Chapter 3: The Revelation
One afternoon before everything would start I decided it would be a good time to try out my Avatar mojo and continue with myself, through me, Gyawa who could be me.
'Hmmm.' I hummed, taking another bite of delicious meat.
Soon I found myself in the weird void that is the Avatar State and sitting across from me was Gyawa. Looking into a mirror for once in my life was pleasant.
All that muscle, all that hair, all that clear skin. Uhuh, that was me.
"So... are you me?" I asked, leaning in.
"Yes, I am you." She smirked.
"No you don't get it, are you me?!" I pointed at myself with a thump up.
"Yeah, you're me!!! This isn't a Jackie Chan movie!" She yelled with no patience.
"Yup you're me." I nodded with a mysterious smirked rising; "Hey you gonna..."
"Ha I mean is that even possible?" She grinned.
"I mean if we can move anything is possible."
Yet somehow when I was in the avatar state someone tapped my shoulder and caused me to leave. I sighed and looked up to see Bolin.
He gave a smile and waved; "Hi, Takumi."
"Hi, you looking for Korra?" I asked, lately she had been training with them for the championship tournament.
"Uh no, I was actually wondering if you had seen Mako?" He put his hands together in a praying gesture.
I stood up, this was already exciting. Mako taken instead of Bolin? "Why? He's missing?" I asked, folding my arms.
"Yeah I went over to his house, he wasn't there, I tried his favorite restaurant and nothing, I tried his girl's house, nothing."
"He has a girlfriend?" I rose an eyebrow. This was definitely different.
"Yeah... and no. I don't know anymore. I was hoping he was here." He fumbled, pointing around.
"Don't worry, Bolin, we'll find him. Do you know what's he's been up to recently?" I asked, folding my arms.
"Oh nah, he doesn't talk to me about his business. Says it's too dangerous." He did his best impersonation of Mako making me laugh a little.
"Ok, how come it sounds like your brothers in a gang?" I rose an eyebrow with a smirk.
"Well He is but I can explain!" He quickly rose his hands. "It's not exactly volunteer! We never wanted to be involved with the Triple Threats. Oh, I hope he's ok." He began to pass around.
"Don't worry about it, Bolin, just tell me where the Triple Threats headquarters is, I'll get Korra and we'll go get him. Sound good?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Yeah! Thanks, Takumi" He brightly smiled.
"No problem." I nodded and left to get Korra who was training.

We cut the looking time drastically, although it was still Night.
We all got off Nagga and walked to the door
"Wait! We have to be very careful! There's usually guards at the door." Bolin whispered, creeping around.
Korra was about to dismember the poor door before I grabbed her shoulder tightly when I saw Mako in there through the small window. Talking to someone.
"Korra wait! There's people in there." I whispered, moving quietly to the door and listened in.
"So what is it you have to tell me that's so important it couldn't wait till after a turf war, Mako." The lead gangster asked.
"Oh not much, only that I started the turf war. And what if I told you everyone one but Your pet here worked for me now?" That was Mako talking alright, I wanted to smirk, This was pretty exciting. But Bolin was right there, he looked shook and worried all in one.
"Haha good one Mako, you always had a way with knowing when I needed a joke." The old man said, clearly knowing it wasn't a joke.
"I suppose it alright to let you go out with a laugh. Now, what kind of coffin do you want? A wooden box or just good old flames?" Mako asked I peeked to see him standing over the Triple Threats leader's chair with a fireball in his hand and a smirked easing it way on his clear face.
I could get used to this Mako.
"What?" Bolin whispered in horror, listening to every word.
Suddenly a loud bang hit the back door and equalists ran in, quickly knapping anyone they could.
This time I busted in, For the most part, Mako and the Triple Threat leader seemed to be doing ok.
I kicked fire at one, while Mako turned in surprised to see us. A second was all one equalist needed before he grabbed Mako.
Korra growled, bending water of her pouch and aiming straight at one. But he weaves through it and quickly chi blocked her.
"Korra!!" I snapped, air bending with my glider at him.
He dodged every attack and ran back with the others.
I quickly ran after them, one kicked the couch in my path. I jumped over with air bending before busting through the door to see them already driving off.
"Bolin!" I yelled, he then earth bended the ground around the equalist truck but it freakin missed.
I hissed, scratching my hair. "Holy sh**, damn this is all my fault."
"What was Mako saying?" Bolin asked, clearly still, looking down at his hands.
