A Hero is Born

(I apologize for not adding this in sooner, but this book will contain some cursing, soooo, yeah. Read at your own risk and all of that mumbo jumbo)

The sound of an alarm clock tore through the air, and made Jiang wake up with a start. Quickly looking around, her eyes landed on the annoying device and she sighed, burying her face back into the pillow while reaching over to turn off the shrieking clock. After a couple of tries, she managed to hit the off button and the dreaded noise finally went off.

After letting out a soft, muffled groan, Jiang lifted her face and dragged herself out of the warm comforts of her bed. Then she set about getting ready for the day. She changed into her clothes, brushed out the knots and tangles that appeared in her hair, and then worked on putting it up.

Once that was done, she reached over to the surface of the small dresser that was beside her. Confusion settled in when her hand tapped against the surface of the wood, and nothing else. Looking over, the top of the dresser was clean and spotless.

Jiang let out a frustrated groan, and let go of her hair, letting it fall down again. She walked out of the room and down the stairs, coming into the main shop/ restaurant area. She smiled at the sight of Tang telling MK the story of the Monkey King.

Tang had said the story so many times now that Jiang knew the words by heart. "Oh, hello Jiang" Tang said, taking a moment to greet her and push his glasses further up his face. "Good morning Tang. Wassup MK?" Jiang returned the greeting.

She ruffled MK's hair when she passed by him, smiling at his indignant, "Hey!". "Well, before I let you continue with your story, has anybody seen my hair sticks? I could've sworn I left them on my dresser" Jiang said, scratching her head while placing the other hand on her hip. MK froze and suddenly looked nervous, tapping his fingertips together.

"MK, what did you do?" Jiang asked, knowing the look on MK's face. "So, I uh, I might've, um accidentally, uh... threw them out?" MK said hesitantly, rubbing the back of his neck. "MK! Come on man, that's the third time this week!" Jiang scolded as she walked towards the back of the shop.

"I know! I know! I'm sorry! It was an accident. I was looking for a candy bar, and I couldn't find one, so I went to your room, and, well, I accidentally knocked the sticks into the trash" MK quickly explained. Jiang sighed as she came back into the dining area of the shop, holding two chopsticks in her mouth while her hands were busy putting her hair up. "MK, next time, ask before going through people's rooms" she said, somewhat muffled due to the chop sticks.

Her voice became more clear once she removed them and began placing them in her hair. "I would have gladly given you a candy bar bro. Just ask me next time, jeez" she said, placing in the last chopstick and giving MK a one armed side hug. The young boy let out a sigh of relief at the words of forgiveness, and now turned back to Tang, practically begging him to finish the story. "Just do it Tang, otherwise he'll never shut up about it" Jiang said with an amused eye roll while grabbing the take-out orders of the day.

Tang gave an amused smile before picking up where he left off, making MK instantly focus on him. Jiang rolled her eyes before glancing at the clock. She still had about thirty minutes left before she and MK were supposed to deliver the take-out orders.

So, she grabbed a pencil and a sketch pad and walked outside. There was a small, somewhat secluded foresty area that was really beautiful, and overlooked the coastline. Sitting down crosslegged, Jiang began looking around for something to draw.

She spotted an Orchid flower branch close by and settled on that. Now, Jiang was both very good, and very fast when it came to art, and in less than five minutes, she had drawn a very detailed full bloom Orchid flower. She had already sketched out the rest of the branch and flowers when a soft flutter of wings caught her attention.

Looking behind her, Jiang spotted a small, but beautiful bird. It couldn't have been bigger than her whole hand. "Well hello pretty bird" the female greeted, getting a sharp chirp in reply.

The little bird hopped into Jiang's knee, making her chuckle a bit before she took on a thoughtful expression. "I wonder if you could hold still just for a bit" she said quietly as she gently pressed her pencil back against the paper of the sketch pad. The little bird seemed to understand her, because it became so still that Jiang wondered if it just turned into a statue.

After about fifteen minutes, Jiang out the pencil down and held up the sketch pad to the bird. "What do you think?" She asked. The bird tweeted and chirped while jumping and fluttering it's wings, making Jiang laugh. "Alright, alright. Jeez buddy" she said with a light giggle as her laughter died down.

She then heard Pigsy's voice yelling about something. Probably yelling at Tang for being a freeloader again. "Well, I gotta go. See you around, pretty bird" Jiang said, gently stroking the bird's neck.

It took off to the skies, while Jiang got up and headed back to the noodle shop, slipping inside unnoticed, just in time to see Pigsy cornering MK. "And you! You and Jiang have both been slackin off all mornin'! I have a dozen orders that need to go out. So quit slackin and get packin!" He yelled. "Actually Pigsy, the orders were already packed up to begin with" Jiang pointed out with a light smile as she set her drawing stuff.

"Well then get to it!" Pigsy yelled again. "Yeah, well, I was about to take my break, soooo" MK said a bit nervously. "Break. Break?! There's no break in war! I need workers. Soldiers in the army of Pigsy's Noodles. Home of the world's longest noodles. How else am I going to expand my business into enemy territory?!" Pigsy said, waving around the wooden spoon in his hand. "Uh, do you mean across the street?" MK and Jiang spoke in unison.

Everyone looked over at the shop across the street. Pigsy and the hog demon that was over there had a vicious glaring contest. "I stand by my statement" Pigsy finally said before shoving a couple extra orders at MK that Jiang forgot to pack.

"Now, hurry up!" He ordered, kicking MK and Jiang out of the shop. Outside, Jiang paused, making MK look at her in confusion. "Jiang, what are you-!" He started to ask before Jiang held up a finger.

She raised her other hand, which had three fingers held up. One by one, she put her finger down, and as soon as she put the last finger down, the sound of Pigsy yelling at Tang was heard. "I will never understand how you always manage to do that" MK said as he packed in the last of the orders.

"It's called practice and memorization. And since you drove last time, now it's my turn" Jiang replied before hopping into the driver's seat. MK hopped in beside her and put on some music from one of his many playlists. Then, they drove off, talking, laughing, and arguing about a lot of things, most of it, being about the legendary Monkey King.

"With all of the stories that surround him and his adventures, how could he not be real?!" MK cried as Jiang turned down the music. "I'm just saying, if he really is real, then where has he been all this time, huh? No one has ever seen or heard from the guy since he disappeared into thin air after he shut the Demon Bull King under that mountain" Jiang protested as she went to deliver an order. "Have a good day" she said to the customer with a smile after taking the money.

