Chapter 2: Link•

Link

After a tremendous journey of going through time 7 years through the future, and back to the past over and over again, has came to its end. Link went far and wide to find the six Sages and put a stop to a future Ganondorf planned on ruining. Link trained long and hard, forced to grow up faster than the average kid, and grew up to believe he was a Kokiri, unacceptable by the others until he was forced out to fulfill his destiny. Changing from a kid to a teenager over and over, Link didn't grow up like other people. It was thanks to the Master Sword, he was able to travel through time to fix the future and protect his present.

The Ocarina of time was a object that helped him the most next to the Master Sword, but the one thing that helped him the most and started him in his journeys was his childhood friend, Princess Zelda. A princess that believed in him from the first moment they met when Link sneaked into the castle. If it wasn't for her, Link wouldn't have the Ocarina of time or get access to the Master Sword in the first place.

Princess Zelda was someone he would sacrifice his life for. He became a hero for her, not because of some legend that the Kokiri Tree told him about, because of her! The girl he grew up for and matured to save Hyrule... He missed his childhood because of his sacrifice, but if it was for her, he didn't care.

Navi was Link's companion through the whole journey and helped him through those thick and thin times. She was helpful in some ways but couldn't when Ganon revealed his magic to fight Link and rescue Zelda

After using the Master Sword to defeat Ganon, Link won his battle against the king of evil and escaped the crumbling castle with Zelda,  Princess Zelda, who was first disguised as a Sheikah Tribe warrior, Sheik, helping him through his adult hood on his journey until revealing herself as the true princess he hasn't seen in 7 years

Once escaping, it was the end... Or so the two thought. The war was not over. Ganon had another trick up his sleeve, or rather his hand holding the Triforce of power. He used the Triforce of power to transform himself into a large beast and knock the Master Sword out of Link's hand, throwing it outside the ring of fire they were surrounded by while Zelda was almost hit by the blade. The Master Sword was the only way to seal Ganon, but it wasn't the only weapon Link had

When using his bow and arrow to shoot light arrows to finish the first phase, the fire around them died down and Link finally had hold of his Master Sword and fought to the death. The battle was difficult, so Zelda used her power to hold the evil king so Link could make one final blow, one final blow was needed before everything became silent. The blade went through Ganon's head and made him go haywire before the six sages were called to seal the evil king. Everything was in peace again after the sealing, but the future had suffered thanks to Ganon...

Link and Zelda were face to face in the middle of the Sacred Realm. Clouds and blue sky surrounded the two, quiet and peaceful. It felt too good to be real... Everything they went through, it's done

"Thank you, Link..." Zelda gave a kind and grateful smile "Thanks to you, Ganondorf has been sealed inside the evil realm! Thus, peace will once again reign in the world..." She closed her eyes "for a time..." She turned away "all the tragedy that has befallen Hyrule was my doing... I was so young... I could not comprehend the consequences of trying to control the sacred realm. I dragged you into it too..." Link frowned and sat on his knee while taking his princess's hand. She looked down at him with teary eyes

"I am the Hero of Time. As long as I'm alive... I shall always believe you and protect you, Princess. I will protect Hyrule, with my own life. I'll sacrifice everything for what I worked so hard to protect" Zelda smiled and squeezed on his hand before pulling him back on his feet

"I believe you Link... But now it's time for me to make up for my mistakes..." She turned away in guilt "you must lay the Master Sword to rest and close the Door of time..." Link took out his Master sword and stared at his reflection through the blade "however, by doing this, the road between times will be closed..." She took a moment before opening her hand "Link, give me the ocarina to me.." Link nodded slowly and took it out as slowly as possible. He knew what she was planning on doing... Zelda, not after what they went through

"Zelda..." He frowned

"As a sage, I can return you to your original time with it" he looked down at the ocarina before handing it over. She held his hand he was holding it with and looked away "peace has returned to Hyrule... It is time for us to say goodbye-"

"Time~" something echoed through the air. The couple looked around confused "Time has been cruel... Time makes things different... Time~" a unfamiliar voice echoed

"Zelda..?" Link frowned. Zelda frowned and looked down at the ocarina in her open hands. Wind blew their hair and into the ocarina, creating a song they didn't recognize. The Master Sword in Link's hand disappeared. The two of them gasped as Link was suddenly surrounded by a light beam

"No..." Zelda shook her head "this isn't the song that's suppose to take you back to your time!" She reached out her hand while the ocarina flouted out her hands and into the light he was in

"Zelda!" He reached his hand towards her as well, but everything went white. Everything went cold... Everything was gone... Time went by and Link couldn't even feel it, since he was put into a internal sleep thanks to the wind playing the ocarina...

Centuries later, the ice Link was sealed by with his shield and items had suddenly burst. It wasn't thawed, it exploded! Though he didn't notice, he knew he wasn't sealed somewhere anymore. He was alive... But very very cold. Where is he..?

