess it comes out of your pocket. Now get going!" The man shouts as Jay hurries to his motorbike and puts the boxes in the back and revs up as he speeds off. He maneuvers through traffic then gasps as he goes under a truck and makes it. "Help! Help!" "Huh?" He hears a woman in cal out for help and looks in one of the mirrors to see some thugs trying to steal her bag.
He immediately stops as he looks back to see the woman get pulled into an alley. He checks his time, "Help!" But then forgets about it as he then drives over to help the woman. He enters the alley. "What's going on?" He asks. "Mind your own business, ninja." One of the thugs threatens, knife in hand. "No way." Jay affirms. "It's three blades against none." Another says." Jay only glare at them then revs up his bike and charges at them. The thugs yelp then run off but Jay jumps over then through help of a ramp and lands in front of them. "Blind alley, guys." He says, stopping in front of them. The thugs turn around but Jay only revs up his bike again as he chases them then pops a wheelie and jumps into the air. Landing on the thugs. The thugs groan as Jay smiles victoriously. "Thanks you..." The woman says with a relieved smile. Jay bends down a grabs her bag and gives it to her. "... pizza ninja." She finishes as she takes her bag and Jay drives off.
Jay makes it to his destination but looks around with confusion. "Uh, isn't this 21st and Union?" He asks a nearby man. "Sure is, but there hasn't been anything built here in ages." The man answers then walks off. Jay hums in thought as he looks at the area. He parks his bike, take off his helmet and grab the pizza boxes then walks into the area. "Hello? Anyone there?" He calls out. "Ssso, after you rob the bank, we embark on phase two! Ingenious!" He then looks over to see a manhole and walks over as he looks down and finds the Fangpyre and Constrictai generals. "But boss, when are we going to get pizza. I'm hungry." "Rob the bank?" Jay says to himself, completely unaware of the Venomari general sneaking up to him. They capture him as they cover his mouth and have a knife in their other hand, Jay dropping the pizzas down the hole. "Uh, uh, uh. Where do you think you're going? We haven't given you your tip." They said.
Jay was then tied up and left behind as the Fangpyre, Constrictai, and Venomari generals drive off in an old subway train. "Oh, come on, Jay, you gotta warn the others. You can figure a way out of this." Jay says to himself then grunts as he tries to free himself from the ropes. He sighs as he stops for the ropes were too tight. "Okay, maybe not." Jay then looks to his left to see a poster that had a network of the subway system on it. With a route marked in red marker that led to an 'X' with 'BANK' written over it. "So that's the Serpentine master plan. Wicked!" He says then uses the wall to stand up. "Guys, I'm coming!" He then starts hopping and jumps down onto the tracks as he follows where the the subway car went. "Hopefully, Cole can stop the bank robbery." He says as he grunts while hopping.
Back at the bank, Cole leans back on a wall as he slips into a slumber. "Everything okay?" He gasps awake as his boss checks on him. "Nothing out of the ordinary, boss." Cole quickly says to hide his exhaustion. "Thanks for doing the double shift." The man says then goes back inside. "My pleasure. And now," He yawns as he leans back against the wall, "For a little beauty rest." He says then falls asleep. However, the Serpentine generals burrow into the safe and the alarms blare from the break-in. Cole jumps awake as he becomes serious. "Take it all." The Venomari general orders. Cole runs into the bank as the generals have tossed the money into sacks. "Shouldn't we wait for Scaless?" The Fangpyre general asks. "No, you fool, he's carrying out the rest of the mission. Remember?" The Venomari reminds them. "Oh, yeah." "Let'sss get out of here!" They take the money then jump into the hole. Cole then opens the safe and walks over to the hole, "Let'ss take the subway." "Subway?" Cole says.
Elsewhere, police cars drive by and Kai, who was holding balloons as he attends a party, watches them as he senses trouble. "Trouble? Sounds like they need me." He was about to run off, but the woman who hired him grabs him. "Not so fast. I still have you for another hour." She states, not happy with Kai leaving. "Uh, but the bank- People are in danger." Kai says trying to reason to her. "Not until my son is done playing!" She stares as she looks at her son and his friends. But when she looks back at him, he was gone and she was holding the balloons. "You're fired!" She yells at him as he runs off.
"It's true, at the bank." A man says to woman as they wait for their food to served by Zane. "I hear they stole all that money, and no one's doing anything about it." Zane looks at the man as he listens, but accidentally places a cooked egg on a boy's head. Which causes the boy to start crying. "Uh, I'm-I'm sorry." Zane apologizes. "You're fired!" He boss shouts. "It must be my hard drive overheating." He says, as half of his face peals off, the side that was struck by the Devourer. "I mean- Never mind. I'm going." He says then quickly leaves.
