"You guys are going to be done soon right? We've got a lot of ground to cover if we want to make it to Omashu today." Sokka asked as he floated on the river with Momo on his stomach. We were there training before going to Omashu. "What like your ready to go right now naked guy." Katara replied as Aang made a dive. "I could be ready in two minutes. Seriously, when ever." Sokka had is hair down, it was something you didn't see everyday. "You were showing me the octopus form." I asked. "Right let me See your stance. Great. Okay let's see what you got." I did the stance with my hands close to my center. Katara started throwing ice at me. I grabbed each one with the water tentacles, then grabbed her leg. She nodded as she saw I had won. "You make a fine octopus, pupil Gyawa." Katara bowed with a grin. "Well the nuns always said I had too many hands to get in trouble with." I replied with my hands now on my waist. "Hey you hear that?" I asked as we heard. "Don't fall in love with the traveling girl she'll leave you broken hearted." The hippies sang as they walked up. "Hey river people." They were wearing clothes from all nations. "We're not river people." Katara replied. "Your not. then what kind of people are ya?" The one playing the guitar asked. "Just people." "Aren't we all brother." He replied to Aang in his hippiedom. "Who are you?" Sokka asked as he stomped up. "I'm Chong, and this is my wife lily. We're nomads. Happy to go where ever the wind takes us. Hey oh!" He said at the end going in song. "You guys are nomads, that's great! We're nomads!" Aang and we hugged as he pointed at me. "Hey me too." "I know you just said that." Aang replied with a confused tone. "Oh. Nice underwear." Chong said to half naked Sokka. He immediately grabbed Momo and used him as cover to walk off.

"Hey Sokka, you should hear some of these stories. These guys have been everywhere." Aang said as Sokka walked up after putting on clothes. We were all just chilling on Appa's legs with the hippies. "Well, not everywhere little arrow head. But where we haven't been we've heard about through stories and songs." Chong waved his hand like their was wind and had the most hipster voice. "They said they'll take us to see a giant night crawler." "On the way there's a water fall that creates a never ending rainbow." Moku added to Aang's fascination of rare beasts. "Look I hate to be the wet blanket here but since Katara is busy, I guess it's up to me. We need to get to Oamshu, no side tracks, no worms, and definitely no rainbows." Sokka replied everyone of us being a sixties flower mind. "Wow, sounds like someone has a case of destination fiver! Your worried too much of where your going." Chong slightly chuckled. "You got to focus less on the where and more on the going." Lily said as she braided Katara's hair. "O-ma-shu." Sokka spit at us, making sure it went through all the groove. "Sokkas' right, we need to find king Bumi so Gyawa can learn earthbending somewhere safe." Katara said as I got up. "Oh sounds like your headed to Omashu." Chong replied, Sokka couldn't believe what he heard and slapped his own forehead. "There's an old story about a secret pass, right through the mountains." Chong explained in a story telling voice. "Is this real or a legend?" Katara asked. "Ah it's a real legend. And it's as old as earthbending itself." As Chong finished he started playing his guitar. "Two lovers, forbidden from one the other. The war divides their people. And on a mountain disused them apart. In a dark path to be together." "Yeah, I forget the next couple lines but huh then it goes." "Secret Tunnel! Secret Tunnel! Through the mountain! Secret, Secret, Secret, Secret Tunnel! Yeah." Chong finished with a stroke at the guitar. "I think we'll just stick with flying. We've dealt with the fire nation before. We'll be fine." Sokka said in my direction as we started to walk to Appa's head. "Yeah thanks for the help but Appa hates going underground. And we new to do what ever makes Appa most comfortable." Aang added as we started to leave.
When we did we regretted everything, fire balls raged all around us. They seemed to be no end to them. "Secret love cave. Let's go." Sokka said to the hippies as we found them chilling under a tree. We got to the cave and when we were thinking about not going in the fire nation showed up. "And Die!" We ran in and they locked us in, we were stuck. So Sokka decided it would be best if we figured it out like a maze.
"Sokka this is the tenth dead end you led us too." Katara sighed as we walked to a dead end again. "This doesn't make any sense we've already came through here." Sokka defended. "We don't need a map, we just need love. The little guy knows it." Chong said referring to Aang. "Yeah but I wouldn't mind a map also." He replied. "They're something strange here. There's only one explanation, the tunnels are changing." Sokka looked back up from the map at us with a dread.
