WHEN NIKI CAME TO, her mind raced. Where was she? Were Lia and Jax okay? She groaned as she slowly sat up. Her eyes scanned her surroundings. Rachel. She got up, standing tall as she searched for the blue-haired girl. But she was nowhere to be seen. As she began to walk she searched for a familiar face, she heard groaning coming from the side of the building. Niki looked over the side of the building. It was Dick pulling himself up and over the side of the building. "Where is she?" he asked as he approached Niki.

"Where do you think? As much as I want to argue with you right now isn't the time." Suddenly it dawned on both of them that they had both seen Dawn and Jax flew off the building. Together they ran to the other side of the building, looking down. Niki's hand flew to her mouth when she saw Dawn. "By the Gods." Dick ran to the stars as Niki's eyes finally landed on Jax who groaned as he slowly got up and knelt beside Dawn.

Jax suddenly felt a heavy weight on his shoulder, as his heart dropped to his stomach. He had jumped after her hoping to land her fall but he was too late. The guilt was slowly eating him alive. When Dick reached him and Dawn, he was at a loss for words. He'd seen Jax laying next to Dawn, unharmed but Dick didn't have the time to try and figure it out.  Dick looked down at the blonde, "Dawn. Dawn. Talk to me, you're going to be okay. You're going to be okay." Dick said as he brushed her hair back. She'd been trying to spit it out the blood but any move could risk her chances of surviving.

Niki had finally reached the end of the stairs she ran over to Jax and pulled him into a hug. He was okay. As her eyes finally landed on Dawn, they fluttered shut. "I tried to catch her but I was too late," Jax said.

After the ambulance drove away with Dawn and Hank, Niki turned to Dick. "If it weren't for Rachel we would've left already. I don't understand you want to protect her but you'll do whatever it takes to get rid of her. But here's the thing she needs to be protected by someone like her and to be fair humans like you, Dawn and Hank only put her in danger. "

"I know I screwed up but who's to say that you won't put her in danger. Your strangers." Dick argued back.

"So are you.  Why should we trust you to protect Rachel when you're just another pity mortal?" Jax said as he stood protectively in front of Niki.

"Stop! I've had it, can you three grow the fuck up? Because by arguing we're letting them get a head start. So grab your things we need to find Rachel before they get to where ever they're taking her." Lia said as stepped in between them.

Niki sat in the front seat of Dick's car as they drove to a gas station where Rachel had last been seen. The car was silent as Jax glared at Dick from the backseat. Lia rolled her eyes. This trip was going to be awful. Finally, Dick cleared his throat. "What are you? I first assumed you were metahumans but something tells me otherwise."

Niki sighed, "We're not the only ones keeping secrets. And until you're honest with us then we'll be honest with you." Dick was a bit taken back. "It doesn't take a genius to see the way you carry yourself. It's as if you're hiding something you're ashamed of." Niki said as she looked out the window as they pulled into the gas station. "Stay in the car," Dick said before stepping out of the car. Not even five minutes passed before Dick was back in the car. He reached over the passenger seat and pulled out a tablet. The brunette pressed a black object to the tablet. "I got the camera footage." He said as he leaning over the center console.

They all watched as Rachel was walked to the bathroom and then walked out with a red-haired woman. Dick zoomed in and took the license plate. The detective sighed as he brought the tablet closer to his face as it scanned his eye. Niki smirked, Dick was the type of guy to pretend that he didn't have a secret and here he was using his eye to access his own tablet.

They pulled into a roller-skating rink. "I think you guys should stay in the car," Dick said.  "Considering you tried to leave without us I think one of us should go with you. My vote is   Niki." Lia said. Jax sent Lia a glare, "What she's the mom of the group. Supportive and always knows what to say so you can calm down."

"Fine with me," Niki said. She looked over at Dick, who simply nodded. They both got out of the car and headed inside. When they stepped inside they spotted the redhead Rachel had left the gas station with. But before they could plan anything Dick was already making his way to the redhead. Niki sighed and scanned the room and spotted the blue-haired girl playing an arcade game. She quickly walked over to the teenager. "Hey, Rachel."

"Niki?"

"So heads up you're not going to like who I am here with," Niki said. "Hey, come on. We're going." Dick said. "What are you both doing here." the teenager asked.

