Sokka X Gyawa Book Three
Part One (awaking)
"Twinkle Sparks, that's gotta be you." Toph smiled, I slowly walked up the deck like a old lady.
"Gyawa, you're awake!" Sokka gasped, running up in Fire Nation armor.
"Sokka?" I smirked, still hard to believe.
"Ahh, I'm so glad you're awake." He sounded like he had a huge smile on and gave me a tight hug.
"Gyawa!" Aang also gasped, running up and hugged me like a soft stuffed pillow.
"Hey. What's up?" I asked, with a tired voice and a slight smile.
"I can't believe it, Your finally awake." Katara said, as she hugged me.
And yet for some reason I began to feel dizzy, like I was looking in every direction. "Uh oh, somebody catch her I think she gonna-" Toph said, before my eyes closed and everything turned black.
****
"And the best part is, the eclipse isn't even our best advantage. We have a secret... you." Sokka leaned over and whispered.
"Me?" I asked pointing to myself.
"Yep. The whole world thinks you're dead. isn't that great?!" Sokka squealed shaking my shoulders.
I just pushed his hands away and sat back down not saying a word. I was getting tried of acting the part. I already knew everything and yet had to play the roll.
"I know this is so messed up!" Aang yelled putting a hand on my shoulder.
"No it's great! It means the Fire Nation won't be hunting us anymore. And even better they won't be expecting you on the day of black sun." Sokka tried to explain to Aang who had his mind set.
"Um okay if you say so. I don't mean to sound lazy but I need to lay down." I softly stated as I slowly got up. As I was walking away I turned around to see a Fire Nation ship approaching.
"We'll handle this, Gyawa." Aang reassured making me want to go back to my bed even more.
I then stopped at the hallway entrance I was too far to hear anything. Sokka followed me, we peeked out the door.
"So, Gyawa, we finally have some alone time." Sokka smirked, very mischievously.
"Seriously? They're in the middle of a fight right now." I smiled, wanting to laugh but the soreness would come out.
"Even better. No one will notice us." Sokka walked closer and is it just me or did he look hotter in a Fire Nation uniform?
I seriously wanted to laugh as Sokka placed a hand on my waist, but it immediately made me tense from the pain. "Oh! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to—"
"Yeah, yeah, just get out there boomerang." I smiled, keeping to my old lady position.
"We still got a few more—" Sokka was about to say but I immediately put a finger on his lips.
"Don't even think about saying something cliche." I snarled, letting go of his mouth.
He held a smirk before attacking my lips with his, and resting a hand above me on the wall. What were we? In a high school cliche??!?
He slightly let go still with a cocky smirk. "I was so worried after Ba S—"
"Yeah, yeah, get out there lover boy." I said with a fake eye roll.
He smiled and ran out.
"How we doing?" Toph asked as I slowly walked out.
"Things couldn't get much worst." Sokka replied to the blind awesome girl. Just then the giant sea monster popped up and hissed at us.
"The universe just loves proving me wrong doesn't it?!" Sokka yelled as he put his arms out.
"You make it too easy." Toph remarked Making me chuckle and then regret moving too fast. The sea beast instead of fighting us, wrapped itself around the other ship.
"Thank you, the universe."
Part Two (the headband)
Typical, typical fan normal Aang. Well more like the normal stuff. Aang dancing with Katara normal. Although what wasn't normal was Sokka walking up to me with a smirk.
"Gyawa, let's dance." He sparkled a confident smile and bright blue eyes, holding out his hands.
"You're just trying to put do yours sister huh?" I smirked through nerves, I seriously didn't want to dance.
In almost ran Sokka lead me to the dance floor, I had no idea what to do. I was fine when people saw me Bending, but for some reason I froze when it came to dancing. And on top of that even one was looking at us.
"Come on!" Sokka smiled, doing some dance I never seen before, it looked like it was from the Water Tribe.
However as soon as I was about to move we all heard: "Those two with the headbands!" The headmaster yelled as he pointed at me and Aang. Thank god.
