Link

As soon as I stepped into Castle Town, I felt nothing but danger everywhere. I didn't know where to turn or what to do. There was a few citizens in panic but nothing seem to be happening. Only a few others were acting like nothing was happening

"What's wrong?" Navi asked

"Don't you feel it?" I asked

"Feel what? I only see the soldiers freaking out about something. Everyone else seen normal" yeah... But the behavior the soldiers were making made me nervous

I ran over to a man standing by who I often donate money to for the castle sometimes "excuse me? What's going around here?" I asked

"Hm? Oh, I'm not sure, but the soldiers are nowhere around town guarding and all went into the castle. First the redead was here now this? Poor Hyrule Castle and Castle Town..." that can't be good... That means something is happening in the castle!

"Do you think Zelda is in trouble..?" Navi frowned

"Not sure..." I ran my hand in my hair "I'm not sure what I should do... I don't think I can do anything in this state"

"What about that cool mask you used while fighting the Redead Knight?"

"I didn't take a green potion, so I'm out of magic and that's the only way I can use that mask" someone suddenly jumped over to me. I screamed and fell back. Impa had landed in front of me like she was some cannon ball!

"Link" she spoke. I glared and stood up

"What's the big idea scaring me!?"

"We have bigger issues right now"

"What's going on..?" I frowned

"The Princess is missing" my eyes shot wide

"Oh no! D-did Dink take her?!" I held my head while my eyes looked at every corner or every thing I could see. It's been so long since I went crazy... It's my fault, oh no... "It's my fault..." My cheek was suddenly slapped. I looked up in shock to see that Impa was the one that hit me

"She wasn't kidnapped" I furrowed my brows confused "she left this note" she handed me a note with Zelda's handwriting. All it said was

"I'm going to look for Link and help him... Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself. I'm planning on going around the land to help! Protect the castle in my place ~Zelda" I looked up at Impa

"Help me?" She nodded

"She told me she wanted to help you break the seal. Her and Midna were talking in private yesterday, so they plan on helping you break the seal and have you save Hyrule or something"

"But..." She glared

"Look! I know what you're gonna say! You're not a hero, I heard it before! Just do what you have to do to break that seal so you can find Zelda and make sure she's safe!" She huffed and looked away "she's stronger than she looks, but I'm still worried... Link" she looked at me "if this seal is keeping you from doing all these things... If it's the reason why you can't think yourself as a hero and the reason why you don't have your wisdom or courage ... You leave Castle Town in my hands" I frowned

"Impa..."

"So far, no one in Castle Town knows what's happening to the castle" we looked over at the man who was still here. She grabbed his shirt to make him loose balance and look back at me "so that means you can get your supplies here without hesitation. Now get out of here so I can deal with this man and keeping everything we talked about a secret" she walked away with the man struggling to stand. I rubbed the back of my neck before looking up at the castle. Nothing looks bad right now... But I'm still worried. What can I do..? Why does Zelda keep thinking I'm able to help this land?

"Hey! Listen!" Navi said "we should hurry! Impa says somethings happening to the castle, and Zelda is looking for you! So let's not keep her waiting" I sighed and put my Keaton mask on

"She's somewhere in Hyrule. She's stronger than she looks... Now come on... We need to go to Lake Hylia after getting some supplies"

"You're not worried?" I smiled

"If there's one thing I learned about Zelda during my years of knowing her, is that she sticks to something until she's done with it. Let her do her thing, I believe in her"

"And she you..." I nodded and looked down at Ben on the floor while staring at Bunny looking like she's staring right back, or is she really looking at him?

"Ben, what are you staring at?" I asked. He closed his eyes and vanished. Bunny looked back at me and meowed. I picked her up and stared at the small bag she had around her body "where did you get that bag? I don't remember having something that small before" she just stared at me while her tail wagged happily. I sighed and placed her on my shoulder

"Whatever, let's just go get supplies and food. I'm starving. My mom made me some good food but that stupid archer made me hungry again. I hate being a kid" I sighed and started walking to the market

"Your mom? Did you tell her about what happened with you in the castle and you being asleep?" I nodded

"Yeah..." I held my heart "she said I'm growing..."

"Growing? Seriously?" She pet my head "you're pretty short to me"

"You're talking fairy" she huffed and held her hip

"Yeah, I'm this way because of you" I looked at her confused. That's what Tatl and Tael said... "I'll tell you when you're ready" I rolled my eyes and finished my shopping and put everything in my bag sealed shut "hey listen! I know a way to get to Lake Hylia! By boat!"