She returned to MK, who was now on a rant that didn't seem like it was going to be ending anytime soon, so, she was surprised when MK stopped abruptly. "What?" She asked. "We have one last order to deliver, and then we're done!" MK cheered.

"Oh thank gods" Jiang said as MK loaded the address into her phone, and then they were off. "You know what, let's just agree, to disagree, when it comes to the Monkey King, alright?" She said after a moment of silence. "Okay, sounds good" MK said, nodding.

"...Turn the music back on. It's too quiet now" Jiang said, smiling as she heard MK chuckle while complying with her request. The two eventually arrived at what appeared to be a construction zone. A bit sketchy, but okay, Jiang thought as she looked around.

MK now had his headphones on as he held the last bag containing the food order, and now he was dancing around to whatever he was blasting in his headphones. After watching him for a couple seconds with an amused expression, Jiang opened the door to the lift and stepped aside as MK literally slid in, then she went in herself and pushed the button that operated the lift. Getting down to the ground level, Jiang watched as MK made his along, dancing to his music.

When he finally stopped, Jiang clapped, startling him slightly. "Nice moves happy feet" she said as she walked over to him. "Why thank you! I'm been practicing so that I can beat you in a dance battle one day" MK said proudly. Jiang chuckled while shaking her head.

However, before she could say something, she heard someone talking. "Feels like I've waited an eternity for this moment. Is everything in order?" a female voice echoed. "Just making the final adjustments mother" a male answered.

Up ahead, Jiang spotted two people that were surrounded by what looked like bull robots that were all identical to each other. "MK! Come on" she said, grabbing her brother by the arm and pulling him over to an area that kept them hidden, yet still allowed them to see what was going on. Jiang turned around when MK let out a soft gasp.

"What? What is it?" She asked. She followed MK's finger as he pointed at something. "No way" she breathed.

Up ahead, there was a tree that rested on a small green hill. At the base of the tree, stood a staff that seemed to glow in the shade that was provided by the tree. "My gods" Jiang breathed out.

There it was. The staff of the legendary Monkey King himself. "See? I told you he was real!" MK whisper-shouted.

Jiang gave him a look, but immediately tuned back in the the conversation that had been happening. But, she and MK were just a bit too far to really hear what was being said. "MK, follow me" Jiang said.

"Wait, what are-oh" MK said, watching as his sister began climbing up to the pipes that ran around above them. "My love will finally be returned, once we remove the staff" the female said. Now almost above the group, and after apologizing to the bird they had accidentally startled, Jiang and MK watched as one of the bull clones went towards the staff, and attempted to pick it up.

It ended up losing its arms in the process. MK and Jiang both winced. That couldn't have felt too good, Jiang thought.

"You fool. You think we didn't try that already? It's going to take more than a few robots to lift the Monkey King's staff. Only those deemed worthy can lift it! But I, Red Son, have designed this gauntlet to bend it to my will" the male, who Jiang now knew as Red Son, said. MK let out a gasp, but was startled as he lost his hold on the pipes. "MK!" Jiang cried, holding on to the pipes with one hand, and catching MK's wrist with the other.

Jiang looked over, but it seemed that no one had heard what happened. Letting out a sigh, she looked down. "MK, if you get us caught, I will murder you myself!" She hissed.

MK quickly nodded, and the two focused on what was going on. Red Son approached the staff, and with an evil chuckle, he put the gauntlet on the staff. Then, he began straining to pull and lift the weapon.

Jiang watched as the vegetation around the base of the staff wilted and disintegrated away, and with a loud clang, the staff came free. "Yes! I did it!" Red Son yelled out as he held up the staff. All of the bull clones cheered and clapped in unison, however, nothing was happening.

"Wow. That was anticlimactic" Jiang noted. "What?! Why isn't anything happening?! Mother, are you sure this is the right mountain?" Red Son said then asked. "No, maybe it was that other mountain with the magical staff sealing away my husband!" His mother replied.

However, the entire place began to shake, bringing everyone's attention to the tree on the hill. Then, the ground cracked and practically exploded with a burst of bright green light. Jiang closed her eyes and looked away, turning back once it faded away, and she silently gasped at what she saw.

There, in all of his mighty and terrifying glory and might, stood the Demon Bull King. "Flesh, bone, I have returned to the realm of the living" he said. Jiang winced a bit, something MK somehow noticed.

"You alright?" He asked. "I'm not sure how much longer I can hold on buddy" Jiang admitted. Her entire arm was begining to hurt, as well as cramp up a bit.

"Oh, nonononono, you can't let go Jiang, not while we're way up here!" MK whisper-shouted. "You think I don't know that?! Let's see how well you do when you have to keep yourself from falling, while holding some extra heavy weight!" Jiang snapped back. The sound of something lightly hopping along the pipe drew her attention, and upon looking up, Jiang noticed that the bird that had been there the entire time was the one she had drew that morning.

"Oh, it's you again" she muttered, though she paused when the bird looked at her, then at her hand, and back again. Jiang did the same thing, until the bird leaned over her hand. "Oh, no, no, don't you even think about it, no, don't you fucking dare, I swear if you do it, I'm gonna-"

The bird began to peck at her hand. "Ow! Hey, knock it off!" She snapped at it. "Jiang, what's happening?!" MK asked her.

"Let's just say I have now developed a particular dislike for birds" Jiang told him, letting out a small cry of pain after a particularly sharp jab. "Oh, Demon Bull King! How I've missed you" the lady's voice drifted over. "Princess Iron Fan. The years have been kind. How did you free me?" The Demon Bull King asked.

"Actually, it was me father. I moved the staff. I learned how to harness it. To makes it's power mi-" Jiang watched as Red Son shut up instantly as DBK approached him, making the ground shake with every step. "-O-Our, power" Red Son finished, almost squeaking the words out. "... Excellent" DBK praised him.

"Together, we, the Demon Bull family, will plunge the world into eternal darkness!" Red Son shouted out, holding the Monkey King's staff up. Jiang struggled to keep her hold on the pipes while dealing with the sharp pains in her hand. With a soft shriek, the bird gave a couple of extra hard pecks that broke through the skin, and with that, Jiang was forced to let go.

