Keira awoke the next day to see that it was around one in the afternoon. Normally, she would have freaked and jumped out of bed to get to work but that morning she was so content resting in Owen's arms. She turned around to face him as he slept on. She reached her hand out and ran her fingers through his thick hair. She saw him smile with his eyes still close before they slowly opened.

"Good morning." he replied in a deep raspy morning voice that sent shivers through her body.

"Morning." she said.

"Last night was ...a hell of a night." he said.

She blushed. "It was definitely fun." she said.

"We can still have a little fun while the house is quiet. Although, it wouldn't be quiet during..." he shrugged before rolling on top of her. She propped herself up on her elbows pressing her lips against his.

He pulled away. "You know, you're still as beautiful as the first day I met you." he told her.

"Oh Mr. Grady, you flatter me so."  she said with a blush.

"I can really make you blush." he said before kissing her again. She smirked before he bit her lower lip and began moving his hands over her body.

Suddenly, they heard a whine. The two adults looked up to the end of the bed and saw Athena laying there watching them, her ears perked, and her tail slightly wagging. Owen rolled off with a laugh as Keira patted in between them. Athena crawled across the bed and settled down rolling on her back.

"She's made herself right at home."

Keira was on her laptop, checking the sanctuary email, she saw several lecture requests from a couple of universities before she saw an official email from the Costa Rican government. She opened it up and saw the request from President Segura to reconsider his offer. She shook her head before closing the laptop and getting up. She called to Athena who trotted out happily.

"I think it's time for you to get your official tour of the sanctuary." she said.

Theo was sitting reading one of his lesson plans in boredom before looking away. He decided to skip the lesson for the day and head out. He walked into the lab to see Gray.

"Gray." he said walking in.

"Hey Theo."

"You busy?"

"Is that an actual question?" Gray smiled. "But I can always make time.What's up?"

"I'm just bored, figured I'd come in here and actually learn something."

"Curious about genetics finally?"

Theo shrugged. "According to my parents I'm gonna end up working here one day might as well learn what I need to know."

"Well, we can go over a few basics such as the sequencing."

"Really?"

"Yeah, you might want to take some notes though. There's a lot just within the basics."

Keira arrived at the plains gate to find Zach's vehicle already there. She had Athena wait in the car to make sure all was well. She headed in as Athena watched her curiously.

"Zach!" she snuck up on him. He jumped startled dropping his clipboard. He attempted to regulate his breathing. 

"I really hate when you do that." he said with a slight glare.

She grinned. "What are you working on?"

"Checking up on the nest. We'll probably have a few hatching next week among the Gallimimus." he told her.

"That's great." She heard calls and splashing from the river. She turned her head and began walking over towards the noise. "Come on Zach."

The two walked to the river to see Loki in the river splashing around annoying the other herd members.

"It amazes me that he has actually mated." Keira said. Loki turned in their direction and began walking over.

"Loki no! You stay right there."

He ignored her, wading through the water before dipping his head into the water and splashing them. The two stood there completely drenched.

"Lovely. Just lovely." Keira spat out some water.

"Well, you named him after the God of Mischief, what did you expect?"

"So, did she like the dog?" Barry asked Owen as he prepared to grab Blue, Yin, Yang and two others for a cohesive hunt for a non living target based on scent.

"Like? The two are attached at the hip." Owen said.

"That's good. I didn't have doubt about that. I was only nervous because she didn't seem to have interest in getting one after Dino passed."

"It took her awhile to get over Dino."

"It took all of us awhile." Barry added. "He was a great dog."

"He was. On top of that, we had Theo to raise, I think she just wanted to focus on that for the time."

Owen pulled out the clicker and all eyes were on him.

He took out the scent and moved it in front of all of them before tossing it to the ground. Blue moved in first sniffing it before letting out a call. The others took turns sniffing. Owen raised his hands, they waited. He dropped it quickly and the group scattered into the hunt.

The two left the river squeaking in their boots and sneakers as they headed towards the gate.

"A dog, huh? I'm surprised you didn't get one sooner." Zach said. "Although, I don't think any dog will ever amount to Dino."

Keira gave a sad smile thinking of her late four legged best friend.

"Well, it's not fair to compare them. I think Athena will be great in her own way. We just have to get her used to the sanctuary."

She opened the door and let Athena out who immediately began sniffing around. Keira placed her on leash. During the introduction to seeing dinosaurs for the first time she didn't want anything to go wrong.

They walked into the plains allowing Athena to scout around but suddenly, her eyes locked in on the dinosaurs. She stood still, her hackles raised. Keira bit her lower lip nervously hoping Athena wouldn't freak out or they would have to keep her away from the dinosaurs for the rest of her life.

They heard a call in the distance. Zach and Keira looked up to see Eve. Eve was moving as fast as she could in their direction.

"Oh," Keira breathed. "I think she thinks..."

Eve got closer and then stopped. Athena growled with her tail tucked in between her legs before Zach and Keira.

"Hey, it's okay girl, she's a friend." Keira told her not touching her but offered soothing words.

 Eve lowered her head before looking at the dog.The two females sniffed each other, Eve pulled her head back with a grunt.

"I think Eve just realized that Athena's not Dino."

"Easy ladies." Keira said.

Athena took a step forward before she pulled Keira along to circle the dinosaur. She lifted her head up staring directly at the dinosaur before letting out a large bark. Eve glanced down at her again and suddenly Keira saw the wag of Athena's tail.

Zach let out the breath he was holding. He clapped Keira on the back. "I think Eve has a new friend."

Theo arrived home to the empty Bungalow, he went to get on his laptop when he realized he left it in the school room. He let out an irritated murmur before spotting his mother's laptop. He grabbed it and sat at the table opening it up. He went to exit out of the window when he saw the email from President Segura. He glanced around before reading it. He opened his notebook before jotting down a few things. He closed the laptop and placed it back into it's original spot on his way to his room.
