Personality: When you first meet Persephone she can come off as quite cold and goal oriented. She is very intelligent and not afraid to show it. Persephone can be sarcastic and (overly) confident but deep down it's because she is very defensive. She is very loyal and will go to hell and back to protect the people she loves. However, she is very stubborn and proud so it's hard to get through to the real her but once you do she's really sweet. She is a courageous girl that will do anything to help but does not trust easily. Even when she has a problem, she hates taking help from other people and just does things on her own. Persephone is fearless and is brave enough to stand up to even her father which sometimes gets her into trouble. Her heart is in the right place and if she feels someone's being treated unfairly she will do something about it.

Likes: She loves music and reading and she absolutely loves animals. She won't admit it but she likes physical affection. She believes that if you care about someone you should show it. She loves blueberries and sunsets. She likes pinky promises and going outside at night to look at the stars. Persephone adores cats and has a few of them around the castle. She is very good at archery and likes to practice her aim however perfect it may be already. Likes to climb trees.

Dislikes: Persephone doesn't like thunder/lightning storms. She doesn't mind being alone but she hates being lonely. She dislikes dishonest people, lies, annoying people and people who break any promises they have made. She can't stand being ridiculed or underestimated, specially her father or brother.

Backstory: Having been born first granted Persephone no advantage in life since she was still a twin. Her father, having wanted a son for a long time, feared that his firstborn may not be a future king so, shortly before the twins' birth, he changed the law that allowed the firstborn to become the heir with the excuse that twins should have the same right to become the heir.

Persephone was no stranger to her father's intentions but she soon learned that her wit and skills were something even the king couldn't ignore, even if he tried very hard. While her mother and maids tried to teach her the best ways to live her life as a princess, Persephone was out making allies and solving political issues from a young age, earning her father's respect soon enough.

Persephone always mentored her younger brother but never really got used to her sister's personality. She still loves her a great deal but they're not as closed as they used to be when they were younger.

She's not very fond of the idea of the selection because she knows she is more than fit to run the kingdom by herself and doesn't need a king by her side. However, she knows that the king would never allow her to be the heir if she didn't have a suitable partner so she is taking matters into her own hands and making it her priority to find someone suitable.
