"Come on! It'll be fun."

For the past week, my boyfriend, Jason has been begging me to go to Krooks Lake. Of course, me being the scared girly-girl I am, I refuse to go because of the stories people say about the place scare the shits out of me!!

The most common story is that a girl and her boyfriend were swimming in the lake and felt a tug at their feet. So the guy swam to the shore really fast and left his girlfriend out there. But he didn't care because he kept running through the woods towards his house.

No one has seen her since that day...

I still shiver at the thought of the story.

What If that happens to me if Jason and I go? I could die!!

I was pushed away from my thoughts at the sound of his voice.

As if he read my mind he says, "You won't die Krista."

What does he know?

"What do you know?" I said, repeating my thought out loud. "Your not the girl in the story are you? Your not the one who is left in the water because your boyfriend leaves you so he won't DIE!!!"

He was clearly taken back by my words when I saw him staring at me wide-eyed.

I heard him let out a small chuckle. "Krista, you won't die because I won't leave you. And the stories about Krooks Lake are FAKE."

I was debating on wether or not to believe him, but I finally gave in and sighed. "Fine, I'll go."

He gave me his flashy smile and hugged me tight. "Great, pick you up at 8!"

"8? As in 8PM?!?"

There is NO way in hell that I'm going swimming in a haunted lake at night!!

He just laughed at me. "Yes at 8PM. See you then!"

Before he left, he gave me a quick peck on the lips and stormed off to English.

(7:22PM the same day)

I just got out of the shower when my phone beeped, notifying me that I had a message.

I stumbled over to my phone on my pink nightstand and unlocked it.

MESSAGE FROM: My BOO <3

I opened the message and skimmed over the words.

hey you still on for t'night?

Me

yea...i'm ready if ya wanna come now...

It didn't even take him 10 seconds to reply.

thanks babe! and ill be there in about 8 minutes...LOVE you <3 make sure you wear a bikini ;)

I sighed. I am NOT ready for this.

(At the lake)

"See, it's not scary at all!"

"Whatever..we're here, we've seen it, lets GO" I try tugging at his arms but he doesn't budge.

Instead, he grabs my arm and pulls me towards the water.

"What are you doing?!" I tried pulling away and putting all my weight on him.

We get to the edge of the water on the board walk and I start screaming.

"Well looks like I dont have to worry about you anymore.." He said to me before pushing me into the cold icy lake.

I struggled to breathe. And to make matters worse, I can't swim.

I saw a faint light before sucking in the salty water and floating to the bottom...

I looked around to see a small lake
