Chapter 6: The Lies of the Two Face Spirit

{Not Edited. Enjoy!}

The glass of probending Arena remained broken and the police in building as Korra entered Bolin and Suni's apartment, Mako putting a red shirt into a box.

"I still can't believe they're shutting this place down, Bolin." Mako said as he helped him back.

"Yeah. We had some good memories here, didn't we?" Bolin replied distantly.

Korra excitedly ran up the stairs and yelled: "Guys! Great news. You don't have to go back on the streets. I talked to Tenzin and made all the arrangements. You can come live on Air Temple Island with me!" She gave a smile.

"Oh, that be great, Korra, but I got plans and Bolin..." Suni sighed.

"Mako and Asami already invited me to live in her dad's giant mansion!" Bolin interrupted Suni and beamed all happy.

Korra face showed her disappointment

"From here on out, it's gonna be the lap of luxury for me!" He smiled proudly.

Behind Korra, Asami entered holding Pabu. "Oh hello, Korra, I was hoping you would stop by. I've heard a lot about you from Bolin." Asami Sato smiles politely.

"Oh wow..." Korra breathed out of wonder. She had seen her at my party but seeing her was... "you're really pretty..." Korra thought out loud in a daze.

"Aww thank you, Korra." Asami smiled as she walked to Mako with Pabu. "I like your friend, Bolina." Asami rested her head on Mako's shoulder as he packed Bolin's luggage.

"Oh well, I guess I'll leave than. Bye!
see you guys around, some time." Korra waved, about to leave.

"Why not tomorrow? I'd love to have you come visit the estate." Asami said.

"I don't know. I have some ... Takumi might need me." In fact I did not.

Bolin holding up Pabu and talks as him with a high-pitched voice and an accent; waves Pabu in front of his face so that it looks like Pabu is talking: "Come on, Korra! We all deserve a little rest and relaxation after all this craziness. We could swim in Asami's pool. It'll be fun!"

"All right, Pabu." Korra laughed.

Asami walked next to Mako and Bolin, waving. "Great, we'll see you tomorrow."

The next day was my last test. To see if I had truly master Air Bending. Tenten was quite hard on me. But it wasn't anything I hadn't had experience in.

We both bowed after our match.

"Well done Avatar Takumi, you've mastered airbending. Past all forms spiritual training as well, your avatar training is complete." He said seriously as he held a monk's head bow.

"Thank you, Tenten—" my heads blinked as those words escaped my lips.

"Just because you have past does not mean you can call me Tenten!" Tenten foamed as the mouth with anger.

"Sorry, Tenzin. I won't do it again. But no promises." I smirked, my hands behind my back.

"Only my mother called me that, don't make a habit of it." He said as he walked away.

"But I am your mother." I whispered, words I wanted to see but words I didn't want him to hear.

As I walked to the cafeteria to get some lunch Josuke ran up: "Hey, Avatar, we found another eye witness, Chief is ready to go the next step." He smiled with a wave.

"Mm, alright. Korra, you coming?" I asked as she was walking by. Maybe she would say yes this time.

"But Bolin and Asami invited me to her house today..." she sighed pointing to Nagga.

"Oh..." my eyebrows farrowed; "ok we'll see you later. Let's go, Josuke." I said walking to the courtyard.

"My cars this way, Avatar." Josuke pointed as he lead the way with his crazy hair.

Korra was enjoying the time away as she, Bolin, Asami and Mako enjoyed the water  at Asami's house.  That was until Bolin decided to bring something up that was narrowing at him since he found out his brother was a mafia leader.
He waited till Asami and Korra left for the bathroom.

"So Mako, how long have you be the Triple Threat Triads leader?" Bolin asked, his arms resting off the stone.

"Bolin, don't go there." Mako almost whispered.

"I don't know, Mako I just can't get out of head! What am I supposed to think?!?" Bolin raised his face, stepping in front of Mako and slashed the water in anger.

"I'm doing this for you, Bolin, can't you see that. How do you think I get to pay for everything, why do you think Suni is your team, or that fact that your boss had it so easy on you! Or how we survived all those years!" Mako yelled, becoming defensive.

"I thought they all liked me... Suni works for you...?" Bolin Couldn't believe that his teammates was just Mako wanted. What Mako has fabricated.

"Everyone at the arena works for me. Heck, half the city works for me. But Bolin I never meant for any of it to hurt you."

"I don't act like I don't know what you do! I remember what those leader where like. What they did, the people they killed, the lives they ruined!! You can't look at me and say that was all for me! I don't want that, Mako!!" Bolin screamed, tears began to to form in his green eyes.

"That's why I didn't want to tell you... but Bolin, it was the only way." Mako's eyebrows farrowed as he lowered his tone, his brother breaking in front of him was something he didn't want to see.

"No!!" Bolin yelled with a point. "I don't want anything to do with it!! I don't want anything to do with you anymore, get away from me, Mako!!" Bolin yelled in tears as he walked out of the pool.