MK let out a yell as the two plummeted to the ground, him landing on Red Son, her landing with a harsh thump on solid ground. "Stupid damn bird!" Jiang snapped as she held her bleeding hand, though she was momentarily distracted when Monkey King's staff landed directly in front of her. Looking over, she paled slightly at the sight of MK still being on Red Son, while the rest of the Demon Bull family, along with the clones, were glaring daggers at him.

MK gave a nervous chuckle. "Someone ordered some noodles?" He said, holding up the bag. "Get off me you idiot!" Red Son yelled, throwing MK off of him.

"Do you know what you just did?! You ruined my moment!" Red Son yelled, red flames exploding from his head. However, the flames stopped when DBK put his foot down. "A pair of little eavesdropper have fallen into our midst. It seems a waste to crush something so insignificant as my first act of ruler of this new world. But, so be it" the Demon Bull King said as he started raising his foot with the full intent on crushing MK.

"MK!" Jiang shouted, but then, something surprising happened. "Wait father" Red Son said, standing in front of the young boy. "What is this?" DBK growled.

"Waste not your energy on these peasants. Please, allow me to show you how powerful I've become in your absence!" Red Son stated. "...As you wish" DBK replied. Meanwhile, Jiang was motioning for MK to come to her.

"Come on, we gotta get out of here buddy!" She whisper-shouted to him. Both she and MK were startled when Red Son turned to them. "In some ways, your very fortunate, noodle boy and random girl" he said to them.

MK began crawling backwards, fear getting the best of him. The desire to protect her brother kicked in, and Jiang began walking forward while reaching for the knife she always kept in her back pocket. Before she take more than two steps, her foot bumped against something.

Looking down, Jiang spotted the staff. She had been so caught up in everything that had happened that she forgot it had landed in front of her when MK landed on Red Son. Red Son began shouting, making Jiang look up.

From the looks of things, MK had tried to escape again, but Red Son caught him, and now he was very ticked off. Only those who are deemed worthy can lift it, Red Son's words played through her head. Glancing between the staff and the scene taking place in front of her, Jiang hoped and prayed that she was worthy.

MK let out a yell of fright as Red Son laughed himself at him. "Get away from my brother you stupid fire demon!" He heard Jiang yell.

He heard Red Son's flaming fist connect with something, but it wasn't him. Looking up, MK blanched at seeing Jiang in front of him, but he was even more shocked to see her holding the Monkey King's legendary staff in front of her like a shield, blocking Red Son's fist from landing a hit. "I, will not, allow you, or anyone else for that matter, to put a hand on him" Jiang hissed out, glaring at Red Son with such intensity that for a moment, he didn't even know how to react.

Then his mind caught with the fact that she was holding the staff. "No way! How could you possibly lift Monkey King's staff?!" He questioned, backing away. "Maybe because I actually had good intentions for it?" Jiang replied.

"That's impossible" Princess Iron Fan breathed while DBK growled a bit. "Now, I don't know what's going on here, but I'm about to end it! That staff is mine!" Red Son yelled, one of his fists becoming engulfed in flames while multiple Bull clones came behind him along with DBK. Jiang spun the staff a couple times.

"Ba-da-ba-boom" she said before hitting Red Son square in the face with it. He was flung backwards into the bull clones from the force of the blow while MK stated at Jiang like she had just lost her mind. "This can't be" DBK said as he started at Jiang, who looked surprised at what she had just done.

"That was more explosive than I thought it would be" she muttered, looking at the staff in her hands. She looked up at the sound of another staff hitting the ground. Looking up, she spotted Princess Iron Fan glaring at her through half lidded eyes.

"To be honest with you lady, I'm not entirely sure how I'm doing this" she said casually. "That staff doesn't belong to you little girl. Hand it over" Iron Fan told her. "It doesn't belong to you either, so, I'm going to say no" Jiang shot back.

The staff suddenly began to move on its own, startling Jiang a bit, then, one end dug into the ground below her. "MK, buddy, hold on" she said, which prompted MK to cling to her. No sooner had he done so, the staff began to extend at an alarming speed, making both Jiang and MK yell out of surprise and terror.

"Oh, I don't like this, oho, I do not like this!" Jiang yelled out, clinging to the staff for dear life, while trying to keep a hold on MK. Then, the two were practically bucked off, landing in the lift that they had used to get there. The staff again moved on its own, and tore through the floor of the lift, hitting the ground again and making the lift fly up.

MK gripped onto Jiang yelling, and the female responded by holding him tightly against her, praying for this wild ride to be over. They got to the top of the lift and the staff pulled the two out. Jiang held on to it and MK and dragged him over to the vehicle they had used to get there.

"Come on, come on, go go go!" MK yelled. "I'm going, I'm going!" Jiang snapped back as she floored the gas pedal, speeding away from everything that had just taken place. However, it seemed very content in following them when Red Son appeared in a vehicle that was much larger than the delivery car that Jiang was driving.

"Alright you two, hand it over!" Red Son yelled. Jiang let out a frustrated groan as she tried to think of what to do. She was surprised when MK lifted a box of undelivered noodles. "I'm sorry valued customer. But you won't be getting your noodles" he said.

"MK, buddy, what are you doing?" Jiang asked. She received her response when MK threw a bowl of noodles at the vehicle that was chasing them. "...Respect. But you know Pigsy's gonna have our heads for that right?" She said.

MK shrugged a bit with a blank expression before it turned into a fearful one as Red Son's head exploded with flames. "Look, your really scary man!" Jiang yelled before yelping as the staff began moving around on its own again. One end dug into the streets and the staff flung the vehicle up onto the surrounding rooftops.

"Okay, this thing is starting to annoy me" Jiang hissed a bit, giving the now still staff a glare from the corner of her eyes. "Get down here so I can kill you!" Red Son yelled. "Never!" MK yelled back.

The vehicle ended up dropping through someone's roof. "I am so sorry!" Jiang called out as she continued driving, soon bursting out of a wall and landing back on the streets. After a second if silence, a soft giggle from Jiang was all it took for the two to start laughing.

"We, did not just do that!" Jiang cried out. "I know, right? And I think we lost him!" MK replied. However, the laughter faded away as the delivery car made some weird noises, then slowed to a stop.