"Now's not the time, okay?"

Niki sighed, "Please Rach, we just want to help."

"Why are you here?"

"Can we talk about this somewhere else? Let's go." Dick said as he leads the way out of the rink. As they walked out Niki wondered if this was the way Bruce Wayne had raised him. Although he wasn't her father or trying to be, he was still taking responsibility for her. "Rachel, we gotta get you somewhere safe."

"Do you know who sent that weird family after her?"

"Who the hell are you?" Dick asked

"I don't know. But somehow Rachel's the key to me figuring me out." The redhead said.

"Is that why you kidnapped her?" Dick asked.

"She didn't kidnap me. She saved me. How's Dawn?" Rachel asked "Rachel--" Dick began. Throughout Niki's time with Dick, she had noticed many things. One being that he found it hard, to be honest, and right now that was exactly what Rachel needed. "I read what happened online. Is she gonna be okay?"

Niki sighed, "We don't know. All we can do right now is keep you safe and hope that she'll make it." The trio walked side by side as the redhead followed after them. "Who's Dawn?"

"I really can't talk about this right now, okay? The cops are looking for you. They think you killed your mom." Dick explained

"That's news."

"I may have failed to mention."

"And they're looking for you, too. Assault on multiple officers. Arson. And not to mention kidnapping." Dick informed the redhead. "Like I said, she didn't kidnap me, she saved me. When you didn't."Rachel argued.

"Hun, we know that. But it doesn't look that way to others." Niki said. "Well, that's technically true. Dick."

"Gee, that's a new one."

Niki finally turned her attention to the redhead. "Look thanks for saving her but we can take it from here." Rachel looked at both and Dick and Niki. "I'm not going without her."

"Mmm. What she said." Both and Niki and Dick sighed. "Can you please tell me what the hell is going on?" "You left me, Dick."

"No, I didn't."

"You might as well have. You were going to."

"Rachel, I wasn't."

"I read the note."

"Look--" Dick began only for Rachel to interrupt him. "You were just gonna leave me with them?"

"I just needed time to figure things out," Dick explained. "Stop."

"Rachel" Dick begged. "Stop lying!" Rachel yelled in her demonic voice which caused all windows to burst and the car alarms to blare which caused both Jax and Lia to walk over to the three. "I need to go back to the sisters!"

"Okay. Okay. Come on, let's go" Dick replied. As they walked over to the car, "Next time we're bringing our car.z' Jax said as he, Lia, Niki, and Rachel all squeezed into the backseat of Dick's car.

Both Dick and Niki found themselves in the chapel. Niki had never been in church or chapel. It seemed stupid to even step foot into one considering she knew the truth about the Gods or more so half the truth. Just because she knew about her father and his family didn't mean that other Gods didn't exist. Jax was keeping an eye on Kory and Lia sat with Rachel.  Lia watched as Rachel gribbed the bible tightly. Lia turned to look at Niki, wishing she could tell Rachel that she understood her. Lia kept imagining the different ways she could tell Rachel that at one point in time she hated and feared her father. As she opened her mouth, Dick walked over and asked to talk with Rachel. Lia nodded and got up from her seat before making her way to Niki.

"I think we should tell her."

"I know you want to help her but we don't even know what we're dealing with. I think we should wait but I'll think about it. I am going to go check on Jax, keep an eye on her will you?" Niki asked and Lia nodded in response. Niki walked past the nun. Lia stayed in the back of the chapel. If the Latina was honest being in a chapel didn't feel right. Felt like she was unwelcome but she pushed the feeling aside as Dick made his way out. She got up from her spot and took a seat next to Rachel. "You know he means well right. I just don't think he knows what to do or how to show it." Lia said as a nun came over and with to mugs and sat next to them. The nun handed both girls a mug. "Is it okay to drink in here?" Rachel asked.

"Oh, I won't tell if you won't." Both Lia and Rachel began to take a sip of their tea. "Feeling better? Your friend said you needed some time" she asked.

