I watched Zelda pulling her hair out while panicking all over the place as we all sat around the kingdom's infirmary with Link sleeping, with blood dripping out his eyes

"Calm down Zelda" I said calmly while holding Link's Shadow Crystal in my hands. Lana was doing some research on it and used magic to see what it was. Zelda was staring out the window while biting on her fingers. I took out the crystal so that he wouldn't turn into a wolf in front of everyone. I'm surprised that it didn't go back into his head, so that means I can keep it here and study it. I also haven't been transforming so I'm curious to know what this thing is. I had told Zelda that it did things to Link, but I didn't want to say he turns to a animal

"Calm down!? How can I calm down?!" She shouted with tears falling out her eyes "I don't know what happened! He's been asleep for a week now and no magic is able to help him! It's crazy out there and it's hard to look for help! What do you know Midna!? What is that thing!?" She pointed at the shadow crystal like a lunatic. Her hair was all messy and she sort of smells

"I can't tell you" I said

"Why not! Tell me at once!" I raised a brow

"A princess telling another princess what to do? Ha! You're hilarious" she blushed "look, this shadow crystal transforms Link into something harmless on twilight till the morning, the same time I change forms like you seen when I first got here" she sat down and looked over at Link "if you're thinking it's the reason for his behavior then I seriously don't know, But if it is, then that's why I had Lana look to it. I want to help Link has much as I can, but what we're doing isn't going to help Link wake up. Stop crying and do something about this oh miss princess of light and wisdom" she nodded and covered her face

"I'm sorry... I just can't think straight... I've seen so much and it's hurting my head"

"Maybe you need to rest..." Impa frowned "you've been skipping your rest and using your harp a lot" Zelda suddenly started crying

"I need more clues! I keep seeing the same thing!" She crashed about "none of it makes sense!"

"Have you talked to his parents?" Navi asked

"I have my Loftwing send letters to his ranch. There wasn't ever a reply, so I had some of my soldiers go and the place is completely empty! It's like no one lives there!"

"Someone clearly does, I seen his siblings with him and he has a bunch of animals he takes care of" Lana said

"And how do you know that?" I smirked. She blushed and looked away

"I-I'm just curious to know where he leaves his Loftwing... Since he's in this state, I was wanting to take care of it"

"His Loftwing isn't in that ranch, it's somewhere else. He doesn't live in that house" everyone looked at me "if you want to know how I know that, you ask Link himself. I'm not going to say anything that might make him mad" Zelda sighed and held Link's hands. I frowned at them. Poor girl...

"Well, where are his siblings?" Navi asked. I crossed my arms and leaned back on my chair. Lana was still looking through some books, even some magic books from my world

"Maybe Skull Kid knows!" Zelda suggested

"The last thing we need is a joke. Skull kid will probably laugh at our situation, he doesn't care about anyone but himself" Impa glared. I started to giggle. I remembered the time she was pranked by him by putting her through a eating spell. She ate and ate until she was as big as a Goron. The food she ate had magic and it made her stay like that for a week until she popped like a ballon and went back to normal. Best prank ever!

"He cares about Tatl and Tael" Zelda frowned "he smiles when he's with them. We can at least ask where they are" Impa rolled her eyes and looked away

"Those kids are small, where can they possibly go?" Lana asked

"Probably with their parents to look for Link?" Navi thought

"Who is Link's parents anyways?" I asked. No one said a word "come on Zelda, you have Link's files in the school, right?" She rubbed the back of her head

"The school doesn't exactly run that way... All we know about the students is their names, homeland, magic, abilities, and where they live. We don't know anything else..." She sighed "but even so, Link never talked about his family when he came over"

"That's weird, you two were childhood friends, weren't you?" She nodded

"He didn't speak about himself often. He talked about his horse, adventures, and his village, but when I ask about his family, he pretends like I never asked" I looked at the shadow crystal

"That's really weird..."

"Princess, please" Impa held her shoulder "you need your rest... The king is worried"

"He's as worried about Link as I am. Mother told him if anything ever happened to Link, to do all in his power to help him, so he stuck through his word" she hugged her harp she would not let go of "he's Hyrule's hero... We need him" she cried "I need him.." I came over and pet her head

"I'll take care of him Zelda, it'll be okay" she frowned at me

"Midna..." I smiled and covered her face

"Don't you look at me like that" I giggled

"Is there anyone in the land that knows Link personally? Maybe this can be a medical condition? This crystal has nothing to do with hurting the human body, so..." Lana suggested

"That's a good idea! Who does Link know?" Navi asked

"As far as we know, Link avoids everyone" Impa said

"So... Now what?" I asked. We were all silent. I rolled my eyes and crossed my leg over the other. Someone knocked on the door

"Come in!" Zelda said before looking back at Link still crying bloody tears. That really can't be good for him. A soldier came into the room "oh! How is everyone doing The soldier bowed his head

"So far so good... No ones hurt at the moment " She nodded

"Where..." Link mumbled in his sleep. All of us girls surrounded him. He talked!

