Trivia: Map, Population Logistics and Life Expectancy

Here's the map of Legea, folks! Where not bounded by mountains or rivers, border lines are shown in brown. Uncertain or fluctuating border lines are shown in dotted brown.

It's not 100% accurate. The Enydhwyn and Glumintor peninsulas should be slightly farther north. Unfortunately, because of the size, I was unable to display all of Fearnland. You can see the very edges on the northern rim of the map between Edivernel and the Claw Mountains. Havis, south of Enydhwyn, is also not shown.

I couldn't label Delgrass because it's so tiny; it's the little blob between Rehirne and Mattadon, bounded by the Dirion River and the brown border line. Harcalan is also unlabeled and unmarked, but it would be another blob right up where the River Lahera comes out of Edivernel.

Still, it's a reasonably true and, I hope, helpful portrayal of Legea.

Anyway, population facts!

-Fearnland has the largest land mass of Legea, although this is debated because her borders are so fluid. Her population, however, is less than Orden's.

-Arahad has the second-largest land mass and the largest population.

-The most densely populated countries are Rehirne, Terragere, Menevace, and Arahad.

-The most sparsely populated are Fearnland and Erahar.

-The country with the least population is, of course, Delgrass.

LIFE EXPECTANCY IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES

In Harotha and Menevace, the average expectancy is roughly 49 years old. This has worsened in recent decades, particularly due to the droughts.

Rodron, Orden and Dirion descend from people of long-lived bloodlines. Natural vigour tends to last well into one's seventies, and the average lifespan is 90-105 years. Enydhwyn people are also longer-lived, with an average of 92-100 years.

Rehirne has a low expectancy of 37 years on average. A heavy contributor is the number of orphan deaths, since they are treated so harshly. Rehirne also has the highest infant mortality rate.

Fearnish people have an average of 62 years. While their span is shorter, they are hardy folk and live active and usually healthy lives; they suffer from fewer illnesses than countries further south.

Glumintorians are near in kindred to the Rodronians, and still more so to the Enydhwyn. However, their lifespans tend to be shorter than the Enydhwyn by about a decade.

Terragrean, Mesoremnian, Runnicoran, Mattadonan, and Delgrass people fall into a median of between 73-85 years on average. Eraharians are slightly shorter, 69-75. Gontish people live to an average of 88.

The lifespan of the people of Havis is not known. They are a peculiar people, who have contact with no man; the Enydhwyn, who live closest to them, avoid them and do not attempt commerce or alliance. The only person of this generation who has visited them and survived the ordeal is Jedediah Crayes, but he has not volunteered any information to curious minds.

The Sunsteri barbarians vary in life expectancy, depending on the region. The southern Sunsteri are usually killing one another; they average 40 years. The northern Sunsteri, slightly more unified, if not more civilized, reach 56 on average. The coastal Sunsteri are so scant that they are usually counted in with the southern tribes.

Werevultures live from 150-200 years. The northern werevultures usually live longer. In older times werevultures often lived to 250, but time has shortened their lifespan as it has that of men.