"Bolin!! Bolin come back!!" Mako screamed as he ran out the pool to catch him.

Bolin grabbed his clothes and stomped away as Asami was walking in.
"And you watch out, this Triple Threat leader here is using you too!!" Bolin yelled at Asami as he put his shirt back on and walked away.

"What was all that about, Mako?" Asami blinked, she had no idea what Mako really was.

"I don't want to talk about it, Asami." Mako breathed, his shoulders handing as we grabbed a rob and walked out.

Soon Bolin found himself at Air temple island, remembering how Korra has offered for him to stay there.

"Bolin?" Yongten asked as she was watering her favorite snake plant.

"Oh, uhh hi again, Yongten." He waved distantly.

"Are you alright?" She asked, looking at him with concern.

"Umm yeah why wouldn't I be?" He gave a big smile, coming his hair back his finger.

Yongten smiled; "It's just why are you here, I thought Korra went to your place."

"Oh no that was Mako's. And I need a place to stay, if that alright."

"Of course, we actually had a room set up for you. Come on I'll take you to it." Yongten smiled as she was waved for him to follow her.

Suddenly Ikki, Meelo and Jinora all ran out to greet him.

"You're finally here! Welcooome to Air Temple Island. Your new home." Ikki smiles excitedly.

"Yes, welcome to *Pointing at himself.* my domain." Meelo said with pride.

"Well, aren't you sweet, little monk child." Bolin slightly leaned forward with a smile.

Pabu jumped down from Bolin's shoulder and ran in between Meelo's legs before running to the right. Meelo bend over and looked through his legs at Pabu.

"What's that fuzzy creature?" Meelo asked.

"That is a fire ferret. An arboreal mammal common to the bamboo forest of the central Earth Kingdom." Jinora explained, matter of factually.

Ikki jumped out from behind Jinora and gasped in delight: "He's cuuuute!"

"Alright, that's enough, I think, Bolin would like to go to his room, it's getting late." Yongten said, holding a water vase.

"No, no, it's alright." Bolin waved, closing his eyes with a smile, the kids were keeping his mind off his own brother. That was a start.

Ikki lifted her hands up as they stopped walking. "And now for the grand tour" She speedily spike. "The flying bison sleep in those caves down there. And that's the temple Great Uncle Aang built. And that's the greenhouse where we grow the vegetables we eat."

Bolin blinked. "I have a couple of questions." Ikki stoped smiling and looked at him as he tried to mimic her quick talk. "Is this an all vegetarian island? Is that where you train airbending? Do we have to wear Air Acolyte clothes? Do we each get our own sky bison? And final question, how many trees are on this island?" Bolin asked in a rush making Yongten chuckled.

Ikki thought carefully than answered; "Yes. Yes. No. No. Ten thousand five hundred and fifty two."

"So, where are we going to be staying?" Bolin asked Yongten.

"You're a boy. Boys have to stay on the boys' side." Meelo answered for her.

"Well than why don't you take him, Meelo. I'm sure he's tired."

"Right! This way!" Meelo said sternly.

"Bye Yongten." Bolin waved with an innocent smile.

"Goodnight." Yongten smiled. "What a interesting guy." She breathed.

I walked up just a second later. "Who was that?" I asked nonchalantly.

"That's was Bolin. He decided to stay here." She answered.

"that's weird, well I'm going to bed see ya Yongten."

"Takumi!!" Korra yelled as she ran up.

"What?! What happened?!" I asked as I ran toward her.

"You know how I was over at Asmai's. Well I over heard something. I think Sato is involved with Amon!" She said like it was the gossip of the decade.

"I know. I've been doing an investigation with Yakuza. Maybe if you came along you'd know that."

"You didn't tell me?" Korra asked, her eyes narrowed.

"You weren't interested. Why should I?" I asked back, folding my arms. Getting tired of teenage bullshit.

"Because... I'm friend! I thought we told each other everything!" Korra yelled, waving her arms.

"Korra, don't start with me! You've had no interest in being my friend anymore! You haven't been there for me. And I'm fine with that, just don't act like my hiding this from you." I snapped, I had no idea I felt that way until I said it. It shook me more than it shook her.

"I-i do want to be your friend Takumi, I'm tired of knowing the same old people and doing the same old thing! I— I don't know..." Korra breathed, her eyes wide.

"Sound like you don't know what you want to do. And that's alright, Korra. Just take the time you need. Tomorrow we arrest Sato and the trial begins." I said as I walked away.

"I want to go!" Korra yelled.

"Alright, you sure?" I asked, my hands in my pocket.

"Huh. Positive." Korra slightly smiled.

"See ya to tomorrow than." I waved and yawned.

~~**~~

I used air bending through my kick as the door to Sato's mansion bursted open with the Yakuza, Yongten and Korra behind me.
The butler gasped as we walked into his overly lugubrious house. This man didn't know opposition, never did.

"Sato! Come out, where are you?!" I yelled as I walked to the room with the big doors.