"Oh no, nonononono! Not now, please not now!" Jiang said, banging her head against the seat while MK ran around the car, trying to get it to start again. "Oh man, Pigsy is so gonna kill us" Jiang muttered, loud enough for MK to hear. Right then, the sound of engine cut through the air, and Red Son's vehicle appeared at the other end of the road.

"Oh shit. MK, run for it!" Jiang yelled at she grabbed the staff and hopped out of the broken down car. Her brother ended up stealing someone's hoverboard and went slow enough so that Jiang could hop on. "I'm coming to get you noodle boy and random girl!" Red Son laughed out.

"Dude, do you even know how to drive one of these?!" Jiang yelled at MK swerved and twirled through the air. "Not really!" MK yelled back. "Oh, for the love of--move over!" Jiang snapped as she managed to fasten the staff to her back while getting up to the front.

MK held on tightly to her waist as Jiang steered the hoverboard around the place and through a narrow alleyway. Looking back, she and MK were glad to see the Red Son's vehicle was too large, and had gotten stuck. MK let out a laugh.

"See ya!" He called before Jiang picked up the pace. The two were going along a highway before the sound of a motorcycle reached their ears. "Oh come on! Where did you get that?!" MK groaned when he spotted Red Son.

"Does this guy never give up?!" Jiang yelled in frustration. "What? You two think I don't drive anything that has at least one complex transformation?" Red Son gloated. He did something that made the motorcycle go even faster and caught up with the two siblings.

"Seriously?" Jiang deadpanned before the vehicle crashed into her and MK. Right as they went over a dead end highway. Then, someone with a helmet and motorcycle suit appeared, grabbing Jiang and MK and pulling the two onto their motorcycle.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Red Son cried. Whoever was driving landed back on terra firma and drove faster to get away. "Oh my gods, thank you!" Jiang yelled, using one hand to hold the back of the motorcycle while MK sat on her lap.

The two ended up getting thrown off as the motorcycle slowed down and came to a stop. The person that was driving got off, deactivated their suit and helmet, and held of their phone. "Nailed it!" Mei called, doing a peace sign with her fingers before taking a selfie.

"Mei!" MK and Jiang called in unison, the both of them the photo right before it was taken. "That was an intense game of tag. You guys looked like you were having so much fun, I wanted to join in too!" Mei said as she helped MK to his feet. "Actually, we almost died back there" Jiang said as she rubbed the back of her neck while jabbing a thumb behind her to emphasize her point.

"But you guys didn't, so let's celebrate with a round of, Monkey Mech!" Mei replied, pointing towards an arcade machine. "You guys should invite your new edgy friend too" she added. "Well, he was trying to kill me and Jiang" MK told her.

"Well, in that case, where does he live?" Mei asked creepily. The trio was distracted when a certain pig demon yelled, "MK! Jiang! Where are you, you punks?!". Pigsy quickly spotted the two.

"You two mind telling me why some bozo left a zero star review on Pigsy's Noodles?!" He snapped, stomping over to the trio while holding up his phone, which showed the no star review. "Oh, hehehe, yeah, so, um, funny story, actually" Jiang started to say before Mei cut across. "Whoa! Zero stars? Congrats, that's better than nothing right?" She said with a bright smile.

"That's not how it works Mei!" Pigsy told her before turning back around. "And you two, I-" he started before realizing the the sibling duo had disappeared. "Where'd they go?" He asked.

"Mr. Tang!" Jiang yelled, grabbing Pigsy's attention to her and MK running into the shop. Turns out, the scholar was sipping on a bowl of noodles. "Mr. Tang!" MK shouted, startling him and making him spit everything up.

"Remember the story you told me this morning about the Demon Bull King?" MK said, frantically looking around for something before groaning when he couldn't find it. "Where is it, where is it, where is it?" He said. "MK, right here!" Jiang called, picking up the journal that MK was looking for.

"Ah, there it is. The Demon Bull King, see?!" MK said, opening up the book and showing Tang the pictures. He accidentally knocked over a stack of dirty bowls, which made Pigsy rage about them while Mei held him back from pummeling the two kids. "Yes? What about him?" Tang said through a mouthful of food.

"The Demon Bull King is back! The legend is real! The Monkey King's staff was removed! We have to find him! It's the only way to save everyone before the world is des-" Jiang ranted before a chopstick was thrown at her. "Hey!" She yelled. "Girl, relax! Your getting spit in my soup. Besides, your delusional. It's just a story" Tang told her.

"Delusional, huh. Would you call, that, delusional?!" MK asked, pointing at the staff that was still on Jiang's back. "Oh, yeah, I still have that!" The girl realized. She took off that staff and gave a couple twirls before pointing one end at the group.

"Wow Jiang, MK, you guys found a stick!" Mei praised. "What? No! It's Monkey King's staff!" Jiang said as she let one end fall to the ground. Pigsy, Tang, and Mei all burst out laughing at that.

"You guys aren't listening! Demon Bull King is out there! We have to get the staff back to the Monkey King! It's the real deal! We'll prove it!" MK yelled. "Oh yeah? How?" Pigsy asked. "Uh, well, that's a bit difficult considering this thing's been going haywire every since we got it, like-" Jiang said before tapping the staff, which immediately made the thing extend, breaking a table that it had landed on.

"--like that" Jiang said as the staff slid back to it's original form. Everyone was speechless for a moment. Then, Tang lost it. "M-M-M-Monkey King's staff! I knew it all along! The legendary weapon that only he could wield to seal away evil!" He cried, holding Jiang's arm that was holding that staff up.

"Wait a minute, why do you have it?" Tang asked Jiang. "Alright, I'll bite. If the staff is here, then where is the demon pink now?" Pigsy asked before Jiang could reply. "He's at the shoe store" Mei answered.

"What?" Everyone chorused. "This had better not be another one of your puppy videos Mei" Pigsy said as everyone crowded around the girl. "There's always time for a puppy video. But, no. Look what just started trending. Hashtag, Demon Bull King!" Mei said, showing everyone the pictures and videos.

"Okay, why would DBK be at a show store in the first place?" Jiang asked. "DBK?" MK said. "Short for Demon Bull King, keep up buddy" Jiang told him. Mei began playing a video that showed DBK stealing a whole bunch of limited edition shoes. And he seemed to get more powerful with each one that disappeared into his chest.

