Chapter 1- The Boy from the Stars

"We have to get him off planet- NOW!" a man growled at the woman he was arguing with.

"Send him to another world! Before it's too late!" he said, pleading with her.

"But... but he's our son! What about him?! Don't you care?!" the woman growled back, angrily.

"I'M DOING THIS BECAUSE I CARE!" he shouted at his wife, surprising her. In all her years, she never would have imagined he cared at all about their son. Thankfully in their current case, he was born with a fairly low power level and was still in the pod in the room behind them.

"If we don't send him off now, he'll die along with us, and the Saiyans will be gone! I'm begging you, let me protect something for once in my life!" the man said, grabbing his wife's hand and holding it tightly.

"... Fine. If what you say is true, then we don't have much time..."

Many years have passed since that day. A young boy with jet black, spiky hair; onyx eyes; and a monkey tail wrapped around his waist could still remember bits of the people who sent him off. He clenched his fist and looked up at the sky before heading into school. He wore... an unorthodox uniform. It was a mixture of a martial arts uniform and the standard school uniform colors. He was given this exception due to the raw power his ability gave him and the fact that anything less than combat-oriented clothing was so uncomfortable he constantly ripped through it just stretching, let alone how often he tugged at collars and sleeves. Under that, he wore the weighted clothes from his master, a man who went by the moniker of the Turtle Hermit, known to the young man as Master Roshi. See, the old man looked frail, but no one truly realized how strong he was. Master Roshi practiced martial arts and mastered an energy called Chi, or Ki as he tended to call it.

"So, since you're all third-years, it's time for you to think seriously about your futures. I'll pass out handouts for your future plans now, but... you're all... pretty much planning to go into the hero course, right?"

"Yes!" all the students cheered, save for three.

"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful Quirks! But using your powers at school is against the rules!" their teacher scolded.

"Teach! Don't lump us all in the same group. I'm not gonna be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects."

"That was uncalled for, Katsuki!" one of their classmates complained.

"Tch, pathetic..." muttered the boy with black hair.

"You all should shut up like the extras you are!" the now-named Katsuki scoffed.

"Oh, if I remember correctly, you want to go to U.A. High, right, Bakugou?" the teacher asked, sadly overlooking the arrogant fool's attitude. The students whispered among themselves while Bakugo bragged obnoxiously.

"That's exactly why you guys are just extras! I aced the mock test! I'm the only one at this school who could possibly get into U.A. I'll definitely surpass All Might and become the top hero! My name will be inscribed on the list of top earners!"

"Alright enough!" the onyx-haired student growled, standing up angrily. His tail flicked behind him as the hair stood on end like a whip.

"Oh, looks like one of you has some balls!" Bakugo growled.

"I swear to God if you don't shut up about being the best, I'll show you how pathetic you really are! After all, if you're the best, you should beat me with no contest, right?!" the teen spat, fuming.

"L/N! Calm down!" Bakugo smirked maliciously.

"Temper temper..." he teased, only fueling the already raging fire inside.

"Oh, right, L/N and Midoriya wanted to go to UA as well, right?" This shut the blonde up quickly, angrily glaring at the green-haired boy who had been quietly sitting through all this. The young man shriveled further into his seat as his classmates began ridiculing and laughing at him.

"You can't get into the hero course just by studying!"

"Th-They got rid of that rule! There's just no precedent..." Midoriya tried to justify himself, but that only caused Bakugo more anger. He slammed his hand down on the young boy's desk and glared at the Quirkless boy.

"Hey, Deku! You're below the rejects! You're Quirkless! How can you even stand in the same ring a-" Before he could finish his statement, Bakugo was punched square across the jaw, sending him flying into a few desks.

"DON'T YOU DARE PREACH ABOUT STRENGTH LIKE YOU EVEN KNOW THE MEANING OF THE WORD!" White energy erupted around L/N and pushed several desks away as he stared daggers into his classmate.

"L/N! PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE! NOW!" L/N just grabbed his backpack, oddly shaped like a large turtle shell, and glared down at Bakugo before he left. In the principal's office, the portly man sighed and shook his head.

"L/N, I know you just want to do what is right but you can't just punch your classmates like that. You have to talk to-" the man began before L/N cut him off.

"Talk to who?! No one does a damn thing about Katuki's attitude! He's arrogant, insufferable, and, worst of all like I was when I first arrived here. The difference being that when I got out of hand, someone actually dealt with me! Bakugo just gets to do what he wants without so much as a slap on the wrist! How can you sit here and tell me to talk to someone when that's all I've done the last three years?!" The principal sighed.

"So that's what bothers you so much, huh? I understand now. Do you know what I think? You should attend UA. As they say, the greatest revenge is massive success. And with your power? I think it would be child's play for you to become the number one hero." L/N just stared, shocked at the paper now being pushed in front of him. It was an application for students getting in on recommendation.

"Who-" he began, looking up at the old man. He was unable to really understand the true scope of what that meant, at least, until the rank five and rank seven heroes walked in through the door behind him. He was surprised, yet also not. Surprised by who it was, for sure. It's not every day you get to meet Mirko and Kamui Woods. Still, he was able to tell there were powerful individuals near since he was able to sense the energies of two rather powerful individuals.

"W-What?! What are you two doing here?! The number five and number seven heroes-" he began, Mirko laughing.

"Come on, kid! You know what you're capable of! We all saw your match against Jackie Chun several years ago during the twenty-first Tenkaichi Budokai! You've got a monster power just waiting to be unlocked. And we want to see you grow into an incredible hero!" Mirko said boisterously.

"It would also be a good way to further your martial arts training. See, we've been watching you ever since that match. Your propensity for growth is astounding." Kamui nodded and crossed his arms.

"But... why me? There are hundreds of kids who have wanted a chance like this in just the city alone... a-and my discipline needs work- lots of it!" L/N said, still unsure of whether or not he was deserving of all this.

"F/N, you might not remember, but we were there when you were taken in by Ryukyu. And you were certainly a wild child back then. But you've come a long way from there and the kind of dedication you've put into not only honing your body but your mind needs rewarding. And since you love fighting so much, we thought it'd be best for you to try your hand at becoming a pro hero," Mirko said, smirking.

"You were there when auntie Ryuko took me in?" F/N asked, curious. The woman he called an aunt wasn't actually his aunt, but rather his adoptive Guardian. She didn't talk much about the night she found him, but he always assumed he was rescued from a bad household and, with no living family, adopted by her.

"Yeah, and if you're going to UA, you're going to need to know the truth about that night." F/N was even more confused.

"It's kind of a long story..."