"What's going on? Why are they the Yakuza here?! This is our home!" Mako yelled, running down the huge staircase, in a robe.

"I overheard him on the phone yesterday. Asami, I don't know how to tell you this, but I think your father might be involved with the Equalists." Korra said regretfully.

"What? I don't believe this!" Asami yelled towards me as she walked to his office. I opened the door to his office to find him sitting there as if he expected us. Didn't doubt it either.

"Ahh Avatar Takumi What a pleasant surprise." Sato smiled.

"Doubt it. Hiroshi Sato, you're under arrest for supplying the Equalists with weapons, money and machinery." I said, holding my glider tightly.

"My father is innocent. Just because we're not benders doesn't mean we support those awful Equalists!" Asami yelled, standing next him.

"You can't unjustly arrest me, Avatar, under what evidence? This isn't the olden days, you don't authority anymore!" Sato with a smug tone to him.

"I have more authority over Republic City than you corrupt rich pricks would like to think. Under law that Sokka, and Avatar Gyawa had in-placed I have full 'authority' to any arrest what I saw feat! Take him." I yelled, stepping forward. As the Yakuza stepped in and hand cuffed.

"Mako, don't just let this happen!" Asami yelled.

"Patience, Asami, there's nothing we can do now." Mako whispered as he fold her gently.

"She's also an equalist, we found these in her room." Josuke yelled running in, holding equality gloves and a badge.

"Like father like daughter." Josen Josen rolled his.

"Good grief." Jotaro sighed, holding his hands as he approached Asami.

Did something change? Was Asami really an equalist?!

"You went through my room?! Those aren't mine! I've never seen them before!" Asami yelled as they cuffed her to.

"Avatar, leave my daughter out of this, she's no equalist!!" Sato yelled as he and her were being taken away.

"I can't believe it... she couldn't be." Korra breathed as everyone walked out. Leaving me alone with Mako.

I turned to see him with a cunning smirk.

"What the hell did you do Mako?" I glared, holding my glider tightly.

"I'm not the one throwing her in jail, Avatar." Mako said, folding his arms.

"You set Asami up! Why?!" I pointed, raising my voice.

"If anything were to happen to the old man, or Asami I get..." Mako walked closer out of the shadows and looked me dead in the eyes. "All the benefits from Sato industry's."

"What happened to you?" I breathed from my shook. I knew he had changed. I didn't think this much.

"I realized what the world truly is. A big lie, a big fake game. And survival is winning, everything is a lie."

~~~***~~~
Yongten, the Leader of Yakuza Jae and I were about to walked in the courtroom, Sato's trial was going to be so long and boring... but Lin called us out.
"Jea, what are doing?! You cross the line a lot but this is too far!" Lin yelled, her eyes fixed on Jae. Did they hate each other?
"Oh what did I do this time?" Jae said with a smug tone, rolling her shoulders back.
"I had evidence on Cabbage Corp, you can't just through Sato in jail because of a feeling!!" Line snapped.
Only Jea just starting chuckling, and folded her arms. "Cabbage Corp?! Are you even a detective?"
"Jae." I said, not liking that she was mocking Lin.
"Get you and your thugs out of here!!" Lin yelled referring to the Yakuza as we walked off.
Mako that prick, Tenzin, Tarrlock, and Korra were all there waiting very patiently. Some less than others.
"What if he's innocent?" Korra breathed. She clearly took Asami's arrest hard.
"If he really is innocent than I don't know. We have evedidence, and three eye witnesses, and three lawyers. He has six." I said matter of factly.
I sighed. Time to get this over with. I really hated this part.
There was too much evidence that he was guilty and so...
"We find sato industry guilty of all charges." Tarrlock said as he hit the hammer thing. "We sentience him to life in prison..." Tarrlock continued to say how his business would be shut down.
I took my feet off the ledge and looked back at Mako who was particularly smiling from ear to ear. I was playing right into his hands!!
I leaned on my glider as I waited for everyone to get out of the court.
"Hey guys, you gonna go grab some pizza, my starving." I smiled at Korra and Yongten. Trying to hold up Korra mood.
"Sounds good! Maybe we could get some ice cream too." Yongten said running up.
"Avatar." Tarrlock called out. I sighed and dragged my shoulder down.
"What?" I snapped.
"I simply wanted to congratulate you on putting a stop to Amon's associate. And I wanted to thank you." He smiled politely. But I didn't buy a word of it.
"Right... what do you really want Tarrlock?"
"I wanted to ask if you'd join my task force, we could—"
"Not this shit again." I sighed. "No. If your smart, which if you got this far I guess you are. You'd stay out of it and know your place."
"Oh I know my place, Avatar, but do you know yours? Your relic, a thing of the past, no one really needs the avatar anymore—" Tarrlock grinned.
"Hey don't speak to her like that!" Korra yelled, grabbing my shoulder.
I smirked, "Let's go Korra. My hungry." And we walked away.