"Yeah. Thank you, sister." Rachel said and Lia murmured a thank you. The nun showed the girls a doll, "You slept with her every night. Oh, this is just so unexpected. Seeing you back here. Truth is we should never have let you go in the first place. But you're safe here. And you always were" she said as wrapped an arm around Rachel. Rachel yawned and rested her head on the nun's shoulder. A yawn escaped Lia's mouth. "You both must be so tired"

Lia nodded, "I guess we've been so worried about Rachel that I didn't realize just how tired I am." She said before slowly beginning to drift off.

A few moments later Lia began to stir awake. As she began to move she felt something tight holding her down. She'd been tied down to a gurney. As she finally began to come to, the second her eyes filtered open they adjusted to the light. Lia could hear the wheels of her gurney and the wheels of another. a few feet behind her. "Rachel!" Lia screamed

"What happened?" Rachel asked. Rachel's voice was too far for Lia to keep up with her conversation. As she struggled with her restraints a door was opened. "Let me go!" But the nuns rolling her kept praying and ignoring her. She couldn't focus on her powers over the praying of the nuns. Lia was wheeled into the room shortly followed by Rachel. "Would you shut up!' The Latina screamed at the nuns, she kept trying to listen to Sister Catherine who had just wheeled Rachel into the room.

"For the love of everything holy shut the fuck up!"Lia yelled as the nuns began to leave, that's when the Latina noticed that there was a glass divider between her and Rachel. Now that she was alone. She brought her hands up to touch the binding holding her down, heat began to radiate from her hands as flames engulfed her hands. The fire burned through the bindings. "By the Gods," Lia mumbled under her breath as she sat up. "Sister?"

"We all must make sacrifices, child. Let's go."  Sister Catherine said as the nuns walked out of the room locking the door behind them. Lia watched as Rachel hurriedly got out of bed and ran over to the door. "No!" she yelled as she banged on the door. Lia reached for her legs, the sisters weren't playing games with the tying. They had tied her down at the chest and at the legs. As she burned through the binding at her legs she heard Rachel still banging on the door.

"Somebody, let me out, please! No!" A now free Lia walked over to the glass if she focused hard enough maybe she could melt the glass. Lia rested her forehead on the glass, palms pressed firmly against the glass. She closed her eyes and let the heat consume her body. She'd never done anything like this so she knew it was going to be a while before she could be on the side with Rachel. First, her hands were engulfed with flames. It took a few minutes before her hands went through the glass. And just as she made it to the other side an ear splintering scream came from Rachel. Lia had never seen Rachel like this in person. The only time was when she had first seen the pictures of Rachel.

Rachel's scream caused the room to shake, strong enough for the walls to come down.

Somehow both Jax and Niki had ended up following after Dick when Kory had stolen his car. They pulled up to a storage facility, quickly the trio spotted Dick's car. "Hey! You stole my car. I like my car."

"How did you find me?"

"There's an app for that. This place yours?" Dick asked as he, Niki, and Jax stepped into the storage room. The walls were covered in news articles, pictures, notes in languages that Niki didn't recognize. One of Niki's many gifts was knowledge and she'd used to learn just about every language in the world.  "Think so," Kory said.

"How long have you been looking for Rachel?" Jax asked as he walked around. "A few months, I thought."

As Niki examined the paper covering the wall, "Seems to me, like it was a lot longer than a few months."

"You think?" Kory asked as she watched Dick begin to look through the articles on the wall. "You recognize this language?" Jax asked Niki as Dick took pictures of the walls. "This yours too?" Dick asked as he pointed at the papers Jax was talking about. In response, Kory read from the paper. "What does that mean?" Dick asked.

"I have no idea."

"Where did you say you were from again?" Jax asked.

"I didn't" As all four of them went through the papers on the wall Kory spoke up, "Raven is the first species of birds to be mentioned in the Torah."

"A man came after Rachel. He had a raven tattoo on his back." Dick said. "In Greek mythology, ravens represent bad luck and are usually associated with Apollo the god of prophecy. What if under all this stuff is a prophecy that Rachel is somehow a part of." Kory nodded, "Rachel's birthday, the mortality rate spikes every year on that day. Ever since she was born, over 200,000 additional dead worldwide. I think Niki's right, I think Rachel's part of a prophecy. She's the destroyer of worlds.

Suddenly everything began to shake. They all ran out of the storage room. As they looked around they spotted a black smoke,  "Rachel" "Lia" both Dick and Niki said. The sky filled with crows.
