How the Legend Kids Saved Christmas
So, this is a Christmas special concerning some of my second generation Legends of Tomorrow ocs. In which the Legend Kids must save Christmas! Enjoy!
Laurel Snart walked into the Rory-Palmer house hold without even knocking. In the living room she found her brother, Kaleb, his boyfriend, Ryan Hall, Jordyn Jackson (JJ), Catriona Stein, Ben Heywood, and Ethan Rory-Palmer.
"Hey, losers!" Laurel said.
"Sup," Ben replied. They had an Xbox controler in their hands, playing some violent video game with guns and what not. They were wearing a sparkly, pink tank top and skinny jeans, indicating they were feeling more feminine today. Their purple hair was safely tucked under their black beanie they always wore.
JJ was sitting on the arm rest of the couch, spinning a basketball on her index finger. She wore her usual attire - a black t-shirt, basketball shorts, and tennis shoes. Her black hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail. She nodded at Laurel as she walked into the room.
Ryan and Kaleb were snuggling on the couch. The two were wearing matching rainbow shirts, never failing to let everyone around them know they were extremely gay for each other. Ryan's brown hair was combed over neatly, and Kaleb's blonde hair had many products in it, giving him the ultimate homosexual look. They waved at Laurel.
Catriona and Ethan were on the floor, playing chess. Catriona was dressed all girlly, girl like, as usual. Her light brown hair was put up in a French braid behind her head. She wore a bunch of makeup, the way heterosexual girls do, a blue crop top under a jean jacket, skinny jeans with holes in the knees, and blue converse. On her wrists she had at least fifty bracelets all together, and dangley ear rings hung from her ears.
Ethan was wearing a t-shirt with a nerdy reference only he and Catriona would understand on it, jeans, and tennis shoes. Nothing fancy. He was a male, heterosexual, genius, and therefore he didn't care about his clothes as much as the others did. (He and JJ were really the only ones who didn't take forever getting ready in the morning.)
Laurel herself had pulled her blonde hair back into a tight pony tail. She was wearing a red and green elf outfit with pointed shoes, fake pointy ears, and a goofy hat.
"What are you wearing?" Ethan asked.
"Well, Ethan, I'm glad you asked!" Laurel grinned. "As you all know, Christmas isn't coming to Central City this year, due to an accident down at city hall and all the toy stores burning down..."
"Yeah...that's really upsetting," JJ pouted.
"I was so looking forward to going Christmas caroling," Ben said. "I was gonna force you all to do Roudolph with me!"
"What? No! If anything we'd do Frosty the Snowman!" Ryan protested.
"Guys I think you're missing the most important thing here," Kaleb said. "No one gets any presents!"
"The horror!" Ethan gasped dramatically.
Catriona shrugged, not really caring. "Actually, my family doesn't celebrate Christmas, but I got the coolest stuff for Hanukkah."
Everyone looked at her. She looked back at them. "I mean, I'm with you guys," she said quickly. "Boo. No Christmas."
Laurel leaned on the wall. "Anyway," she said. "We're going to help the jolly man in the red suit save Christmas in Central City!"
"Um, you do know he's not -"
Ethan's sentence was cut short, when the Flash zipped into the room with a gust of wind and yellow lightening.
"Oh," Ethan said. "That jolly man in the red suit."
The Flash waved. "Hey guys!" He had a massive bag of presents slung over his shoulder, the way Santa Clause was depicted.
He put the bag down, and Laurel started sorting through the gifts. They were already wrapped and labeled with a child's name on it, along with an address to which the presents needed to be delivered.
"Where did these come from?" Ryan asked.
"Uh...the future?" Barry shrugged.
"Oh! Cool!"
"Okay, gang!" Laurel said. "We'll take the Waverider and deliver presents to the kids on the east and west sides of Central City. And Flashy here will take the north and south sides of Central City!"
"Okay! Let's do this shiz!" Ben yelled, grabbing a box and running out the door.
The Legend Kids stood in front of the Waverider, bundled up in their coats and scarves, as snow sprinkled down on them.
"Um, I know you Snarts have a thing for the cold," JJ said. "But some of us prefer not to freeze to death. So, why are we just standing here waiting to get hypothermia? Let's go in!"
"But you haven't seen the coolest feature yet!" Laurel grinned, taking out a remote.
"Oh gosh..." Catriona groaned. "What does that do?"
In response, Laurel pressed a button on the remote. Within seconds, the Waverider was transformed into a big, red sleigh.
