When the game was over and Jack took a break, a tall, strong figure stood in front of me. "I-I'm sorry, f-father." I pleaded. "I just...oh, I don't know what got into me. There's just something about his eyes and-"
"Eyes?" My father chuckled. "You mean to tell me that you strayed from protocol just because of his 'Eyes'?" I gulped as I realized how pathetic it sounded. "N-no...sir. I'm sorry for breaking the rules, father."
"Marley, if you expose the secret of video games, we would be misused, assaulted, abandoned. We don't want that happening to us, right?" He asked. I looked down at my shuffling shoes and shook a teeny "no" out of my head.
"Great, then!" My fathers voice blared through the halls. "All coast are clear, players! The drunkie is gone for a break but he will be back! So...from now until then, a meal shall be prepared.

I looked over at the baffling men who made fun of the newcomer, glaring at the ones who made fun of Jack. "How dare they judge him. They barley even know his name, anyway." I muttered to myself.
"Marley?" A whisper called from behind me. I wasn't startled. I've heard this call many, many times before. "Castley? Is that you?" I asked while looking around for my strange friend. A mist of whiteness trailed right before my eyes as it took shape as a broad wolf. "Hello, Marley." He greeted while bowing his head in unneeded respect. "Castley! You shouldn't be here. You know how my father is about pets." I scolded in a whisper. "Yes, I know. But I came here to inform you about the newcomer." My heart jittered as I listened into the talking canine's words. "He's very special." He hushed. "He will enlighten something within you that will prompt you to do things you never imagined of doing." I looked deeper into Castley's crystal-silver eyes as he spoke quieter. "No matter how bad you may think things will get, push forward and keep daring." And with a flick and a wish from his tail, Castley's body whisked into nothingness, all that was left: a tiny trail of white smoke.