"We have to do something" Jiang said. Everyone seemed to agree with her... "Eh, very tight" MK squeaked out as the group drove around in a van. "Pigsy, watch where your going! Your gonna kill us!" Tang cried.

"Yeah! We have to get to Flower Fruit Mountain without get crushed in a car crash. All we need to do, is drive through an entire ocean. Simple!" MK said. "Guys! Demon Bull King's moved on to downtown. He's destroying the cheese taste stalls!" Mei called out. "All the more reason to get the staff to Monkey King! Flower Fruit Mountain, it's the only place he could be! Right Mr. Tang?" Jiang said then asked as she clung on to the back of the seats.

"Hmm, indeed. However, Flower Fruit Mountain is hidden away in deep and dangerous unknown territory. So I guess we better turn back!" Tang replied. "What?!" Mei, MK, and Jiang all chorused. "Eh, shut it you big baby! I know a guy that can take us there. The most dangerous, deadly, rage filled warrior I've ever known" Pigsy said before stepping on the gas.

He eventually stopped in front of a strange looking place. "Sandy" Pigsy breathed out. Inside, everyone was trembling, and Jiang tightened and loosened her grip on the staff in an effort to calm her nerves.

"It's a lot to take in. You know what I do to people who disrupt the peace? Serve them tea! You guys want some? You? How about that guy over there?" Sandy said, confusing everyone. Though, Jiang did let out a soft breath of relief. "I would, love some tea, actually. That sounds really good right about now" she said, raising a hand.

"Oh, don't mind if I do. Certain noodle shop owners could learn a lot from your hospitality Sandy" Tang said. "Oh, your right Pigy. This guy is dangerous. He'll kill us with cuteness!" Mei added as a cat jumped up onto Jiang's lap. "Oh hey buddy" she said, gently running her hand along the cat's back while sipping her tea.

The four legged creature purred in response, and laid down. "Oh wow, what's in it?" Jiang asked, looking inside her cup. "It's my own blend of anti-stress fruits. It really brings the heart rate down" Sandy explained.

"Sandy, what happened to you? Where's the angry, glaring, fist throwing buddy I used to know?!" Pigsy cried angrily. "Well, my therapist said I really needed to calm down, that's why I started drinking tea, doing yoga, investing in therapy cats. Really helps, don't you Mo?" Sandy explained. "Oooh, can I adopt one?" Jiang's asked, holding up the cat that had curled up in her lap.

"Uh, Mr. Sandy, sir? We could really use your help. We've gotta get to Flower Fruit Mountain!" Mei said, doing her puppy eye trick. MK joined her on the floor. "Please? The fate of the world is at stake" he added.

"Ugh, kids" Jiang said, shaking her head. "Ok" Sandy said. "Wait, really?" Jiang and MK asked in unison.

"Anything for Pigsy. I can get you there, but it ain't a pleasant trip" Sandy said. MK and Mei both jumped around chanting, "Yes, yes, yes!" while Jiang looked both amused and surprised at the same time. "Alright, let's get moving. But I'm telling you now old friend, if things get hairy, I'm changed. I don't go around pickin fights no more" Sandy said, looking at Pigsy, who simply sighed.

"Mo, initiate launch sequence!" Sandy ordered. "Whoa, whoa, I'm sorry, launch sequence?" Jiang questioned. Mo the cat went around and slammed a fuzzy paw on a button, making an alarm go off and a holographic screen appear.

The entire place began to violently shift around. "Onwards to Flower Fruit Mountain!" Sandy called out as he spun a ship's wheel. "Wooooo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" Jiang yelled out as the entire place began speeding off to their destination.

Later on, she was sitting down against a wall, sketch pad and pencil in hand, watching as MK played around with the staff. Turns out, he could also lift the thing, and now he was taking full advantage of it. Jiang was distracted though by a beautiful butterfly that had landed close by.

"Oh, wow, aren't you a pretty little thing?" She said the second she spotted it. Placing the pencil against the paper, she began to draw it out, until the butterfly took flight again, this time landing on top of the sketch pad. The beautiful little creature opened it's wings up, allowing Jiang to see the full beauty of them up close.

Erasing the couple lines she already had, Jiang started to trace the butterfly again, capturing everything down to the smallest details. Once she was done, she set her pencil down. "Thanks little buddy" she said to the butterfly before she gently set down the sketch pad.

Then she stood up and stretched, hearing her back pop a little bit. Then she walked over to MK. "Little brother, if you want to actually hit something, you gotta work on your footwork" she said. "Uuuuhhh, what?" MK asked, looking confused. Jiang sighed and took the staff from him. "Something like this" she said before spinning around while simultaneously spinning the staff.

When she stopped, one end was aimed directly at MK's face while the whole weapon was aligned with her arm. "Whoa!" MK breathed out. "And you focused more on the move itself rather than the footwork" Jiang noted, letting one end of the staff hit the ground a bit.

"Okay, okay, let me try!" MK said. "I don't think that's-" Jiang's started to say, but MK already had the staff in hand, and was attempting to copy what she had done, but, he lost his balance and the weapon extended again, almost hitting Mei in the face, who didn't even bat an eye.

"Woo! That was awesome!" The girl cried out. "Ugh, sorry Mei!" MK said while Jiang facepalmed and shook her head. MK tried to pick up the staff, but the thing moved again, and ended up hitting him in the face.

The poor boy fell on his back, looking at everything upside down. "MK, buddy, I swear to the gods--" Jiang started as she cautiously picked up the staff. "We-we're here! Flower Fruit Mountain!" MK cried as he rushed over to the side of the ship.

A large column of fire and magma suddenly burst out of the ocean alongside the boat, startling everyone and making some people fall down. "Whoa" Jiang breathed out as she took in what was in front of her. "Welcome to the Flaming Mountains gang. A volcanic ring surrounds the mountain, making it virtually impossible. This path is the only safe way through. It's as close as the boat can get. Just, be careful" Sandy said as some people got off the boat and onto land.

"Stupid Sandy, stupid Tang. Stayin' cozy in the stupid boat. What did I do to deserve this noodle gods?!" Pigsy lamented. He let out a yell as some lava exploded up in front of him. "Careful Pigy! You gotta wonder why Monkey King decided to live here of all places" Mei said before gasping.

