Stupefy

"Nobody will get hurt right?"

"As long as everyone cooperates, everything will be fine."

The sanctuary was quiet that morning, Theo arose and went to leave the Bungalow but as he opened his door, Owen was standing there with his arms crossed.

"Going somewhere?" he asked.

Theo paused. "Uh just going off to do some school work." he said walking past him.

"It's Saturday."

"I like to learn."

"Then come with me."

"Where to?"

"The raptor paddock, you'll get some learning experiences, hands on."

Theo swallowed. "A-alright."

Barry watched as the Grady men arrived to the paddock.

"You finally show your face around here." Barry said ruffling Theo's hair.

"Just thought we'd have some father and son time." Owen said directing Theo forward.

"Enjoy." Barry grinned before leaving the paddock.

Theo stood nervously behind his father as Owen leaned on the walkway railing looking out at the enclosure. He stood strongly, he could definitely see why people called him Alpha sometimes on the island.

"You know when you were born, I promised something to you. The same thing I promised your mother years ago." he said.

"What's that?"

"That I would keep you safe. I would do anything to keep the both of you safe."

Theo furrowed his brow. "Safe? Safe from what?"

"From anything that posed a threat. "

Zach and Keira were in the infirmary with a gallimimus with a broken leg when Claire walked in.

"What happened here?"

"Little guy got overzealous, pissed off a few triceratops, they reacted." Zach said.

"Natural consequences." Keira shrugged.

Claire shook her head. "What's this I hear about your son acting up?" she asked.

Lowery walked in. "Lowery!" Keira said with her hands on her hips.

"I'm sorry?" he said.

"He lives with me, we're bound to talk about things Keira."

"Well, we don't need everyone knowing about my son's problems right now. We're working on it."

"What's his deal?"

"I don't know. He's being weird."

"Is that like normal for a teenager?"

"I don't know," Keira said. "He's my first! And it's not like I had a normal childhood to compare to."

"I think you two are worried about nothing. He's probably just looking at some porn-"

Keira covered her ears. "LA, LA,LA!"

"Jesus," Claire muttered. "You're a parent!"

"I know that! I don't need to think of my son getting in touch with himself literally."

"What did you expect? Do you remember who his father is? The king of perverted comments." Claire said. "He might have picked up more than his green eyes."

"Your mother and I want to keep you safe Theo."

"I know."

"And we can't do that if you hide things from us."

"What am I hiding?"

"You tell me."

Keira shook off Claire's words as she headed back to the Bungalow for the day. She stepped out of her car when her phone went off.

"Hello?"

"Hi!" Ellie greeted.

"Hi Mom."

"How are you sweets?"

"I'm alright. Just calling it a day actually. How are you?"

"Oh fine. I'm on the computer trying to look up things to do when you retire."

"That bored, huh?"

"Nothing compares to a new dig site." Ellie sighed.

"You and Dad are going to end up going crazy." she laughed.

"It's too late for your father I'm afraid."

"I heard that." Alan's voice came in the background.

"Anyways, how's things going with Theo?" she asked with slight concern.

"We went through his laptop."

"Oh...and?"

"And we didn't find anything."

"That's a good thing, right?"

"We didn't find anything because he didn't want us to find anything Mom."

"I see."

"He's deleted emails and he's been sneaking around the island and the house."

"That doesn't sound like Theo."

"That's why I'm worried."

"Well, I'm sure and Owen will figure things out. You always do. Parenthood is no easy task...your father went grey early for a reason."

"HEY!" Alan and Keira said simultaneously.

"I love you sweetheart."

"I love you too Mom." Keira said as she entered the Bungalow.

"Theo I don't know what idea you have in your head, but it's not a good one."

"You have no faith in me."

"I do have faith in you son, but if it's something you have to hide from your mom, myself and everyone else on this island then I can only assume it isn't good."

"Just because you don't find it ideal doesn't mean it isn't good."

Owen's face drained of colour. "Theo, what did you do?"

"I did the right thing." he said. "I'm going to help the world."

Lowery was sitting at the computer looking over the island map when something showed up on the radar in the distance.

"Hey, Kevin, radio in that boat for me please."

Kevin nodded and called in the boat.

"It's a fishing vessel." Kevin reported. "Panama licensed."

"Alright. Keep on eye on it, make sure they don't venture too close to the island."

"Will do."

Keira walked in and saw Athena asleep in the living room on the couch.

"Asleep so early?" she said walking over."You're two years old, you should be running around raising hell."

 Athena didn't move.

"Hey girl, are you that tired?" she placed a hand on Athena's head. "Athena?"

The dog remained still.

"Athena?!"

"Don't worry, she isn't dead. Just taking a nice nap."

Keira spun on her heels.

"Buenos tardes, Mrs. Grady."
