All of the members of Team Jaegers were either extremely shocked, surprised, or confused in what their leader, aka Esdeath, who was currently being treated and fixed by Dante, had said to them to give her such a reaction

"As I just said, my new lover Dante shall replace me as this group leader, so please listen to whatever orders he might give you, unless you wish to visit my torture chambers~"

Esdeath has decided not only to step down from being the leader of her team but also to give such a role to no one else than the legendary hunter himself, who shakes his head with a sigh as he wraps bandages around the general's broken body

"Um, not to question your decision making, General Esdeath, but, uh, but what makes him qualified to even lead this team?"

Run was struggling to understand why the Frozen Soldier would even make such a choice, especially someone they just met and weren't even part of the Empire in any way

"By both beating me and winning over my heart, that's what makes him qualified~"

Esdeath would look at the Stylish Mercenary with loving eyes, even sneaking a kiss whenever he got close to her face

'Don't know if I'm lucky or not?'

Dante was still conflicted about his new situation, the Pro was that he managed to snag such a babe, the Con was that she was a weirdo, though he decided to worry about that later and just take responsibility in taking care of the injured woman for now

"But General-"

"All you need to know is that he is strong and we're all weak, so accept the rules of natural selection and don't make me repeat myself!"

Before Run could protest any further, Esdeath gave a harsh annoyed glare as she made her voice stern and firm, clearly stating that her final decision had been made and would not accept a "no" from anyone, not even bothering to explain why she made the type of choice she just made. All she said was "Everyone gets it."

"... Understood..."

Running sighs in defeat, knowing that voicing any opinion he had would be pointless and fall on deaf ears by the Cold Warrior

"Any other objections?..."

Once the blonde man accepted his place, Esdeath glared the rest of the group to see if they would follow suit, which they did from the looks of it

"We Are Ready To Follow Your Orders, General Dante!"

All the members of Team Jaegers quickly bowed and acknowledged the man in red as their new leader, who could only raise an eyebrow in response

"The weak shall always submit to the strong, just like how I do to you~"

Esdeath looks at her "lover", smiling at him with a cute and innocent smile, which was a weird sight for anyone who knew her past and what she was capable of.

"Um, thanks?..."

Dante decided to say nothing more than that, as he finished up fixing the Ice General's armor, and gave her his coat to cover her body after he was done. She accepted and nuzzled the red coat she had been given, smelling it deeply to keep and remember his scent.

"So, um, how about we just go to bed early today, and, uh, worry about this whole thing tomorrow, ok?"

Dante, who just wanted to end the day and worry about all this another time, suggested calling it a day and letting everyone rest and go to bed

"Yes Sir Dante Sir!"

The entire group listened without hesitation to the Legendary Hunter, who hopes this wouldn't be a permanent thing for him.

"Ok, you guys can rest in my living room then, I'll try to find some spare blankets and pillows."

Dante was about to walk away and give his guest something to help them sleep for the night, but was stopped when the Frozen Soldier grabbed onto his hand

"I can be your blanket and pillow, if you so choose, Dante~..."

Esdeath, who continued to act submissive and wished to be used by her one true love, offered herself to "Keep Him Warm", which made him pause and stare back at her

"... I'll think about it."

And after a moment to think about it, Dante responded with a simple "maybe", which was enough to make the Cold Warrior excited, The Stylish Mercenary then removed himself from this situation and went away to get some sheets and pillows like he said

"Bols!"

Once he was gone, Esdeath turned her attention to the masked man, who tensed up when he was called upon.

"Y-Yes, General Esdeath?!"

Bols stood up straight and was ready to do whatever she might ask of him

"You're in a loving relationship, and are happily married, am I right?"

Though what Esdeath asked of him left him only confused.

"Huh? Um, why yes, I guess you can say that?"

Bols was a little unsure if he was saying the right thing at that moment, as he still didn't understand why he was asked that question

"Good, as the expert when it comes to love, you shall teach me on what it takes to be an excellent lover to my Dante, understood?"

However, once Esdeath did explain why she had asked, all the worry and uncertainty in the masked man vanished, replaced by excitement, even though he acted and looked the part, it was evident that he saw something in the realm of romance

"Oh? Of course! I would be happy to help with that, what would you like to know first?~"

And with that, both Bols and Esdeath wasted no time having a discussion about what it takes to be a good lover and how to handle yourself and others when in love. The rest of the group, who weren't part of the conversation, could only watch in silence.

"... I'm just gonna go read a book or something..."

Run, who was now too exhausted to even deal with it anymore, decided to walk away and do something to keep his mind busy from all of it.

"And I'll be busy eating the rest of the pizza."

Kurome also followed the blonde man's lead, though her reasoning was much different from his, and what she was going to do involved both cookies and pizza.

"Sooooo... What do you think of our Leader of the Jaegers?"

All that was left were Wave and Ubiquitous, neither of whom had anything better to do; they didn't know what to make of the situation either.

"Well, I trust General Esdeath's judgment, if she thinks he's worthy enough to fight for the sake of Justice with us, then I have no complaints."

Though from what Seryu said about the situation, she was one of the few who didn't mind the changes, clearly having complete faith and trust in her team to make the right decision

"I see..."

For Wave, he was honestly still unsure about all this, but since nothing bad was happening to anyone, nor were they suffering in any way, he decided not to worry about it as much, deciding to move on and let fate decide in what happens next

"Wanna eat some pizza with Kurome?"

"Ok~"

Weird Question: Should this be a mixed Verse or no? Like maybe after I do this DMC 3 Arc, everyone goes back to the Empire, which takes place in the same world of DMC, I'm not entirely against the idea, but I won't do it unless you give me some good reasons or ideas on why I should?

(BTW: Do to Dante being stronger than Esdeath, and her having the "Might Makes Right" mentality, not to mention being in love with him, she will listen to him and be very submissive only around him, basically meaning she can only be told what to do by the Son Of Sparda only, and be stopped by him only, not even the King or Prime Minister can make her listen)

/New DMC Ability Or Weapon For Esdeath\

Devil Arms: After killing Cerberus, she gets the weapon instead, since her old one was destroyed by Dante.

(Unsure if it should still take the shape of the triple nunchuck or a new rapier sword?)

Increased Ice Powers: Basically her already insane ice powers get more insane, not only can she spam her time freeze if she wanted to, but even have the power to make her entire body out of solid ice, for extra defense, or out of snow, so that weapons can just pass through her without any injuries, her ice is so cold she can freeze your soul.

(I'm also thinking of giving her some Sub Zero or Gray Fullbuster powers, whatcha think?~)

Devil Trigger Maybe?: Or would it count as Danger Beast Trigger? Since her abilities come from her "Demon Extract", maybe we can use that to give her a new form and power increase, maybe?

(And each time she transforms, her entire surrounded would become winter, changing the whether and making it become soft snow or very harsh blizzard)