"He talked!" Navi gasped. I covered her face with my hand so she can shut up

"Link... Hey, I'm right here. Can you hear me?" Zelda said with hope

"Where..." Link said "them... Where..." He frowned "where... Have to... Find... Protect..." The Soldier came over to Link

"Wow... He really grew, didn't he..?" We looked up at his frown, surprised

"You know him?!" Navi asked. The man smiled and closed his eyes

"Yes... He use to live in Ordon Village before it burned down" Zelda offered a chair

"Please! Sit!" He nodded and sat down

"Who are you?" I asked, crossing my arms

"I'm Rusl, I use to be a master swordsman and protector of Ordon Village. I thought everything Link knows about swords"

"He's been like this for a week, do you what might be the cause of this? Maybe a medical condition if he has one?" Lana asked. Rusl shook his head and held Link's forehead

"No, our village was very poor. Our only Doctor could only heal the sick and injured, we couldn't know if Link had anything. Besides, he never let us help with anything"

"What do you mean?" I asked

"The boy works and worries for his siblings like he's a parent, he takes care of his siblings with no ones help, even if we offer"

"Wait... What?" Zelda furrowed her brows "why would Link...? He work like a..? Did... Did he have a mother?" Rusl sighed and crossed his arms

"That's what I don't know. Link never talked about his past. When I ask him, he says he doesn't know"

"Do you think it's a cover up?" Impa asked

"He might as well be the bravest kid I ever knew from how skilled he is" Zelda stood up too fast, making her fall back. I caught her and sat her back down

"Wait! I don't get it! You said he takes care of his siblings! How old was he around this time? What do you know about his past?" Rust started to think

"He came to our village when he was 5 with his brother and sister in his arms and back" we gasped

"So he had no mother?" Impa asked

"We don't know. Link refuses to talk about his life before he arrived at the village" Zelda raised her arms frustrated

"Great! More things to figure out!?" I pet her head to calm her down. She needs sleep

"He went to Ordon familyless and now has a family? That doesn't make sense" Lana crossed her arms. Rusl looked at her confused

"Thank you Rusl, we will call you for more information. We need to take care of Link and find a way to wake him up while you help the other men" Impa said. He nodded and stood up before looking back at Link

"It's strange... I haven't once seen Link around for years after the Village was burned down 5 years ago. He hasn't been the same after Ilia burned with it... He took it harder than her own father" we frowned "when he wakes up... I hope to see him again" Zelda nodded

"Of course" he bowed to us before walking out. We all looked at each other

"So the kid doesn't have a mother?" Navi asked

"We don't know that yet" Impa said

"But now he does have one?" Lana asked

"Does it matter if he has a mother?" I asked "who cares about the past? We need to think about now" everyone nodded

"The thing about the past and his siblings and I don't quite understand..." Zelda held her head. Impa held her shoulder

"Let's get you ready for bed"

"It's 5 in the morning" Zelda whined. Goddess... Humans

"Mm..." I looked down and saw Link rubbing on his eyes. We all gasped happily as he sat up

"Link!" We all yelled. He flinched surprised and looked at us all

"Where am I..?" I looked down at the shadow crystal in my hands and saw it fly into his head. He rubbed his forehead and looked over at Zelda

"W-where did it..?" Lana pointed shakily. I sighed and facepalmed. Great... How are we suppose to know what the hell is that thing? This might just be the very thing that makes him crazy. Who knows, and now it's back inside him

"Are you okay?" Zelda sat on the bed next to him and whipped some blood from his cheek. He just stared at her

"Zelda?" She nodded

"Yeah, I'm right here" she smiled. He held her cheek

"Why are you so pale..?" I stepped forward

"Because you've been asleep for a week with blood running out your eyes!" He whipped his cheek confused and stared at the blood

"Ben..." He said

"Ben?" Zelda pushed "who's Ben??" He held his head again. I sighed and picked Zelda up to give to Impa

"Put this girl to sleep, she really needs it" Impa nodded

"Wait!" Zelda whined on Impa's shoulder

"Zelda..." Link called. Impa put her down so she can look at him "I..." He looked down "I... Still don't believe I'm the hero of Hyrule... But I want to look for my missing pieces" he looked at all of us "I..." Something was shining in his chest. He slowly took it out and looked down at a vessel. He frowned and held it close before looking at us again "I need to remember... I can't remember my past and I need to... Find... Them..." He held his head and fell back on his pillow. Lana caught him with magic and gently placed him down "I'm going around Hyrule again and speak to the Spirits of light... To get rid of this seal" I casually dug in his head and showed him his shadow crystal

"This?" He was going to reach it before it flew back inside him

"I don't know what that is... But if that's the seal that's keeping me from remembering and keeping me from doing so many things... I want to get rid of it. I'm..." He covered his face "I'm going to need some help... If that's okay" Zelda was going to speak, but Impa closed her mouth

"Sorry kid, you're on your own" She said. he looked confused "while you were asleep, the kingdom has been under attacked" he shot up from bed, but went dizzy and fell forward. Navi caught him on time, but struggled thanks to her sudden lost in height

"S-sorry..." He sat back on the bed "what you mean under attacked?"

