Someone was whipping my forehead with water... That felt refreshing... The smell around me sort of smelled like fish, but there was another smell behind it that I really liked  "Link..? You awake?" I heard a familiar voice ask. Who is this..?

I slowly opened my sore eyes and saw the eyes of Ruto smiling down at me. I stared at her smile happily looking at me "you're awake! Oh thank goodness!" My mind was still a little foggy. Ruto... What is she doing here? Where am I? I closed my eyes again and started remembering the time we first met... She was fooling around in the temple under Lake Hylia and the Queen was worried. I actually volunteered to go find her... Ruto was so stubborn that she demanded me to save her. There was a weird monster in the place so I basically saved her life, now she thinks of me as a fiancée because I just decided to do the right thing

My mouth started filling up with the taste of blood again. I started to cry. I don't understand what's happening to me... My head hurts... I feel like I use to take care of someone like this. After thinking that one moment, I screamed from my head pounding like a million stabs. I have to stop remembering things! But I don't even know what I'm remembering!

"Oh no! Link! Hang in there!" Ruto cried as she wrapped her arms around me. I sobbed from the pain and held her tight

"It hurts! Make it stop!" I begged "I can't stop remembering! I have to break the seal! It hurts too much!!"

"Stop remembering" Ben simply said

"It's not that easy! I can't stop!"

"You have time to remember another time... Stop" the painful stabbing went worse and I screamed louder

"Move" I heard Midna's voice demand. I opened my wet eyes and saw Midna staring at me sternly

"Midna..." I cried. She looked behind her to look at a guy wearing a cloth around his head and mouth. He removed it from his mouth and put my Ocarina between his lips "hey..." The guy stared at me with his red eyes. Those eyes... They belong to Zelda's, but they're a different color

"Link" Midna held my shoulders "listen to me very carefully. I'm going to remove the crystal from your head before it goes back in. Relax so you can stop bleeding" I frowned

"How can I relax..? I'm going to die and I won't be able to protect you all..." She sighed and placed her finger on my forehead

"Relax..." She dug in my head like she was going to punch me, though I felt nothing, and removed the crystal from me. All the pain ease for a moment just at the right moment when the guy with my ocarina started playing a song I didn't recognize... It sounded pretty and I can't help but to relax and smile

"Here" Ruto handed me a glass of water and a bowl quietly while the guy continued playing. I gargled my mouth to get the blood taste out my mouth and spit it out the bowl. Ralis came over to take the bowl and gave me a new glass. What is the Royal Zoras doing here? Where am I exactly?

I smiled and looked at my surroundings. There was a man holding a few towels drained in blood walking to the other side of the room while a girl that looked around 13 was staring at me from afar, in front of four other kids behind her. I frowned and drank the water as the guy was done with the song. Midna was without the crystal for who knows how long, I felt better... Sort of, I'm really weak right now and starving

"Meow!" I looked down and saw Bunny standing next to a bottle of purple liquid. More fairy's tears? Midna took the bottle and gave it to me to drink. I nodded and chug it all, feeling like a new man again! Or kid... I'm still hungry

"How are you feeling?" The guy asked. I nodded and picked up Bunny to sit on my lap. My torso was just covered in blood

"You look like you spilled juice on yourself kid" Midna said. I chuckled and looked at the Zoras

"What are you two doing here? Where am I?"

"We're in Kakariko Village" the man said

"Yes, Ralis and I were here to visit mother when we decided to step onto land... Next thing we knew, we were unable to leave" Ruto explained.

"I see..." I looked at the kids staring at me. To look at someone in my condition suffering right in front of them... I'm sure it was terrible to look at. Midna sat next to me

"Better now?" She asked. I nodded and decided to take off my soaked shirt

"what's here?" Ralis pointed at a scar on my collar bone. I held it for a moment

"Not sure... I've been in a lot of fights so..." I chuckled. The guy with my ocarina walked up to me to sit on his knee and handed me my ocarina

"I'm glad you're okay..." He sighed. I stared at his eyes for a long while. No doubt this is her... This is Zelda "here" she handed me my Mask of Truth, a mask that helps me see things the human eye can't see, with a vessel full of tears placed on top "I gathered all these thanks to this cat of yours" I took the items and looked down at Bunny staring at me. I smiled and picked up the vessel "there's still three left. I searched for days but I couldn't find them..." So Zelda is helping me find the tears of light... I'm not surprised... I did ask her to help me. I knew she wouldn't let me down

"Thanks Zelda..." Her eyes widened surprised

"How did you know she was Zelda?" Midna asked. I smiled at Zelda

"How can you not notice?" She looked down and closed her eyes relaxed. The man walked over to hand me a bowl of soup

"Eat son... It'll regain your energy" I nodded my thanks and started eating as slow as I could. This recipe... I looked up at the kids still staring at me and noticed how they were wearing clothes from Ordon... No wonder I smelled Ordon when I woke up

"Hey..." I looked at the kids. They're faces resembled their parents... "You guys really grew up, didn't you?" I smiled "are you Beth, Malo, Talo, and Colin?" They looked at each other surprised before coming over to me