"Kuzon run!" I shouted as I gragged his arms. Completely leaving to take care of himself.
"Uh oh!" He stared before we split.
"That's not the one. Don't let them leave the cave." I could hear as the crowd put headbands on to confuse the guards.
Without hesitation I earth bended the end of the cave up and we got away on Appa.
~*~
"We're safe, Sokka, you can take off the mustache now." Katara said, when we were on Appa flying away.
"Oh no I can't. It's permanently glued to my skin." He replied stroking his bread.
"It doesn't exactly suit you..." I thought loud, Sokka immediately taking it off. "And yet it doesn't look bad." I rubbed my chin in thought making him sigh.
"Wait a go dancey pants. I think you really did help those kids, you taught them to be free." Toph said, with a content smile.
"I don't know it was just a dance party that's all." Aang replied.
"Well that was some dance party Aang." Katara leaned over and kissed Aang on the cheek.
"Flameyo sir. Flame-e-oh-." Sokka clapped still in his 'father' voice.
"Sokka, it doesn't work without the bread." I grinned.
"The bread that you told me to get red of!" Sokka rose his voice.
"I said no such thing!"
"Yes, Just right now! Didn't you hear it Toph?!"
"I hear a lot of things, my not sure that one was one."
"What?!?"
"Hahah I win!"
"My bread!"
Part Three (Nightmares and Day Dreams)
"Gyawa, you should get some sleep. You've been awake too long." Sokka said, as I twitched around the next day.
"Mm... okay."
"I don't think you get it." I turned and saw Sokka looking even better than usual. What's up with this recently?!?
"Sokka?" I asked, walking a little closer.
"Gyawa, please, sleep." He said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Look, Sokka, I know you probably already know this but... I" I stumbled with what to say to those beautiful blue eyes.
"What?" He asked, tilting his head at me, his hair drifting to one side.
"Sokka, I love you! There I said it!" I burst out and let out air as he stood stunned. "I didn't at first." I finished, before he walked closer and
"I'm so irsitable. I know." kissed me.
I stood shocked for a few seconds before embracing him. "What are we doing?" He asked with a smile.
"What our hearts have been telling us to do for a long time. Sokka, your my forever boy." I said before I carried him bridal style and we kissed again.
"Huh- Gyawa." Sokka cleared his throat. "You don't have to do that just in your dreams you know."
I soon found I was holding air and was making the worst lip movements.
"Arruhhhj!!!" I gasped and immediately blushed too bright for the sun. God, am I a pervert?
"I was just saying how you need to sleep." He finished sounding annoyed.
"Huh-okay." I fixed my hair and tried to act like that didn't happen.
"What were you doing?" He asked putting a hand on his waist.
"I kinda day dreamed there."
"What was your dream about?" He rose a playful eyebrow.
"Ahh..." I twitched. "I'm gonna be honest here." I fumbled. "...you..." I finished in such a small voice, looking at his feet.
Out of no where he bursted out laughing, holding his stomach. He was laughing so much that it began to make me smile, and before I knew it we were both on the soft grass laughing.
"Apparently I'm too irristable." Sokka laughed making me laugh even harder.
Somehow everything was gone for those minutes, the worry and stress, just gone.
Sokka chuckled and flopped on top of me, he was surprisingly light, resting his chin on my stomach.
Starring at the bright blue sky, the warm sun on my shin, the soft breeze in the grass, it suddenly felt so peaceful then before. And before I knew it I was asleep.
Part Four (the invasion)
~*~
After I changed to my air nomad clothes and took the bandanna off, I was ready to show the world the Avatar wasn't dead.
When we were ready to go, I realized Sokka wasn't around, so I looked for him. "We're about to leave," I reminded the Water Tribe boy, as I flew behind him.
"I messed up, Gyawa." He stated in a disappointed tone.
"How so?"
"The invasion plan was my moment of truth and I completely flunked it. I just fell apart." He explained as he stood in his Water Tribe warrior armor.
"That wasn't your moment of truth, it's on the battlefield with the soldiers, to truly command them." I replied, standing next to him proudly. I knew that I needed to do, I had to keep things exactly the same.
