Meeting The Neighbors

Few days later, the Blake's had finally settled into the old Victorian home Mr. Blake had purchased. Jonas was nervous, and hadn't left the house the whole time unless accompanied by his father. One mid-morning, Jonas was relaxing on the couch playing on his phone when his father walked in. "Alright son, time to explore your new home." He said, shoving Jonas off the couch. With a thud and a wince Jonas laid on the hard wood groaning. "Why!?!" He whined gently only to get nudged as his father sat down. "Becuase, your not spending your life in our house with such a loving community to see" his father said sternly. Huffing in protest, Jonas got up and stormed to his room to get dressed.

Grabbing a comfy pink v-neck, black jeans and his black hoodie he got dressed. Standing before his mirror, pins in his mouth he messed with some of his bangs before pinning them back with pink pins. Slipping on ankle socks and some high top converse he went down stairs. "I'm heading out! Happy " he said unhappy as he grabbed his phone, money, and house keys before leaving. Sighing gently, the slender boy started walking down the long drive way towards the main road which was not even 1/4 a mile from town. Upon reaching the rode, he glanced around checking for cars and started walking quietly.along the shoulder. "Stupid dad.." He mumbled putting his headphones in.

The road was quiet, not a single car had passed by since he had stepped foot on the blacktop. As he neared a small covered bridge, they had to drive through to get to and from town. Sighing he peeked inside, knowing one car just fit inside and he didn't want to risk getting hit by a car on his first walk here. Looking around he noticed a small path leading down a him to the small stream to walk around. "Damn....I'm gonna get wet.." He groaned as he moved off the road to the path. For the start it was easy, but the lower he got the more the slippery and steep it became. His heart raced a bit, worried of falling and getting hurt. Who would find him if he hit his head on a rock below and pass out? Bitting his lower lip he carefully moved, almost down at the bottom when suddenly he heard a voice.

"Youll fall for sure if you climb down facing the stream" said a calm, yet manly voice. Gasping Jonas slipped sliding some but was able to grab some plants. Looking up along the other side he narrowed his eyes slightly at another boy. He was tall, muscular jock type with short black hair styled nicely. He stood calmly at the top of the other side, hands in his pockets. "Turn around, face the hill." He said gently. Being completely stubborn Jonas almost growled as he narrowed his eyes more. "I'll do it my own way, but thanks" he said rather rudely. Continuing down he watched where he stepped until he finally reached the side of the stream. Hopping onto a rock he crossed his arms, successfully making it his own way. Slowly hopping across the rocks he carefully watched for grime and slick rocks until he reached the other side and climbed up. Which turned out to be far easier then going down. Once at the top, he examined his cloths with a sigh they were wet and a little muddy. "Great.." He groaned not caring anymore as he whipped his hands off on the already dirty pants.

The whole time he was being watched by the boy from before. Looking up Jonas, glared at him "Take a picture it will last longer" he snapped before starting to walk again. It didn't help though, the boy followed. "Your new around here, aren't you?" He asked softly. "My name is Max Williams" said Max. Jonas looked over at him, groaning softly "I'm Jonas Blake. And yeah my dad and I just moved in a few days ago" he said still rather irritated but it wasn't doing anything being rude...the guy didn't leave. Guess by chance he made his first "friend"...great.
