Cole was sitting in Kai's room, he was right next to the fire Ninja's bed in a chair. The young Ninja had been up all night hoping Kai would wake up soon. It had been about two and a half weeks since the Oni masks had somehow put Kai into a coma. While watching Cole would close his eyes now and then, from lack of sleep.

A change had happened to the master of fire, his once brown hair was slowly turning a snowy white color. It was part of the affects of holding the Oni mask while it resurrected someone. The other effects where pale skin, dull almost blind-looking eye color, and being weaker. This was something new because it was the first time someone had held onto a Oni mask when a person was brought back to life.

A weak coughing sound came from Kai and Cole opened his eyes quickly to see his boyfriend waking up from his coma. A smile spread across Cole's face and he hugged Kai gently. Kai's now dull chocolate brown eyes looked at Cole and hugged him back with his good arm. Cole let go of Kai and looked at him, it was painful to see what holding the Oni mask had done to him.

"Cole" Kai said softly.

"Yes Kai?" Cole asked ready to get Kai whatever he needed.

"I'm thirsty" Kai said softly.

"Okay I'll go get you some water" Cole said before leaving to get Kai water.
