No One P.O.V

When Akira and the group got back from Mega Monster Amusement Park, they were greeted by the sight of Wukong and DBK wearing dresses and wearing makeup on their faces. Mei lifted up her phone and took the picture

"You better delete that photo!" Wukong shouted

"Why are you guys wearing dresses?" Akira asked

"Ruby wanted to have a tea party and suggested we should dress up" Wukong said looking embarrassed

"And how did Ruby convince you, father?" Red Son asked

"...." DBK didn't say anything as he looked away

"I bet he couldn't say no to her since she's a child" Kai said and DBK flinched

"Looks like you hit the nail" Jay said as he chuckled and DBK sent a glare at the poor blue ninja

"By the way, how come you and Akira are the only ones dressed in fancy clothes?" Wukong asked and Jay looked nervous

"Jay took me out to dinner, he wanted to build some confidence when he asks someone out next time" Akira said

"Y-Yeah! Like she said!" Jay said, but the heated glare didn't go away from Red Son's gaze and Jay started to sweat nervously

"Sigh... Can we save this conversation tomorrow? I'm tired..." Akira said as she started walking to her shared room

"Yeah, I'm ready to call it a day" MK said as he let out a yawn and Ruby yawned after him

"Come on, Ruby. Time for bed" Wukong said as he picked the little monkey

"Not sleepy..." Ruby said as she rubbed her tired eyes

"We'll play more tomorrow" Wukong said as he carried her to their shared room with the guys

The next day

The whole group were in the control room, Nya had a hologram of the Fangblade

"They got the first one, but there are three more and we just need one to stop Pythor" Nya said

"They even have a map of the locations of each Fangblade. So the question remains, how are we gonna find them before they do?" Akira asked

"Before that, I still can't get over the fact that Nya is the mysterious samurai! Is anyone else blown away like I am?" Jay asked and both MK and Mei raised their hands

"We're over that. Can we move on?" Kai asked sounding agitated

"Oooohhh, someone's a little hot under the collar" Mei teased

"It appears his impatience is because he has not found his inner peace and unlocked his full potential like Jay and I have" Zane said

"Great observation, Mr. Roboto, but Cole hasn't found it either" Kai said

"I got it!" Cole shouted

"You've unlocked it?! Oh! Why am I the only one?!" Kai shouted

"Kai, I'm sure that's not what Cole meant" Akira said "Cole, what do you mean by found it?"

"Well, I figured out where I recognize the Fangblade from. I have a picture of it" Cole said as he ran out of the room

"Oh, ha, ha, is that it? Heh" Kai laughed

"Kai, you really need to chill. Take it from me" Wukong said as he laying on his cloud while eating some peach flavored chips and Ruby was sitting on his lap while holding the black cat

"All you ever do is slack off" DBK said and it struck a nerve on Wukong

"I got it!" Cole said as he run back into the room with the photo album in his hand. He put the album on the table and opened it, the first page revealed a picture of the Fangblade as a trophy

"It's the Fangblade!" Both MK and Mei said in unison as they took the album and the gang gathered around to look

"Back where I grew up, there's this big competition, where every year the winner get the Blade Cup. My dad won it multiple times" Cole said

"You never told us your dad was an accomplished athlete" Zane said

"Which sport? Maybe we can compete!" Mei said excitedly

"Oh. He's a uh... a blacksmith" Cole said

"Huh? But aren't blacksmiths like weapon making people?" MK asked

"Yeah, they are. But I never heard of a competition for blacksmiths" Kai said

"He's not a blacksmith blacksmith. He's a... Royal Blacksmith" Cole said as he turned the page showed a picture of Cole's dad holding the trophy on stage, then everyone minus Akira started to snicker

"That's your dad?" Jay asked while holding back his laughter

"But how did the Fangblade become a trophy?" Kai asked

"Well, supposedly, the Blade Cup was made by this guy who collected priceless artifacts. His name was something like uh... Dutch...? No, Clutch! Clutch Powers! Anyway, it gets passed on to each year's winner" Cole said

"Who has it now?" Zane asked

"I don't know. I haven't talked to my father in years" Cole said and Akira looked surprised