"My dad explained the plan perfectly and inspired everyone. Like a real leader should." He kept saying.
"Are you listening to me? It's out there not here." I answered with a grin, stepping in front of him and holding his soft cheeks. They were too soft.
"You seem so confident about everything. How do you know we're going to win?" Sokka asked, with a more positive voice, rapping his hands around my waist.
"If you go on the field like you're going to lose, you're definitely going to get what you thought." I answered, looking at the rising sun, that was the que for everything that day.
***
We went through the gates of Azulon with ease. When we surfaced for air I got ready to separate from the main group.
"So this is it huh?" Aang gave a worried sighed.
"Are you ready to let the world know the avatar is alive?" Sokka asked, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah." I replied with a grin.
"I hope you kick some serous Fire Lord butt, twinkle sparks." Toph said as I hugged her.
"Everyone listen up; the next time we resurface, it will be on the beaches. So stay alart and be smart. Now break time is over back in the subs." Hakoda explained before going back in.
"So this is it, Uh?" Sokka sighed as everyone went inside.
"Yeah..." I nodded, with a tired smile.
"It doesn't really feel real." Sokka scratched the back of his neck, the air becoming more serious.
"Yeah..." I nodded again.
"Gyawa..." Sokka started to say, but I could tell he didn't know what to say.
"Yeah?" I tilted my head.
"Don't hurt yourself out there, the firelord is an evil guy..." He looked back up at me in the eyes, his tone was something out of worry. "And I don't want anything to happen to you." He finished saying, still rubbing his neck.
"I promise I won't get hurt." I smiled, and tightly hugged him.
He gave a worried smile, before kissing my forehead. I smiled and flew off.
Part Five (the Boiling Rock)
That night I opened my left eye to hear "Not up to anything huh?" Zuko asked and Sokka fall over. I immediately but quietly got up. If my boyfriend thought he could go somewhere without me, he's got another thing coming.
"Not hiding anything from me either huh?" I asked, walking up making them both jump.
"...Gyawa...!" Sokka screeched. "Fine you caught me. I'm gonna rescue I'm dad. You happy now?" Sokka whispered as he put all his stuff back in his bag.
"I'm never happy." Zuko replied.
Making me go: "Awe."
"Look I have to do this, the invasion plan was my idea it was my decision to stay when things were going wrong it was my mistake and it's my job to fix it. I have to regain my honor. You can't stop me." Sokka directed at both of us.
"You need to regain your honor, believe me I get it. I'm going with you." Zuko stated.
"No! I have to do this alone." Sokka quietly yelled back.
"How are you going to get there? On Appa? Last time I checked prisons don't have bison daycares." Zuko sarcastically replied, "We'll take my war balloon."
"I'm going too." I whispered.
"No!" They whisper yelled in unisons.
"What? You can't go alone, and I'm gonna help you rescue your dad. I'm not asking." I stated putting a hand on Sokka's shoulder.
"Alright."
"Are you crazy?! If you get caught, it will be the end!" Zuko said, with wide eyes and worry in them.
"Don't be so dramatic, I won't let that happen." I smiled as we all began to walk to the war ballon.
***
"Hey there fellow guard. How goes it?" Zuko said to Sokka, as we met at the sight he told us to.
"Zuko?" Sokka said seeing it was me.
"Shh, listen we asked around the lounge. There are no water tribe prisoners. I'm afraid your father's not here." Zuko stated, making Sokka's eyes grow large.
"What? Are you sure did you double check?" He asks looking over to me.
"Yeah, I'm sorry, nothing." I shook my head.
"No." He whispered away. "No!" He yelled hitting the wall.
"I'm really sorry, Sokka." Zuko said.
"So we came all this way for nothing?! I failed. Again." Sokka sighed dropping to sit down.
"Huh what would uncle say?" Zuko asked himself.
"Sokka it's going to be fine. We just need to think of a way to get off this rock now." I said trying not to sound like I knew what would happen next.