"The tunnels they're changing. It must be the curse. I knew we shouldn't have come down here." Ching gasped as he held his head. "Right if only we'd listen to you." Sokka mocked. "Everyone be quite. Listen." As Katara said this we could hear squeals and screeches coming our way. We looked to see wolf-bats flying towards us. "It's a giant flying thing with teeth!" Chong said as he crowed in a corner. "No it's a wolf-bat!" Moku shouted as one landed. Appa started to try and attack the wolf-bats. In his proses he started to hit the sides of the tunnels. "Appa! Stop!" I shouted at him, but he wouldn't listen. He went straight into a column that was holding up the three tunnels. It cracked and immediately started to collapse. As fast as I could I pushed the hippies and Sokka out of the way of the rocks. I ran to them as quick as my feet let me. I didn't want to be stuck with Katara. As I landed the rocked crashed to the ground behind me. Sokka immediately started trying to dig his way back to his sister. After two seconds he stopped. "Yeah it's no use we're separated. But at least you have us." As soon as Chong finished Sokka started desperately trying to dig even more. "Sokka it will be fine." I said as I put a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh don't let the caving let you down. Don't let the falling rocks turn your smile into a frown. When the tunnels are dark that's when you need a clown, hey! Don't let the caving get you down, Sokka." Chong sang as we walked down a tunnel that we worn't even sure of. Sokka was just annoyed as he held a torch. "Oh come on that's not a song! This is a song." I said as I started to play Hemorrhage by Fuel on a guitar. "What did you expect to find? Was it something you left behind. Don't you remember, anything I said? When I said, Don't fall away. And leave me to myself. Don't fall away and leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands again. Love lies bleeding." I dragged my voice just like the singer and everyone looked at me like I was a genius, except Sokka who was annoyed all the same. "Where did you hear that one?" Lily asked in amazement. "It's an old air nomad song." I replied, I knew I could get away with it since Aang wasn't there. "No it's not." Sokka sighed. "You don't know my culture!" I defended with my head high.
"Ah great! Your plans have led us to another dead end." Moku said as Sokka did lead us to another dead end. "At least I'm thinking of ideas and trying to get us out of here. Moku." Sokka replied he was about to flip. "Wow wait a minute, we're thinking of ideas. Cause I've been think of and I was for and hour now." Chong asked. "Yes! We're all thinking of ideas!" Sokka shouted back. "Well then listen to this. Love is the Key out of here, then all we need to do is play a love song." Sokka just slapped his forehead , he couldn't believe these people were so stupid. I could, they were hippies. "Hey I know just the one." I almost shouted as I grabbed the guitar again. At least I thought I sounded good. "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you. That look in your eye is so familiar a gling. And I know it's true these visions how certain all they seem. But if I know you I know what you'll do. You'll love me at once the way you did once, upon a dream."
"Even if your lost you can't lose the love that's in your heart. Mmm." Chong sang before more Wolf-Bats flew past us. Sokka started throwing his arms up in panic. "Hey you saved us Sokka!"
"No, they were trying to get away from something." Sokka replied, his mind went over where when he thought of it. "From what?" Chong chuckled back. Just then loud booms came from a tunnel and out came "Badger-Moles!" I stated as I held my staff tight. They ran up and started earth bending around us. In the ruckus, Sokka fell and touched a guitar and hit a note. They immediately stopped and listened. "Hey those things are music lovers!" Chong said with relief. "Badger-moles coming towards me. Come on guys help me out." Sokka sang terrible but it sounded good enough for giant beasts. "Big bad Badger-Moles ripping the tunnels, hate wolfs bat but love the sounds." "Come on you hippies! Don't be so chippy, Let's ride the beastie creatures to the country side." I and Chong sang.
"Sokka! Gyawa!" We heard Katara shout as we reached the end of the tunnel. The Badger-Moles took us all the way through. "How did you guys get out?" Sokka asked as we ran up.
"Just like the legends says we let love lead the way." Aang relied looking at me. I immediately knew what that meant. "Really? We let huge ferocious beasts lead our way." Sokka said waving to them. "Why is your forehead all red?" Katara asked. "Nobody react to what I'm about to tell you. I think that kid might be the Avatar." Chong whispered to me and Katara, Sokka immediately slapped his forehead.
"So are you guys going to come to Omashu with us?" Aang asked. "Nope." Moku replied with no thought. "Okay. Thanks for everything Moku." Aang waved as they started to walk away. "Gyawa, I want you to have this." Chong said holding out a guitar. "Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I jumped up and down before hugging Chong. "Your a good singer." He added. "Aw." I sighed as I grabbed the brown guitar. "Sokka, I hope you learned a little something about not letting the plans get in the way of the journey." Chong said as he hugged Sokka. "Just play your songs." Sokka muttered as he started blushing. "Hey good plan!" Chong replied before walking to his friends as he sang.
"The journey was long and annoying but now you get to see what it's really about. The destination. I preisent to you the earth kingdom city of Om-" Sokka said as we walked up a hill to see fire nation flags. "You mean the fire nation city." I stated as I leaned on my staff. "Oh no."
