"Outside, now!" Your mother ordered.
On your phone, your friend Leah texted you.
Leah: lemme guess- getting kicked outside?
You: how'd you guess?
Leah: my mum just kicked me outside
You: huh. see u out there?
Leah: maybe. ttyl!
You: ttyl!
Groaning in frustration, you sighed heavily. You parents had been nagging you to go outside for the past few hours. Now, you wouldn't have any issue with it if it had been summer, or spring, or fall. But nooooo, Moth t Nature just HAD to make it winter. Because why the heck not?
You yanked your blue and silver sweatshirt over your head and stormed out the front door. Behind you, you could hear the 'click' of the door being locked by your parents.
'Just lovely, mom. Locking your own child out of the house. Can't show love in any other way, can you?' You thought.
Patting your jean pocket, you realised that you had forgetter your phone. 'Well isn't this just lovely!'
People swarmed past you, all of them trying to beat each other in a subconscious race to their homes in order to avoid the cold weather. At one point, someone had thrown a snowball at you, to which you wrinkled your nose in disgust and wiped the snow off of you to the best of your abilities.
A cute little white and green cafe snatched your attention before you could continue to mope around anymore. After thinking it through for a few moments, you decided to enter it. Because why not? What's the worst that could happen?
Cute little jingles rang throughout the room as you opened the door. The woman at the front counter looked young, you noticed as you neared her. 'Probably just graduated high school and looking for some money for college,' you analysed.
"Hello! What may I get for you today, miss?" She asked cheerily.
"Umm..." You pondered. "Please, help the next one in line. First time, and I'll be thinking for a few." The woman nodded understandingly.
It only took five minutes for you to pick what you wanted. She gave you a glance, silently asking if you were ready. You nodded dying head and stepped back into line.
"May I please have the black tea?" She types it in and looks up.
"Hot or cold?"
"Definitely hot. Is that even a question?" The both of you laughed.
"Got it. It'll be ready in two minutes, get your cash ready and stand over there please!" She called as she went back.
Doing as instructed, you walked over to the next counter and reached back to grabbed your money...only to find you didn't have any.
You checked everywhere that you would have money- your sweater pockets, you pant pockets, for crap's sake you even checked your hood. On your second round of checking, she walked back.
Setting the steaming cup of tea on the counter, she said, "Four, thirty six."
"I-"
"Here you go ma'am." You were cut of by a male's voice.
She looked at you, the man, then you again, and raised an eyebrow as she accepted the money. You turned around and saw exactly why she looked pretty frazzled. Because, right in front of you, stood the one and only White Ninja, the ninja of ice, Zane.
He took the cup once the lady left and handed it to you.
"Thank you so much, sir," you thanked him as you walked to a booth.
"You are most welcome, he said, looking at the booth across from you. "May I please sit here?" Zane asks, gesturing to the seat.
"Of course," you reply, smiling happily.
He sat down, sending you a quick smile. A faint blush crossed you cheeks, making you look down.
"Oh! Please, forgive me for my lack of manners! I am Zane, and who may you be?" He questioned.
"Ah! (Y/n). Nice to meet you, Zane!" You chirped happily.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Miss (Y/n)," he replied.
Taking a sip of your tea, you looked out the window, only to be greeted by a massive swarm of fangirls. This made you reel your head back rather quickly.
"Oh dear. It appears I am the source of the gathering crowd of people," Zane murmurs. If it were possible, he looked not so amused with it all. "I believe I must go."
"Well, see you around?" You asked.
He nodded his head. "I believe I will."
Once he left and the swarm of fangirls left to follow him, you looked back at your cup, wondering what the heck just happened. There was a small difference, you noticed. A little number was written on the cup in blue pen. Quickly, you ripped it off, jammed it in your pocket, and threw away the cup.
"How'd it go?" Your mother asked.
"It went absolutely great."