"You don't say..." I said sarcastically "I know a better way to get there"

"Oh yeah Mr.Shortpants, what's easier than a boat?" I took off my mask to smirk at her. She suddenly looked nervous "Link... What are you planning?" I put my mask back on and grabbed her hand to walk out the south gates of Castle Town to Hyrule Field. I headed for the big hole up ahead "H-Hey! L-Link! That's the wrong way!"

"Nope! No it's not!" I laughed and started running, making sure Bunny was firmly on my shoulder "you're wearing the Zora Scale, right?!"

"Are you planning on jumping into the lake?! Link!! Stop!!" I laughed and took out the Zora mask I put on my belt earlier in the market and quickly put it on to turn into a tall Zora with green pants and boots "LINK!?" We jumped deep into the water. I laughed and picked up Bunny that was casually swimming towards me and watched Navi freaking out even if she was in a air bubble

"Calm down Navi!" I laughed

"Who are you?! Where's Link!?" I rolled my eyes and grabbed her hand to swim up to the surface. We would have been loosing breath by now "let go!" We made it to the entrance of Spring of Spirit Lanayru, or what it says on the sign "I'm a fairy! You do not mess with me!" Navi kept shouting. I rolled my eyes and let go of her and placed Bunny down. She shook her fur and licked her paws to lick herself

"Agh! You're disgusting!" I glared

"I'll have you know! This was a good friend of mine before..." I removed the mask and started crying

"Link..?" Navi frowned. I started drooling, but I knew that was blood

"I couldn't save him in time... So he turned into a mask and ask to do him this favor" my body started shaking "I let him rest in peace after I fulfilled his wish... But I couldn't save him" I fell on my knees. creatures in Termina would sometimes turn into mask when they have unfinished business if played by a special song... So a good Zora friend of mine ask for my help before he turned into this mask and moved on. I should have been faster to save him... I really am pathetic

"Shh.. Shh.." Navi pet my hair "I'm sorry okay... Don't think too much right now. I'm sorry I insulted you" I looked down. She didn't know, she was just scared... It's fine

"It's fine..." I picked up Bunny who just seemed all fine and walked into the Spring, until I noticed Navi wanting to follow "on second thought... I think it's better if you stay here" I can feel some danger around here... I better hurry

"Huh? Why? I'm suppose to help you!" She frowned

"And you will..." I gave Bunny to her "I'll be back... Please" she took Bunny and nodded. I nodded and walked to the spring. The first thing I saw was a patch of light floating in the middle of the spring

"Lanayru..?" I frowned "w-what happened to you..?"

"Young Link..." It spoke "I have been consumed by shadows..." My eyes widened in fear "Hero... Chosen by the gods..."

"No... I'm just Link..."

"Be careful... This lake has changed..."

"W-why? What happened?!"

"The dark clouds of dusk cover this land secretly below your feet..." I looked at my feet "you have no shadow young Link... But everything in this lake and around it is in danger of the hidden shadows taking over..."

"Let me guess..." I glared

"Yes... Your own shadow" my eyes widened "you know nothing because of a seal in your head... It keeps your memory block. Nothing makes sense because of that seal... Once that seal is destroyed, everything that's been wrong with your friends will be free" I held my head

"The seal is causing trouble for the ones around me? Not just me..?"

"Yes... Look for my light... Retrieve the light stolen by the shadow that came here and stole it from me... And keep it... In this vessel" a vessel magically appeared in front of me. I took it and stared at it

"But... What about my vessel that came from me?"

"That vessel... Is your missing light... To find your light, you must find the other spirits of lights's light..." I looked back at the vessel and nodded "in the shadow... The dark insects are invisible... I'm sure you can find them... you will find my light and those insects... Around the lake... She will show the way" the light disappeared. I looked down confused and saw Bunny near my feet. She will help me? Who's she? Navi? Bunny?

"Meow!" Bunny grabbed my attention and walked out the spring. I followed and saw Navi looking around

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Hm? Oh, nothing... My auntie lives around here. She's the Great Fairy of Wisdom. Maybe you should visit her"

"Another Great Fairy? She's here? How come she's not in Skyward Academy?"

"It's not a school night. That means we better see her for information. I heard Knights of the Academy are excused so they can protect Castle Town, so you have school off. I still gotta go back"

"Where did you hear that?" She smiled at me

"I can feel auntie, she told me through telepathy" I nodded and put Bunny on my shoulder

"Well, let's go then"

"How it go?" I waved the vessel around

"Time to play a Easter egg hunt" she looked out the lake again

"The tears of light..." I nodded "let's hurry to Auntie... She needs to speak to you about something"

"What?"

"A sacred flame? I think?" I nodded and followed her around the lake to enter a secret entrance.

"Meow..." I smiled at Bunny and pet her head

"It's okay, I got you... You'll help me like lanayru said?" She nodded. A cat who could nod and understand English... I wonder