"We can't think about that right now, Bolin we have to get them back!"
"But how? It's not like we can just sniff them out with Nagga!" Bolin rose his voice, his eyes wide, shaking my shoulders.
"I have an idea. Let's go." I said, pointing up, acting like I knew actually what to do when I was actually just gonna copy homework from the show. "If Mako really did start a turf war we're not safe here."

We went to the park and waited, Bolin, paced around, he didn't want to waste any time.
Although before I knew it I cuddled up with Meuki and fell asleep.
Yet before I knew it I woke up to; "Equality now! We want Equality now!" And Bolin slobbering in the grass in a deep sleep.
I gently kicked him wake and walked over.
"Uhh, it's you again! You can not silence me Avatar!" The equalist yelled, pointing at me.
"I didn't come here to fight," I rose my hands up; "I just wanted to look at your pamphlets. I'm a little curious." I smirked, trying not to start something.
I then walked over to his table and grabbed a few.
"Hey! I didn't say you could!" He yelled.
"Thanks." I smiled widely before climbing on Nagga and running off with Bolin and Meuki.
"Get back here, I didn't say you could take those!!!"
~<>~
"Wait so why did we take those again?" Bolin asked as Paboo and Meuki had a Wild West Staredown.
"Amon didn't take the biggest mob's leader without a reason, and if I'm right it has something to do with this revolution." I said, my hand on my chin, looking at all the paper's backs.
"Wow, you got all that just from looking at a piece of paper? You must be really smart." Bolin smiled.
"Ha. Hardly." I chuckled, remembering I thought a meme of "just do it" was inspiring.
As I put the pamphlets together Bolin asked; "Uh it's a puzzle."
I placed it on the map right next to us and saw where it was. "There, let's go!"
~<>~
"This is the place right?" Bolin asked, by the time we found it, it was night time.
"Yupp... at least I think it is." I said. Somehow we magically came up with the new clothes.
"I'm your sister twice removed ok?" I whispered over as we walked up.
"Uhh yeah sure. But I never got the twice-removed stuff." He whispered back.
"Ha neither do I." I chuckled, stuffing my hands in my pockets.
"This is a private event. No one gets in without an invitation." The buffed bouncer said, holding up a hand.
"But I'm her brother, twice removed." Bolin said with a blink.
I mentally facepalmed. "you mean this?" I ask, putting up a pamphlet with Amon's face on it.
"The revolution is upon us, my brother and sister." He smiled and opened the door.
"Wow, that's a lot of people who hate benders. Ahh, I just hope Mako is ok." Bolin said as we walked into the old factory.
"Come on." I waved already walking down.
"Please welcome your hero, your savior, Amon!" An announcer said as he came out like he was about to bust some sweet jams.
"My quest for equality began many years ago when I was a boy." He began to speak, and like most speeches (even if this guy's voice was cool) I zoned out a bit. "Than he took my face. I've been forced to hide behind a mask ever since."
That didn't stop my baby from shining!!
"As you know the Avatar has recently arrived in Republic City." People that began to boo. "And if she were here, she would tell you that bending brings balance to the world. But she is wrong, the only thing bending has brought to the world is suffering. It has been the cause of every war in every era. But that is about to change."
To be honest, even from my past life as Gyawa there were a lot of people who hated fire benders, who hated benders in general, someone like Amon was bound to pop up some time.
"I know you have been wondering, what is the revelation? You are about to get your answer."
I looked over to see Bolin already creeped out with wide eyes.
"Since the beginning of time, the spirits have acted as guardians of our world. And they have spoken to me. They say the Avatar has failed humanity that is why the spirits have chosen me to usher in a new area of balance."
"Is it just me or is this guy a little Cho Cho?" Bolin whispered.
"They have granted me a power that will make equality a reality. The power to take a person's bending away. Permanently."
"That's impossible! Right?" Bolin asked, nudging me.
"Nah, Gyawa did it twice." I said in a whisper only to make him freak out worst.
"Now for a demonstration. Please welcome Lighting Bolt Zolt. Leader of the Triple Threat Triad. And one of the most notorious criminals in republic city." They walked in about six men who were all tied up and took off the bags over their heads. Mako and Korra both there.
"Ah boo yourself!"
"There's Mako!" Bolin gasped.
"Listen, I'm gonna switch off the light when that happens cause as much chaos as you can, grab Mako and Korra than meet me out back." This time Amon was waiting for me. Taking the Avatar's bodyguard I was bound to show, the last thing I needed was steam everywhere to reveal my location to him.
