Duplicatnation

"Ugh, I don't get paid enough for this" Jiang muttered under her breath as she fixed her hair sticks while moving at a fast pace. First thing in the morning, and takeout orders already have to be taken out. "Order up! Come on, get the lot out!" Pigsy called out as he rang a bell while holding up a bag.

"On it!" MK called out as he grabbed it and packed it up. "Ugh, I wash I still had his morning energy" Jiang commented as she began to follow him out the door. "Eh, you do have your moments that make the rest of us question what you ate or drank that made you go so fast Jiang" Tang told her with an amused smile.

"Yeah, and those moments aren't coming by as frequently as they used to" Jiang replied, smiling when she heard Tang's chuckle before she walked out the door. "Alright, let's hurry up and get this over with. I have a nap that I need to catch up on" she said as she uploaded the day's addresses to her phone and let the map chart their course. "Aren't you, like, nineteen, and therefore able to work longer days?" MK asked.

"Don't you have the mindset of, like, a sixteen and a half even though your a year younger than me and still have more energy than me in the morning?" Jiang shot back as she leaned into her seat while crossing her arms. MK didn't find a comeback so she added, "Now shush and let's get going". The entire morning consisted of delivering noodles, putting on smiles, and repeating the phrase "Pigsy's Noodles!" followed polite interactions, exchangements, and polite goodbyes.

"And that was the last one! For now" Jiang said after coming back to the delivery vehicle. Then, on the way back to the shop, the two were flagged down by Sandy. "MK! Jiang! Boy, did you guys arrive right on time! Scoop up the brushes! We're giving the old girl a fresh coat of paint!" He said.

Just like that, Jiang was revived when it came to energy. "Well, what are we waiting for?!" She cried before grabbing a paintbrush and a bucket of paint and zooming over to the boat, leaving the boys laughing before they joined her. Humming along to her favorite songs, Jiang, MK, and Sandy all worked together to paint the boat, then they all stood back to admire their work before sharing a three-way fist bump.

At the end of the day, and finally back at the apartment over the shop, Jiang came out from the showers with her hair up in the towel while wearing a simple black T-shirt and comfortable red shorts. "I need to get my highlights redone. Their starting to fade away" she said after spotting MK, who had been waiting for her. She always spoiled him with amazing bedtime stories, despite the fact that many people would say that he was too old for them.

"Also gives me an excuse to get my hair cut again too" she added. "Hey, it's your hair. You do what you what with it. And now for one of your awesome stories with eight to twelve hours of uninterrupted-Mei?!" MK said, stopping by his bedroom door to see his best friend going through his clothes. "Get up, get up, get up! We're going out!" Mei cried, tossing a shirt at MK.

"Mei, you sure about this? MK's not that big of a night owl like we are" Jiang said. "Oh come on! Why not let him in on some of the fun?" Mei told her. "Well, what do you say? Wanna go out tonight?" Jiang asked, looking at MK.

"Aw yeah!" Her brother cried, making her chuckle. "All right, all right. Go get ready" she said before going back to the bathroom to blowdry her hair. After getting changed and getting her hair up in it's usual bun and fastened with her chop sticks, she, Mei, and MK hit the city.

"Wooo! Anti-gravity arcade yo!" Mei shouted before dragging a laughing MK and a smiling Jiang into a selfie pic. Most of the night was spent in having fun, which costed both MK and Jiang when morning came. Both of them were groggy and Jiang was even more exhausted than usual, but deliveries still had to be made.

And things didn't get any easier when Sandy had them come over to repaint the boat a 'sunset orange' color as he called it. That night, Jiang stayed behind to catch up on some much needed sleep while MK hit the city again with Mei. The cycle continued until MK began to show up in dirty clothing and unkept hair.

Then, Jiang had enough. "Yeah, no. Your not going out like this" she said. "What do you mean?" MK asked asked, slurring his words a bit. "Look at you! Your exhausted! I'll handle all the deliveries today. You go and get yourself cleaned up and sleep. You need it MK. And don't go out partying again tonight. I'm sure Mei will understand" Jiang lectured.

"But how will you get all the deliveries..." MK couldn't even finish his sentence. "MK, I've handled the whole day's deliveries on my own for a good few years before you came into the picture, and I can do it again. Just get some sleep bud. You look terrible" Jiang told him before driving off... "Thank you. And have a great rest of your day!" She called out to the customer as she pocketed the money and returned to the delivery vehicle.

Then, she headed out to Sandy's to repaint his boat. Again. "How do you not run out of paint?" She asked as she moved the paint roller that was connected to a pole.

"Hmm?" Sandy hummed. "I mean, you've had your boat repainted now seven times. And yes, I counted" Jiang told him as she finished up the section she and set down the pole. Sandy suddenly looked very guilty.

"I didn't realize it had been that long now" he said, rubbing the back of his neck. Jiang let out a soft, closed mouth chuckle. "Alright, talk to me. Do you really want to paint your boat, or do you just want something to paint on?" She asked.

"The second one" Sandy said. "Tell you what. I have some canvases in varying sizes that I recently purchased. I can lend some of them if you want?" Jiang told him. "I would like that very much. Thank you Jiang" Sandy told her, bringing around a smile.