"Well then, we'll call him up" Kai said

"You can't!" Cole shouted "He thinks I'm in Ninjago City training at the Marty Openheimer School of Performing Arts. He wanted me to follow in his footsteps, but when I couldn't sing or dance, I... I ran away. When he sees I can't dance, he'll know I've been lying in the letters I've been sending him"

"Wait, wait, wait. So, does that mean your dad doesn't even know that you're a ninja?" MK asked

"What? You gonna crack some joke that my old man wears a tutu?" Cole asked looking a bit agitated

"No, but if we're gonna have any chance at getting that Fangblade before they do, we'd better get our own act in tune" Kai said

Akira P.O.V In Ninjago City

Sandy drove the Bounty over the residence area where Cole grew up, and each of us jumped off the Bounty. The ninja used their vehicles to land a little ways away from the area while Wukong used his cloud to land safety while Ruby was clinging onto his shoulder. Pigsy couldn't join us do to work, Tang doesn't want go to any danger, DBK will draw in too much attention do to his size, PIF didn't feel like going, Sandy wants to do some tea shopping with Mo, and Nya stayed behind to fix her Samurai suit. Once the group have safely landed, Cole opened up a case for their weapons

"All right, hand them over" Cole said

"Ah, ah. But no mortal shall possess all four" Jay joked

"Very funny" Cole said as he rolled his eyes

"Wanna remind me again why we can't keep our weapons?" Kai asked

"Yeah! I would never wanna part with my weapon! Especially since this sword has been in my family for generations" Mei said as she put her sword in a case

"I told you, my dad can't find out I'm a ninja, and I don't feel like making up excuses why I'm carrying a giant scythe around. Also, can you two change forms? Or do you need something to cover your whole monkey appearance?" Cole asked

"Nah, don't worry about it. All right, Ruby, like we practiced" Monkey King said and Ruby nodded excitedly. Both their bodies were covered in smoke and a second later, their appearances changed

"Well, what do you guys think?" Monkey King asked

"Wow! You guys don't look like a monkey anymore, but Ruby still looks so adorable!" Jay said as he gushes over the adorable Ruby

"Very impressive" Akira said

"Alright, remember the plan, we find out who has the Fangblade trophy, we snatch it and then we get the heck out of town" Cole said as he was about to knock on the door

"Hey, Cole? How come you didn't tell your father about being a ninja? I'm sure he would've understand that" I asked

"He wouldn't. He wanted me to follow in his footsteps and become a performer like him, he'll be disappointed in me if he knows the truth about me being a ninja instead of a performer" Cole said

"I don't think so" I said and Cole looked at her "If you both sit down for a moment and talk, I'm sure you both would come to the conclusion, and besides, you're his son, no matter what kind of decision you make, he'll always love you"

"Akira..." Cole was speechless

"Welcome" We all jumped from surprised due to that, we looked down and saw Ruby standing by the doorbell. Then the door opened and revealed a man with a cane in his hand

"Cole! It's been forever! And you even used the doorbell!" Cole's father said and he noticed me "Son, is this your girlfriend?"

"Huh?! Her?! No! She's my friend!" Cole said looking flustered and his father laughed at his reaction

"And you brought a group! Come in, come in! I've got a kettle of lemon honey tea on the stove right now" Cole's father said as we entered his home

After Cole's father served us tea, he played some music on the record player

"Did my son tell you I broke my foot? It was the cha-cha, but I swear the percussionist had it in for me" Cole's father said

"Do, dad. I didn't tell them about your silly stories" Cole said

"Silly stories?" Cole's father looked offended

"What he means sir, is that we've been too busy training at the Marty Openheimer School of Performing Arts" I said

"Y-Yeah! Well, um... see, we have this final research paper we're doing on the history of Ninjago talent, and what we really wanted to know was, how can we get our hands on the Blade Cup?" Cole asked

"That sounded kinda villainess" MK whispered

"I agree" Monkey King said in a low voice as both Red Son and Mei nodded in agreement

"You're talking about getting your hands on The Blade Cup? The most prized and heavily guarded award in all of Ninjago, the symbol of excellence in harmony and grace? You can't just get it, you must earn it. You must exhibit style. Perfect pitch. Push the boundaries of artistic license and win this year's Ninjago Talent Show!" Cole's father explained