"Maybe we haven't failed after all." Sokka smiled as he looked at the yard below.
"That's the spirit." Zuko commented with a smile.
"Look! It's Suki." Sokka squealed as he radiated off love eyes.
Wait wait wait... love eyes!!!?!? Sokkaaa!!!!
"I thought he was your boyfriend." Zuko narrowed his eyes.
"Yeah, no kidding." I huffed, folding my arms.
*** after Gyawa gets captured.
That night after they made my chains tighter and left me bruised, fighting for breath, tired and beaten I heard my cell door open.
I looked up to see it was Sokka and Zuko. "Gyawa!" Zuko yelled running up to me with worry in his eyes.
"Oh this is bad." Sokka sighed, seeing how beat up I was. Yeha while I was getting bruises you were talking to Suki you bastard!
I didn't say anything, just hoped my long hair would cover up my bloody swollen face. "I'm sorry you have to go through this for me." Sokka narrowed eyes and held his head low.
Yeah I'm sorry too. I wish he was taking us a little more seriously!!
"So what's up?" I asked, through breaths, trying not to show my greeting teeth.
"We made an escape plan, we're leaving now. But there's one more thing, my dad might come here tomorrow." Sokka explained as Zuko looked at me like a worried mother. It was getting really annoying.
"Have they given you any water?" Sokka asked.
"They're afraid I'll bend it." I snapped back and immediately sighed, did I even have a right to be angry? It's not like I saw him flirting with Suki.
"We need to get her out of here." Zuko stated looking back at Sokka.
"Stop there Zuko, I haven't heard the whole story yet. Sokka you want to stay?" I asked trying to pull my arms from hanging.
"I don't know. Is it right for me to risk Suki's freedom, your freedom, all of our freedom on the slime chance that my dad is going to show up?" He asks looking around and finally to me.
"Yes, your father would do the same. Don't get me out till you get your father too." I replied making Zuko look at me with frustration.
"But Gyawa, if you stay in here you'll die." He warned with wide eyes.
"No I won't, I promise, just go." I said trying not to show I was breathing so heavy.
Sokka gave me a worried look; "Don't worry too much Zuko, Gyawa can take care of herself." Sokka said. He sounded more like he was telling himself.
As they were leaving Zuko looked back at me, he moved his lips to say something but no words came out. He just looked at me with a deep concern before slowly following Sokka out the door.
"I hope we haven't just made a huge mistake." I heard Sokka sigh before he closed the door.
Part Six (south raiders)
That night we found a good place to camp, we were at that moment around a campfire.
I wanted to shout at Sokka, I was boiling and I couldn't hold it in. But everyone time I thought at who was there, his dad. He was happy. I couldn't bring it up yet. But seriously. Did he think I couldn't notice?!? Did he think I was blind?!?? Did he really think seeing he and Suki talking and laughing together didn't make my blood boil?!?
"Wow camping, it really seems like old times again doesn't it?" Aang asked, with a smile.
I sat next to Sokka, but we were also sitting next to Suki. I just couldn't get it out of my mind, I wanted to rip my hair off!
"If you really want it to feel like old times I could uh..." Zuko smirked as he turned his eyes to me. "Chase you around and try to capture you." He offered before bitting into some bread.
Everyone but Katara laughed, while I gave him smirk back. I didn't have it in time to laugh, I was too angry at Sokka to laugh.
"To Zuko, who knew after all those times he tried to snuff us out today he'd be our hero." Sokka cheered raising his cup along with everyone else.
"Here here." We all smiled.
"I'm touched. I don't deserve this." He stated, his smile with a head tilt.
"Course you do." I reassured him.
"No he's not kidding." Katara harshly stated before walking off.
"What's with her?" Sokka asked.
"I wish I knew." Zuko replied before walking after her.
"What's with him?" Sokka asked, making Suki snicker.
I couldn't take it anymore. I had to be alone or something. But right as I was about to walk away I stopped, it wouldn't solve anything, just make me more mad. "Actually, Sokka can I talk to you?"
He looked a little pleased for someone reason.
