Takeshi Lavanda Kuroriku- Second cousin to the King of Kuroriku, Osamu. He's former wielder of Aventine and is revered by many as a legendary and triumphant hero due to his service during the latest Kuroriku-Kasai no Ki war. All three of his kids greatly admired him while growing up. Tetsuya's willingness to become a knight stems from wishing to be as great a knight as his father. Prior to his death, Tekeshi contributed to the creation of the Five Weapons of Prophecy. He is the main architect of the project to save Zionia from the impending invasion.

Anis Kuroriku- First cousin of Azami and Osamu and second cousin to her own husband. While being raised in a rural area in the south of Kuroriku, she is still refined in her own way. She retired from the battlefield after the Kuroriku-Kasai no Ki war drew to a close in order to raise her three kids. After Tekeshi's death, she was left with rearing them all by herself as well as managing the farm.

Takuya Kuroriku- Tetsuya's oldest brother. He is a hard worker. He is often considered to be plain and boring by others, especially those unaware of his job as a demon hunter. In his free time, he is often found reading books. Tetsuya's dream of being a writer is partly due to telling his big brother stories while they were growing up. He loves his family greatly and will give up everything for their sake if the need arises. He is often seen without shoes due to lacking the necessary money to buy a pair, not that he likes wearing them anyway. Though shoes do remind him of the time his father bought him a pair, a moment of joy in his life...

Teresa Ginger Kuroriku- Tetsuya's older sister. Despite not being able to afford them, she is into the latest fashion. If there's anyone that Tetsu would ask about what's in, it's her.

Tetsuya Verum Alexandro Kuroriku- The main character. He's a kind-hearted, though also teasing, and idealistic young man. He dreams of being a teacher, writer, and great knight. Sometimes he tends to reflect on things for a long time to the point of overthinking. Despite coming off as cocky and confident, he secretly has low self-esteem in part due to failing to live up to his own expectations. He's the wielder of Agnes. Rocio Matsuko Kuroriku- The younger sister of Tekeshi and Selena. She is calculating. She detests weakness and tries to root it out of her children through harsh training. Similarly, she dislike childish behavior. She's the Rat Pillar and is often called the 'Princess of Abyss' due to her noble-like personality as well as her father's status as the official leader of the Pillars of Darkness. Her father named her as his heir should anything happen to him.

Skah Altair Orégano Kuroriku- The younger brother of Tekeshi, Selena, and Rocio. He is warm and kind. His hobbies are playing card games, dancing, and playing instruments, all of which he is very talented in. He's the Rooster Pillar.

Sun/Son Etsuo: Eldest son of Rocio and Daisaru, though others often assume he's Skah and his wife's kid instead of theirs due to his white hair. He has control over flames. He isn't much of a fighter. Instead he tends to be the strategist of the duo. He has a kind heart which has proven to be a hindrance in the war. Roa tends to remind him not to get too close to the enemy.

He can transform into a giant rat-monkey-looking creature but avoids using it as he considers it ugly due to often being made fun of as a kid when using that form.

Roa Kuroriku: Eldest son of Skah. He has control over lightning. He tends to be colder and can come off as a jerk. Out of the duo he is the one who is more invested in the war. He reminds Etsuo not to be too nice to the enemy, even when they're trying to get them to lower their guard. He tends to come off as a jerk to many but has a heart of gold.

He can transform into a majestic black pegasus with a blue aura.
