"Sooooo..."

Dante didn't really expect to be friends with the people he had saved, even though he brought a few boxes of pizza for them, but at least he thought he would be given a chance to explain himself. Most of them were awake and had murderous intentions on their weapons.

"No pizza anyone? Or~..."

But despite being in a situation that was a bit unfavorable, Dante didn't seem all that bothered, and even went on being all carefree about it, though that only earned all their weapons being shoved or aimed close to his face

"Bols, Seryu, make sure to protect and possibly escape with our General if things go south."

The one who spoke up first was a young man with fair blond hair and golden eyes. He wore a white robe on top of a black shirt and pants with a brown belt, a feather pin behind his left ear and a collar-like accessory on his neck. Though what stood out the most would be his large white wings on his back, which both were aimed at the man in red and defensively blocking the unconscious General behind him. He was known as Run, and while he wasn't the General, he did take charge of the group he was with.

"Understood."

Bols was the one seen wearing a mask, which resembles something from BDSM, and had a gasoline tank mounted on his back for his flamethrower, which he aims at the man in red. He wore long gloves, which served not only to help him when using the flamethrower, but also for protecting him from attacks. He also had three scars on his upper chest.

"No evildoers will defile our General."

And Seryu Ubiquitous, who was also protective over her General, was a young woman with short auburn hair and amber eyes. Her hands and arms, which held two tonfa guns, are metallic in place of flesh due to the heavy body modifications. Her military uniform was typically seen wearing a green coat or dress, sometimes with a white skirt underneath. Not only this, but she also has a weird white dog thing that holds onto her shoulders and is currently growling at the man in red.

"Wave, Kurome, back me up if the situation calls for it."

Once giving orders to the masked man and the military girl, Run glanced at the other two who stood by his side and asked them for help

"You can count on me, Run."

Wave, the one with a large sword, is a fairly-muscular young man of above-average height with short, dark blue hair and eyes. He also has a cowlick. He wears a blue leather jacket and a red scarf with an anchor on it. Under that is a white shirt with a single blue line down the middle. He also wears a pair of grey jeans with a belt and dark blue boots.

"I get to keep his corpse if we kill him~..."

Kurome, who held her long sword, has short, black hair in a twintail style and black eyes. She wears a black sailor uniform and wears a red belt that has a red side skirt cover, with long, black socks and shoes. Her shirt is slightly too short as it doesn't cover her belly button. She also wears red gauntlets.

"And lastly, you."

After the situation was under control and he felt more in line, Run looked back at the man in red with narrowed eyes

"Explain to us why you have us here."

All the weapons were inches away from the man in red. Run, no doubt, was using this to show how serious he is.

"Depending on what your answer is, we might consider you as a threat and be forced to execute you..."

After Run made his threat, everyone around him was ready to make his threats come true. The man in red simply sighed and decided to take his chance to finally speak up and explain everything to them.

"Look, I'm not here to be friends with you all, in fact I understand why you want to kill someone who you think has kidnapped you all."

Dante carefully puts the pizza boxes on the table, making sure to move slowly and not spook anyone

"But trust me when I say this, I'm not your enemy, I saw you falling from the sky, unconscious, and decided to let you stay in my home until you wake up."

To further prove his innocence, Dante took off his red coat, which held his Rebellion sword and his Ebony Ivory guns. He then tossed it far away from himself.

"See, now I'm unarmed and defenseless, I have no reason to harm any of you all, even if I did, I would've done it when you all were asleep, so trust me on that at least."

Seeing how Dante was going so far as to make himself defenseless without his weapons, it did make the entire group reconsider and think that he wasn't the enemy

"He doesn't seem to be lying."

Wave was one of the first people to convince others to think that the man in red was innocent

"The worst kind of enemy knows how to hide behind a fake smile..."

However, Kurome was not easily convinced, still having her sword ready to be used

"In the end, it's up to you, Run, on what we should do next, to either believe or kill him."

Bols was conflicted about what he should believe or trust, and instead relied on the winged man to make the final call. The winged man, too, felt conflicted.

"Seryu, can you use your special scanner to see if this man is evil or not?"

In the end, Run decided to rely on Ubiquitous's judgement, despite her skewed views of justice; she does still know between a criminal and an innocent. She's just very extreme on how to handle them.

"Koro! Number 9-Justice City Detector!"

Once Seryu gave the order to her dog named Koro, the dog opened its large jaw and bit into her mechanical arm, which definitely surprised the man in red who raised an eyebrow. After the unusual animal released her arm, she had a radar-like device attached to her arm. She held it close to her face and proceeded to fiddle with it a bit, being careful and reading it very attentively.

"He's not evil, Sir."

And after reading what the radar said, Seryu gave her final result, declaring the man in red innocent. This was enough to make the blonde man put away his wings and wear a more relaxed expression.

"Please forgive our rude behavior."

As soon as Run did this, the rest of the group followed suit and also bowed their heads in apologies, some more willingly than others, but the man in red simply waved his hands at this

"No need for that, I probably would've done the same thing in your shoes."

Dante sighed in relief to finally have the situation resolved, taking a seat on his couch and eating a pizza slice from one of the boxes, now able to relax without worry.

"Now let's eat, before the pizza gets cold~"

The group became hesitant, even though they were no longer acting like Dante had been an enemy. There was still uncertainty between them, as they did not have a reason to trust him. However, they decided to eat the food that had been offered.

"Wow, this is yummy..."

More specifically, Kurome was the first one to actually try the food she offered. As soon as she did, she immediately went in for second, then third, fourth, fifth, sixth, etc. Seeing how much she was enjoying it, and not dying from it, they decided to try some as well.

"Wow! This Is Super Good!"

Wave was the next person to eat the pizza, and while his reaction wasn't as strong as his partner's, he still loved it and ate it with the same amount of joy

"Interesting..."

While not being as over-reactive as his two members, Run still eats it without hesitation and even seems to enjoy it a little.

"You need to tell me how to make this, my wife and daughter would love this!"

Bols, who had to lift his mask a bit, brought back the overreaction, and he seemed to mention finding and sharing this with his so-called wife and daughter, which made the man in red flinch a bit and tugged at his heartstrings a bit

"It's very delicious Koro, try some!~"

As for Seryu, she seems to like it enough to even share it with her pet Koro, whose dog-like qualities make him eat happily and bark happily, which brought the man in red back to his spirits and made him smile.

"Heh, the pizza wins again~"

Dante felt proud of himself for making peace instead of war with this interesting group of individuals who brought love for pizza rather than violence between each other.

'I bet I would be an amazing diplomat~'

But before Dante could inflate his ego about how amazing he is at diplomacy, while also thinking about getting another slice of pizza, a certain rapier sword suddenly stabbed inches away from his eye

'Oh...'

BTW, it takes place before they meet Tatsumi, but they've been a team for quite a bit at the same time, the time line is a bit messy but hopefully you get the jist of it, mhm~

(I'm still debating if Dr. Stylish should just be dead and out of my way, or maybe become a major villain in some way, like maybe be partner or replace the Scientist in DMC 4, ALSO ALSO ALSO, what's your thoughts on including Night Raid? I might not do it, but I can't help think about it, like maybe some are corrupted and are forced to work under the villains or team up with someone else, but I'm not sure, hmmm)