I kept walking to a grassy Felix so one would hear us, the last thing I wanted was that. As a few rocks speared I quickly jumped over them with airbending, I just wanted this out of my head.
"Gyawa, hold up I'm not a crazy bender like you." Sokka said, slowly climbing the rocks.
I stopped, it immediately ticked me off; "No, you're not and you're also not good at hiding things." I snarled, raising my voice.
He stood up on the rocks as I stood on the tall soft grass. I felt like at one point he would say he had the high ground.
"What are you talking about?" He shook his head, squinting.
"You know I thought you were serious about us! I thought I could rely on you!" I yelled, all my angry pouring out. My long hair and clothes drifted with the wind and moonlight flickered in Sokka's eyes like it always did. But this time was different. This time I wasn't going to ignore anymore.
"Gyawa, you can'—" Sokka stayed in more somber tone, looking a bit confused.
"No! If you keep treating Suki the same as me than no! This thing is over! I'm sick of it! I can't even take it for a few days! I hate it! I already have to deal with either stuff and you add this to my pile of 'let the avatar deal with it!'" I felt like I screaming, my eyes wide and my posture screaming fight me.
"Gyawa..." he frowned, keeping that low tone. I hated it.
"Don't Gyawa me, Sokka! It's either her or me! Deal with it!" I waved an arm, all my frustrations and worries pulled up onto my relationship with Sokka. He was what made me calm but when that's no longer there I didn't know what to do. How to keep calm. I couldn't.
Part Seven (ember island players)
"I told you, my father hasn't come here since our family was actually happy. And that was a long time ago. It's the last place anyone would think to look for us." Zuko replied to Katara, sitting on the fountain and whiped the sweat away.
Mmm just look at that- "You guys are not going to believe this! There's a play about us." Sokka said running in with Suki breaking my train of thought. With Suki huh? Actually I'm glad I looked at Zuko's muscles.
"We were just in town when we found this poster." Suki explained with excitement while showing a bad looking poster. It had me on it, I didn't look too good. I already wasn't looking forward to it.
"What? how is that possible." Katara asked in disbelief.
"Listen to this." Sokka said making me immediately tune him out.
Look at him, all happy like nothing happened. While I admit he was kinda of staying away from me. And it made me even more furious. Was he really choosing Suki over me.
"Brought to you by the critically acclaimed ember island players." Suki read.
"HUhh. My mother used to take us to see them. They butchered love amongst the dragons every year." Zuko sighed losing his head.
"Sokka, do you really think it's a good idea for us to attend a play about ourselves?" Katara asked, putting her hands on her hips.
"C'mon a day at the theater, this is the kind of wacky time wasting nonsense I'm been missing." Sokka threw his arms in the air and shouted.
"Gyawa, will you come?" Sokka asked, seeing I looked in my typical brooding session.
"Miss Gyawa, dear, I acoredinly avite you to acommany me yo a show about us?!" Sokka held out a hand. It's like everything he did made me furious
"Now I don't want to go." I stood up and walked away, trying to ignore the feelings.
"Even I know that's bad." Zuko scoffed.
***
And just like I thought, Sokka was seriously sitting next to Suki right in front of me. I mean, it's not like there was a lot of room but come on! So he did go for Suki over his god damn Avatr girlfriend!?!?
I seriously didn't want to sit next to Sokka after that, so instead I tried to sit next to Aang but that didn't work so I was stuck with Sokka. I sighed deeply as I sat next to Sokka and Suki, this already sucked.
****
Sokka was making it awkward, sitting like a stiff board, if he moved toward me he was dead and if he moved towards Suki he was dead. I didn't get my own feelings.
"Don't go Yue. Your the only one who takes my mind off of food." Sokka2 pleaded, as he sat next to Yue2 who for some reason was wearing pink. "Wait did you have pickeled fish for dinner?" He asked after they kissed.
"Goodbye Sokka, I have important moon duties to take care of. And yes; I did have pickled fish." She replied as we was being pulled up.