After his body slowly regained its warmth, he could finally open his eyes... His blue orbs looked at his surroundings. He was in a house, covered in a blanket near a fire. His skin was soft and dry... He was warm in the blanket, but knew something didn't feel right. The blanket touched his skin, all of it... He was naked!

"What the hell..?" He muttered before sitting up, but his muscles were too sore. He laid on the blanket tiredly and out of breath "what's going on..? Where am I..?" He turned on his stomach and looked more of his surroundings. He could feel eyes staring at him. He reached for his sword but found all his belongings scattered on the floor except for a sword

"Fine..." He glared and pushed himself to sit up, but ended up hearing growling sounds. Wolves... He hurried to pick up a Deku stick on the floor and used the fire from the fire place to protect himself with a glare "I'm not scared of you..." He reached for something else around him until he found what he was looking for, his ocarina. Before putting it close to his mouth to play, he noticed the mouth piece was broken off. His heart broke... "No... The Ocarina Zelda gave me... It's broken..." He glared again and looked back at the wolves, noticing more eyes were looking at him from the darkness

"I see you're awake" a familiar voice giggled. Link looked around confused until he could see the bottom of someone's feet near the light almost shining the room. The feet started walking towards another door. The light came closer to the person's body, making Link flinch in recognition. Isn't that..? That outfit... He knows it anywhere!

The person was holding bags in their arms while walking to the door on the other side of the room "stay where you are and the wolves won't hurt you, got it?" There's no doubt... He knows this voice, he heard it not too long ago in the Sacred Realm! She's wearing the Sheikah Warriors outfit, he knew this voice...

"Zelda?" The girl dropped the bags she was holding and looked at the boy wide eyed before glaring her eyes and stormed over with a knife held against his neck. His eyes widened surprised

"Who are you?" She snarled.

"Z-Zelda!" Link gasped. She groaned and pinned him on the floor with her knife still pressing on his neck. His face reddened at the fact that he was naked under the blanket and she was on top. Agh! Curse growing up so fast! He knew exactly what was happening and couldn't help but go nervous

"Who do you think you are? Talking like you know me" she pressed on his shoulder, making him groan in pain "who send you!? No, wait..." She pressed on him again "where did you come from!? Explain yourself or I'll kill you right now" she chuckled "I was planning on doing so anyways" Link was beyond shocked. This can't be the same Zelda he just left! Who is this girl!? She's dressed just like Sheik, but there's just no way!

"You wouldn't want to kill a hero, right?" He smiled nervously. She looked at him confused before he jumped her and laid on top

"H-hey!" She glared and wiggled to get free

"Who are you!? You're not the Zelda I know!" He removed her scarf. She even had her face... "Why do you have her eyes?! Her voice?! Her looks!? You are not my princess! Explain yourself to me!" The wolves around him barked loudly, distracting him for a second before he got kneed on the spot where the sun doesn't shine. The pain was almost as bad as how sore his body was. The girl stormed on her feet and pointed her knives at him

"Your princess? I asked you who you are first, explain yourself or I'll have my wolves tear you from piece to pieces" she smirked evilly. Link had a hard time looking at it... Zelda, please

"Please... Princess..." He frowned and forced himself on his knee, which made her flinch "don't you know who I am..? I'm Link..." He looked at her dumbfounded eyes "the Hero of Time... The one who sealed Ganondorf and brought peace back to Hyrule..." Zelda lowered her knife and walked away "w-wait!" The wolves growled at him, making him stop from standing

"Stay where you are, or I'll have my wolves attack..." She clicked her tongue and went into the other room with the bags she dropped. Link frowned and looked down at his broken Ocarina before starting to cry

"I'm sorry... You gave this to me to protect... And this happens..." He blew into the hole but could only make blowing sounds. He covered his face before feeling his heart beating faster in exhaustion. He laid on the pillow he was laying on and closed his eyes "where am I..? This... Isn't my time..." His eyes went heavy as he hugged the stinging muscles all around him. Maybe he's still tired from battling the evil king...

Link could hear foot steps coming towards him, but he didn't have the energy to open his eyes. His hair was pulled forcefully to raise his body to his knees. He groaned in pain and kept his eyes closed

"Dinner is getting ready" his body was thrown on the floor. He used his sore arms to use himself up, but fell and felt his body slowly falling asleep "what's the matter? Can't push yourself up?" Zelda's voice giggled

"Falling asleep..." He mumbled as his world slowly started turning black. His cheeks were getting slapped, but he hardly felt anything

"Hey! I'm not done with you! Stay awake dammit!" Zelda demanded. He opened his eyes and stared into her angry blue eyes staring at him. He reached to hold her cheek, but passed out before he could get any closer
