(Y/n)'s P.O.V

As we slowly got to the base. I walked over to the city, we had 2 hours left. So I had enough time.

"(Y/n)! You made it. I made this just for you." Bismuth said. It was a horn. Just what I needed.

"Thank you, Bismuth. Now, I have to tell you. When I blow this horn, you try to attack Romeo & Infinite. Okay?"

Some of them nodded, others just agreed hesitantly.

"(Y/n)...are you sure about this? This is gonna be a long shot. We may miss." Garnet said.

"No need to worry. If you miss, just join up with The Order. They'll be pleased to meet you. We're gonna need the help."

Six's P.O.V

Soon enough we were all back at base getting prepared for the big battle, The Order were getting their armour on and their weapons cleaned.

That was when Knuckles spoke up. His voice seemed confident but rushed.

"We've got less than an hour until before Eggman's plan goes down."

"There's no more time. We have to break into the fortress now." Shadow told us. His voice was calm and brooding. But to be fair, that's all he ever does.

"Indeed, this is it! Our last chance to bring peace back into the world!"

We were all getting pumped for this final battle, but Tails paused.

"But...when the battle ends, Well have to part with Sonic & Mystery. I mean this Sonic & Mystery. Won't we?" He pointed at the smaller pair.

"Yes, if the Phantom Rubies are gone, I guess they'll be returned to their dimension," Amy said. Raven just nodded. Scarlett then told the smaller pair.

"Thank you for everything, Sonic. You two, Mystery. I'll never forget what you did for us."

"Save the sentiments for later," Espio said and then Ivor added on. "Indeed. This is not over yet. We still have a battle to fight."

"Exactly, this is our last chance. Give it everything you got!"

Raven's P.O.V

We all got to the battlefield, followed by a large group of helpers. Sonic gave Knuckles the heads up. (Y/n) and Six were somewhere else, watching over us. (Y/n) held something in her hand, waiting to use it. Then we got our signal.

"LET'S GO!"

We all charged in, beating multiple clones along our way to meet up with Infinite & Romeo in the middle. Slashing of swords, firing of guns. Sounds of fists hitting against the clones could all be heard. And also screaming. LOTS of screaming.

Sonic & Mystery charged to meet Infinite & Romeo while we followed behind. 

"Hey, Infinite, Romeo. Long time no see." Sonic told the pair and Mystery then gloated. "Did you miss us?"

"Why yes, we did." Infinite told them. Romeo then flew a bit closer.

"We've been looking forward  to finishing you and your annoying friends."

They used the rubies to send us all back. I saw (Y/n) about to blow the horn.

"I trust you're all ready for oblivion?" Romeo finished. Infinite had to add on as a gloat.

"If not. Oh well."

The horn was blown.

 Then what happened next was rather shocking for us all. Infinite was being shot at and a pink shield was thrown at Romeo, followed by arrows, they missed narrowly. Then we saw Omega...and...no. No way. THAT'S who (Y/n) got for reinforcements?! It's the Crystal Gems!

"What?! Who dares?!"

"Target reconfirmed. Extermination mode initiated. Payback INEVITABLE."

"Did we miss the battle? Or are we just on time?" Bismuth asked.

"Omega, you joined us? Awesome!"

"Guys? You're here?! HOW!" Mystery yelled.

"Thank (Y/n). They were the ones who fixed up the bots and called us here."

"Is there no end to these annoying insects?" Infinite asked, groaning at the unexpected reinforcements. Romeo then yelled. "We will burn your resistance to ashes. And you along with it."

They paused. And slowly smirked. They noticed that Six nor (Y/n) were with us.

"There seems to be a couple missing from your team of pests. Did they finally run home with their tails between their legs?" Infinite asked.

I growled. He may hurt us, but no one ever makes fun of my friends.

"HEY!"

"Stop talking about them like that!" Sonic yelled. Mystery added swiftly, as she always does. "You know, they're your friend & family too! They've been trying to get through to you two this whole time!"

"And they haven't backed down. Not even in the scariest of situations!" Sonic finished. We all agreed. Romeo chuckled, amused at our words and pretending to wipe a tear away.

"Friend? Family? Us? Don't make me laugh." They then sent a wave of energy from each of their rubies into the sky. And then...the sun...appeared, ready to crush us all and burn us to a crisp. We all were shocked.

"Woah, you've got to be kidding! That's just a special effect, right?" Knuckles asked, Tails & Scarlett looked scared. They knew.