"Just helping out a friend" came the girl's reply. She cleaned off the paint from her hands and face and went back to the delivery vehicle, where she gave slight start when her phone began to ring in her back pocket. Taking it out, she was pleasantly surprised when she saw the caller ID.

"Hey MK, what's up? How're you feeling?" She said. "Oh, better than ever! And guess what?!" Came the shouted reply, which made Jiang hold the phone away from her ear. "Alright, what's up?" She asked, cautiously putting the back to her ear.

She listened as MK told her what had all happened while she was out and about. "MK, I love the idea of  making clones if yourself, but it sounds risky. Monkey King has years of experience under his belt, which means he's able to control his clones. , and me and you are just discovering our abilities. All in all, I'm not sure this is a good idea" she said. What MK said next made her sit up straight in her seat.

"What do you mean you've already tried it?!" She shouted into the phone. "MK! For the love of-!" She started to say before a noise came from the phone. "Oh, I know he did not just hang up on me" Jiang said, pulling the phone away and looking at it.

Sure enough, there was a blank, empty screen before it disappeared to her home page on the phone. Jiang slouched in her seat while letting out a loud drawn out groan while letting her hands drop into her lap. How the hell did MK even get the idea in the first place?

That made Jiang sit up again. "Oh, he's gonna get it" she muttered under her breath as she turned the delivery car on and drove off. "Alright Tang, out with it! What did you tell my brother?!" Jiang snapped after kicking open the door, pointing an accusing finger at the scholar.

"What do you mean?" Came the nochalant reply. "What did you tell MK about clones?" Jiang rephrased as she came closer. "Oh, that. Well, the kid was feeling overwhelmed with everything that's been happening lately, so I told him about one of Monkey King's seventy two transformations" Tang said before sipping on the leftover liquid in his bowl.

"And you didn't even think once about pausing to look over any possible consequences that may come out of this?" Jiang asked him. "Jiang, chill out. You always see the bad in everything that's new. Besides, what's the worst that could happen?" Tang told her. "First of all, every time someone says that, something very bad always happens. And second, I do not always see the bad in everything. However, if something bad does come out of this, I'm going to make sure you are least take part of the blame" Jiang said, getting a simple shrug and a "Fair enough" in return.

Over the next few days, everyone saw a change occuring in the young boy. He seemed to be everywhere at once and never seemed to run out of energy. And only Jiang, Tang, and MK knew why.

Jiang could never shake off the feeling that something bad was going to happen, despite everything having a good outlook. Until one day she walked into the shop after a hard night out with a few of her friends only to find Pigsy in shock and MK not twice her height, and almost five times her size. "...I'm taking a nap. I think I had too much to drink last night" she said.

No one questioned anything as she went upstairs to her bedroom. She was out the second her head hit the pillow. After what seemed to be a couple seconds, she woke with a start to her name being screamed out at the top of someone's lungs.

"Dear gods, now what?" She muttered, holding her head, which was pounding. After getting into some clean clothes and refixing her hair, she went dow ln the stairs, to come to a surprising sight. The much much bigger version of MK was still there, though this time he was downing a bowl of noodles.

However, another, normal looking MK was standing at the doorway with the headphones in and having a not so concealed bald spot on his head. Pigsty started stomping towards the actual boy, but the bigger version of him ended up rolling on top of the pig demon, trapping him underneath. "Well, how are you going to clean this mess up?" Tang asked, eliciting a glare from Jiang.

MK summoned the staff and poked his overgrown double, but nothing happened. "Ah! That was never going to work! Mr. Tang, how did Monkey King get rid of his clones?" He asked, looking at the scholar. "Hmm, I don't know" came the reply, making both MK and Jiang groan.

"Maybe try some pressure points, or some wavy Kong Fu, hmm?" Tang suggested. "I'm not sure that's going to work with how, big, this clone is, but alright. Here goes nothing" Jiang said before cautiously approaching the clone, who was now trying to the staff, which Jiang, with some difficulty, pulled away. "Yuck. Here, you can clean that up" she said, handing the staff off to MK, who grimaced a bit.

"One wavy Kong Fu. Hope this works" Jiang said, before performing the moves that Wukong used to cap her's and MK's powers. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, the clone quite literally exploded, leaving behind little hair fragments as evidence it had ever existed.

"Yuck" Jiang commented. "Well, looks like everything's back to normal, hmm?" Tang said as Pigsy groaned. Jiang felt bad for him.

It couldn't have felt too comfortable to have all that weight pressing down on you. "Pigsy!" MK cried, but Jiang's phone vibrating and ringing distracted him. "Oh, it's Sandy" Jiang told him.

MK suddenly had a weird look on his face. "MK? Please tell me you didn't...?" Jiang asked, already guessing the answer. "Uh, I gotta go!" MK cried before dashing out the door.

Jiang sighed before picking up the now clean staff, which she fastened to her back, before running out after him. Not before giving Tang a knowing glare, which made him shiver a bit. Arriving at the boat pier, Jiang spotted another clone approaching Sandy with a crazed look as well as paint on his face, while holding a dripping paintbrush.

