Jesse's P.O.V

(Y/n), our (A/t) friend & myself were getting ready for the first mission. (Y/n) was eating, our (A/t) friend, who was called Nora, was looking at their wispon. We stayed silent until Olivia & Knuckles finished speaking to Harper & her friend. 

I just looked back at Petra. I really wanted to race to her and hold her close. But they don't know it's us at this moment. So we had to stay low.

But that's when we got a notice.

"Everyone! We have an announcement." Olivia announced.

"We just received some incredible news. Sonic and Mystery are alive!" Knuckles told us.

"No way!" Silver shouted. We were all in a bit of shock. I was glad they weren't dead and I was also happy that I'd be able to see Sarah. I wonder what has happened to her. She may look completely different.

"That's excellent!" Petra celebrated. I can tell she was thrilled with the news.

"What?! Oh, thank goodness!" Amy Rose sighed in relief.

"I knew it! I knew it!" Raven told Petra and Lukas. Silver then added.

"Of course! It's Sonic & Mystery we're talking about! I didn't doubt them for a second!"

Amy & Raven just glared at them before returning to their happy, cheerful selves.

"They're captured in the orbiting prison. Our spies there say they're in a solitary confinement cell, and they've been torturing them for months." Knuckles said, anger present in his voice.

"And also they succeeded in a recent experiment on Mystery. They have no more knowledge about that yet." Olivia continued. 

An experiment? They had the time and mindset to do that to our friend? To be fair, I have seen worse. I was nearly killed a bunch of times. I just hope she wasn't in any pain due to the experiment.

"That's horrible!" Amy yelled.

"We have to rescue them!" Raven stated. The pair definitely wanted them alive and in their sight. I also just noticed we were also missing Radar. Raven must miss him too.

"Plan's already happening, you two. I've got a squad on the way to the Space Port in the Chemical Plant to ''borrow'' a shuttle." Knuckles informed them. "Come on, guys. Who's up for an old-school style jailbreak?"

We were ready. Operation: Jailbreak. Is now in action.

Sarah's P.O.V

Dear Diary,

I hate Romeo. He wanted to conduct an experiment on me since I arrived. Now I have orange...quills...green eyes...blue shoes and...I look like Sonic. PERFECT! He could change his own body as he was already an Admin. But he wanted to change my body. So Eggman would have more fun shooting TWO hedgehogs into the void that is space. I'm being sent to Sonic's cell now.

It feels odd being a hedgehog. I still have my books. The people holding us captive doubt that a book would do much harm. I just hope that this doesn't cause me to be weaker in any fashion. I was only thinking of one thing.

I hope Sonic still recognises me.

Scarlett's P.O.V

I was being held up by a drone as Tails and I flew across the city. We had luckily survived those few months and I had some food to keep us going. We saw Omega in disrepair. We looked around the area, see no imminent danger and we raced down to fix him. Some time passed and...

We couldn't do it. Despite our best efforts, I guess they have become a bit rusty...

"Hmm, that should've done it..." This stated as he failed to fix Omega. "I couldn't figure it out for you buddy. I'm sorry I wasn't smart enough."

I looked back to see...Chaos walking to us.

"Woah! Chaos!" I yelled.

"Sonic! Mystery! Help us!" Tails cried as we both cowered...nothing happened. I looked up and saw...no...no way!

"Sonic? Mystery?! You're...you're alive!" They were a lot smaller. Hang on. Smaller...oh...

"Wait, what?!" Tails said before realising "Oh! You're that Sonic and Mystery from another dimension, aren't you?"

They nodded. Neither of them had the ability to speak.

"Right, right, right, that makes sense, I think. Do you know how you got here?" I asked.

Seemingly not. They just gave hand gestures and shook their heads. They had no clue.

"Maybe the power that Eggman's using is somehow affecting other dimensions!" Tails stated

"Which might work to our advantage. I mean, everything happens for a reason, right?" I replied.

"We need to save the world. And maybe that's why you're here. To help save the world! Either way, it's still good to see you Sonic and Mystery." Tails stated.

"Heck, it's good to see any Sonic and Mystery!" I replied. "Hang on!"

"What?"

"Why is Mystery ALSO a hedgehog?" I pointed at her. she was like a mismatched copy of Sonic. Weird.

"Yeah...she wasn't last time we saw her. Maybe something happened."

All that they did was some hand movements and a jab on Sarah's right arm. We didn't know what that meant. So we dismissed it. But I noted it into a little book. It may be a bit more important later on.

"Well, whatever happened. Let's go end this war! To avenge our friends!"

Then the pair both gave us a fistbump. Huh. I think we can actually do this.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

Once we were all on the shuttle, we were flying towards where Sonic & Mystery were being held. Wherever that may be. My (A/t) friend Nora looked at me.

"What is it, Nora? What's wrong?"

She signed that she was a tad bit scared. She didn't want to see 'Infinite' again.

"I know. I'm scared too. Not only was he your friend...my brother is there too."

She put a hand on my shoulder to help me calm down.

"Nora...you know why I like your name?"

Her head slowly shook. She didn't know. I knew that. Ever since we met her after falling through that portal. We've protected her.

"It's because...most importantly. You're like the lost family member to me. I know you don't see it. But we know that you have a purpose. I'm going to help you through that."

She smiled at me and pointed at my patch.

"I may not be able to heal right now, but soon I'll find a way. I always do."

She chuckled. She was happy I was with her.

"Come on. Let's head to the others. I think we may get intel any minute now."

We both walked away.
