"So you lied to him!?" I shouted at my father. I've had at. All I wanted to do is have a conversation with someone that made me feel...alive.

"We had no other choice but to put those words on the screen!! But maybe if you would have stayed back and done your job, we wouldn't have to lie to him!!"

"We shouldn't lie either way, dad! Don't you get it? We need to...show the world that we exists not only as video games! We need to show them that...we have feelings, too!"

"Nonsense, and obviously the feelings you have for this man is too strong. I will not allow you to play your role until he finishes the game, do you understand?!"

My eyes widened and my heart dropped.

"Do you understand?! Yes or no!?"

I looked up at my dad with burning eyes. I forcefully shook my head side to side.

"No."

"Excuse me?"

"I said...no."

I'm screwed.

"CASTLEY!!!" My father ordered for my furred friend to enter the room as well.

The familiar white mist formed next to my intimidating father.

"I hear you wished for my presence?" He said smoothly. The wolf looked over towards me with a frown.

"Now what has this retched girl done this time?!"

I was shocked at his words. I felt heartbroken.

How could Castley say something like that? He's the one who told me to do something crazy.

I glared into his pure blue eyes which suddenly winked.

He was playing along with my father lecture.

I nodded slightly so Castley could see but not my bestowing dad.

"Castley! Keep an eye on her. I'm gonna keep her in this room and you will be her guardian. Be sure that she does NOT leave here. Got it?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good. At least someone can agree with me." My father sneered at me before exiting the room.

It was silent as I sat on the wooden attic floor.

"Do you wanna get out of here?" Castley asked with a smirk.

I smiled as I nodded.