"Y'know, when Monkey King had to get through the Flaming Mountains, he actually used Princess Iron Fan's fan to blow..." MK trailed off upon hearing a female's evil chuckle. Jiang let out a gasp and quickly pushed him behind her, raising a hand up to be ready to grab the staff. "Well, well, well. Aren't you a little Monkey King fanboy?" Iron Fan said as she floated in the air.

A column of fire and magma appeared behind her, and she lightly dipped the tip of her staff into it. Then, she flung the fireball at the group. The blast flung everybody back, and Jiang landed on her chest.

"Ow" she muttered. "Kids! Everyone okay?" She heard Pigsy shout. She lifted her head at the sound of Iron Fan's chuckle.

"I'll be taking that staff now" she said. Jiang glared at her before standing up, holding the staff behind her. "This belongs to the Monkey King. Not you. And there is no way, I'm letting you take it" she hissed out at the floating woman as Mei and MK also stood up.

"Oh, you and your brother are just little kids playing at being a hero. Sorry to disappoint, playtime is over" Iron Fan stated. Jiang narrowed her eyes and rushed forward, spinning the staff as she went, ignoring Pigsy and MK as they shouted for her. Jumping up, Jiang brought the staff down, but it was stopped by a familiar looking gauntlet.

"What?" She breathed. Iron Fan took hold of the staff with a small smile, and knocked both Jiang and MK back, the two of them disappearing behind multiple columns of flames and lava.

And the last thing Jiang saw before darkness clouded her vision was the ground coming closer and closer at a speed that was way too fast for comfort...

Jiang slowly became aware of something sitting on her back and something poking her cheek. With a soft quiet groan, she came to, and opened her eyes while looking up a bit. Right in front of her face was a grey colored, short haired monkey that was holding a stick.

Once it saw that she was awake, the little creature stopped poking her and instead gave a little hoot sound. Twisting her head around, Jiang spotted a second monkey sitting on her back that looked like the first, except it's hair was a snow white color. "Hey guys" she said.

Both creatures gave little chirps in response. After a moment of silence, Jiang began to move, which made the monkey on her back jump off. After getting herself to her knees and elbows, Jiang sat on her feet, and then slowly stood up.

"Aye, my head" she muttered, placing her palm against her temple. Her head was pounding. Suddenly, she heard someone yelling in the distance. It almost sounded like..."MK?!" Jiang shouted.

A distant "Jiang?" answered her. "MK, where are you?!" Jiang called. "I'm not sure. What about you?" MK answered.

Jiang started going in the direction that his voice was coming from. "MK! Keep talking to me!" She shouted. "Uh, what am I supposed to say?".

After a couple minutes, the two siblings found each other. "MK! Little brother! Are you alright?? Are you hurt?" Jiang said worried as she checked over MK. "Jiang, I'm fine, I'm fine, aside from a headache" MK answered her.

"Oh, thank gods" Jiang sighed out. "And check out where we are!" MK added. That prompted Jiang to look around take in their surroundings for the first time since they got here.

They were in the middle of a path with trees and vegetation lining the sides, and the trail seemed to lead towards a beautiful mountain that had multiple waterfalls. "Wow, I can see why anyone would come here. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful, and with an almost impossible to pass ring of security" Jiang noted, glancing back towards the Flaming Mountains. "Flower Fruit Mountain" MK breathed.

"Jiang, come on!" He called, sprinting ahead. "MK, wait up!" Jiang called back, running to catch up. After a bit of a climb, with MK being a little drama king, the two made it to their first stop.

"Oh, quit your whining, it wasn't that bad" Jiang said, standing over MK with her hands on her hips. "Speak for yourself!" MK panted as he laid spread eagled on his back. Jiang rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, but a chittering sound made her look behind her.

What she saw made her softly inhale. "MK, I assure you, the climb is worth the scenes" she said. "What are you-oh wow" MK said as he spotted what Jiang saw.

In front of the two was a beautiful lagoon with multiple waterfalls flowing into it on the other side. Little monkeys were everywhere. Water lilies and somewhat large rocks spotted the water surface.

And vines hung down from the trees. All in all, definitely worth the climb for someone who was sightseeing. "Come on, let's go" Jiang said before she began jumping from rock to rock.

MK quickly followed, and the two got some curious looks and glances from the monkeys that they passed. Soon, the two were standing in front of a waterfall that had the most beautiful turquoise waters Jiang had ever seen. "How do we get through without getting wet?" MK asked.

"Maybe you just gotta knock. It's just water man, it's not gonna hurt you" Jiang told him. MK took the first part of her words in a literal sense and reached forward, but no sooner had his hand even touched the water did something incredible happen. A glowing golden floating symbol appeared, and MK jumped back, hiding behind Jiang a bit, making her roll her eyes again.

A rumbling sound caught both of their attention, and then, the waterfall parted in the middle, revealing a lighted rock cavern behind the wall of water. "MK, come on" Jiang said, grabbing her brother's wrist and pulling him with her. The second the two stepped into the cavern, the waterfall closed, going back to normal.

"No turning back now, I guess" Jiang muttered as she let go of her brother. As the two walked along, Jiang wished she had more eyes. Everything was so beautiful, and there was so much of it that it was hard to take it all in at once.

"Hello?!" MK called out as the two went over a hanging bridge. He called out the word again, and again before the two hit a solid wall. But, Jiang noticed it right after MK.

There were drawing and paintings of people that looked just like their friends. "Hey, look it's the Monkey King!" Jiang said, pointing at the scuffed up drawing. A strange female sounding voice echoed out the words "Sun Wu-kong".

"You heard that too, right?" MK asked Jiang who nodded. Something happened to the eyes of the drawing of Sun Wu-kong, and suddenly, Jiang's eyes began to hurt. She instinctively blinked and rubbed at her eyes, but when she opened them, she softly gasped.

Everything now seemed to be tinted in gold, small floating orbs were also hanging around and everything was all outlined in gold. Even MK and herself. "Wow. This is incredible!" Jiang said, looking around herself. MK on the other hand, was panicking.

"What's happening?! What's wrong with my eyes?!" He cried. "MK, calm down. We're in the home of the Monkey King himself. There's bound to be some strange things that happen man" Jiang explained. Looking back up at the painting, she took in a sharp intake of breath, making MK do the same when he saw what she was looking at.

The entire painting was outlined in gold, allowing the two to see what it had somewhat looked like before now. And then, glowing images began to circle around the two. "Whoa. That's Monkey King being born from the stone. And when he got his staff from the dragon of the east!" MK said, recognizing everything.