Yeah that's right he even fall for Yue before me! Even though I was there. Wtf Sokka?!?
"You never told me you made out with a moon Spirit." Suki teased.
"I'm trying to watch." Sokka replied putting a finger near her mouth and watching with tears in his eyes.
I couldn't take it anymore. I stood up and walked out, I felt like walking home for alll I cared.
SOKKA POV
"So far this intermission is the best part of this play." Zuko pouted as we sat in a room alone from other people. But Gyawa completely disappeared.
"Hey does anybody know where Gyawa is?" I asked, looking around the room.
"I thought was with you." Toph said.
"Yeah, I thought guys always know where their girlfriends are." Aang added.
"Girlfriend?" Suki asked, raising and eyebrow. I was really going to tell Suki but I didn't know if that would make it awkward for us to still be friends. Aruhhh What was I doing. Being and idiot!
"Yeah, But she disappeared half way through the play." I replied, and immediately noticed Suki's head lower. I needed to seriously clear things up with Gyawa but she seemed so mad.
"Maybe she couldn't take how horrible that play is." Zuko said, his arms crossed.
"She did seem really off lately." Katana thought out loud. Yeah no kidding.
"I'm gonna go look for her." I sighed, getting up.
GYAWA POV
The beach was kinda calming, the waves and the moonlight, the soft sand on my feet. I sat there, trying to get it off my mind. Maybe if I meditated most of my feeling would go away. That would be nice. But who was I kidding, meditations doesn't work like that.
"There you are." I recognized Sokka's voice, walking behind me.
I took a deep breath, trying not to get angry. But I felt like if this kept going, I wouldn't be army, I felt I was just start crying.
He sat next to me and stretched his neck, I could hear his nails hitting his skin. It wasn't a nice noise when you're trying to meditate. "If you're just going to skretcg your self like a monkey then do it someplace else." I huffed, keeping my eyes closed.
"Well can you stop meditating." Sokka sounded serious. Hey that's a first.
"What?" I sighed.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize it look liked that way to you. I only like you, Gyawa." Sokka put a hand on my shoulder. I really wanted to regret him, but I was still angry.
"And I didn't tel Suki anything cuz I didn't feel like I needed to." Sokka waved a hand off.
"Then why do you still act like that after I told you how I felt about it?" I snapped.
"Because were friends! Can we not be friends?!" Sokka stood up, becoming defensive and spreading out his arms.
"You do realize Suki likes you right?" I scoffed, not moving.
"Yeah, I know." He added, not liking the taste of it.
"Then that's my answer, Sokka. You had that in the back of your mind and you were still leading her on." I huffed and continued to look at the sea. Was our ship sailing off? I sure felt like it was.
"What do you want me to do, Gyawa. Wear a sign that says 'I'm the avatar's property I can't talk to any girls.'"
I stood up, my fists clenched. I wanted to yell at him for thinking of something like that. "Yeah! Something like that!!" I yelled, rather far away from the ponytail bastard.
"So than I can't talk to Toph or Suki or even Katara!" He waved his arms, his eyebrow narrow.
"Before it was Yue and now it's Suki! I'm suck it, Sokka!" I shouted, standing up, and immediately feeling sore from trining. Already getting tired of it all. Getting tired of everything. Maybe I wasn't meant to do any of this.
"Don't bring Yue into this!" Sokka snapped, holding out his arms. "I don't know what you want to do Gyawa!" Sokka yelled.
I wanted to scream; "I don't know either!"
Sokka's eyes darkened, his whole posture falling. "Then what?" He almost whispered. The sea wind waving with our clothes.
"I need time." I sighed, folding my arms and wanting nothing more than to crawl in a bow and stay in there. What was I doing?
"Time for what? I don't understand." Sokka shook his head. He was beginning to see how serious I was. Unlike him I actually gave our relationship thought.
"How would you feel if I started flirting with Zuko? How could you feel if you knew Zuko had a secret crush on me huh? What would you do?" I asked, my whole demeanor screaming leave me alone.
"Tell Zuko to lay off." Sokka answered, going back to his upset voice.