"Alright." He nodded.
As I walking off I heard him call out. "Hey, Takumi. Good luck."
"You'll need it more." I smirked and walked backstage.
As I looked for the light switches I could slightly hear what was going on. Pretty much the same thing.
"You're fire bending is gone. Forever. The era of bending is over, a new area of equality has begun!"
For a second I thought he was gonna say the time of the orc had come.
Anyways I found light switches just sitting there. "Well, That was just too easy." I smirked, quickly Turning them all off.
Every light but the hallway lights turned off, I heard people getting louder in confusion and some bending so I quickly ran out.
Making my way through a factory was like working through a maze. I always hate it.
When I finally got out I saw Korra, Mako, and Bolin leaving on Nagga and Amon on the balcony watching.
I stood on a water mill, almost right next to Amon, and I could swear we made eye contact.
"Till next time, Avatar." Amon said, in a calm tone.
I smirked before getting on my glider and flying after them.
~<>~
I found them outside the area standing around a lamppost.
"Ah man, I'll glad that's over with." Bolin sighed, leaning on his knees.
"Thanks for helping us, Avatar." Mako gave a small smile, fitting his black gloves.
Bolin gave a bow with a tight smile. "Yeah taking someone's bending away, that just... well, that's just scary." Bolin gave a freaked out face.
"I know, I'm still shaking." Korra added, looking over at me.
"Also what was all that back there Mako? Where you forced to say all that. Please tell me you were." Bolin questioned, putting a hand on Mako's shoulder.
"Wait, you heard all that?" Mako rose an eyebrow.
I wanted to take a seat and drink some tea just as it was about to get good.
"Yeah! tell me you didn't start a turf war!" Bolin's eyes widened, talking in a more serious tone.
"I told you to stay out of it, Bolin!" Mako growled, flipping his hands away
"Wh—" Bolin was almost mouth dropped as Mako put his back to us.
"And what were you three doing there anyway?" Mako asked, turning back.
"Saving you that's what! Bolin thought something bad happened to you!" Korra defended, clenching a fist.
"I didn't ask for help! I almost had that bastard!" Mako's hands turned to fist looking at the ground.
"If it wasn't for us, you would be a none bender right about now, and then you got Amon to thank for taking 'bastard's' bending." Korra yelled, walking up and pointing at him.
"Oh shut up!" Mako yelled back, walking past her and straight to me. I couldn't help but grin, I don't know why but he just a hundred times hotter. "Stay out of it, Avatar, this is a warning." He growled, pointing at me.
My grin turned into a full-blown laugh, holding my stomach. "I'm sorry that's just funny," I still laughed, wiping away a tear. "You realize I'm the Avatar right?"
"Like I said stay out of it." He said one more time before walking off into the darkness of the streets.
I folded my arms and sighed. 'Ohhhh, this is getting interesting.' I thought.
~<>~
"Thank goodness! I was just about to send out a search party are you alright?" Tenzin asked as he and Yongten ran up.
"I'm good, I'm great never better, I ran into A turf war, than an equalist rally, than I realized I actually need to be avatar." I said in a dumbfounded tone, leaning on the rails of the walkway.
"Takumi, you need to finish your training first." Tenzin protested.
"I saw Amon taking someone's bending away tonight." I randomly said, still looking at the city lights. Who knew one day I could say I built a city and saved a world from OAZI!
"That's... that's impossible. Only the Avatar has ever possessed that ability." Yeah, no shit Tenten.
"I saw him do it. He was going to take mine away." Korra said, looking at her muscly arms.
"Have you ever stopped the think why? The only reason I'm able to be because I blocked their energy. A more sketchy version would be to block their chi. Avatar Gyawa did something very similar. With blood bending." I finished with a frantic pose to show the situation was SEErrrioussss!!!
"What?! My mo— Avatar Gyawa was a blood bender? How do you know this?" Tenzin spat, turning his head at me like his head depended on it.
I mean I was talking about myself though... I shrugged as leaned my elbows on the rails. "She told me."
"You were able to make contact with your past lives and you didn't say anything?" He yelled, trying to keep his calm.
I screwed up, Korra was with me the whole time so I couldn't say I randomly had a vision!! "I didn't feel like I had to. But the important thing Tenzin is that Amon is a blood bender. It's the only explanation." Or that he was an energy bender... whichever.
"If that's true This revolution is more dangerous than ever. No one is safe."