"Those must be the guys he occasionally worked along side with!" Jiang said as she spotted some new people appear. A small sound from behind them made her turn around, and for a second, she was speechless. Standing there, across the room, was the Monkey King in all his glory.

MK was also speechless when he spotted the guy. Giving the two a smirking smile, the Monkey King turned and darted off. "Whoa! Hey, wait up!" Jiang called out, following him.

MK shook himself out of his shock and followed her. "Monkey King!" He called out, managing to keep pace with his sister. The legend up ahead stopped and turned, and for some reason, Jiang got a strange feeling that made her slow to a stop.

MK kept going, however, and reached out to the Monkey King. But, the second MK touched the guy, he faded away, leaving the poor boy in shock. Jiang came forward and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, we'll find him. I hope" she said, muttering the last part under her breath. She spotted what appeared to be a cottage-like house that was placed in the middle of the cavern. The area that she and MK were in was an entrance to the cavern.

Cupping her hands around her mouth, Jiang called out, "Monkey King?!". Her voice echoed around the place, but no one answered. She let out a soft sigh.

"I'm sorry buddy" she said, placing a hand on MK's shoulder. The boy let out a frustrated groan and kicked a rock. "Ugh, what was I thinking?" He said to no one in particular before sitting down and hugging his knees to himself.

Jiang watched as a familiar butterfly went by before crouching down in front of her brother and putting a hand on his knee. "Talk to me MK, what's going through your mind?" She asked. "For a moment there, I thought..." MK started before trailing off with a sigh, burying his head in his arms.

"Mr. Tang was right. I really am delusional" he said. Jiang was about to say something, but then the familiar butterfly from before fluttered over, landing on her hand. Both she and MK looked at it.

"Sup?" The butterfly asked, startling both MK and Jaing. MK full on jumped backwards while Jiang whipped her hand, forcing the butterfly to get off. "Oh my gods, oh my gods, it's a talking butterfly!" She panicking while MK took shelter behind her.

"Yes, yes, it is I, the Monkey Ki-" the butterfly said before MK squished it. "MK! Don't kill the talking butterfly!" Jiang scolded, pulling her brother back. "I am so sorry" she said to the butterfly, who was still twitching a bit.

"Is it dead?" MK asked from where he had taken shelter again behind Jiang. The female gave him a side glaring before looking back at the butterfly, which began to glow. Then, it transformed, morphing into an eagle, then a tiger, then a bear.

Finally, it turned into the very person that Jiang and MK came here for. The Monkey King himself. "M-M-M-Monkey King?" MK stuttered while horror filled Jiang as she realized that MK had just tried to kill the Monkey King.

"Yup. The one and only. So, where's my staff?" Monkey King said, putting his hands on his hips. Before Jiang could answer, MK practically threw himself onto the ground beside her, going absolutely ballistic while apologizing for losing the staff. "MK, brother, pull yourself together. Besides, I was the one who lost the staff due to being an impulsive idiot, not you" Jiang said, exasperated while Monkey King looked like someone who was at a complete loss for what to do.

"Long story short, I, may or may not have, lost, your staff to Iron Fan on the way here due to being an impulsive idiot" Jiang admitted to him while kneeling down beside MK, who finally stopped with the waterworks. Monkey King laughed a bit as he came over and crouched down in front of the two. "I know, I know. Look, I'm gonna come clean. Um, I've been, kinda, watching the two of you" he admitted.

"Wait a minute, so, the bird, and the butterfly that I sketched out..." Jiang said as realization settled in. "Yup" Monkey King confirmed. "Even the ladybug I discovered on my dresser a couple days ago?" Jiang asked.

"That was also me" Monkey King said. "Why am I so flattered yet so creeped out at the same time?" Jiang muttered to herself. "Wait a sec, then that was you who pecked my hand until I was bleeding?!" She cried, holding up her hand which still sported the half healed marks.

"That was all you?!" MK added. Monkey King, who was balancing himself on his tail, burst out laughing. "The looks on your faces. Your both perfect!" He said, pointing the bamboo stick he had at them. "Perfect?" MK asked, sharing a confused look with Jiang.

"Perfect for what?" She asked, looking back at the Monkey King. "To be, my successors!" He said dramatically. "Uh, are you sure your the Monkey King?" MK asked, climbing all over the Great Sage.

"I think he's been couped here for way too long" Jiang said, crossing her arms as she came over to the boys. "I think his brain went mushed up" MK said before Wukong wrapped his tail around the boy to pull him off and placed him back beside his sister. "Listen kids, you've fought demons, and you didn't die. And you made it here. Not just anyone can lift my staff, much less two people. But the both of you did" Wukong said, finding and opening a bag of peach chips.

"But, what about DBK?" Jiang asked. "Pfft, what about DBK? The two of you can handle it! Consider it a trial" Wukong told them, summoning his cloud. "But I-" MK said before sighing.

Wukong looked over and sighed too before coming over to the two. "Look, if you guys can lift the staff, you can use it. Just believe in yourselves. Even a smidge makes all the difference" he said, almost pinching his fingers together for emphasis. MK smiled a bit.

"The staff was taken from you, take it back" Wukong told them. The gears started turning in Jiang's mind as she tried to think of just how to do that. "Alright" MK said.

Jiang snapped her fingers. "I just might have an idea, but we need to get back to the others first. And convince them that we're not dead" she said. "Let's go!" MK cried, and together, the sibling duo ran off, missing the smile that grew on Wukong's face.

The two managed to get back to where they came from, but a new problem arose. "How are we supposed to get back?!" MK cried as he paced at the waters edge. The sound of something banging on metal drew their attention, and the duo spotted a group of monkeys that were jumping up and down on a metal box.

Part of it ended up coming off, revealing one awesome looking ride. And even better, it sat two people. "Ohohoho, yeah!" MK cheered as he got in the front seat.

"Take us back MK" Jiang said with a smile and a giggle as she hopped in the backseat. "Uh, can't be too hard to fly" MK shrugged before pressing a button. After a bit of a shaky takeoff, the plane shot forward through the sky, making MK cheer.

"Alright buddy. You steer. I'll handle everything else" Jiang told him. "Sounds good to me!" MK replied...

