The dragons, or grinazre in Thiredanian, came from the sun.

The griffins, or ealdran in the Thiredanian tongue, came from the heavenly orb that was like the sun and moon, but deep red in colour and further away than either of them. It was called Cadron by the Rodronians, and its legaeësse keeper was said to be proud and quick to anger.
