Nine
First Year,
Wakey, Wakey.
She leapt out of bed, hurrying downstairs, hearing her sister come home, she had a card to give her, while she had one from her friend Cedric. He was a nice boy there was no need to be protective over Phoebe when it came to him. She creased her brows as Phoebe handed her a card, as she opened the envelope there were two cards inside.
"To Rhea,
Merry Christmas, I hope you have a good day.
From Jack"
"How was your new school, I'm still annoyed you couldn't come to my secondary school with me. Have you made any friends or are they, stuck-up private school kids. If you get a chance, we should hang out before you go back to school."
She smiled to herself, Jack was a nice muggle boy that lived down the street. They used to get into lots of mischief before she went to Hogwarts. She bit her finger to try and stop smiling too much, she also made plans to see the Twins and surprise them with her discovery.
"I'm ready when you are uncle Reg," she said waiting by the door he quickly grabbed his coat, showing her outside. He held the portkey out for her, their world spun around them, as their feet landed firmly on the ground.
She looked all around her, a lopsided sign stuck in the ground near the entrance, read THE BURROW. She smiled hurrying towards the house, it looked as though it had once been a large stone barn but extra rooms had been added, until it was seven stories high and so crooked, held up by magic.
With four or five chimneys perched on the top of the red roof. Around the front door lay a large pile of rubber boots as several brown chickens were pecking their way around the yard. She creased her brows never expecting them to live somewhere like this.
"You going to be alright if I get back home?" Regulus asked her, she nodded her head. She took a deep breath walking up to the door, she knocked lightly when she didn't hear anyone inside, she knocked a little louder.
"Hello, here, how might I help you?" a short, kind-looking woman answered the door, she had flaming hair just like her sons.
"My name is Rhea, I was wondering if Fred and George were here,"
"Yes, of course, come inside, it must freezing out there, I'm afraid they're still asleep, not to worry," she held her wand up with a wave Rhea heard what sounded like knocking on at least five doors. She looked around, the home was very cluttered but very welcoming at the same time.
Their older brothers Charlie and Percy made their way downstairs first, they smiled at their fellow house-mate. Then came down two young siblings, she creased her brows never realising they had a younger sister, she assumed they came from a family of only boys.
"You already know Charlie, and Percy I assume, have they told you about Ron and Ginny," she shook her head.
"It's nice to meet you," the young two seated themselves at the table, not paying much attention to their guest.
"Oh, my goodness are they not awake?" their mother questioned as their father walked downstairs
"Mrs Weasley, might I try and wake them up?" Rhea offered,
"Be my guest, if you managed to wake them, I'll be calling you every morning," she laughed nervously hoping they didn't wake up now. "First bedroom on the second floor," she held the parchment in her hands.
"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good," she whispered, as the map revealed itself.
She crept upstairs, as she made their way to their room she chuckled, as she heard them snoring. She slowly opened their door, George was almost hanging off his bed. She kneeled down on the floor, biting her lip as she looked behind her at George.
"Freddie, wakey, wakey," she said, he groaned, rolling over to face the wall. "Freddie," she whispered softly, his eyes snapped open he flipped over.
"What the hell are you doing in our house?" he said, waking George up.
"George gave me your address,"
"To write to us, not visit," George said, sitting up.
"Oh," she said, standing up straight, "Okay, I guess you don't want to know what the parchment is,"
"There's no way you cracked it this quickly," Fred said, turning back over in her bed.
"Oh no, take a look for yourself," she handed them the parchment there eyes widened.
"It's a map of Hogwarts," Fred said, taking a closer look.
"Is that really Mr Filch," George asked, she nodded
"Yes, it is,"
"This is like a prankster, holy grail," Fred said, grinning at the map, imagining all the things they could get away with.
"Mischief Managed," She cast.
"What did you do?" Fred argued as the map returned to plain parchment.
"Just to make sure you hold up your end of our deal," she stated, "I know how to open it, so do we have a truce or not,"
"Yes," George said, he looked at Fred nodding his head at him.
"I hate you, Black," he said, she smirked at him.
"I hate you, too," smiling at him.
"Fine, we have a truce,"
"Good, you can hold on to it, when we're back at Hogwarts, we'll use the map together," she smiled at them as she left their room,
They watched as she said goodbye to their family, and their mother embraced her in a warm hug as she left, she blew them a kiss waving at them. Fred stuck his middle finger up at her, smiling her way, and she did the same right back at him. George chuckled they were so alike that he couldn't understand why they would just be friends already.
