Chapter 2- Agonizing Bliss

Pain, unlike any other. The combined weight of Rumi and his normal training gi was far too much for his body to handle, like being crushed under a thousand stars. Each push-up was practically killing him. With a guttural yell, the martial artist finally hit one thousand push-ups. Rumi was definitely trying to break the young boy. The boy himself was proving to be much harder to break than even herself. She had pushed herself just to match him at least three times in the last hour just to keep up. She was amazed at such untapped potential. There was, however, a weakness that she was determined to train out of him.

F/N's tail made him weak and was an unpleasant mix of pain and suffering when grabbed, so Rumi made it part of the mission to train that out. Ensure that even his tail had enough power to smack her through a wall. Their training had been long and grueling for the past ten months in preparation for the UA entrance exam, consisting of physical and mental training. The mental training was anything from meditation to studying for the written exam. While he didn't exactly like the studying, he had no other choice. It helped to look at it like one big fight.

"You've really improved over these last few months. I've had to get better just to keep up! You'll go far, kid, and I have no doubt you'll get in!" Rumi cheered, grinning down at her 'student'.

"IT'S NOT ENOUGH!!" F/N yelled, pushing through another push-up. Her eyes narrowed as she looked down at him. He'd never acted like this before. Then again, he was technically an alien, so who knows what it could be.

"What's not enough, exactly?" she asked cautiously.

"I'm not satisfied with just the bare minimum! I have to get stronger! All the way to the top! BODY DON'T FAIL ME NOW!" he huffed as he, again, did another push-up. His stomach growled, and he collapsed in an instant.

"After some food!" he groaned. Rumi couldn't hold in a laugh as she fell off his back. If there was one weakness they'd never beat out of him, it was his caloric needs. F/N can end up starving after just a day of no food. The Rabbit Hero lifted up her student, and her eyes bulged at just how heavy he'd gotten. He was damn near pure muscle because of his metabolism alone and the muscle he'd put on rivaled All Might! Combined that with the 140 kilos he was wearing in his weighted clothes, it was a wonder just how tough the floor was for not cracking under his weight.

After some food, a shower, and some fresh clothes, F/N jumped up, jumping higher and higher each time.

"I'm free as a bird now! And I can tell I've gotten stronger from all that training!" F/N said cheerfully. He powered up, letting the energy flow around him and whipping up a powerful gust of wind.

"So hard to believe this is me! All this energy, it's getting me fired up for the entrance exam!" he said, his energy dying down as he pulled it back. Rumi had no idea what she had just witnessed. She couldn't sense energy, but the pressure was so intense, suffocating her with its volume. The idea of anyone being so strong was hard to grasp, especially considering how close he seemed to be to reaching the level of the top one hundred pro heroes in terms of general strength. He truly was a prodigy from the stars. Yet everything else in that moment told her that this wasn't it, that this wasn't his pinnacle. She believed it. After all, he didn't just improve himself. She had improved almost as quickly as he had.

"Kid, I have no idea how deep this power runs in you, but I can tell it's going to take you far, maybe even across the stars. Just remember, you're one of us first and foremost!" F/N grinned and looked to Rumi.

"How could I forget?! I've had so many wonderful trainers from Auntie Ryuko, Kame-Sennin, you, and I'm sure to meet many more, even beyond UA! Forgetting you guys is like asking me not to eat for a week!" Rumi smiled at the analogy. As much as she'd like to laugh at it, it still meant quite a bit to hear him hold his teachers in such high regard. He truly was a martial artist. To him, there will always be someone better, and he'd face the challenge head on and improve himself with each day. He might even train in the afterlife, knowing his luck! Rumi laughed at the thought, knowing that whatever afterlife awaited him was highly likely to be just non-stop training.

"Yeah, well, we'd better get going. You've got seven days to rest before the entrance exam, so you'd better get set to readjust to normal activities," Rumi said, patting the boy on the back. She had to admit, he was inspiring and had all the makings of a great hero. F/N smiled and waved at Rumi as he ran off, heading towards the beach. It was much cleaner than when he had seen it last, though still littered with trash. It was the perfect place to meditate, sharpen his mind, and his Chi control. He had heard from Master Roshi of the Crane school and how their students and masters could fly. Typically, they were assassins or generally cruel, so it was unlikely he could ever be a student of theirs. That still didn't mean he couldn't - rather wouldn't - try to figure it out.

As he sat down in a meditative position, F/N made it his goal to control the newfound well of Ki he could tap into. The more finely he could control his Ki, the more he could perform at a higher level. While he was meditating, though, he heard a voice nearby, and another one reply.

"Hey, um, who's that? Is it okay for him to be here?"

"Wait! He's the one who got into a fight with Kaachan because he wanted to go to UA! He's a really good guy!" The older, sickly man deadpanned at the statement.

"That doesn't sound like a hero thing to do," he said, causing Midoriya to start sweating.

"O-Oh! I-I didn't mean it like that! Kaachan was being... u-unsportsmanlike about it all. A-And he's always been rather jumpy about fighting and does his best to avoid fighting if it's not necessary."

Opening his eyes and turning to the source of the voice, he smiled.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" F/N asked, grinning at his classmate. Midoriya smiled back and ran up to him. The two shook hands and the alien boy was surprised by his peer's grip.

"Midoriya! Have you been working out? Your grip is much stronger than it used to be and your energy is far more lively than usual!" The green haired boy smiled bashfully and looked away.

"You can really tell? Thanks!" Midoriya turned back to the sickly blond man.

"Ah, I almost forgot. This is-" Midoriya began, only for F/N to bow politely and smile.

"I don't think the Number One hero needs an introduction. It's nice to meet you," the saiyan said, standing straight.

"How could you tell who I was?" All Might asked, both impressed and startled. F/N just chuckled.

"I'm sure you're familiar with Kame-sennin. He was my master for a long time and taught me how to use Chi. As a result, I can sense energy and every individual has a certain signature, so recognizing you is a snap!" All Might was impressed, wondering just how far this power goes.

"I can even tell you're losing power. Slowly but surely. What's causing it?" All Might sighed, checking to make sure no one was around. He lifted his shirt to show off a pretty gnarly scar on his stomach.

"Whoa, is it because of that?" F/N asked, only for All Might to chuckle.

"Not entirely. I'll explain more some other time. It seems you and Midoriya both have training you need to get to."