"You know us?" Beth, with the freckles, asked

"Colin's dad told us about a guy name Link, you can't be him, you're too young" Talo, the strong minded one, said

"And don't seem all that tough..." Malo, the quite one, muttered. Beth slapped his arm. I chuckled and looked up to see Colin staring at me

"You must be Colin..." He bit his lips "you're father said nothing but great things about you... It's nice to meet you"

"Are... Are you really Link..? The incredible swords man my dad talked about all the time..?" I chuckled

"Sorry you had to meet me like this, I'm a little bit of in a situation and turned into a kid..." Midna grabbed my bowl and stood and started spoon feeding me

"Stop talking and eat! You still gotta break that seal! Now hurry up!" I ate my food she was feeding me, even if I tried taking back the bowl, she continued treating me like a child. Zelda giggled and sat next to me to pet my head. I blushed and smiled as she held my hand. I could feel jealously burning in front of us. Seriously Ruto...

"Ahh!!" Beth screamed. Everyone turned her way and screamed along with her before running to a corner

"What? What's wrong?" I asked, standing up

"Can't you see it?!" Talo screamed while pointing at the floor "it's that insect!" Insect..?

"It seems only people stuck with the shadow are able to see it..." Zelda said. I picked up my sword and put on my Mask of Truth

"Link, you're still resting" Midna said

"Don't care, I can do that after I'm done with my mission" the mask of truth revealed three dark insects that possesses the light from the spirits. I stabbed one easily on the floor, jump kicked one to slam on the wall before I sliced it, and stabbed one flying in the air. All of them curled in a ball and released their light. The kids cheered for me. I chuckled and grabbed the lights so I can put them on in the vessel and felt my body glowing before I appeared in front of a spring...

The light spirit of the spring became a strange looking owl of the sorts and started down at me. "My name is Eldin" my jaw dropped amazed. This is the first time in forever since I've seen Eldin... I didn't even approach it to promise aid, Zelda did in my place.

"I know that already" I chucked "nice to see yah again" I lost balance and fell on my butt. I lost a lot of blood, I better rest for a bit "please Eldin, Lanayru told me you can give me another one of the sacred flames of the goddesses... I have to break the seal!"

"O great hero chosen by the gods..." I blushed "if you plan on breaking the seal, remember of the consequences that will happen... Not only will it lift the misfortune of the ones who suffered within it, but it will give Ganondorf the ability to use his Triforce of Power" I started shaking "I will give you the flame... But you must make sure you are ready when you have all the flames... When you get the flames... You can find the Master Sword. And with the Master Sword... You may break the seals" seals?

"Like... There's more than one?"

"In some ways... Yes. But you mustn't worry about that now. Focus on the seal blocking your memory. Because you are having second thoughts about being a hero, that seal of yours have cracked, making the magic stronger and its able to kill you... That seal was made to prevent you from remembering and keeping you from believing you're a hero. Don't think nothing of the sorts, you're not a hero" I sighed in relief and disappointment. Though... It sounded like it was lying "you're only you for now... After absorbing the flame within the golden ring, go to Faron Spring and take in the flame after saving the province's light... But... Before you do that... Go to Ordon Spring" I blinked confused

"Why-" red flames suddenly appeared around us. I shut my eyes, knowing the flame was going to come at me and absorb into my ring. I didn't even feel anything. I opened my eyes and saw the spirit slowly disappearing "did I get it?"

"Yes... Take care young hero..." I opened my mouth to say something, but it already left.

I wanted to ask why I had to go to Ordon Spring... It's only going to bring back memories. That's... That's where Ilia was killed. I don't want to go back... But this isn't about me... If Eldin wanted me to go there, I have to go...

I looked at my ring and didn't even see it glowing like the last time. I made my small hands to fist and slowly walked away out the water and towards Bunny waiting for me by the edge

"Bunny?" She just meowed "who are you exactly... The spirits seem to know you, like Lanayru, and you suddenly appeared out of nowhere" I fell on my hands off balance and laid down, staring at the bright sky "I'm sorry... I really need to learn how to keep my mind at ease... The seal is cracked, it's strong enough to kill me. I can't let that happen.. I have a duty to obtain" I coughed. My throat hurt so much. I have been loosing blood from my mouth a dozen times, I thought I would be done for by now. Thanks to the fairy's tears Bunny gave me, I'm able to keep going

Someone lifted my head and rested me on their lap. I looked up and saw Zelda looking down at me with soft lovable eyes. I smiled and closed my eyes

"Thank you for helping me, your grace..."

"Anything for you, Link..."

"Can I lay here a little longer..?"

"Of course... You went through a lot not too long ago"

"I'm going to-" a finger prevented me from speaking

"Please don't speak... I'm afraid that anything you say may harm you" I sighed and held her hand

"I got one flame left... Then I'll soon be... Complete, right?"

"Yes..." I smiled and stayed here for a little while. I think I should eat some more and rest again... I have to go to Ordon apparently. I better be fully prepared before such a tragic event

After so long, I came back to reread this chapter to make sure there isn't too many mistakes. Not sure if I'm going to ever finish this story but we'll see
