We all get lonely

At least from time to time

Even the best of us

The most beloved and intriguing individuals

The ones who hold down the entire party

The ones who are the best looking

The ones who make us laugh the hardest

Even celebrities walking down the red carpet in their luxurious outfits

Waiting to go back to their multi-million-dollar mansion and sleep

An exotic pool and luxurious lawn in the backyard

Yes...

Loneliness is just part of the human experience 

We've all experienced it

Perhaps after a romantic breakup

Or the loss of a great friend

Possibly the death of a loved one

It's a natural human response

Dating back to the caveman days

Even they got lonely

Hunting and surviving to make ends meet

It will always be a part of us

But there is a different kind of loneliness

A loneliness that turns you cold

You keep asking people to do things

Reaching out and hoping to connect

Sending them a text

Or leaving a call

Maybe even a voice message

Hey. You want to do something today?

And so you wait...

Not hearing back from them

Or accepting your offer

Okay. That's one person

Maybe they just weren't the right fit for you

So you keep trying

Reaching out to different people

Trying hard to not give up

But there's always an excuse or they can't see you

Time goes by

You start to resent yourself

Hate yourself even

Why don't these people want to see you?

You keep overthinking

Trying to see why

And how you could improve as a person

Trying your best to be good vibes

But it never seems to work out

And you're left wondering what's wrong with you

Because that's genuine loneliness
