Chapter 3: Slave•
Zelda kept trying to wake the boy up, but he wouldn't even respond! He was still breathing, perhaps he's just exhausted from being in that chunk of ice. She really wants to know how this stranger knew her name... Almost not caring about how he got in the block of ice, she cared more about how he knew she was a princess when he was stuck in the seal for what looked like a long time.
He talked nonsense about being the hero of time and defeating Ganondorf. There was a story her mother told her about a great hero who traveled through time by using the family's special ocarina of time her ancestor gave the hero. She didn't believe in such nonsense. Like really? This boy was in that chunk of ice for hundreds of years without being dead? Get real
It took everything in Zelda's will to get her knife she was holding over Link's head, to strike him and kill him. She didn't find it necessary to keep him alive, but she was still curious about the boy and couldn't find herself to cause any more pain to him than he already has. She stared at his sleeping face once last time before leaving back to the kitchen. Her heart was raising like crazy. She leaned on the door and sat down to hold herself. What is this feeling..?
She quickly shook it off and walked back to her pot where she was cooking her special soup made with Ordon cheese, Ordon pumpkin, and rare reekfish she found expensive in the market. She didn't want to waste all her rupees in such a fish, so she risk to show her face to the sales man to shock him and take the fish after he passed out. It was a hilarious risk, but at least she saved money. The man perhaps thought it was a dream, but will never know what happened to that one reekfish
Zelda giggled at the thought and stirred the soup around. It smells absolutely delicious... She can hear her stomach growling for a meal after hours of walking around by herself in the morning
The bowl of soup was big enough to serve two people. It made her uneasy to know she was cooking for someone else, but what can she do? She already cooked it and hope it can heal the boy so he can leave, since she can't kill him
Though something bugs her even more... Those eyes she saw earlier glared at the wolves without holding any sign of fear. He said he was the hero of time and defeated someone as evil as Ganondorf, which she heard stories about from her mother of him betraying the kingdom and took over... If that boy says who he said he was, then it might be interesting to keep him around. She smirked at the idea
"He owes me his life after all... I haven't had much fun in years, this should be interesting" Zelda smirked mischievously before pouring the soup into a two bowls and walk back to the living room to place on the coffee table. She's sure he'll wake up from the smell
As she predicted, Link's nose twitched a little before opening his bright blue eyes Zelda couldn't help but feel weak to. She shut her eyes and sat on the couch
"That smell..." Link said. She lifted a bowl and handed it to him without taking a glance. Not wanting to see his eyes. They were like a trigger to her weak spot. She will not be seen as weak... Especially to a boy who dares to pin her on the floor... Naked. The thought made blood rise to her face before she shook that off as well
"Here, it'll make you feel better" The bowl was slowly taken from her. She grabbed her own bowl and begun eating without a spoon and slurped her way to the bottom. Eating the whole thing without chewing
"You're hungry, aren't you Princess?" She shot daggers at him, but missed his head by a inch. He didn't even flinch nor reacted. He just frowned with his sleepy face
"Shut up and eat your stupid food!" She glared angrily. He looked at the soup for a moment before raising the bowl to his lips and sipped. His eyes widened surprised
"This is really good..." She looked away and pouted stubbornly at the compliment "pretty cheesy actually. The pumpkin taste kind of familiar though" he continued eating until he was finished and smiled brightly, making her flinch "thanks a lot! I feel a lot better!" She huffed and looked away. That smile is going to be the death of her. It's better off if he just leaves
"Now that you recovered, get out my house" she crossed her arms while looking at the fire place
"W-what..?" Link frowned. She glared at his expression and grabbed his hair forcefully to bring him closer to her face
"Did I stutter? It's taking everything in my will not to kill you, leave before I snap on your ass and throw you back in the cold cave I found you in so you can freeze like I found you" his eyes widened confused. She giggled and pushed him down to fall "I found you frozen in a chunk of ice... If it wasn't for me, you would have still been in there. And I could have left you in the cave after freeing you, but I didn't. You owe me your life now, brave one. I'm giving you a chance to leave. If you leave, there'll be a pack of wolves in the wonder ice land we're in waiting to kill you without my command, can you take them on without a weapon? but if you stay" she stood up and grabbed his chin "you're mine. I can really use a slave"
"A-A Slave..?" She giggled at his shocked words
"You must choose wisely..." Zelda barely noticed he was shaking in horror "awe, is the great hero of time scared of a princess?"
