Part 12: To Be or not to Be
When I came to, I stood - or at least tried to. Instead, I floated up. And then I saw them. The entire Council of Gods was in front of me. Well, except for two.
"Where's Jirachi and Arceus?" I asked, regretting what I had just done. It was extremely rude to talk to a God before bowing to them first. "I thought that the Legendaries stay together."
"Jacob, YOU are Jirachi, God of Wishes," Dialga told me. My jaw dropped. No, this couldn't be... Could it? A quick look at myself answered everything. The headdress I wore slipped a little as I looked down.
"Jacob? Where are you?" It was Mark, and apparently, he too had blacked out.
Readjusting my headdress, I turned around and saw Arceus where Mark used to be. "Mark?" I was dumbstruck. Mark and I were both Gods. The Council then bowed down to mark, so I followed.
"Master Arceus. We have been missing a leader for two weeks. If you two took any longer, the Counsel of Gods would have no longer existed. Now, we need your help. There is another group of Legendaries that call themselves the Dark Order. They have a plan to bring chaos to the entire universe." Palkia said seriously. "We need to stop them."
"We will help you" I stated, "But we already have a mission to save a trainer named Red that was kidnapped by Team Thunder and brought to a region called the Yami Region."
When I said the region's name, everybody gasped. "Jirachi, that region is the land of the Dark Order," Xerneas explained. "We simply don't go there, unless if we are at war."
"But I know Red. We all know him." Mew protested. "He is our friend. We must save him!"
"But we cannot go!" Resheraim shouted. "It's too dangerous!"
Mark sighed. "I wish that we could go. You know, save Red." He winked at me. WHat? Oh, right. But was I allowed to grant a God's wish?
"Wish granted," I said. "Who wants to help us save Red?" Everybody was dumbstruck.
"I'll do anything to save Red!" Genesect exclaimed.
"I will guarantee victory will be with us." Victini cried.
"Thank you so much!" Mark sighed. "We leave in three days."
"We could leave sooner," Mew told us. "There is a ship that leaves to that region in two days. And I will come with you, as well. My wisdom is something that you never can get enough of."
"How fortunate!" I replied enthusiastically. "What ship is it?"
"It's a Team Thunder ship. We'll have to stowaway." Mew said.
"I don't like this idea" Zekrom complained. "Many things could happen, and we have already lost two Gods, we don't need to lose four!" A few other Gods and Goddesses started murmuring, and a clamor arose.
"Quiet! The decision is made! They will leave on this mission in two days." Zygarde bellowed. "Meeting Dismissed."

We reached home right as soon as dinner was ready, and went through the back door, where mom was waiting. "Well, then. It's about time you guys got here. Did you have a good day?"
"I guess you could say that," I said, trying on my best poker face. I wasn't even allowed to tell my mom I was a God.
"Yeah. We became-" My mom raised a brow and I quickly nudged Mark on the hip. "Well, we were playing a game. We kinda got carried away, and... yeah."
"Well, you guys have such wild imaginations. You might as well be gods creating a planet." She chuckled at her own joke before continuing. "Come in and eat now." We followed my mom to the dinner table.
"There you are!" my dad exclaimed. "How's your day?"
"Good," I replied, understating my joy and enthusiasm for what happened. "How about You?"
"To be honest, I wish it were better." my dad sighed, frowning as he watched my friend and I sit down at the table.
"Wish granted," I thought. Is this really how things are going to be for the rest of my life? Hopefully not. I don't want to grant everybody's wishes all the time. Did I even have a choice?
"Hey, we have some ice cream. Why don't we have that for dessert?" my mom said as she looked in the freezer for ice cubes.
"Why that'd make my day!" dad smiled. Yup, things were going to be... strange, for a lack of better words. "Let's eat."
We ate for about half an hour, talking about the many things that we did. The dinner consisted of mashed potatoes and gravy, pork ribs, steamed and buttered broccoli, and sundaes for dessert. Finally, after stuffing ourselfs to the point where we could no longer eat, we all went to get ready for bed.
"What do you think about all this?" I asked Mark. "I honestly think that I'll get tired of granting wishes."
"I kind of know what you mean. I'm supposed to lead a council of Gods for goodness sake. I definitely don't know what to make of that."
"Well, Let's get to bed. We'll sort things out tomorrow." I grabbed my golden PokeCore- the normal Pokecore I had was sealed back into its box- and transformed into a Pikachu. Now that I was also a God, I had to think of what I wanted to transform into. I curled up on the bed and went to sleep.
By the time I was half asleep, I realized that something - or someone - was trying to talk to me. "Jirachi." there was a voice coming from my head. "Jirachi, it's time. Time to seek the knowledge that we have." That voice... was it... Dialga? No... it's someone else... It was Mew. Of course, that made more sense since Mew was the God of wisdom. "Come with me."
"Where... Where are you, Mew?" I asked sleepily. "Where to?" I stood up in my sleep and walked towards where I thought the voice came from. Where... Where's Mew...? I walked a little farther and slammed into the door, waking me up. Startled, I took several steps back and landed on my butt.
"Jake...?" Mark said sleepily as he sat on his bed, rubbing his eyes.
"I think I was sleepwalking. I can't remember much besides that. Someone... Someone was... I can't even remember that." I replied groggily as I stood back up and walked up to the bed.
"I'm confused. You never sleepwalk..." Mark said. His head bowed down slowly, then he jolted awake again. "Oh man... I'm so tired."
I got back in bed when the voice came again, but this time, both of us could hear it. "You two really need to come with me." Mew appeared in the middle of my room. "Have haste; we don't have much time."
"Where are we going?" I said, suddenly awake. It was raining outside but since when?
"We need to get out of here as fast as possible. Wake up your parents and leave immediately!" Mew urged.
"Why...? What's happening?" Mark said, standing up. A deafening crack of thunder answered his question, making him jump up in the air.
"It's Team thunder. They're coming!" I said. It was obvious since it's been raining around the time of the appearances of Team Thunder. Wait a second... Team Thunder, thunderstorms? That means... Mew. I have something I need to tell you. It's urgent!"
"Not now." mew replied. "We need to get out!" Mew disappeared when he heard someone banging on the door. I could hear my parents grumble as they headed over to get the door. I had to stop them from opening it.
"Mom, Dad, Don't open the door!" I hissed.
