Commanding the Drone
" Nya, please come to me!" Mia commanded, remote in hand.
The drone, who was activated by voice recognition, swooped down.
" Hello, Mia." She said in a voice that sounded a lot like the water ninja from Ninjago ( hey, I write both Ninjago and this story! I have a right!). " What are we doing today?"
" We are going to go through an obstacle course I designed."
" Isn't that dangerous?"
Mia shook her head. " No, Nya. I made it safe."
Then, she muttered, " At least, for me."
She hopped on and said, " Ready, Nya?"
" Affirmative." The drone lifted off, with Mia clinging for dear life.
" Turn right. Left. No, other left!"
The drone swerved sharply, and soon, Mia was barking orders while hanging like a kite string!
" We're here!" Mia exclaimed, climbing back on.
" What shall I do?" Nya asked.
" Just follow my instructions."
" Okay." Nya's fans started spinning, and they lurched forward.
" Up!" Mia exclaimed, seeing the first obstacle.
Nya obeyed.
" Down!"
" Up!"
The first few were easy, and they were almost at the end.
Then, chaos.
A flock of birds were flying straight to them!
" Nya! Down!" Mia yelled, shielding her face.
Nya went to the side, but they hit a lamp pole, and they went spinning into a tree.
" Pppht!" Mia spit out leaves which had come into her mouth. " Nya, are you okay?"
" Yes, I'm okay. How about you?"
" Good." Mia backflipped out of the tree, and Nya caught her. " Now, let's go back."
But, as they took off, a heavy wind pushed them back.
" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Mia screamed, gripping onto the railing. "
The drone wobbled in the heavy wind, sending Mia and Nya spiraling towards the lake below. "Nya, stabilize!" Mia shouted, but the drone's engines whined in protest as they plunged into the water with a huge splash.
Mia emerged from the lake, drenched but determined. "Okay, Nya, we're going to need some backup. Call Clemmons."
Nya beeped and activated the call. Moments later, Clemmons answered, his voice echoing with the sound of running water. "Hello?"
"Clemmons, I need help!" Mia yelled into the drone's speaker.
Clemmons sighed, clearly annoyed at being disturbed during his bath. "Mia, what did you do this time?"
"I'm in the lake! Get Allen and Buster!"
Clemmons groaned. "Alright, hold on."
A few minutes later, Clemmons, still dripping wet and wrapped in a towel, appeared with Allen, who had soap suds in his hair, and Buster, toothbrush in hand.
"Mia, this better be good," Allen grumbled, trying to rinse his hair with a bottle of water.
"Just get me out of here!" Mia demanded, climbing onto the drone and gesturing wildly.
Buster signed, "Why are you in the lake?"
Mia rolled her eyes. "Long story. Just help me out."
Clemmons, Allen, and Buster waded into the water, working together to pull Mia and Nya out. Once they were all safely on dry land, Mia grinned sheepishly.
"Thanks, guys. That was a close one."
Allen shook his head, still trying to get the soap out of his hair. "Mia, you really need to be more careful."
Clemmons, still wrapped in his towel, muttered, "I'm going back to my bath."
Buster signed, "Next time, maybe let us know before you take off on one of your adventures."
Mia laughed, "Sure thing. Now, let's get home before Mom and Dad find out."
