60 | FROM WONDERLAND'S MAGIC

Hello guys! i can finally share my though process when making these which i can still hopefully remember since it was a bit of a unique process!

Let's start with WAYFARER shall we? Similar to all of the above, i started by looking through 1THE9's teaser photos for BAD GUY and the one that caught my eye first was junseo's second solo reaser that gave me mad hatter vibes when the image was just literally this::

so i started looking for fun mad hatter inspired images then i suddenly had an idea of making a steampunk inspired take on the mad hatter and so the cover was born. To be honest, i wanted to make him sit on a mushroom for that cover but i quickly found out how hard it was to find images of steampunk-esque models that are sitting and so, i said byebye to that layout.

To be honest, i wasn't gonna add that magic swirly bits but then the cover felt really bland so i started messing around with ibispaint brushes that would look like magic to add the swirls. So i found it, named it magic brush #O1 but i didn't use it just yet. Instead i made magic brush #O2 and used that to add the swirls.

Then looking at the cover i said "hey it kinda looks like his hand is controlling the magic stuff" and so, i used magic brush #O1 to add that in!

Now, on DUSTY SHELVES i was looking through their teasers again and the image that caught my eye was yongha's::

I got an elf vibe from the image and since i was also playing a lot of darlness rises at this point, my mind went: elf = archer so i added a bow in. And since i was still in a phase where i liked adding glowing eyes wherever i go, i gave him those too.

Now let's talk ASTERISM. That was a bit of a pain in the ass to make but i got inspired by taewoo's first teaser to make it (i got too lazy to put it in here, you can just look it up youself tho i doubt you're gonna do that).

The thing was, i wanted to give him a cloak w/ a hood but i couldn't find what exactly i was looking for so i grabbed a body with the clothes that suited the theme, slapped on his face and tried looking for an appropriate hood where i failed miserably at. In the end, he ended up looking more like a rouge character than a wizard but im not complaining THAT much.

I tried going for a different magic look here, went with an arcane circle instead of my typical swirly magic stuff. I just basically used brush #O1 then drew the circle and the other designs on it. Then using brush #O2 to add the magic swirly details-

Then LEGEND was probably the easicoming make oyt of the bunch. I basically extended the wall from sungwon's teaser, cut off the other side, slapped a background, gave him a crown then added a hand so i could give him swirly magic-fire stuff coming out of it!!

Sooooo here's my icon!! Tbh, i was definitely gonna use jinsung's teasers bcs his makeup their kinda made me think of constellations but then the whole phone storage fiasco happened so HERE. Have this instead.

There are only two constellations there and im not even sure if those are correct since Cassiopeia and Usra Major/Mimor are the only one's i could name and make on the top of my head since i got a bit too lazy to do further research-

This was my first edit after the recent factory reset of my phone and i am quite happy with it. Though now, i gotta turn my gears working again to get ideas for edits since i want to open up the next batch of my shop soon.