"So you don't believe me..." It wasn't a question, it was a statement he pointed out
"I don't really care about the legend. Either if you were the hero of time or not, it doesn't matter to me. I couldn't care less about what happens to Hyrule. The legend means nothing to me"
"Zelda... How could you say that? This is your land you vowed to protect!" She glared and grabbed a fist full of his blonde hair
"I'm not your Zelda! I am Princess Zelda, but I'm not the one you knew of! For generations, the women of my family were named the same name I hold today, so don't mistake me for my ancestors... I'm not like them not ever will be..." He almost looked hurt "now choose, surrender or die..?" He stared into her serious eyes before closing his eyes in surrender. She smirked and pushed him away "that's a good boy" she sat back down and got comfy
"I swore to never leave you..." She glance back at him sitting on his knee with the blanket still wrapped around his waist "as long as I hold my name, I swear to always protect thee Princess Zelda, no matter who she is" Zelda frowned and looked away
"Stop bowing to me boy and put on some clothes. They should be dried by now" Link nodded and picked up a red tunic. She looked over to stare at his abs "wait" he stopped what he was doing and looked at her. She sat on the floor and crawled over to face him sitting down. She could practically hear him gulp. She ran her fingers on his bumpy abs slowly, hearing him breathing shakily
"H-hey... W-what are you doing?" He asked nervously
"Shut up, do not talk back to your princess, boy" she looked up at his nervous eyes before taking his chin "I'm going to have so much fun with you..." Her fingers went lower his torso, making his face blush crimson
"I-I am only 10 years old by heart Z-Zelda... Don't do that!" She titled her head to the side confused, still holding her mischievous smile
"But you know what I'm doing, so you have the mind of a adult, do you?" He gulped again and looked away "forget about what a heart wants or knows. It's your brain deciding everything, and my brain really wants to have some fun with a handsome man sitting right before me" his face went more red as her face came closer to his. He went shy and looked down a little "you do know what to do... Right?" He shut his eyes for a second before looking back at her curious blue eyes staring into his
"I... I really don't... A lot of things happen through a journey around Hyrule, you pick up some things... Even when you really don't want to. There's never things you can ever unsee" Zelda giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck while spreading his legs apart to sit on her knees close together so their bodies wouldn't let a slight breeze get through "Z-Zelda!" Steam of embarrassment could be seen coming out his ears and blood dripping from his nose. Zelda rolled her eyes and pinched his nose before pressing her lips onto his hot ones. She knew his eyes widened at first, but later relaxed and wrapped his arms around his waist. She smiled during the kiss and backed away while unpinching his nose. He let out a huge deep breath before breathing heavily
"Awe" Zelda giggled "are you being shy?" He looked away, holding his bloody nose
"You're throwing this on me too fast Zelda... Stop..." He whined. She tried her best to stop her heart from pounding so hard. She tried to not make it noticeable and show that it was hurting... She turned around and held her chest tight "huh? Zelda..?" She stood up quickly and took a deep breath before she calmed down.
"It's getting late, time to go to bed" Zelda noticed Link dressed into a red tunic. It actually looked warm on his body. He looked pretty heroic actually, all he need was a sword. The ancient books in the castle had a man with blonde hair in green with a sword on them along with other sages. She knew of the legend of a different timeline, of the hero in green... But Link changed into a red tunic, and she didn't like it, but she's not going to say anything of course
"Come, I'll show you where you will sleep" she walked off in a hurry. Link hurried to pick up his broken Ocarina and follow her. Why is he bringing that thing?