"Oh no. What have these bozos done?" Jiang said as she looked over her home. "I don't know, but they aren't getting away with it!" MK snapped. "MK! Our friends! I spotted them!" Jiang cried.

"Hang on!" MK called out before maneuvering the plane so that it went by their friends, who were all shocked to MK and Jiang alive. MK ran into Red Son, who was just up ahead. The poor guy was pummled by the vehicle, which eventually crashed, creating a decent sized crater.

"Aw fuck, that hurt" Jiang groaned as she partially pulled herself out of the wreckage. MK flopped out beside her, panting. "Pigsy? Guys! Your all okay!" Jiang cried the second she spotted them, tears forming in her eyes.

Mei immediately ran up to the duo with tears in her eyes too, hugging them both tightly. "Oh my goodness, we saw you guys get blasted into the fire!" She said before wiping away her tears. "I thought you went poof! B-but your not. Where'd you get the jet? And for you guys to trash it already. Wait! Monkey King! Did you guys find him?!" Mei ranted.

"Yeah, we did" Jiang said with a side glance at MK. "So, where is he?" Pigsy asked. "He said it's up to us" MK stated.

"Well, that's anticlimactic" Mei stated. An explosion close by caught everyone's attention. "Holy shit he's huge" Jiang squeaked out when she saw just how big DBK had gotten.

"And how are we supposed to fight that thing?" Tang asked. Jiang and MK shared a look. "We believe in yourselves. You guys clean the streets. Me and Jiang will stop the Demon Bull King" MK said.

"Somehow" Jiang added. "Yeah, this jet probably would have been really useful" Mei said, kicking the wreckage. Something rolled out when she did and Jiang gawked at it.

It was an awesome looking motorcycle. "That'll work!" Jiang cried as she raced towards it. "Go get him guys!" Mei called out.

MK hopped on behind Jiang's, who kicked the motorcycle into high gear and raced off, easily finding DBK, who began shooting at them when he spotted them. "Jiang!" MK warned. "I know, I see them" Jiang replied.

She moved the motorcycle around, dodging the fiery hot lasers. Then, she raced up a ramp and went airborne. In that moment, MK and Jiang's vision changed again.

"What? Why is everything gold again?" MK asked. Jiang's eyes darted around, and then she spotted the staff. The gold vision went away again.

"The staff! I found it! MK, I have an idea, but your not going to like it" Jiang's said, smiling when she heard MK groan a bit. Landing on DBK's cannon, Jiang drove up his arm and jumped the motorcycle, going into the chest cavity. She didn't really know what happened next, but the next thing she knew, she was floating up in the air with MK.

With a bit of difficulty, she summoned the staff. She and MK let out laughs of relief before a crown formed around MK's head while a halo formed around Jiang's. Together, the two shot down, and punched DBK, throwing him backwards from the sheer force of it. Jiang tossed the staff over to MK and landed on the roof of a tall building.

From there, she watched as MK dodged laser beams and taunted DBK. Then, he enlarge the staff, and slammed one end into DBK. "Hey! My turn!" Jiang laughed out, jumping up into the air.

MK handed the staff over, and Jiang sliced off the top of an entire building. "Okay, here we go!" MK called as he joined Jiang, who had already embedded the staff into the building. Together, they tried to trap DBK underneath it, but he managed to stop them.

"Uh oh" Jiang said. DBK blasted the building away, and landed one hard hit on both MK's and Jiang's bodies, slamming them into a wall. Jiang lightly shook her head in an attempt to clear the ringing in her ears.

"You thought you could stand against me. I am the Demon Bull King! I will not let two little thieves take victory from my grasp!" DBK snapped. Just believe in yourselves. Even a smidge makes all the difference, Wukong's words repeated themselves in Jiang's and MK's minds. Jiang's narrowed her eyes as her hand tightly around the staff while DBK laughed.

"You might have the old fool's staff, but neither of you are the Monkey King" he said. "Your right. We're the Monkey kids" MK told him. Jiang slammed the staff into the ground with all her might, and debris began to fly up into the air, collecting together to form a large metal suit.

Inside, MK and Jiang took their seats. "It's time for you and your family to be brought to justice" Jiang said, grasping the suits controls. "Here comes the Monkey Kids!" She shouted, spinning the staff brought holding it in front of her.

The staff and the suit collided hard with DBK, sending out a shockwave so powerful that it even adjusted a planet in outer space. "Im-possible" DBK groaned. "Nothing is impossible if you just believe in yourself" MK said, sharing a knowing look with Jiang.

"Make no mistake. You just got M.K.O'd!" He added. Jiang looked around at the sound of coughing. "You think this is over?! It isn't over bozos! Why don't you two just get out of that dorky mech and fight me, you cowards!" Red Son ranted before he lost his balance and fell into the crater.

Jiang smirked and reached forward, but a whirlwind appeared before her. "We know when we've been bested. But this won't be the last you see of us, noodle kids" Iron Fan said. Her chuckle echoed through the place, and when the whirlwind disappeared, the entire Demon Bull family was gone.

"What? No! No fair, come on! You can't just run away when we're right about to win!" MK whined. "Jiang! MK!" Mei shouted, making the two pop out of the mech. "You guys totally kicked DBK's butt! Without us the city'd be toast!" She called.

"Heh, yeah" Jiang agreed before she and MK hopped out. "But, you know, we couldn't have done it on our own" she said, rubbing the back of her neck. A threatening presence made itself known, in the form of Sandy's hugs.

"You did it guys" he said, giving everyone a tight hug. "You guys are basically the new Monkey Kings now" Mei added. "Monkey Kids, did you guys say?" Tang corrected with a smile.

"Oho, you did good kids. You did real good" Pigsy praised with a smile as he crossed his arms. "Yeah, we did do pretty well out there" Jiang admitted with a tired look in her eyes. "But, what now?" Sandy asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" Mei asked. "Yeah! Bust up more bad guys!" MK cried, shouldering the staff. "Or, we go eat some noodles?" Tang suggested.

"That sounds good. Cause my gods am I tired" Jiang said, putting her hands on her knees, making her friends laugh. She looked back at the mech to admire what she had done and was slightly surprised when she spotted someone familiar. Wukong smiled a bit at her and bowed a little, and action which she returned, before he front flipped off the mech and turned into an eagle.

Jiang watched him fly off with a smile before following her friends, and family, back to the Noodle shop...