"Such a boy thing to do. No!" I snapped; "This problem is between me and you!" I pointed at him and me. But I didn't know how.
"Then were back to right before this conversation! What do you want?!?" Sokka showed all his confusion, all his hurt.
"I don't know!" I was beginning to feel my throat clip, was I really about to cry? I had to get out of there. "Just leave me alone. I need time." My face felt like it was about to brake, so I hide it behind my hands and long hair.
"Time for what?" Sokka followed me, only stepped away.
"To think clearly. I'm tired Sokka and I don't need this." My voice cracked and anyone could know what that meant. My hands began to feel the tears falling from my eyes.
Part Eight (Sozin's Comet)
Not to long later, Sokka dropped down in a war ship with Toph, Aang helping poor little Sokka to walk.
"You did it! You should have seen yourself it was amazing! You were all like; pow boom and the Fire Lord was all like arigh uh uh arugh!" Sokka exclaimed, with a huge happiness in his voice hopping on one leg.
"So did you...you know finish the job?" Suki asked, pointing at Ozai who was leaning against a rock.
"I'm still alive." Ozai growled weakly getting up, making Suki back up in fear. Even if he was completely unable to fight.
"I learned how to take his bending without blood bending." I stated with a slight smile, it felt good to finally win.
"I'm proud of you! You found a way to do it without doing something evil. But who taught it to you?" Aang smiled.
"A giant lion turtle." I plainly stated, with a smile folding my arms.
"You have the craziest adventures when you disappear." Toph smirked as she shook her head.
I turned back to Sokka who still held a smile, I couldn't blame him. A huge weight was just lifted off our shoulders.
"Sokka I'm sorry." I breathed, knowing I had to clear this mess up.
"No I'm sorry," Sokka's face became more clerical. "I didn't look at it from your point of veiw. I didn't know how it looked." He continued to hop on one leg before I took him by one arm. It was surprising but even after what happened I was just wanted Sokka, you just had to love everything about him.
"It's fine..." I showed a tired smile, helping him stand.
"It's not fine! And I'm sorry, so so so sorry." Sokka have a worried look, titling his head to look in me the face.
"Ok Sokka I get. I was being un-rachanble." I tried not to show that I was sore all over as I felt Sokka.
"No you weren't. You were just being a girlfriend." Sokka kept his head right in front of mine with a smirk and softly placed his lips with mine. Giving me one of the most relieving kisses I've had.
He gave a tired smile and hopped near the Fire Lord. "Will look at you buster, now that your fire bending gone I guess we should call you the loser Lord." Sokka punned like it was a punch line.
"I am the Phoenix King!" Ozai tried to demand before collapsing to the ground.
"Ha ha ha, keep calling yourself that and just maybe it might stick in person." I mocked with my head high, even if I felt like I was about to collapse with Sokka's weight.
"Oh sorry didn't mean to offend you, Phoenix King of getting his butt whooped." Toph added, putting her fists together.
"Yeah... or how about king of the guys... who don't win." Suki also tried to add which didn't work.
"Leave the nick names to us, honey."
~*~
Later when we were all back at Iroh's tea shop I couldn't help but feel content. "Well I think you all look perfect." Toph said, making everyone laugh, as I walked out.
The sun was setting, giving off its typical ray of color, however this day was far from normal. Leaning on rails I was glad to leaning on, seeing a sun I was grateful to see again, being in this world at least one more day.
Soon faint footsteps approached, I turned to see it was a boy with chocolate hair and a strong bad sense of humor, Sokka.
It was nice to see those beautiful blue eyes looking in mine.
I could see it in his eyes, moving closer to him felt like the best thing in anything. Soon enough we were within arms reach.
He held tight on my waist, blinking a few times I stared in his galaxy of blue.
I felt our lips finally touch. After all of it, after all the conflict it was finally over.
I had it all, I had what I wanted. I got Sokka, and that was the punch line.
I had no idea what could come next, but I knew I would be ready for it with Sokka at my side. I knew if we won once, we could win again.