"Um... perhaps there's an easier way?" Zane suggested, but was ignored

"Is this why you came? You knew I was injured. And when my quartet insisted we shan't go on, all of you have come to take our place! Ha ha! Ingenious! My son, bringing forth the next evolution of the Royal Blacksmiths and teaching the next generation!" Cole's father said as patted Ruby's head "Let me hear the sweet, sweet sound of harmony" Then Cole's father his hand by his ear

Ruby covered her ears from the terrible out of tune voices including the rest of us

"What about you, young lady?" Cole's father asked me, I placed my cup down on the table and cleared my throat

"Harmony~" I singed and everyone looked at me with a surprised look "What? Didn't I tell you I can sing?" I asked

"You didn't us..." Mei said

"You sing so beautiful, my dear" Red Son said as fire hearts floated above his head

"I volunteer Akira to sing in the talent show for our group!" MK shouted

"Look, dad. We just need the trophy" Cole said

"Yes, we wish to bring home the gold and I was hoping you could train us for the talent show" I said and Cole's father was crying happy tears

"I've never been more proud. If you'll excuse me... I need to write a song about my feelings" Cole's father said as he leaves the room

"What are you doing?!" Cole asked

"Look, we enter this competition so we can get close enough to The Blade Cup. Once we get the Fangblade, we leave town. How hard can it be?" Kai asked

"Probably very hard because you guys are way out of tune when it comes to singing" Mei pointed out

"No one asked you!" Kai shouted

"I have to agree with Mei on that one. If you want to win, then we need to start working now. Akira, for you, pick a song you want to sing" MK said as he pushes the ninja into another room

Timeskip~ Ninjago City Talent Show -Night time No One P.O.V

Akira and the group were at the building where the talent show is taking place, Akira is looking through the wardrobe that they have, she saw a beautiful white dress that sparkles and decided to wear for her performance. After changing into the dress, she decided to keep her hairstyle the same and she applied some light eyeshadow and applied some lip gloss. Once she finished getting ready, she heard a knock on the door, the door opened up to reveal Mei who let out a huge gasp

"OMG! You look so beautiful!" Mei said as she took a picture

"Thanks, Mei" Akira thanked her "Where are the guys?"

"They're with the ninjas" Mei said

"Miss Akira, your up!" The stage manager said

"Well, wish me me luck" Akira said and Mei gave her a thumbs up with a huge smile

As Akira was heading for the stage, she felt everyone looking at her with an awe look

"Next up, the beautiful Akira!" The MC announced and Akira walked on stage. She grabbed the microphone and looked at the crowd and started singing

After her performance, the whole crowd let out a huge cheer and applauses. She looked at the judges, they gave her the perfect 10 score. Akira noticed that third judge score board has hearts on it, which made her confused, but soon realized that the third judge was none other than Pythor. He waved at her with a goofy grin on his face. Then Akira left the stage, once she got to backstage, she was surrounded by her friends

"Girl, you were amazing!" Mei said as she showed her the video of the performance

"You sang like a goddess of the Celestial Realm" Red Son said and MK nodded

"If you were a Celestial Maiden, you'll definitely be courted by many" Wukong said

"Big sis sang amazing!" Ruby said with a bright smile

"Geez, you guys are making me feel embarrassed" Akira said as she scratches the back of her head, then she notices the ninja head toward them, they weren't in their performing costumes, they were in their ninja suits

"And last but not least, The Royal Blacksmith- Uh, hold on. Uh, this just in, there's been a switch. Taking the stage next is Spin Harmony!" The MC announced

"If we're gonna do this, I want everyone to see who we are" Cole said

"I have butterflies in my stomach" Zane said

"Aw, come on, that's just nerves" Jay said, then Zane opened up his chest and some butterflies flew out of him

"Oh, you mean that literally" MK said and Ruby started chasing after the butterflies

"Okay. Glad he got that out of his system" Jay said

"Guys" The ninja looked at Akira "I wish you guys luck" Akira said with a smile

"T-Thanks, though we're pretty sure you won this competition" Cole said, and they walked towards the stage