"It's that one season where enemies come out of nowhere and try taking everything over. Stalkids and Redeads are all over the place" he groaned

"Again?!" Zelda held his arm

"You fought them before, remember? Do you... Think you can do that again?" He frowned

"He just woke up Zelda, and you need sleep" Lana frowned. Link frowned at Zelda's dark under eyes and pale face

"Yeah but... Since the soldiers are handling them, I figured once Link gets better. He can fight them and it might help him gain some courage?" Link chuckled and pet her head

"I fought enemies before Zelda. Didn't Deku Princess tell you I rescued her from a monster? I saved the Gorons and Zora's and did a lot of things in Termina. I don't use courage to win, I use power. There's never going to be a time where I consider myself a hero because I force myself to jump on enemies to protect others. That's not what a hero does. That's why I need to remove the seal. If there's any way I would actually be a hero, that seal is keeping me from believing that. I do want to be a hero and protect others the right way. I'll fight the Redead and Stalkids for you, but I won't guarantee I'll feel like a hero, but it'll make me feel good" Zelda smiled and nodded

"That's brave of you..." His hand with the Triforce shined, but the two of them didn't notice because they were staring at each other. I looked down at Navi looking down at herself

"What?" I asked. Then I noticed she lost a inch "what's happening to you?" She smiled excitedly and hid behind me

"He's the reason why I'm like this..." I looked at her confused "he's getting his courage back one at a time, but it keeps going away because of that seal apparently. Let's help him remove that seal" I smirked

"Wow Navi, I didn't think you cared so much" she blushed and looked away. Lana giggled and looked back at Link and Zelda staring at us. We flinched

"What are you guys talking about?" Impa asked

"That we're going to help Link find a way to get rid of the seal" I said. Link smiled

"Really?"

"Sure. Navi can help you in the day time and I'll help you in the night, since you're defenseless around that time" I smirked. He blushed and looked away

"Why?" Zelda asked

"Nothing" he sighed

"Oh, Link. I think you should know something" Lana said "when you were sleeping, we contacted your family" he flinched and looked like he was panicking

"You what?!" I even flinched

"Er... We wanted to let them know you were okay..."

"They don't give a shit about me!"

"But..." I moved her away so I can take over

"They didn't answer, Your mother didn't even answer. We think something happened, because no one was home" Link furrowed his brows confused

"My mother? No ones home?" I shook my head "what about Tatl and Tael?" Zelda wanted to say something, but didn't

"Not even them"

"Then they must be with either mom or skull kid" skull kid? So he would've been helpful like Zelda said

"Who is your mom?" Navi asked

"Navi, you got shorter" she nodded proudly for some reason

"Yep, now answer my question" he made a face and looked away

"My mom's name is Farore" I blinked a few times

"Faror? Like... The goddess Farore?" Link held his head again in pain

"Can't..." Lana pet his head

"Don't stress yourself... Relax and we'll get you some food... Princess, you go up to your room and feel better. Our battle with the enemies is going to be awhile, so let's prepare to help Link break the seal he wants to break!" She posed happily. We chuckled at her bubbly personality

"You're right" Impa picked Zelda up again "let's prepare for battle and we can get on with our lives" I pointed my finger up

"First... Link" he looked at me confused "why are you suddenly needing our help? I thought you didn't want friends" he smiled and looked down

"I'm allowed to now..." I furrowed my brows confused "sorry, this isn't the time to talk about this..." He whipped on his dry blood and started scratching his cheeks "I have to.." He started scratching his neck with dry blood on it "prepare for battle..." He looked at Zelda staring at him "think you can let me borrow the four swords?" She flinched

"B-but!" He smiled

"I'm fine, let me use the sword that the hero is gonna use, I'm sure he won't mind" she sighed and smiled before nodding

"I'll let it ready..." She left the room with Impa

"You should use the Master Sword after you're done with the other sword" Fi popped out of nowhere. Holy twilight!!!

"Fi!!!" I glared "where the hell did you come from?!" Link kept staring at Fi wide eyed in his face before fainting "great! Now you done it!" I picked Link back up

"Where did you come from Fi?" Lana asked

"The master sword was shining..." My eyes widened "Master must pull on the sword, it responded to him. I just know it..."

"You and that sword have some weird relationship, don't you?" She sighed

"You... Have no idea.." I nodded

"I'll get him to pull it, okay?" She smiled before looking back at Link

"Thank you..."