"Oh my, jeez," Ben grinned. "That's great!"
"Right?!" Laurel grinned back.
Kaleb dumped their bag of presents into the back of the sleigh and climbed in. "What about the reindeer?" he asked.
Laurel pressed another button on her remote, and the sleigh projected holographic images of twenty reindeer pulling the sleigh.
"Sweet!" Ryan grinned, climbing in next to his boyfriend. The others followed his example, and once everyone was settled comfortablely, they took to the sky!
"So who's first on the list?" Catriona asked. She went through the presents, searching for the first kid's present.
"Sarah Crawford," Laurel said. "She asked for a really big hat."
Catriona pulled out the box with Sarah's name on it and tossed it to Kaleb. Laurel flew the sleigh to the house, landing on the roof.
"Um, you think we're going down the chimney?" JJ scoffed.
"Well, duh!" Laurel said. "We can't use the front door! We have to do this thing right, JJ!"
JJ rolled her eyes. "Fine! But they better have milk and cookies!"
The team walked over to the chimney. One by one they slung their feet over the edge and slid down, like it was a slide in the park....thankfully the Crawford family didn't have any fires going.
Quickly, the Legend Kids set to work, tossing the presents under the tree, stuffing candy in the stalkings, going through the Crawford's fridge for milk and cookies....
When their job was done, the Legend Kids stared up at the chimney. They were already covered in soot from the way down. It would be a struggle to climb back up, and they'd get even more dirty.
"Yeah...nope. Not doing that again," Ethan said, walking towards the front door.
"Me neither," JJ said, following.
"Agreed," Ryan nodded. All the Legend Kids walked out the front door.
It was nearing midnight, and the Legend Kids had nearly finished all their rounds. They only had one more house! The bag was almost empty, which they were glad to see....but their sleigh was almost out of gas! Seriously?! How does a time traveling sleigh run out of gas??
"Guys!" Laurel yelled dramatically. "We're gonna crash!!"
"AAAAH!" The Legend Kids screamed, as their sleigh went down....it wasn't as bad as they made it out to be, though. It was actually a very gentle landing. They were just dramatic little shits.
"Well, what now?" Ben asked. "We can't deliver presents if we can't get around!"
"Uh...we need gas!" Kaleb said.
"Where are we supposed to get gas for a time machine from the future?" JJ asked.
Laurel looked across the street with a devious smirk on her face. "I've got a better idea."
The other teens followed her gaze. Ben broke into a mischievous grin of their own. "Brilliant!"
Laurel pressed the button on the remote, getting rid of the holographic reindeer. She then proceeded to climb out of the sleigh and walk across the street, where there was, conveniently, a petting zoo.
The blonde girl look around, making sure she wasn't about to be caught, and then she opened the gate to the petting zoo, letting eight, live reindeer free to roam the streets.
"Oh my gosh," JJ groaned.
"Guys! Help me tie them to the sleigh!" Laurel called over to the others.
Catriona burst into laughter, as her friends ran to round up the reindeer, brandishing harnesses and rope.
It took an hour, but the Legend Kids finally had the reindeer securely tied to the sleigh.
"Okay! We got this!" Laurel grinned.
"No we don't!" Catriona said.
"Shush!" Laurel grabbed the reins and flicked them once. Immediately, the reindeer took off at full speed, dragging the sleigh behind them at an alarmingly fast pace.
"Woo!" Ben yelled, throwing their hands in the air, like they were on an awesome rollercoaster.
The sleigh almost tipped over, when the reindeer drug it over a hill.
"Ah! We're gonna die!" JJ screamed.
"Well...you might!" Ryan grinned cheekily. "But I'm a meta human who cannot die...soo.." JJ whacked his arm.
Laurel did her best to keep the reindeer under control. They didn't seem to be slowing down at all, and they were getting increasingly close to their destination.
She pulled back on the reins, like one might do when riding a horse, but their was too much weight, too much ice on the ground. There was no way they'd be able to stop in time.
So, Laurel did the only logical thing. She grabbed the bag of toys and yelled, "Jump!"
Without waiting for a response from her team, she lept off the sleigh, landing in a massive pile of snow outside the last family's house. Her team landed next to her several seconds later.
The sleigh went on, only stopping when the reindeer crashed into a tree. The lights to the house turned on. Evidently, the family had heard the crash. The parents opened the front door, still in their pajamas, looking absolutely befuddled. The kids squeezed past them, wanting to see what was going on themselves.
Laurel laughed awkwardly and held up the bag of presents. "Merry Christmas..."