"No, it's not!" Scarlett yelled. "That is no special effect at all!"

"Indeed! While we're under the Phantom Rubies's control, it's a part of our reality!"

"WHAT?! I have no tech on how this is possible? Garnet? Anything the future holds?" Peridot yelled.

"I can't say for sure. But somehow we need to cancel out the connection!"

Scarlett and Tails overheard what she said and flew off, seemingly knowing where they were headed.

"Unbelievable! What chance do we have against that?!" Espio yelled. We all became nervous the more we looked at it.

"The sun will fall upon you all. BOOM! THE END. Your pathetic lives are over."

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

Six and I stared at the sun, wide-eyed and frozen, not knowing what to do next. We had our Phantom Ruby Prototypes out in our hands. I held her free hand.

"Don't worry, Six. I know we're going to find a way to stop this. Whatever it takes."

She nodded. The rubies began to glow. Huh.

"Look! They're reacting!" Scarlett yelled. "Eggman said something about the Phantom Ruby Prototypes, let us see." Six gave her prototype to Tails while I gave mine to Scarlett. They stopped glowing.

"Woah, it is! He said the Phantom Ruby Prototypes only react to the people who activated it. That must be you two, buddies!" Tails yelled, "Your courage and heroism are probably what triggered it!"

"Just maybe, if you two use these, you can make that sun disappear."

"Are you sure?"

"No. But it's worth a shot, right?" Scarlett finished. I looked at Six. She looked at me. She got her lighting wispon out and so did I. I decided to match. It could be the difference between stopping the sun or getting burnt to a crisp trying.

We raced off to the top of the tower.

"Grr, we made it so far. We were so close!" They're giving up?! WHAT? Just like that?

"This is truly world-shattering."

"Grr! Isn't there anything we can do?" Okay. They trying to find another way. They're not giving up yet, which is good.

"Maybe we need to fight fire with fire." Tails told us through the radio.

"If you two can get close enough to that sun the prototypes should cancel out the effects!"

"You two'll be burnt to a crisp by then! Give it up, rookies! Fall back!"

"We can't lose you again!" Lukas yelled after Knuckles.

"You just got back! You can't die on us now!" The rest yelled. Apart from Jesse.

"Leave them alone! They have this! I know they do! Give them hope, they might have this in the bag!"

It was silent for a while until Petra said: "I guess it's all up to the rookies now."

"The chances of success are minuscule. It's a desperate long shot!" Tails yelled. But I didn't care. If we took that sun out, we'd have the upper hand against Eggman.

"Please, come back in one piece!" Amy yelled. 

"I promise, we will. You can count on it."

We got closer to the top of the tower and Eggman just had to taunt us.

"Hahahaha! Do you think you two can stop the sun? You'll burn up like a moth drawn to a flame. It's over!"

"You're real soldiers now, rookies. You can do this!" Knuckles yelled. Causing us to increase our speed to the top. They believed in us. If they think we could do it. We will.

"Hang in there a bit longer!"

"Show everyone what you made of!"

"C'mon, you can make it!"

"We believe in you!"

"Time to shut Eggman up!"

"If they mess with one member of the Order of the Stone."

"They mess with all of us."

They began to chant our names through the radios and I soon heard all the others in our ranks yell our names too. They believed in us. We made it to the top. Everyone paused. We paused.

"Make peace with your fates, because your lives are now over."

As we hooked to something inside the sun, Romeo teleported to us, about to attack, but I pushed him away as we went past him. If felt like time slowed down. We stared at each other, he looked at us, then the sun, then back to Six and I. His eyes widened as we passed him and into the sun. We felt like burning up. But...we managed to make the sun...disappear.

We...we did it. I overheard on the coms as we fell down.

"The sun, it's gone!" And a whole lot of cheering. We used our wires to glide down and we fell face fust out of exhaustion, the prototype shattering as we hit the ground.

"Impossible! I thought all the prototypes were destroyed!" I heard Eggman yell. Tails & Scarlett flew over to us. Happy to see us okay.

"A costly oversight, doctor. This is why we always check and double-check. As any good scientist would."

Raven's P.O.V

They did it! They actually did it! They survived as well! Jesse was right to believe in them!

"This is the turning point, guys. Time to press our advantage and kick major butt!"

We all cheered. It sure was.

Time to turn the war on its head.

We can do this.