While the Serpentine failed to sabotage the ninja's performance, Cole did the impossible, he did the Triple Tiger Sashay and the whole crowd went wild

"Oh! He did it! The Triple Tiger Sashay! He's danced the impossible!" The MC said and the first two judges gave them 10 while Pythor gave a 0, then an arm came out from Pythor's mouth and wrote a 1 next to the 0 "Another perfect score! It's a tie between Miss Akira and Spin Harmony!" The MC said "Who shall win The Blade C- Uh, hold on a minute... Looks like Miss Akira gives up her spot! Spin Harmony wins!" Then the people gave the ninja the trophy and Cole lifted up the trophy above his head

When they got backstage, the ninja went to Akira

"Akira, why did you drop out like that?" Kai asked

"Yeah, you could've stayed on while we drop out" Jay said

"Simple. You guys showed more harmony than anyone else, so you guys deserved it" Akira said, and the ninja blushed at her words

"Well, you should thank Cole for that. Thanks to him, Ninjago will sleep safely tonight" Kai said

"Thanks, but go on and celebrate without me. Winning doesn't feel the same with my dad being able to-"

"Cole!" Someone called out, everyone turned around and saw Cole's dad

"Dad?" Cole started walking toward him

"I saw it all, son. I saw it all" Cole's dad said as he hugged Cole

"You saw me dance?" Cole asked

"More importantly, I saw yo fight. Those Serpentine were up to no good, trying to steal the show and I saw you stand up for what is right. I was wrong. I shouldn't have pushed you so hard to follow in my footsteps. Everyone is born with a special talent inside that's just waiting to get out. And you were born to be a ninja" Cole's dad said

"You're not mad?" Cole asked

"How can I be? My son's a hero" Cole's dad said, and slithering out from the shadows was Pythor

"Sorry to interrupt your little family reunion, but did you know it's me, Pythor?" Pythor said as he took off the fake beard off his face

"You couldn't fool us, Pythor" Cole said, but then...

"Woah! Mei! It's Pythor! The third judge was Pythor!" MK said

"That's crazy dude!" Mei said

"I'm surrounded by morons" Red Son said as he let out a exhausted breath

"Scary snake man!" Ruby said as she jumps into Wukong's arms and hid her face

"Except for those guys" Cole said

"Anyway, I didn't want you to miss our big show stopper" Pythor said and the Constrictai hit some the equipment from above and it started falling towards Cole's dad

"Dad!" Cole shouted as he ran towards him to protect him, then the equipment landed on both him and his father, covering the whole area in dust

"Cole!" Everyone shouted worriedly, then Pythor used the opportunity to take the trophy away from the ninja and got away

"They took the Fangblade!" Jay said as he coughed due to the dust

"We can worry about it later! We need to check on them!" Wukong said, and they all went to where Cole and his dad are buried, then they saw Cole's scythe starting to glow

"Hey, guys? Why is it glowing?" Mei asked

"Cole, he's found his true potential" Zane said, and Cole lifted up the fallen equipment as his body glowed, when he tossed the equipment to the side, he helped his dad up from the ground

"Wha... What? How did we survive that?" Cole's dad asked and he noticed his son's glowing body

"Cole's found his true potential" Zane said

"His relationship with his father must've been the reason why" Akira said

"He's indestructible!" Jay, MK and Mei said in unison

"Ugh, great. So now I really am the only one who hasn't figured out my special power" Kai pouted and Akira placed her hand on his shoulder

"Don't worry too much, Kai. Your true potential will come. You need to be patient" Akira said, then Cole's body stopped glowing

"Is everyone alright?" Cole asked as he looked at his hands "What happened?"

"We're all okay, son" Cole's dad said

Cole's house - The next day

Everyone was drinking tea and talked about yesterday's events, Cole's dad was hanging a photo of the ninja holding the trophy. He turned to look at the group and noticed his son's blushing face as he was staring at Akira

"Son" Cole turned to look at dad as he gestured him to come closer

"What's up?" Cole asked

"Next time you visit, make sure Akira is your official girlfriend" Cole's dad said and Cole turned bright red

"DAD!" Cole shouted from embarrassment