MK sneaked up and called out, "Missed a spot!" which made the clone panic, giving the boy enough time to perform the move that Jiang had pulled back at the shop. The clone disappeared and Jiang went up to Sandy. "Sandy! Are you alright?!" She cried as she worked on the ropes holding him up.

"I'm alright. So, MK, mystic monkey business? How many of those did you make?" Sandy said then asked as he hit the ground. Jiang held MK's head and showed Sandy the bald spot. "That should answer your question" she said before MK shoved her off.

"Well, let's get going. We have a lot of clones to take care of" Jiang said. Getting back into the delivery car, she and MK headed out to the big city. More specifically, the club.

Bursting through the door, MK cried out, "Alright party clone, where is she?!". The party clone spat out some random nonsense that Jiang didn't even bother to try and make sense of. "Enough of your party talk, where's Mei?!" She snapped.

"Ouch, that's how your going to talk to your own brother?" The clone asked her. "You are not the real version of my brother" Jiang hissed back. With a laugh, the clone pressed something and the wall opened up behind it, revealing a live action version of Monkey Mech.

With Mei as the prize. "Hey MK, Jiang, mystic monkey business? Your really bad at making clones by the way" Mei called out, looking and sounding exhausted. "Hand her over you! M-me? We?" MK said, a little unsure if how to address his clone, which made Jiang mentally role her eyes.

"Cool yo jets O.G. You two what to get to me, you gotta get through my boys!" The party clone said, pressing a button. In an instant, MK and Jiang we're surrounded by by the multiple clones the boy had made. "Why did you make so many MKs MK?!" Mei called out.

"Yeah, what was the deal?!" Jiang agreed, doing a full three sixty spin before taking up a fighting pose, standing back to back with her brother. The real version of her brother. "Oops, my finger slipped" Party Clone called out, pressing another button that made something open up and start glowing under Mei, which had her yelling.

"Mei!" MK and Jiang called out. Party Clone laughed. "Get em boys" he said.

And with that, the clones attacked. "Shit!" Jiang cried before she and MK started running, using the staff to keep themselves out of the clones reach. "Mei! Hang on, we're coming!" Jiang yelled as she saw Mei was slowly being lowered to whatever was beneath her.

Jiang really didn't feel like knowing what it was. Grabbing the staff, she spin it around before launching it at the glass, successfully impaling the substance that kept her and her brother from their friend. Using her own momentum, Jiang slammed her foot against the staff, driving it in even more and making the glass crack before it shattered, releasing everything that had been inside.

Mei began to fall, but with another throw of the staff, she was saved. The group shared a laugh of relief, but the moment was shortlived as the MK clones appeared, dog piling the group. "Ha! They brought themselves right to us!" Jiang said, suddenly smirking.

"What?! What are you--?!" MK said before Jiang began to focus. Then, she performed the same move that she had used back at the shop. One by one, the clones quickly burst into hair strands.

Leaving only one left. Jiang panted a bit as she put her hands on her knees while MK and Mei, who had been untied, jumped down, landing in front of the shocked party clone. "One to go!" Mei said, pointing at it.

"W-w-wait! Mei! How do you know I'm not the real MK? There's two of us at this porty!" Said the party clone. "Seriously?!" Jiang yelled out, not believing the clone's stupidity. The clone realized it's mistake and turned around, saying "Ah shoot. I played myself" with a light southern accent before MK performed the move one last time.

"Never forget the music" the clone said before he burst into small hair fragments. "Nice work baldy" Mei joked. "Well, he's not exactly bald yet. Give it some time. His unkept hairstyles will come back soon enough" Jiang said, ruffling the hair her brother had left.

"I'm sorry guys. What was I thinking?" MK said. "You weren't" Jiang muttered under her breath. "Don't worry. I gotcha buddy" Mei said, holding fistfuls of MK's hair.

She placed one fistful on his head. "Is it noticable?" He asked. "Not at all my boy" Mei said, who had managed to fashion a old man's version of a beard and mustache from the fistful she still had.

"Pfft, gross! Don't stroke it!" MK cried with a smile as Jiang and Mei both laughed. Later on at Jiang's apartment, Jiang came out of the shower as MK sighed and flopped backwards onto his bed. She was an adult, and made enough money to afford the monthly rent.

"You guys got the day off?" Mei asked. "Yeah, Pigsy cut me and Jiang some slack. After we, cleaned up all that hair. And, paid him back for all the food" MK said as Jiang sat on her bed. "Why does no one ever listen to me when I feel like something's going to go wrong?" She said, giving a pointed look at nothing in particular.

Mei gave a light chuckle. "So, did you learn your lesson?" She asked MK, flipping through one of Jiang's many comic books. "You know it!" MK said before seeing what Jiang had on the TV.

"Oh! Monkey King marathon, turn it up!" He said to his sister. Jiang looked for the remote, but couldn't find it. "Oh thanks" she heard MK say.

Looking over, she now saw a double of the boy. She shared a glance with Mei before looking back to glare at the boys, who both assumed their own nervous expressions. "MK!!!!"