The two had walked around the house until they made it outside. Link nor Zelda showed any signs of being cold.
"What is that thing you're wearing that keeps you from being cold?" She asked, looking at his red tunic. He looked at her confused before looking down at his outfit
"Oh! This is a Goron Tunic! It helps me from over heating in the hottest volcano, where the Gorons live. They do still live in Death Mountain, don't they? In Godon City?" Zelda stared at him before walking away
"Yes" she replied "though I never heard of Goron City, they live near Kakariko Village, just a few blocks"
"So nothing changed much, I see" Zelda sighed and ran her fingers in her bangs. She wasn't as annoyed as she thought would be by talking to a person, but the questions still bothered her.
"Well, your era is different from this era. Any more questions? You better hurry up before I cut you off" he nodded rapidly and started thinking
"How does Castle Town look? The last time I seen it, there were Redeads everywhere because of Ganon's evil magic when he took over Hyrule" Zelda caught the story a little interesting. Maybe him talking wouldn't be so bad
"It's as peaceful as ever. The land is very peaceful. The soldiers of the castle are not great, therefore they are wimps and weak. We did not need to increase the army because there was no reason too"
"I see..." There was a short silent on the way to the bedroom "what about the Kokiri Forest?" She stopped walking and looked at him confused
"I don't recall what that is" his face fell in a horrified and confuse expression she didn't understand
"You know... The Kokiri children..? The children that stay young forever and have a fairy following them..?" Zelda shook her head "the deku tree protects them! Surely the new tree grew to keep the children and fairies alive!" Zelda didn't answer as he started to freak out "please... Tell me that forest is still there..."
"The only forest I know of is Faron Woods, I'm not sure if that's what you were going for" he looked down wide eyed
"What about Lon Lon ranch?"
"Strange name for a Ranch"
"The temple of time?"
"Nowhere near where humans can go without searching for it deep in Faron woods" he shook his head
"Skull kid?"
"Haven't seen any before"
"Epona?! My horse!?"
"You're talking about a random horse you had centuries ago"
"What about Navi!?" She titled her head to the side confused "if there's no deku tree... There is no fairies..." His eyes started to water "the great fairy..?"
"In a part of the land where you cannot visit. It's forbidden to go to, since that area is used to seal away prisoners" Link covered his face and landed on his knees. Zelda sighed and looked away. How many times is this guy going to mope?
"What has the world gone to..?" She closed her eyes and walked away to her bedroom door and take out the key
"Stop moping, it's not like I'm going to allow you to leave this place, so stop crying and get in here before you freeze again. I'm going to shut the door if you don't hurry up" Link wiped his eyes before dashing to Zelda's side, into the large room with a large space. She took out her harp from her side bag and placed it near her bed
"That harp!" Link gasped with a smile
"Hm? Oh, this was passed down from generations through my family tree" he nodded
"Yes... That's the same harp Sheik used to teach me songs with my ocarina to get me through the way..." How does he know the name Sheik? Her ancestors used the name before? "I'm glad you still have a taste for music" she glared
"What's that suppose to mean?" She pointed some daggers at him. He only smiled. Her cheeks went red before turning away and change right in front of him. He screamed, making her smirk and put on a night gown before getting on her king size bed "are you coming to bed, brave one?" Link held his bloody nose
"Wouldn't that make us married..?" Zelda rolled her eyes and laid down
"This relationship is nothing but a slave and master, you shall not think of me as your princess. That princess cares about her people, I wouldn't care if the land was drenched in darkness again" She covered herself with a blanket "if you think about killing me, I have wolves keeping an eye on us. They can go through doors so watch yourself" before she knew it, arms wrapped around her "hey! I told you to-!" She turned and saw him sleeping on her pillow. "He's asleep already..." She sighed "what a strange boy..." She looked up at the ceiling "Hero of time huh..? What has time did anything good for me..?"
"Time~" Zelda closed her eyes before seeing a image of a young girl and a small boy in green facing each other in a court yard. Before she knew it, she fell asleep in Link's warm arms
