(Y/N): You're mine!

You started the assault by leaping towards the flaming nevermore with your blade on one hand and your handgun on the other. The nevermore simply jumped upwards and hovered as you flew right under it. Although you grabbed its talon and pulled yourself onto its claw. Once you were on its foot, you jumped upwards and sliced off one of its flaming wings.

The flaming bird let out a painful scream as it fell to the ground. The ground shook as its body fell instantly from the loss of its wing.

The fire on the grimm began to burn even more intensely as it grew angrier from the pain. It picked itself up and launched a massive amount of hot feathers that you were barely able to dodge. In fact, a lot of them grazed your body except your newly acquired regeneration has begun to work.

Even if your rapid regeneration was saving your life, it was still quite dangerous to take this much damage.

Once the barrage of blazing feathers were over, you began to feel slightly weak from the sudden exhaustion of demonic aura.

(Y/N): That all you got?!

You reclaimed your posture and the fire nevermore let loose another roar except flames have begun to emerge from its shout. You ran to the side to dodge the erupting flames as the flaming bird chased you with its attack.

The surrounding buildings were beginning to collapse from the intense heat coming from the battle ground. It was rather unbearable to the average human except you didn't seem to care at all from the high walls of fire.

So you decided to run straight towards the strange nevermore while ducking under the fire. As you were close enough, you prepared your right arm and unleashed a devastating uppercut while using your blade to add more damage.

You nearly missed as the nevermore dodged its head to the side although grazed its neck. It took the chance to knock you back with its remaining wing and you were sent flying onto a ruined building. You crashed against a wall except...

Velvet: (Y/N)!!!

The rabbit faunus stood on top one of the buildings since the surrounding area was covered in fire. She watched in horror as she arrived to see you impaled in a beam sticking out of a wall. The nevermore began to approach slowly for the finishing move.

Velvet: N-no... (Y/N)... I'm so sorry... I never should have left...

She began to cry her heart out as she fell to her knees.

Velvet: You only wanted to protect me... I-I love you...

You felt as though you heard her voice as you opened your eyes to find the nevermore very close to you. Radiating your cursed aura once again, you pulled yourself out and blocked an incoming attack from the nevermore with your bare hands.

The heat from the flaming nevermore began to burn your hands yet you kept your position.

The nevermore retreated from its attack and made an attempt to eat you except you side stepped. You reacted quickly and drew your extended blade.

(Y/N): You're done for!

You rapidly dashed through the flaming nevermore's neck and the massive grimm remained still for a brief moment until it fell to the ground with its head sliding off. Its flames died away and the body quickly vanished into dust.

Velvet: (Y/N)!!

You were unable to hear the brown haired rabbit faunus from the roars of the intense flames. So, you simply walked away into the fire while the pain in your heart still resides.

Velvet could only watch as you casually walked into the fire. She was at least thankful that you were walking near her position so she immediately bolted downstairs to find you. She didn't have to look any further as she found you resting in the same building she stood top of.

Velvet: (Y/N)?

You were surprised by the sound of her voice as you were leaning against the wall.

(Y/N): Velvet...

You weren't sure if she was still afraid of you but you were glad that she was at least approaching you.

Velvet: I-is it really you?

(Y/N): ... Yes... Its me...

Velvet: B-but Ranger and the others... They said you were dead...

(Y/N): I was..

She confused by your statement as took at look you to find any wounds but you were fully healed.

(Y/N): I'm slowly becoming a demon... Each time I die... I lose a little bit of humanity as I return from hell... I guess my old body remains as I come back to remnant...

She then took a look at yours eyes to find that they have permanently changed.

(Y/N): it all started when I was still a kid... Me and my parents were on our way from vacation when grimm attacked our car... I never made it... Yet three days later I arrived home... Not even family knows I died that day.

Velvet: I-im sorry... I never knew...

The rabbit faunus then surprised by pulling you into a hug. You were caught off guard by the sudden embrace but you allowed her to continue the hold.

Velvet: I never should have left you like that...

(Y/N): I forgive you... Nobody has seen this side of me...

You were then surprised once again when Velvet looked at you with a light blush on her cheeks. She leaned forward and placed a kiss on your lips. One that you gladly returned with your own.