"I'll make it up to you, I swear." Cole says to his boss as Kai and Zane arrive. "No, why don't you go home and get a good night's rest, and go ahead and sleep in. In fact, sleep in all day for all I care, because you're fired!" The man says as he walks back into the bank. Kai sighs as he and Zane meet with Cole, "Looks like we're all in the same boat." He says. "That's okay. I hated thar job anyway. Let's go they're getting away?" Cole says then gets down to business. "Which way did they go?" Kai asks. "I overheard them saying something about taking the subway." Cole says. "Good call, let's go!" Zane says as they then run off. "Ninja-Go!" The exclamation as the do Spinjitzu and equip their armor along with putting on their hoods. "Has anyone seen Jay?" Cole asks as he notes the absence of their blue-wearing member.
"Nope." Kai replies. "Not at all. And come to think of it, I have not seen or heard from (Y/N)." Zane says. "Well, we can't focus on that now. We got snakes to stop." Kai says as he, Zane and Cole make it to Ninjago Metro. As for Jay, he was still hopping through the tunnels, he stops as he catches his breath, "Hello? Anyone? Boy, I think I may have picked the wrong track. I hope I see someone soon." He says then continue to hop on.
The others were looking down through an opening in another tunnel as they look to see the oncoming train with the Serpentine generals in it. They wait then once the train was passing them, they jump and land on it. The generals look up as they hear thudding. "Sounds like we have company, boys." The Venomari general saysss. "But I only heard three. Aren't there five?" The Constrictai general says. "No, stupid." "We caught one of them." "But hopefully with the purple one gone," "We will have more fun." The Fangpyre general says. The guys hold on as they make their way to the front. "Unh! Isn't there an easier way to get an inside?" Cole shouts to the Kai and Zane. "Not without a ticket!" Kai shouts back. But then part of the roof he was on was destroyed as he was pulled in through the newly made hole. "What?" Come says in surprise. "I believe Kai just found it." Zane quips. "Nindroids first." Cole says. "Oh, you are such a gentleman." Zane replies as he jumps through the hole and Cole follows and lands on him.
"Let me go, snake!" Kai demands as the Constrictai general holds him. "Welcome to the part-Unh!" He gets interrupted as Kai elbows him in the face. "Care for a drink?" The Venomari says then spits at Zane, making him fall back and Cole falling too. "Uug!" Zane gags in disgust. "Sorry about that." Cole apologizes. "That's quite all right. Venom can't hurt-Ugh!" Zane gets interrupted as he is hit by the Fangpyre. "Ha, ha, ha." They laugh at them. "But that stings a little. Let me have this dance, snake." Zane says as he then grabs and tosses them over Cole as they land on their back. "One down. Two to go." Says by then gets punched by the Fangpyre and stumbles back a little. "These Serpentine are a lot harder to defeat without our weapons." Kai grunts as he tries to free himself from the Constrictai general.
"Just keep fighting. We're not gonna let these fools get away with this." Cole says as he dodged a swing from the Fangpyre's staff then deliver a punch at them that ends up with them landing in a seat and hitting and breaking a window. "Get away? We aren't trying to get away. We're just trying to distract you long enough so that Scales can kidnap Lloyd." The Fangpyre explains. "What?" Kai says shocked. "We could care less about the money. We just wanted the boy. Who's the fool now?" The said as they slither up to Cole.
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
Okay, I just had a shocking discovery, but I can think about it after I tell the others the great news. I smile as I make my way to the apartment. But then I frown as I get closer and only feel Lloyd. Where are the guys? They should be back by now. "Help me!" I jump as I hear Lloyd's voice. I then run as make it to the doors. "Ugh! I know! I want it open!" I hear Lloyd and I try opening the doors but they were locked. "Lloyd! Lloyd, what's wrong?" I yell through the door. "It's Scales!" He yells back. I then try to open the doors but I couldn't unless I break the doors.
I hear a smash. "What do you want with me?" I hear Lloyd. "You ssseem to be the only thing your father cares about. But with you as my hostsage, he'll have no other choice but to let me lead the Serpentine. Hyah!" "Aah!" "Let'sss train." I become angry but then calm myself as I close my eyes and see that Scales is right in front of Lloyd. So that means in order to save him... Aw, screw it. "Lloyd, duck!" I yell. I channel my powers to my fist as I surround it in to resemble a gauntlet and I punch through the wall and hit something. Hard. I pull my fist back and look through the hole to see Scales on his back and away from Lloyd. "You okay?" I ask Lloyd. He moves to look at me and nods his head.
