Prologue

"Kids! Get in here!" a voice calls from the dojo.

A rather handsome boy with sapphire blue eyes, wolf ears, a wolf tail, plus raven wings, looks up from his bed. He sighs, stretching a little and ruffling his dark hair.

The fourteen-year-old gets up, heading towards the dojo. On the way, he runs into a pretty turtle girl. Her hazel eyes seem to blaze as she looks up at him, and she flicks her dark ponytail the way he would often flick his long tail.

"Watch it, wolfie," she snaps.

"Calm down, Copeland. We're both headed to the same place." He rolls his eyes.

"My video games were interrupted. This had better be worth it," a boy with curly blonde hair and freckles says as he joins his two cousins. "Dean? What'd you do to anger her?"

She growls a little, and the blonde boy hides behind the older boy.

"I didn't mean to anger her, Mitch. I ran into her as I was headed to the dojo," Dean explains, his tail swaying lightly.

"Hey! That's where I was headed!" Mitch grins, his baby blue eyes seeming to dance.

"You know, walking is an important part of actually getting places," a girl with straight white hair mentions as she exits a nearby laboratory. One eye glows red, whilst the other is a normal brown.

"Know-it-all," Copeland grumbles.

"Oh shush. I'm just stating the obvious," the girl huffs.

A turtle boy with spiky brown hair pokes his head out of the same lab, raising a non-existent eyebrow. A black powder dusts his cheeks, his hands slightly darkened with the same material, seeing as he was just doing an experiment.

"Dakota? Did someone call us?" he asks.

"Yeah. Uncle Leo has summoned us to the dojo," Dakota says, crossing her arms. She smirks a little. "Asher? You've got a little something on your cheek."

"Huh?"

"Here. I've got it."

She moves closer, reaching up and wiping some black dust off her twin's face. He chuckles, showing off a small tooth gap.

"Thanks sis."

"Mmhmm."

"Dean! DEAN!"

Dean turns to see one more turtle girl skipping towards him, a smile on her face. He grins as she grabs his hand.

"I dreamed I could fly like you! Isn't that cool?" she asks, her green eyes seeming to sparkle with every word.

He smirks and ruffles her brunette curls. "Of course it is, Venus."

"KIDS! I CALLED YOU!"

"Coming, dad!" Dean hollers.

The six kids rush to the dojo, where they see four mutant turtles and two mutant girls; a wolf-girl with large black wings and a cyborg. Near them are two normal looking humans. They sit down, and the blue-masked turtle at the head of the group, Leonardo, smirks a little.

"Did you have a nice chat?" he asks.

"Yup!" Mitch says immediately.

"It was weird," Dakota answers honestly.

"It could've been avoided if someone-" Copeland looks pointedly at Dean. "-was watching where he walks."

Dean rolls his eyes, ignoring his hotheaded cousin.

"Either way, we aren't here to discuss whatever argument you were having out there," the woman with raven wings and wolf characteristics cuts in. "Leo, try to stay on topic please."

"Sorry Destiny," Leo says sheepishly.

"Anyways," Donatello continues.

"Since Venus is old enough to start grade one..." Destiny says.

"We thought that all of you should go to school too," one of the regular humans, Taylor, finishes.

"Wait...so we're...?" Mitch starts slowly.

"You're going to high school," Leo says.

Every child's eyes widen, and Venus grins as she bounces up and down.

"First grade! Can you believe it?" She grins. "I'll get to meet kids my age!"

"Of course, most of you will be wearing human patches," Sarina, the cyborg, mentions. "Ash, Dean, Copeland, Venus, I'm looking at you."

"Why not Dakota?" Asher asks, looking to his sister.

"The only thing mildly unusual about me is my red eye. That's why I wear that eyepatch," Dakota replies, referring to the white patch she sometimes wears over her glowing red eye.

"Suckas! I'm already human!" Mitch laughs. "Or...somewhat."

Michelangelo grins and fist bumps his son. Annalise, the other human, smirks.

"Sorry about this, kids," Raphael, the red-masked turtle, says. "School can be tough, but you're the perfect age to start grade nine..."

"So why not?" Taylor asks, smiling pleasantly.

"And first grade is a great time to start school too, right Vennie?" Leo asks.

"Yes daddy!"

"We're signing you up at the same school April, Taylor, Casey, and I went to," Annalise says. "They just added on an elementary school nearby."

"Blake will be there too," Donnie mentions to Venus.

Venus grins. April and Casey's son, Blake, is her age. They've been best friends since they could talk, pretty much.

"Don't forget about training this afternoon. You're dismissed." Leo points out of the dojo.

The kids get up, heading out. Copeland fidgets, playing with her hands.

"It'll be ok guys," Dean says. "We've got each other! We're a team!"

"Yeah!" Asher grins.

"We'll brave school together." Dakota smiles, wrapping her arms around her twin and Copeland's shoulders.

"As a family," Mitch chimes in, wrapping an arm around Dean and Venus as he laughs.

"Ugh, you guys are cheesier than a pizza," Copeland scoffs.

"Pizza? Where?!" Mitch asks, looking around the dojo. "I don't see any!"

The kids laugh.

Roosevelt School, prepare to meet the children of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