We got the doors opened and I walk in and have him stand behind me. Scales starts to get up but I walk over to him and place my foot on his chest to keep him down. "Don't even think about going through with that so-called plan of yours." I state, looking at him with a glare and he stays down. Good. "Lloyd? (Y/N)? What happened here?" I keep Scales down as I look back to see Wu and Nya enter the suite. "Long story short: Scales was attempting to kidnap Lloyd to use him as leverage against Garmadon so that he would back down and have the Serpentine turn to him to lead." I answer. "Well, looks like you stopped that. But where are the guys?" Nya says. "They must have been busy with the other generals. That must be why they aren't here." I say. "Well, then we must show them what happens when they forget what is most important." Master says.
Third Person P.O.V.
After defeating the generals and stopping the train before Jay could have been railed, the guys hurry back to the suite to save Lloyd. "Lloyd?" Cole calls out, but there was no response. "He's not here." Zane says. They walk around and look to try and hope Lloyd was still here, but he was not. "Oh, we shouldn't have left him." Kai says, feeling guilty. "We should have never taken those jobs in the first place. (Y/N) was right, what were we thinking? Losing Lloyd is by far our greatest loss." Cole says, looking guilty. "But it could be your greatest lesson." Wu makes his presence known as they guys look to him along with Nya, (Y/N) and Lloyd.
"Lloyd!" The guys exclaim in relief as they walk over to him. "You're okay!" Kai says, relieved to see Lloyd. "I wasn't going to be, until (Y/N) showed up at the last moment and saved me from Scales." Lloyd says as he explains what happened. "I go away for a day, and everything falls apart." Nya comments loudly. "I guess we can say we learned we don't need all the fancy stuff, we just need each other." Kai says. "And we're sorry, (Y/N). You were right, it didn't matter where we are so long as we have each other." Cole says to (Y/N). "Yeah, sorry." "You were right." "We hope you can forgive us." Jay, Kai, and Zane say to her too. (Y/N) gives them a smile, "And I'm sorry too. I know you guys just want to be comfortable." She replies to them.
"You want us to help you clean up?" Wu offers. "Well, we are a team." Kai replies. "Nya, I think it's time for another road trip." Wu jokes. "That won't be necessary because I found us a place that won't be as expensive as this suite or as cramped as our first choice." (Y/N) says. "What do you mean by that, (Y/N)?" Wu questions her. (Y/N) only gives him and the rest of the gang a knowing smile. "Come with me." She says then starts walking.
After some time and with the sun just set, they then enter an apartment and look at the place with surprise. "It's a four-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and the kitchen is right next to the living room so we don't have to walk far to sit on the couch and watch TV." (Y/N) informs them. The guys look at the place in shock. "(Y/N), how are going we to afford this? We were fired from our jobs." Zane says as he looks at (Y/N). "Well, I actually got mail before we went hunting for a place to stay and I forgot about it for a while and only remembered it after I needed to cool down." She says then hands Zane the letter that was in the envelope.
Zane takes it then unfolds it as he starts reading it out loud, "I, (F/N) (Father's name) (L/N), hereby leave all of my fortune to my daughter, (Y/N) (L/N). To be given to (Y/N) (L/N) when she is ((Y/N) is around the same age as Cole so I am not going to be super specific so work with me here.) years old, so that she will be old enough to safely manage and responsibly use the money. I leave the key to my savings to you, my child. May you grow to be a strong and happy person, for I will not be there to see you grow but I want you to know that I care for you with all of my heart and being. Love, your father." Zane reads and the others were speechless as they listened to what was on the letter.
"Wait, 'not be there to see you grow,' does that mean-" "That he is gone? Yea." (Y/N) answers Kai, looking away with a sad look. The others frown and look at her with sympathy. "But what a minute. (F/N) (L/N)? He use to own the best jewelry making company in all of Ninjago. However, he vanished without a trace." Nya informs. "What happened to him?" Jay questions. "It's not important." They look at (Y/N) with a surprise look. "Not that I don't care, it's just... Well.... I-I..." (Y/N) stops as she feels a hand on her shoulder and looks at Wu who looks at her with sympathetic eyes. "You have learned of something important and you will need time. You are right that we need to put our focus into training Lloyd and preparing him for his battle with his father, but once the battle is done, we will help you in finding out more about your father and what had happened to him." He tells her.
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I look at Wu then feel my eyes water. I wipe my face to not have any tears fall but then I feel myself be hugged and look down to see Lloyd hugging me. Then the others join and I relax into the embrace and close my eyes. I found out that my father is gone and I never got to meet him, but he cared and left me his money. I smile as I lean into the warmth of my friends. I have a goal once we win, to find out more about my family and get answers.
(So, there is the start of Season Two. I hope you enjoyed. I gave some information about (Y/N)'s father for I wanted to have her know more than just her mother and for said mother, she will be touched on later for (Y/N)'s main objective is to help Lloyd get ready for his battle with Garmadon. And I have something planned later in around Season Four, as of right now. Anyway, have a great day our night. Bye!)
